Tumblr media
They have since left four premature babies to decompose on their beds. They have since kidnapped, stripped, tortured civilians and tried to frame them as Hamas fighters for their propaganda. They have since shot people at refugee camps execution style. They have since targeted academics and poets and directors. They have since killed 86 journalists. Still no ceasefire.
psa: i know that many of us did NOT doubt this for a second, neither did i. this is targeted at the people who educated themselves for the first time about this genocide and discovered the absolute horrific things that Israel is capable of doing to Palestinians, with the unwavering support of its allies.

Okay so people have talked about how Steve fits in to the queer community in regard to his clothing choice.
i.e. it's commonly only mentioned in fics when they want to imply that he wouldn't fit in, and in response, discussion on tumblr about how Steve dresses very fashionably for the era and many queer men would have dressed like him
So I kind of want to expand on that.
Imagine Steve, who has always cared about dressing fashionably, but has had to hide the effort and any actual interest in fashion because it's too feminine. He already gets some little teasing jabs about it, especially his hair, but he looks good and is happy with the way he dresses.
And of course, that Steve is nervous that he won't fit in before his first entrance to a queer space because his limited experience tells him that it will be mostly alternative fashions. And when he does go and experience it, there are lots of alternative styles, but not nearly as much as he expected. Maybe it's a little more common with the women there, maybe not; either way, there are heaps of guys there dressed like him.
They've embraced their interest in men's fashion. They like expressing themselves through their clothing and their hair just like all the people representing their alternative subcultures. And that's a defiance, too. He gets to talk to people, men, who care about the way different styles of tops are cut and tailored to create different effects on the overall silhouette. They all think polo shirts are just perfect for his figure.
And yeah, there are the men who care about women's fashion and will wear it, and mix it with men's fashion (and they think he dresses great, too) but it's not just not for Steve (or maybe not yet, depending on your interpretation).
So, no- Steve doesn't look out of place in his trendy clothes.
