can we all just collectively forget and ignore the first two episodes of junjou romantica.. ESPECIALLY the first one. i'm one for acknowledging the flaws this show has as it's literally my hyper-fixation and has been for many years, but some of the authors choices cross the line unfortunately like many others (especially at the time) with the due fact to what other people have said and using common, moral knowledge.

OKAY FINE I WILL TELL YOU ONE MORE THING I LIKE ABOUT EGOIST BUT THAT’S IT!! ION LIKE THEM!!
So like I said before, I really like Gentle Giant x Evil Scary Little Man trope they’ve got going.
And like…I KNOW for a FACT (because I have a PHD in Headcanons) that Hiroki is also very abrasive towards others on behalf of Nowaki who is sometimes too nice for his own good.
Like he has NO fear telling you straight to your face:
“Don’t talk to him that way!”
Or
“Yeah, no, we have plans this weekend. Go cry about it.”
BUT ALSO
The two of them could be at a restaurant and when the food comes, Nowaki’s like, “This isn’t what I ordered but it’s fi-“
“It’s NOT fine!” Hiroki then waves over their waitress and speaks like an accusatory lawyer in defense of all things Nowaki, “exCUSE me! But this is NOT what he ordered!”

I've always loved the theory that Nowaki and Takano are half siblings
#junjou romantica#sekaiichi hatsukoi#its so plausible bc they look so much alike...and it would be so easy to find out nowadays#they both take a dna test and get notification that theres a possible cousin or half sibling in their area#i think nowaki would be ecstatic and takano would initially be wary but quickly warms up to nowaki#hiroki and ritsu would get along well enough too#lots of double dates i think#they almost certainly share a father but dont know much about him#takanos mother refused to say anything abt it and they havent spoken in years so theyll probably never 100% know#im using gender neutral pronouns bc this could be general OR femposting#it might come up in lavender fic. I’m reading Junjou Romantica - I’m only on chapter 2 and I’m already cracking up!!
(spoilers ahead)
So Hiroki has this young lover that he just started seeing, Nowaki. And Hiroki has been going to a cafe that’s across the street from one of Nowaki’s part-time jobs at a flower shop. He’s been going there to watch him from across the street for like 3 months - he even goes in disguise and every 7th time ‘accidentally’ bumps into him at the end of his shift so they can walk home together.
Already. Cute. Funny. Sweet.
One night, Nowaki asks Hiroki if it’s painful being with him (because Hiroki doesn’t express his feelings while Nowaki says he loves him) and Nowaki is like, ‘I know you won’t say those kinds of things to me but I think about why you do the things you do...’ and Hiroki is like ‘what things??’ and Nowaki says, ‘the cafe across the street, you’re always there while I’m working.’
And then Hiroki explodes into an anxious mess!! (ᗒ ᗨᗕ)
‘SHUT UP SHUT UP DON’T LOOK AT ME, GET OUT GET OUT, I’M MOVING TO THE MOUNTAINS LET EVERYONE KNOW’ he tries to kick Nowaki out of the apartment then hides under a blanket

Junjou Romantica / Sekaiichi Hatsukoi kpop stan lists (part 1)
Listen this is based on my own multi-stan list, but here's what kinds of kpop groups/ idols I think the different JR / SIH characters listen to.
Takahashi Misaki
I literally got the idea for this bc I was playing video games and couldn't get Twice's "Talk that Talk" out of my head.
So yeah I think he's a huge Twice fan and even though he was too embarrassed to admit it at first, he got Usagi into it as well and was soon showered with every kind of Twice merch money can buy.
Other groups he might stan:
Momoland, ILY:1, Iz*one, Itzy, Kep1er, Lightsum, Astro and MCND (cue Usagi being jealous of the bgs)
Usami Akihiko
Since Misaki got him into kpop, he's done some exploring himself but doesn't stan any groups too strongly, I think he would be very into 2nd and 3rd gen and equally attracted to soloists as well as groups.
Groups/idols he might stan:
Boa, AOA, Shinee/Taemin (only their earlier stuff), Mamamoo (they're my ults I have to mention them), Kwon Eunbi, Sunmi, IU, maybe even Chungha.
Kamijo Hiroki
He's been stanning since 1st gen, but like Akihiko he's never been too invested into it (and is quite snobbish about that fact until getting together with multistan-connoisseur Kusama Nowaki).
Detests noise music with his entire being and is convinced 4th gen is ruining the entire industry.
Is therefore very angry of the fact that Stray Kids is his guilty-pleasure group.
Groups/idols he might stan:
Similar to Akihiko, except take away Kwon Eunbi and Chungha, add Kim Woojin, gfriend and surprisingly Le Sserafim.
Kusama Nowaki
As stated above, he's an extreme multi-stan.
Whenever he can take a break during his stressful work he keeps up with all the different comebacks and fandoms of the groups he's interested in.
He doesn't actively participate in fandom and keeps out of fan wars. He rarely buys albums since he has to save his money, but when he really enjoys a comeback he will want to support the artists, moreso if they're less popular
