CBS Ghosts Review: Halloween 3, The Guest Who Wouldn't Leave
I am happy to see that from all my anons and other messages that lots of people agree with me about this being the best episode of the season so far. Cause it was, not to mention the best Halloween episode. I hope they continue to get creepier and weirder as the show goes on cause that would be awesome!
Now I'm not always a fan of the episodes where Sam and Jay try and social climb cause I don't like the people they become when they try and get on the good sides of those who can pull them upward (as I said to past anons, bring Mark back and find other normal people friends for them please, please please!)
But at the same time, the particular ritzy characters in this episode were perfect for it with how big their fear reactions were when they thought Jay was gonna murder them. Loved it.
And then there's Carol. Not really her biggest fan but I love the way Caroline Aaron plays her. And while Sam's behavior toward her was harsh and kind of rude, since she was there by mistake and acting like the awkward parent trying to fit in with the hip young people, I can see why Sam would be annoyed.
I was also surprised that a. they killed her at all b. they killed her so fast. (And I'm glad that was one of the preview snippets. If I'd seen without the heads up I would have been so shocked. I swore at the screen the first time I saw it.)
Her and Pete's reaction to seeing one another was pure gold and absolutely perfect and I love that the other ghosts are just as annoyed with her as Pete is. (Which will hopefully get the 'Pete is a cuckhold' jokes to stop, please and thank you.)
Jay, as usual, was the best sport in the world, going to dig where Flower had died to see if they could get anything that she had on her for the seance (And I mean, the look on the couple's faces when he came in with that shovel and he was covered in dirt? Priceless!)
I feel so bad for poor Pete having to be in the house with his wife who treated him horribly (and I feel even worse for poor Laura, when she finds out what happened thanks to a rogue doughnut hole,) but I'm also thinking that this will allow Carol and Pete to make some sort of peace in order for Carol to move on. (Or even if they just play nice for Laura's sake and that's enough.) Pete has so much baggage about Carol that he needs to unload and now is the time to do it, no holds barred, and I hope the other ghosts will continue to support him in whatever way they can. I can't wait for Pete to finally have his moment.
Also, I wasn't surprised by the reveal about Flower. The only way I would have believed she was truly gone is if we'd actually seen it, and it's incredibly in character for her to just wander off and fall into the well. But it's pretty far out of the way and Hetty seems to be the only one so far who knows about it (or the others know too and they haven't said anything.) Anyway, this was the best episode of the season and one of the best episodes of the entire show to me. Loved it! (as always if I forget to tag people because my list keeps being eaten/disappearing) reviews are always under #missie's ghosts reviews.

GRRM's latest 'Not a Blog' entry:
WINDS, you say?   Yes, still working.   Finally finished a clutch of Cersei chapters that were giving me fits.   Now I am wrestling with Jaime and Brienne.   The work proceeds, though not as fast as many of you would like. —Good Stuff, Bad Stuff, Strange Stuff - Not a Blog - JUNE 1, 2022
Where did I read this before???
AC: How do you decide what you’re going to work on, whose voice you’re going to work in today?  GM: Well, I don’t write the chapters in the order in which you read them. I get into a character’s voice. It’s always difficult to switch gears, actually. When I do make that transition from one character to another, I usually struggle for a few days trying to get back the voice of the character I’m just returning to after some hiatus. But once I get into it, I tend to write not just one chapter by that character, but three or four.  So I’ll be writing Jon Snow chapters, and I’ll carry that Jon Snow sequence as far as I can. And then at some point, maybe I’ll get stuck or not be sure what I should do next, or maybe I’ve just gotten way ahead of all of the other characters in the books, so I need to sort of rein myself in and make myself switch from Jon Snow to Sansa or Daenerys or somebody like that. —LoneStarCon 3: The George R. R. Martin Interview - AUG. 29, 2013

UPDATE
Q: You worked for several years doing scripts for television and it is common to hear that this is palpable in A Song of Ice and Fire, in the structure, always the same size of the chapters, and the cliffhanger endings. Do you agree with that notion? GRRM: Yes, there's an element of truth to that, I think the 10 years that I spent writing in television and film did teach me some techniques that I carried over to Game of Thrones and subsequent books. You know, one of the realities of working for a network like CBS, which was the primary network I worked for during my years in television, is of course you have commercials. So you may be doing a one-hour drama, actually you have 46 minutes, and you have that broken up into depending on the structure four or five segments, and the fear of the network's of course is always that people going to change the channel when the commercial comes on, so you have actor breaks every, every segment ends with an act break, and of course one of the strongest act breaks is the cliffhanger, but that's not the only kind of act break, you know, you'd go crazy if every act break was a cliffhanger, but usually an act break is, there's a revelation, there's a twist, there's an important new piece of information that comes, there's a reversal, there's a character revelation, something big that comes right before the commercial. And the idea is that that will hold the viewers in place while you, you know, try to sell them a yogurt, or a new car, or a can of coca-cola. It's a good technique and it became second nature to me, so when I started writing Ice and Fire, essentially all of the chapters end with actor brakes, of once or another, and the idea is much the same. I don't have commercials in between my chapters, but I do want the same thing, I want to keep you reading, so you read a Tyrion chapter and you end it, and it's got a ciffhanger, a reversal, a reveal, and you're very eager to find out what happens to Tyrion next, but of course you can't because now you have to read about Jon Snow, and then at the end of it there's an act break there and you want to find out what happens to Jon Snow next but of course you can't you have to read about Sansa. So, you know, I structured it this way deliberately, to provide a certain momentum, and, you know, judging by the reaction of you guys and other readers around the world, it seems to have worked pretty well, so I think I learned something useful from TV there. —KOSMOPOLIS // George R. R. Martin - July 28, 2012

So I watched the first two episodes of Criminal Minds Evolution, here are my thoughts:
Since this will be very long, I made a separate post with this one centering on the first episode. Will share my thoughts on the second episode in another post
*spoilers below* do not click if you haven’t seen the episodes
Update: I meant to work on this when I first watched the two episodes but didn’t get a chance to finish it. So the thoughts I had then are different from my thoughts on the episodes now after completing the season
cm 16x01/cme 1x01 Just Getting Started
You can already tell what a difference it makes to have a show being developed on a streaming platform. The cinematography looks impressive, betting lighting and no more of that disgusting yellow filter in the later seasons
The show feels more similar to Mindhunter than other CBS procedurals like NCIS, CSI and their spinoffs.
With the show on a streaming platform, they could have easily tried to amp up any violence and nudity but they didn’t. There’s little exploitation
For some reason JJ looked much better here than in the last three seasons.
Ditto for Emily looking stunning with the silver hair, way better than the wigs she wore in s14-15
I also love Tara’s natural hair look. Hell, the ladies all look great in season 16
You know that the show has gone for so long that Henry is now a teenager.
Deputy Director Bailey is getting on my nerves. Another obstructive bureaucrat trying to undermine the team. Barnes 2.0 but worse. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has an ulterior motive behind it
So Emily is now Section Chief, which means Cruz is gone (not helped that he basically vanished after 10x19)
Elias Volt (The guy at the beginning and end of the episode) seems more interesting as an unsub than Lynch
While it isn’t the first time we’ve seen a pissed off Garcia, it’s interesting to see her go off on Rossi, and it’s nice to see her stand up for herself
I was kinda bummed that after one date, Garcia and Luke didn’t attempt to pursue the relationship further. Either that or covid or something else. Still, their interactions were everything and I love the kiss on the cheek he gave her
You know that Rossi is at a low point when he eats microwave mac & cheese
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of them fridging Krystal. The man has already been through enough, he’s lost like two wives, Strauss and a few of his friends like damn. Even if the actress is unavailable, was her death really necessary? Along with a rehash of Carolyn’s death
Tara got a girlfriend, I’m so happy, she and Rebecca deserve all the love and appreciation
JJ looks so good in 16x02, and I love the intimate scene she has with Will near the end
Or course Emily would tease Tara about her relationship with Rebecca as well as JJ getting it on with Will in the morning. She is a mood though
I love Garcia and her coming back is bittersweet as I love seeing her work with the rest of the gang but at the cost of her new happy life
I miss Matt Simmons so much and wished he was acknowledged as much as Reid. At least Daniel is doing better in The Wheel of Time and CA2
Elias has a wife and two daughters, quite a dark parallel to JJ with her two sons or even Matt
Only two episodes in and Elias is a more interesting unsub than Lynch, it helps that Zach has a good performance. They better not mess that up
The network of serial killers is an interesting storyline and considering how underwhelming past storylines can be in cm, I fear the storyline will have an underwhelming ending
The end scene with the roundtable is so sweet, the gang is back together

The torture of disabled people is *still* legal in the US. And it’s still happening at the Judge Rotenburg Center in Massachusetts.
In 2010 the UN declared the devices torture!
In 2021 the DC circuit overturned the FDA ban to allow it to continue!
JRC uses this method of "punishment" alongside a reward room where children can spend points they earned by being good.
A common practice used in ABA.
Children as young as 3 years old attend this school and the students wear electrodes up to 24 hrs a day 7 days a week to receive "correction". This is a boarding school, students do not go home. They live at the school recieving this treatment everyday with chances of visits for good behaviour.
The UN has even reported the school as abusive and appealed to the US government to have this practice stopped.
Apparently the DC circuits claimed it's abusive but for a good purpose and that the devices are banned for general use but totally fine for one single purpose... this one.
But of course these would be illegal on criminals or in military use to extract information that could be "for a good purpose" because it's abusive and violates all sorts of laws.... but apparently not when the person is a vulnerable autistic or disabled person.
One parent sent their child to the school because he wouldn't allow physical contact in the form of hugs and would bite his arms. The child is now a young man of 24 and still lives at the school with occasional visits from his parents.
This is the most absolutely ridiculous thing to electrocute someone for and even more if the person needs 10+ years of their program and still has not graduated that should be proof it's not effective.
“The first shock was in my leg. It was a stinging, ripping, and pulling pain that froze time. I was standing when it happened, and I immediately fell because I lost control of my leg. It hurt, but didn’t really register with me. I wasn’t afraid yet.”
“I no longer had my meds, and I would get this itchy feeling, like a hundred ants under my skin. I would fight it, but then I would get a tingle down my spine, and then I would become terrified because I knew what was coming. My hands would get cold and shake. Then the burst would come. Like slamming my head on the desk over and over until the shock came. After that would be a strange feeling of calm and peace — because it was over with. I released the impulse and had gotten the coinciding shock.”
“Some actual behaviors I was shocked for were: covering my eyes with my hands, covering (pressurizing) my ears, tic-like body movements, wrapping my foot around the leg of my chair, not answering staff within 5 seconds, saying the word “no”, shaking my head, tightening my fingers for more than 2 seconds, waving my hands in front of my face, 5 verbal behaviors in an hour (talk to self, repeating, crying, bizarre speech, nagging), tensing up, getting out of my seat without permission, not following directions, and attempt to remove restraints.”
“The video of Andre McCollins being shocked on the board tells the story. It is absolutely terrifying. The anticipation and the helplessness of being tied down and not knowing when another shock is coming. And that was the point, to add more fear to the shock. I had this done to me many times. Only sick, sick people can think this is ok.”
“It’s so scary. I would ask God to make my heart stop because I didn’t want to live when that was happening to me. I just wanted to die and make it stop,” [Jennifer Msumba] told CBS News correspondent Anna Werner in an interview at her mother’s home outside Boston. “I thought, they won’t be able to hurt me anymore.”
“They grabbed my arms and walked me over to the board. Told me to sit then lie down and started locking me in. I was begging, pleading that I didn’t do anything and could they explain what I did. Nothing. I didn’t fight, I just shook. My limbs went cold with fear, knowing what was coming and having to wait for it. She went outside the door and closed it most of the way so I couldn’t see her. All I could do was breath in shudders and kick my one leg that was looser then the other. Then she shocked me out of nowhere. And said “there is no hurting yourself”. One down, 4 to go. When they do this, time stops and everything around me would turn into a nightmarish cloud. I would just beg in my mind for them to hurry up and do it. But the whole point is to MAKE you anticipate. To fear, to suffer. Not knowing when it’s coming. The shit is so sick and twisted, it should be in a movie. They put this show and tell on that they care, but this is what REALLY happens. This is what really fucking happens. After about 10 minutes of agonizing mental and physical torture and 5 shocks later, they took me off the board.”

JN and JW hinting they are starting to record for 127 cb album. The keyword is "starting" we may not know when it'll release it could be next year. DJJ start recording for mini album since Jan 2022 its means the plans had been cooked since 2021. DJJ is still busy with fansigns and if the fancon is a tour we might get another date at least until July. TY solo is on June 5th. Dream tours is still going until July 11th (if theres no additional show). If nct2023 will be release on Aug then Dream cb is on Sept (SM said they both in Q3). On the other hand, today timeline has been talking bout TI bbl, he said about sleeping for hours and feel hopeless. I dont know exactly what he refered it could be anything, but I bet its about lack of solo activity and his e-date is due. Or it could be about his songs got rejected by SM. SM has a plan for whole year, its only on Q2 yet already messed up (aespa and Taeyeon cb should be on April). Seems like he cant fit anything on the masterplan and he frustated. I pity him really, but SM is SM, they are business oriented company. He must be working on something profitable if making music doesnt give him a place in company. I wish he has a bit of DY/TY confidence in building his own idol self, doing something to gain attention from gp, networking with people in industries, creating his own portofolio on sns, etc.
I'd prefer to wait more but get a good result out of it.
Granted, we, fans, lost fate in SM after the mess of the last year, however, the delays were always a problem, meanwhile SM does have a record of performing well (2018 run, NCT2020 run). DJJ's debut and aespa's comeback show improvements in quality of preparations. As such, I wouldn't catastrophize. It's in SM's interest to give 127 an album this year. Album sales and new songs for a new tour bring money, not delays. It's not like 127 is an unprofitable group or a group from a small company that has no funds for a new comeback.
I think what's important to realise is that the fear of 127 disbanding is not valid anymore.
Taeil's bubble.
Fans in quirts "read the future". They put words in Taeil's mouth, they don't know what he feels really, what he meant to convey with his bubble. Who wouldn't want to have a long sleep? People dream of having lots of money and not needing to work. And here is Taeil, with money, and not needing to wake up 3 a.m.
Taeyong did a promotion today in a theme park for the Rose day. He said he always wanted to do something on this day, and here he is, giving out 605 roses on the street. The company heard his wish and arranged the flowers and the event. Is this mistreatment? If Doyoung and Taeyong get budget for their covers and dance numbers for a YT channel, then why it is expected that Taeil would be treated differently? Being the best vocal in the group? Why SM can give him two solo numbers for Link+ and center a cooking show for YT content around him, but "acts evil" otherwise?
We don't know what is the deal with Taeil. Is it the problem of scheduling and him needing to enlist soon, or maybe it's a problem of him being a less popular member and SM starting the solo releases with more popular members for a better publicity, or maybe he is stuck with the creative side of things/SM not finding him a worthy A-track yet. He will get his solo album sooner or later. Everyone does now, so there is no worry about that.
You wish Taeil to be like Taeyong or Doyoung. Will it make him happier? Why the fans refuse idols like him (homebodies who instead of wandering the streets of a new city spend hours playing pool or who cook meat in 20 ways) to exist and just be? He has respect from people around him, he is friends with renowned producers, he has security in his job, he travels the world, he has money for a private pilates instructor, he has time to play piano and guitar and learn how to compose, he has freedom of doing lives where he sings for hours for millions of people tuning in if he wishes so... and if he sounds or looks unhappy or frustrated sometimes it is because noone is always happy, it's simply impossible, our human programming doesn't allow it.
Anyways. Let's stop thinking for idols and pity those who made it to the top of idol career.

Woah. It’s finally season finale time. How the time flies. Let’s see if CBS’s Ghosts goes out with a bang in “Farnsby & B”.
- Ooh, the ghosts watched Hamilton! (Most likely on Disney+.) Most of them LOVED it. Isaac moodily says it was “....fine.” I was wondering how he’d react to watching the pro shot, so this is fun.
- The rich neighbors, the Farnsbys, drop by to give Jay and Sam lemon squares to celebrate how they’re opening the B&B. .... and then want to buy their house. Yup, it’s another attempt to try and get rid of the B&B. They even say “You have incurred the wrath of the Farnsbys” once Jay says “No.” I feel like with their money and privilege, they could’ve done something before now. And I feel like with the blackmail stuff from previous episodes, they wouldn’t feel inclined to do anything without addressing that first? I like how the BBC rich neighbors stopped directly trying to sabotage Button House after their first episode and just continued as an occasional obnoxious presence. This isn’t much better so far.
- Termites were just found in the basement. They need to tent, and they can’t put it off for too much longer. .... Ohhhh and Thor thinks that all the bad things happening to the house happened because he cursed them! Congrats to that one anon ask who predicted this.
... but it was a curse he placed at the beginning of the series offscreen, before Sam even fell. Did that happen offscreen? I don’t remember watching it. I only remember the curse he placed on them in “Viking Funeral.”
- When Trevor says curses aren’t real, Alberta replies with a remark that I really like: “We are stuck in an endless purgatory. We saw a guy go down on us last week. And curses are where you draw the line?”
Honestly, if there was some clear evidence that curses are in fact real, that would be kinda fun! But nah. It’s all “maybe... maybe not!”
- Awww, Hettie asks Isaac if there’s been any progress with Nigel. Sadly, there isn’t, and ever since Isaac “noped” out of Nigel trying to move forward, they haven’t talked. I’m so glad this is getting looked into again, and that Hettie has been such a good confidante for Isaac during this time. Also this fun exchange happens when Hettie encourages Isaac to take a chance, and that he shouldn’t let fear control him:
Hettie: “Do not sacrifice your.... shot.”
Isaac: “....Please don’t tell me you’re quoting Hamilton. Incorrectly, I might add.”
And then later...
Hettie: “.... In the room where things are happening.”
Isaac: “Please stop.”
Hettie: “I will.”
I know this is sitcom humor, but I like musical theater too much.
- So... the Farnsbys are trying to stop the B&B from happening by opening their OWN B&B at a much cheaper rate and calling it the “Farnsby & B.” This is a weird decision. We JUST heard them say how they want to avoid outsiders coming in and staying/making noise NEAR their house. Now they’re bringing it TO their house? All to ruin Jay and Sam’s business? Like.... maybe they’re doing it because they think they’ll “outlast” Jay and Sam, forcing them to stop before the Farnsbys can do it for too much longer. But man, talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. I just got to the next scene and yeah, they're planning on bleeding the neighbors dry while doing the thing they definitely hate.
How CLOSE/FAR even is their house from Woodstone Hall? I thought they were that standard suburb-y “We’re actually pretty far from you but we’re somehow calling ourselves neighbors” distance. I’ve definitely never seen the two houses in a shot together.
- Jay and Sam visit the Farnsby & B to return the lemon square tin and figure out what the hell is going on. WOAH there’s another ghost in the house! In the Farnsby house! And she wants to know if Reagan really became president in the 80s.
Man, I can’t wait to see what her deal is!
... We don’t see what her deal is. Talk about disappointing. (She’s probably just, like, a hint at things to come for next season, but still)
- Isaac goes looking for Nigel, but Nigel.... is gone? What? He got SUCKED OFF? OFF SCREEN? SAY PSYCH!
Ok, back from watching the whole episode. What happened was: another redcoat (Jenkins) was in the shed when Isaac came to find Nigel. Jenkins tells Isaac that he thought Isaac already knew... Nigel got sucked off. No explanation how, but no explanations are needed. Isaac is devastated. And so was I.
- Thor admits his pre-meeting curse to Sam. Sasappis says Thor’s curses don’t work, but then the living room chandelier falls and breaks. Again, I don’t remember a curse being placed in the first episode, but they still didn’t address a curse that had been clearly placed in a different episode.
Anyway, Thor says there’s only one way to undo the curse, and that it involves boiling ingredients from distant lands in a cauldron. I saw these jokes coming a mile away, but still loved them.
Thor: “One pound.... sugar.
Trevor: “Oy gevalt.”
then...
Thor: “Rare spice from far away land... goes by name of... cinnamon.”
Of course there’s the weird fact that Thor does not know by now that sugar and cinnamon are readily available. Not only has he been living in this place for centuries, but also I’m sure Jay the chef would’ve used these things at some point.
- The curse reversal works like this: Take sugar and cinnamon and put them in boiling water. Thor will say an incantation, and then they wait.... 50 years.
Nahhh, that’s curse breaking humor. It should happen immediately.
- Alberta asks if this is gonna reverse the previous bad things, or just prevent future bad things. Thor doesn’t know. Alberta thinks that this curse breaking will take away Sam’s ability to see the ghosts, since her falling gave her the ability to see them. Sasappis and a few others try to point out that there’s a big chance it won’t be reversed, so she should go ahead.
Isaac stops this because he’s learned that it’s important to say things to people if you think you may not see them again. He tells Sam that she changed all their afterlives for the better. (Also she should finish his biography, she really dropped the ball on that)
Hettie says that it was an honor knowing Sam, and that she’d won her heart and is like a daughter to her now. (With a harlot’s hair)
Pete says she can be a part of his troupe any day, and that he loves Jay. (He doesn’t point this out, but I should clarify, just in case: this is a friendly “love”, not a romantic admission)
Thor thanks Sam for the Viking funeral and apologizes for the curse. (She can’t be mad at him now that he apologized, he points out)
Alberta says she’ll miss Sam, but she should still solve her murder. Still, if Sam stops seeing them, Sam can just stand in the center of a room and say hello. Alberta will hear it.
Sasappis thanks Sam for helping him tell his story.
Trevor thanks Sam for being a true friend. He wishes that when she dies, she’ll be a ghost and they can be together. He doesn’t even care how old she’ll be. He knows she’ll “keep it tight.” Man, I like him too much by now to be annoyed.
Flower says Sam’s the best things since shrooms. Which led to her death, but then led to Sam. Thanks, shrooms.
Even with the little jokes, all these moments are super cute and sweet. It’s so nice to see how everyone grew to truly love Sam, and vice versa.
.... so yeah, they’re not “reversing the curse.” I get why Sam decides this, but I kinda wish they went ahead with it anyway. It just feels silly that they believe this will DEFINITELY take the ghosts away when there’s no proof that it would. Even if they’re “playing it safe”, it just doesn’t feel that serious. I really REALLY don’t think reversing the curse would “reverse” something like this. They could have even done something where the ghosts still being visible PROVES that Sam’s new power isn’t a curse at all. It’s a blessing. At the very least, I wish there was a clearer sign that the curse is indeed a real entity, and that they couldn’t break it.
Anyway, this leads to Sam saying that, if Farnsbys are trying to beat them at their own game (B&B), then Jay and Sam can simply beat the Farnsbys at THEIR own game. (apparently pickleball somehow. Jay was established as a good pickeball player earlier with the guy who helps repair their house.)
- Sam and Jay confront the Farnsbys and, after reminding them that they HATE running the current B&B, propose a pickleball game for the sake of the B&B. They’ll play at a pickleball country club. If the Farnsbys win, they buy Woodstone Manor. Ah, a true sitcom climax.
... Which will mostly happen off screen. Yup, it cuts to One Hour Later, and Sam and Jay describe what happened to the ghosts. There are two minor flashbacks to game events, but no montage or full scenes. While I don’t think I would’ve been interested in watching that game, it still feels weird to just... speed through it like that. And I’m STILL disappointed that they didn’t utilize the new ghost from earlier.
- So the pickleball game didn’t start out great. Apparently Jay was playing a pickleball VIDEO GAME. He believed WHOLEHEARTEDLY that it was the same set of skills, and that he’d be good enough to win against people who have won real awards for pickleball. They bet the HOUSE on this. Dick move and idiot move, Jay. My respect for you has lowered.
Anyway, Farnsby’s back fell out near the end. Sam and Jay won by default. Josh and Leanne are on their way to check in right now because they have no other options.
.... This feels very anticlimactic. Fortunately, it’s saved by what happens next.
- Yayyyy, Nigel wasn’t sucked off! But he’s angry at Isaac. Apparently, he thought Isaac was having a relationship with Thor. Jenkins told Nigel this, and he was the one who told Isaac about Nigel getting sucked off. Jenkins and Nigel had a tryst 150 years ago, and was so jealous that he sabotaged this proto-relationship.
- Isaac finally gets the courage to say that he likes Nigel. And it’s just as sweet as you imagine. Nigel says he likes Isaac too. Yessssss. :3
- Finally, the time comes. Sam says that they beat the curse. It was to stop them from OPENING the B&B, after all. But they’re open now! It’s over. Sam and Jay go to the front door to welcome their guests.
“Welcome to Woodstone B&B.”
... and then the floor breaks down around them because of the termites.
Saw it coming. Still a little humorous.
The End!
Wow. What a ride. I went into this show with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. As we got further into season one, this show grew into something that complements the BBC version very well. It has unique characters and the space to grow with them. It’s brave enough and has enough time to see the ghosts of other locations, which also makes the world of the show even larger. Whenever it tried to imitate or redo the BBC show, almost everything fell flat. But when it leaned into its unique character moments and heart (and discarded at least some of that stupid American sitcom humor), CBS Ghosts became something I was very happy to watch. I genuinely want to see more of it, especially in hopes of seeing how our main ghosts may get sucked off.
The finale wasn’t the show at its best, though. I have a lot of nitpicky notes, and some parts feel rushed/flimsy. However, I still like most of the characters, and definitely all the main ghosts. The Isaac/Nigel stuff saved it.
It may be a while before I make another post like this, if I return to do it at all. Still, feel free to send in your Ghosts thoughts, and if you want me to return for season 2.

Totally understand where you are right now. I have been on a similar journey of detachment after being pretty sure for years that they had something else going on. But it's been weird for a while, I don't know if it's me changing and seeing things differently, or since I've been of the idea that they are dating for a while I may have gradually raised my own expectations and I now apply the standards of my ideal committed relationship to what we see of theirs and get disappointed if they don't fit it? Certainly the pandemic has changed what kind of content we see of them and how often. And it must have changed them too as people. I still think they're extremely close and in good terms, the last time we know of them being out together outside of work is march which isn't that bad considering they've been busy with cb preparation (and most likely solo debuts too). Or we saw them at the arcade in hobi's stories and even if they were not interacting in those seconds they wouldn't have both gone if they aren't okay. I'm just not so sure right now they are anything but close friends. I still think some things in the past are very suspicious and I'm pretty positive they explored the romantic side somehow at least for a while but that's as far as I feel I can go. And now with bts releasing another disappointing album with jiminless songs and autune level 5000 there's really nothing to stay around for. At least before all the negativity from tkers and other akgaes was balanced out by nice content, but now it feels all so staged and like today even an innocent photoshoot (idek why jikookers hyped it so much anyway... jikook didn't even jikook at all) only brough hate to jimin, and jikook relationship and a trending # to have tk subunit. I'm not gonna put up with all this shit anymore.
I was honestly holding on to the hope that maybe things would change but it's been a while since the only thing that has been giving me reason to believe they were involved, it was just Jimin. I still have a hard time thinking of things like "waking up and seeing Jungkook" or "I get obsessive when Jungkook doesn't answer my calls" and connecting it to platonic feelings when it's coming from a 27 year old man. I'm not a man, but I am 27 years old too. If Jimin was a kid, like he was in the first years, I could dismiss all that.
Then there are things that don't make sense to me. And even if I really wanted to keep trying to understand, the truth is that I don't have the tools to.
Yes, the content has changed, the frequency and the quality of it, but it's not the content that's missing that made me feel differently; I feel different about them precisely because of what's in front of everyone's noses. I can't know what I don't see, I can only make decisions and react to what I see them doing or saying.
The content is little, so whatever they show is what they want to show and.. that says enough to me. That's what each of them want us to keep of them, it's what they want people to know about them. None of them goes on vlive or in front of a camera to tell embarrassing stuff or things that they'd rather not show, they go in front of the cameras and show exactly what they want to show and say exactly what they want to say.
I deactivated my army account like a week ago lol, I had a bad feeling and I was not about to put up with whatever vitriol I feared would go down. I always make the best decisions based on my feelings haha. I do want to enjoy the album or whatever this comeback is, at least try to enjoy it because I wonder if I'll regret it later if I don't.

I GOT MY ALBUMS!!!!!! A DAY EARLY!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGH *dancing in a circle*
i got jun's album for the carat version and i'm so sick of there being 13 guys in this group bc my chances of getting woozi are so stupidly low and i'm not about to start trading bc that way lies madness. i don't care about kpop men THAT much. but also can i at least get one of the guys whose face is shaped enough for me to be able to recognize it,
heejin finally announced her album and preorders opened, but unfortunately i'm gonna have to skip it bc i can't...do another ktown order so soon....i have bills and i need to buy winter clothing + stuff for my kitchen/apt. i WISH i could be one of those "employed so i have money for my hobby but living with my parents who are not making me pay any rent or utilities" kpoppers but unfortunately, as you already know,
i feel only kinda bad bc i didn't get oec re-debut either...the stars just did not align for it and they won't align for any modhaus releases i fear, which sucks bc i like kim lip a lot and i would LOVE to have their music too to go with loossemble & chuu...but again. not a rich bitch. have to be realistic and manage my financials accordingly.
now i'm just waiting for target to actually ship my fucking svt album (they STILL haven't shipped it, and the one i work at has NOT stocked it bc our tech dept is a disaster), and then....that'll be it for this cb.
i also preordered a vidy game bc it's been...a while...since i last used my switch, and i like fashion games, so i am getting fashion dreamer and we'll see if it opens my switch era again. i do need to actually..play..my shining pearl game i got....haha,,

RANDOM THOUGHTS
“If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.” --- James Madison
“The spirit was freedom and justice, and it's keepers seem generous and kind, it's leaders were supposed to serve the country, but now they won't pay it no mind, 'cause people grew fat and got lazy, and now their vote is a meaningless joke, they babble about law and order, but it's all just an echo of what they've been told.” --- Steppenwolf
“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence. It is force, like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.” --- George Washington
“What good fortune for governments that people do not think. --- Adolf Hitler
“Watson, is it not elementary to ask: Who, What, Where, How, When, and Why?” ---- Sherlock Holmes
“Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.”  --- Richard Salant, former President of CBS News
“We seek the free flow of information…a nation that is afraid to let people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation afraid of its people.” --- John Kennedy
“I believe that if the people of this nation fully understood what Congress has done to them…they would move on Washington; they would not wait for an election.  It adds up to a preconceived plan to destroy the economic and social independence of the United States.” ----George W. Malone, U.S. Senator from Nevada, 1957
“The high office of President has been used to foment a plot to destroy American’s freedom, and before I leave office I must inform the citizen of his plight.” ---John F. Kennedy at Columbia University, 12th November, 1963 --- 10 days before his murder on November 22, 1963.
“The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes.” ---- Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court Justice
“Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws.” ---- Mayer Rothschild
“We have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known.  I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks, hereinafter called the FED.  They are not government institutions.  They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers…” --- Louis McFadden, U.S. Congressman, 1932
“…the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency.  By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens.” ---statement by Lenin
“The power to tax involves the power to destroy.” --- Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Marshall, 1819
“We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.” --- Winston Churchill, 1903
“We shall have World government, whether or not we like it.  The only question is whether World government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” --- James Warburg, (Rothschild agent, speaking to a Senate Subcommittee, 1950
“The Trilateral Commission is international and intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States.  The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power—political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical.” --- U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater
Since the beginning of recorded time men have tried to dominate other men.  There has never been a period of history when some individual, group or race was not planning, conspiring or actively working to take advantage of another individual, group or race.  Yet, many Americans actually ridicule the idea that an international cadre of very powerful placed people would “conspire” to dominate our nation’s banking, media, and government. The Elite have done a masterful job of creating the paradigm that to speak of conspiracy is politically incorrect and something to be dismissed as not relevant.
“There is nothing more terrifying than ignorance in action.” --- Goethe
“Oh mortal man, is there anything you cannot be made to believe?” --- Adam Wieshaupt (founder of the Illuminati, 1776)
The Elite know that they have to break the economic, social and political structure of America if they are going to achieve their goal of a One World Government.  This is certainly not pleasant to think about, and it is much easier to ignore this information.  If we want a nation where our generation and our children enjoy freedom and equality of justice, then we have to wake up and take corrective action.  As Benjamin Franklin said, “Make yourself sheep and the wolves will eat you.”
“The only thing necessary for evil to triumph  is for good men to nothing.” --- Edmund Burke

Doomed | Hongjoong
Word count: 358
Genre: Romance, Angst
Type: Hongjoong x Gn!Reader
Warnings: Pinning, Terrible families, mentions of blood, heartache, obsessive love. Kissing, neck kisses.
Synopsis: Your lives were completely different. Your families hated one another But you two couldn't stay away from each other, no matter how hard you tried.
Prompt: "I can't stay away from you..."
Trope: Forbidden Love
Romantic Tropes Mini-Series -> Other Members <-
Tumblr media
Your love was doomed from the start. Meeting him under the blanket of night. You both knew it was forbidden. Longing touches, slight glances, hidden messages. Anything to give one another the affection you both so dearly craved. if your coven found out you would be stripped from your community, banished and left alone. If his parents—the two pure vampires that turned him—found out, he would be dead within the second the words left anyone’s lips. It was hopeless.
But yet you ran, past the sleeping town, into the dark forest. The border of the town where the witches don’t dare to cross. Yet you ran headfirst, running to the man you swore you wouldn’t fall for. The creature that was Undead and cold. The man who brought you nothing but happiness, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
He ran, from his life, from his family, from his duty to his clan. His plan was simple, get you, pack up and run. Far away where no one could hurt either of you. He ran, just like you. To the place where you first meet. To the place where you both knew, you would never be able to forget one another.
He spotted you first, immediately smelling your scent. Weaving through the trees, you finally come in contact, bracing him with open arms. Tears streaming down your face, you bury your face into his chest. Holding him tight you fear if you let go he would disappear. He pulls your face up, smashing your lips to his in desperation.
“I can’t stay away from you.” He gasps through the kiss, trailing it down to your neck, trying to kiss every part of your skin he could reach. Your fingers dove into the ends of his hair, tugging tightly. Your heart was breaking, you lost your coven, your life, everything. But your heart was so full, being with him made you realize that family isn’t always your bloodline.
“I love you. And I’m never letting you go, not now, not ever,” He spoke, your foreheads leaning against one another. Time was slowing, your life was changed forever. And all you could do was smile, knowing his word was the only thing you needed.

I was asleep.
Everyone remembers where they were. I was sleeping.
I was in college then. Summer quarter had ended a few weeks ago, and Fall quarter was a few weeks away, so I had nothing to do that Tuesday. I was sleeping.
My mother would get up to help get my father ready for work. He'd leave a little after 6 AM. Then she'd stay up and turn on the KTLA Morning News. We weren't in Southern California, but we'd lived there and had family connections there, so it felt like a "local" newscast, even though it was a thousand miles away. So most weekdays, I'd fade into consciousness, hearing the rhythm of the broadcast.
Carlos to Mark, Mark to Jennifer, Jennifer to Sam, Commercial, Repeat.
That morning, none of that.
I couldn't really hear what was going on, but it wasn't normal. There were no jokes, no music, no commercials, no changes. Just a steady drone.
I started to listen, to try to hear what was happening.
I heard something about the Pentagon and a bomb at the State Department.
Well. That's not good.
I roll out of bed and into the living room. It was a little after 7:30.
There's a helicopter shot of giant cloud of dust on the TV. Dust. A few buildings. here and there. But dust. Everywhere. It looked like Mt. St. Helens had moved to the city and erupted.
It wasn't the Pentagon. It wasn't the State Department. Was that New York?
"Planes hit the World Trade Center towers." My mother's voice is shaky.
Okay, then, somewhere in that dust are the towers. They build those things to survive plane strikes. It survived the bomb in '93. The Empire State Building got hit by a plane and it's still standing. She told me that they'd fallen, but I didn't believe her. I couldn't believe her. They're just hidden by the dust and the dust will clear.
The dust will clear. The towers can't just fall. You'll see.
The dust will clear.
There was nothing there.
---
We watched what was unfolding on the other side of the continent all day long. I think my father got sent home early and joined us.
Watching a day like that unfold live is an experience that's hard to describe. You look back now, and there's a clear timeline, there are clear events. But on that day, nothing was clear. The news was an unbroken stream of numbing repetition and confusion. The anchors narrating what's going on have a worse view of it than you do, because they're squinting at small monitors halfway across the studio. You can flip between CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and pick up little tidbits here and there, but they can't. They only have what comes through their earpiece, what ends up on their TelePrompTer, what's handed to them on paper. No one knows what's going on, not even the people telling you what's going on.
That day was full of rumors and confusion. There were attacks at the State Department and the FBI, there was a plane that had crashed in rural Pennsylvania, there was a plane that had been hijacked in Alaska. We didn't know what was real, and what was a phantom of fear. But mostly, it was just the numbing repetition. There was nothing new to add. Nothing more to say at 1 PM that hadn't been said at noon. What got repeated is what had happened, what didn't get repeated hadn't. The plane crash in Pennsylvania got repeated. The attack at the State Department didn't.
All day long, it was the same video from earlier in the day. Maybe a new angle as reporters and survivors got their footage to a TV station. But we watched it again and again. Maybe there'd be a new detail to see, something to fill in another piece of the What The Fuck Just Happened puzzle we were now living in.
In a weird way, that day didn't seem as bad as it went on and the rumors subsided and the scope became clear. My morning started with a dust cloud that covered all of Lower Manhattan and obscured what had happened. Had the towers toppled sideways and crushed dozens of buildings for blocks around? It was 9 AM on a Tuesday, a work day, those buildings were full, and the area was a major commuter hub. 10000 people in each building, maybe tens of thousands passing through, hundreds of thousands in that cloud of dust. There's no one alive down there. The initial estimates they gave were 20-30 thousand in the collapsed towers alone, to say nothing of the people suffocated by that cloud of dust and smoke. And then Washington DC is under attack and they're even hijacking planes in Alaska. What are they going to do to us next? But the death toll steadily dropped, other rumored attacks were found to be false alarms, they didn't come back for a second round. But that "good" news didn't make us feel any better. What would've made us feel better would've been word that they had been rescuing dozens of people from the rubble, stories of survivors being found days later, but that news never came.
---
Where's the President? Why haven't we seen the President? Why hasn't he said anything?
"He's safe and in an undisclosed location."
On September 10th, George W. Bush was just a bumbling dumbass who'd stolen the election from Gore. He wasn't yet a warmonger, although he'd surrounded himself with them.
On September 11th, Bush was still a bumbling dumbass, but he was our President. I was actually glad that he was invisible and hidden most of that day. We didn't know what in the hell was going on. If I knew where the President was, then the assholes who did this to us would know where he was, and no matter how much I didn't like the guy, I certainly didn't want to see a terrorist attack on Air Force One or the White House.
But I was worried that he'd send in the missiles and bombers and turn everything from Morocco to Pakistan to ash, which is what some people were calling for before we even knew who was responsible. And that's not what happened. All that happened that day was... nothing. I respected that, and I still respect that. Rushing headlong into revenge isn't what we needed that day.
---
We ended that day, not with Dan Rather or Peter Jennings or Tom Brokaw, but with Hal Fishman, legendary anchor on the KTLA News at Ten. He was a plane guy. He'd know what happened. He was comfortable to us, familiar, and we needed to know there was still something out there comfortable and familiar.
---
The next day, my mother wanted a break from it all, so we went shopping. I don't think we needed to, and Wednesday wasn't the normal shopping day, but we just had to get out, so we went to Wal-Mart.
Throughout the store, there were TVs hanging from the ceiling. Normally, they'd show ads and music videos and things. Not that day. They were all tuned to CNN. People stopped in the middle of the aisle, watching Condoleezza Rice or Donald Rumsfeld or Colin Powell or whoever giving a press conference.
There was no break from it.
---
Does everyone else know it was a Tuesday? I mean, just know. Like somehow that is an important, integral part of what happened that day. Because I know it was a Tuesday with that same fierceness as I know that the towers fell. I don't remember all the flight numbers or which tower was hit first or which one fell first or even a single word of what the President said that night, but I know it was a Tuesday. And I don't understand why.
---
I've cried over it. I just did while writing all this. It's one of the few things I have cried about. But it's never sustained weeping. One tear. Maybe two. It feels like it should be more, but then it's like the scale becomes incomprehensible and unreal and it stops. What good will my tears do? They won't fix it. They won't change it.
---
"Never Forget", they say, but twenty years on, many of you have no memory of that day, maybe even weren't born yet. You've only seen the packaged videos from the perfect camera angles. You know what happened, the full story told from beginning to end across three acts in a two hour movie. You know the death toll, you know about the box cutters, you know how Osama Bin Laden ends, you know where the undisclosed location is, you know about the plane that said "Let's Roll". We didn't know any of that, sometimes for days or weeks or years. We only knew shock and confusion and sadness and anger and numbness and a giant cloud of dust that has not cleared and will never clear and still coats everything in our lives, even if we were thousands of miles away.
For those of us who saw that day...
Never forget?
How could we?

Cap-Ironman RecWeek: Tropey Tuesday
Over the past year my pandemic brain decided it would produce happy chemicals exclusively by reading and writing Stony fanfiction. On the advice of counsel, I decided to take my happy chemicals where I could get’em. And the result is that I’ve had the tremendous pleasure of reading some absolutely incredible works of art by some immensely talented people. And since it’s @cap-ironman RecWeek, I figured this is as good of an excuse as any to make some posts recommending my favs (and try to keep self-recs to a minimum, but I’m only human).
I skipped Multiverse Monday since I’m still not well-versed enough in the multiverse to talk about it with any kind of recommendational authority, but today is Tropey Tuesday, and so I would like to share some fics from my all-time-favorite, major-reason-I-bother-with-the-MCU, gets-me-every-time trope:
Found Family
And so, without further ado, here are some Found Family Stony fics that I simply adore.
Avengers Family Ficlets
Author: elwenyere
Word Count: 8,548
Summary: “You built a neural network that analyzes squash,” Bruce said flatly, “and you attached it to a laser.” A collection of short stories set in the extended Domestic Avengers Universe.
Why You Should Read It:
Thing number one that you should understand about me is that I would be perfectly happy with a story about body-less entities making funny quips at each other in  a featureless void, and anything else is just a bonus. Elwenyere’s stories consistently get the banter down so unbelievably, ridiculously well that when you find out they also have heart, creativity, well-developed characters, and so much damn feeling in them, it feels like an embarrassment of riches.
Go read all of their stuff, please, but this one’s a great place to start. It’s got everything you could possibly want in a fic: over-competitive pumpkin carving, emotional hospital confessions, Christmas decorations that come to life and attack people, crab dip, Steve Rogers accidentally ruining Thanksgiving through the sheer power of his own snark, and most importantly, a bunch of human disasters that somehow make a beautiful family together.
Executive Party
Author: copperbadge
Word Count: 3,228
Summary: Tony's terrible December is suddenly looking up.
Why You Should Read It:
Copperbadge is another author where you should read everything they’ve put out there. They’ve got this phenomenally creative mind that manages to consistently draw out deeply human stories that can kinda catch you off-guard in the places they find touching moments. You might’ve heard of their very popular Foodieverse, which is an incredibly creative AU with the Avengers in the food service industry, but this is the one I come to whenever I’m looking to indulge in my favorite trope.
Tony’s looking forward to spending the night before SI breaks for Christmas doing paperwork. Steve gets the Avengers to have an impromptu video game Christmas Party in his office instead. Cb’s also got a gift for banter (I have a type when it comes to writers, ok?), and the little details like Steve’s carnage record on GTA, Natasha’s Russian appreciation for country music, and Steve’s SHIELD break-up mixtape make it just a goddamn delight to read.
patchwork people
Author: itsAllAvengers
Word Count: 28,247
Summary: It was a pretty well-known fact that Tony Stark had control issues. It was far less well-known why, though.
CW: Past abuse and non-con (not by main pairing)
Why You Should Read It:
If you’re the kind of person who regularly thinks to themself “You know what Tony Stark needs? More trauma,” then this is the fic  for you.
Tony’s got some serious trust issues and PTSD thanks to some shitty, shitty exes. This is the story about how Tony learns to trust again, Avenger by Avenger, in his new Found Family. Come for the Whump, stay for the found family insomnia infomercial parties and Steve Rogers getting arrested for enacting some sweet, sweet karmic justice.
And now we get into a sub-genre of Found Family that is also a huge weakness of mine: Tony thinks he’s only tolerated instead of wanted, and his found family convinces him otherwise.
Some Things Shouldn’t Be a Chore
Author: scifigrl47
Word Count: 22,187
Summary: Steve takes things like personal responsibility and respect seriously. Tony's got people he pays to take care of that kind of thing, and anyway, he's pretty sure that he's going to die of some exotic disease in his workshop, because Dummy's still a little spotty about what is 'clean' enough to put on an open wound.  The rest of the Avengers are in this for personal gain, except for Clint, he just enjoys being a dick. And some things shouldn't be a chore.
Why You Should Read It:
Honestly it feels a bit like cheating to recommend the first work in scifigrl47′s tremendously popular Toasterverse, since I’m pretty sure a lot of people who don’t even like or regularly read fanfiction have liked this one, even indirectly. Sci is so ludicrously good at building an engaging, creative, character-driven universe that this series is responsible for most of the fanon you know and love about MCU fanfics. Tony’s bot Butterfingers? Sci made him up for this story. Thor’s love of Pop Tarts? Clint the vent goblin? All sci. They’re just that damn good at world-building.
In this fic, the Avengers try out a chore chart. Hilarity and feels ensue. I don’t want to say anymore and risk spoiling it because if you’ve managed to get far enough in Stony fanfiction to read this post and haven’t yet read the Toasterverse, I want to keep the experience pristine for you to enjoy. Please read this. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll reserve a hypothetical genie wish to make this series the actually canon MCU (God knows I have).
Hold the Things You Wanna Say
Author: SailorChibi
Word Count: 6,316
Summary: Tony is still a consultant, and between SI, the team and SHIELD he's overworked and exhausted. That's okay. He and Steve have been having sex for weeks but that's all it is, just sex, and Tony wants more but he'll never get it and that's okay. Really. What's not okay is the fact that Howard Stark has somehow appeared in the future and is the same as always. This is definitely going to fuck up his schedule.
CW: Abuse, Howard Stark’s A+ Parenting
Why You Should Read It:
SailorChibi’s one of those authors I’ve been meaning to get around to reading all their stuff for, but it’s tricky when you have a short attention span and an author that is just so damn prolific. They’re a multi-fandom maven consistently putting out some really great stuff, and they’re absolutely worth checking out.
This story’s a real yank on the heartstrings, and as someone who can really identify with Tony’s fear of failing the people he cares about, the point in the story where he reaches his low is just unbelievably poignant. But the warmth and the wholesomeness of the end made my heart grow three sizes the day I read it. And the love that all these idiots have for each other is just so damn palpable in this story, it damn near made me cry.
Irreplaceable
Author: Orphan Account :(
Word Count: 4,952
Summary: There are obvious downsides to being the only member of the Avengers who is not a super soldier, a god, or a super assassin, and does not Hulk out when aggravated. The most obvious one is that when villains want bait, they've got a go-to guy. Tony already knew Mondays sucked. He did not need his opinion reinforced this way.
Why You Should Read It:
It’s such a bummer I can’t plunder this author’s other works because I love this one so much!
Tony gets kidnapped and says a lot of self-deprecating things that, unbeknownst to him, are projected on a live feed to the Avengers. They rescue him and have some opinions about how easily he could be replaced. This story’s got Tony hiding from feelings like an idiot, Steve manually carrying Tony somewhere the Avengers can say nice things about him, and a lot of feels.
That’s it for today! Tune in tomorrow for some AU recs!

Chapter 4
It’s funny how life moves so quickly, but agonizingly slow at the same time.
We had been on the hunt for the prince of darkness after he resurfaced 26 years after what we thought was his last crime in California. He had been across the 48 continuous states, leaving his mark of crimes all over the map. Initially, we were confused as to why he would reappear in Los Angeles if he never hit the same city twice until we noticed a pattern. Billy Flynn was recreating his original murders to taunt Matt Spicer, a survivor, and tell him he’d be going after Spicer’s family because he wanted recognition for the murder that had made Spicer a “city hero”, he wanted to be part of the story. They were horrible and vile crimes one after the other and we were working nonstop to catch him. The case took a turn when we found out he was going after Ellie and Kristin Spicer, Matt’s daughter, and sister, respectively.
The case took a turn when we sent Spicer and Morgan to retrieve the family thinking Flynn was going to take them from Matt’s house. But it was too late, he had gotten there before them. The duo decided to go to Kristin’s house believing he needed privacy to conduct whatever he was planning. Hotch, Prentiss, and I were in a car as we got intel from Morgan, waiting on the address of the sister’s house. But it didn’t make sense, that wasn’t personal enough for him. It didn’t tie into the story. Being stuck in traffic was exasperating, and it only got worse once we lost cell reception in the middle of a call.
Against my better judgment, we headed to Kristin’s apartment where we found out she had been gone for hours and Morgan had never arrived.
“Something must have changed,” Emily expressed.
“The cells are down,” Kurzbard chimed. “Now how the hell do you find them?”
“What would cause Morgan to change his like that when he knows he can’t tell us?” My father spoke up, worry evident in his eyes.
“The unsub had Spicer’s sister and daughter; Morgan knew he didn’t have a lot of time.” Hotch analyzed.
“So, his first guess had to be right.”
“The unsub attacked Spicer specifically through his family,” Emily commented.
“How long has Spicer’s sister lived here?”
“6-7 months.”
“Well, that’s why they didn’t come here.”
“If the unsub wants to hurt Spicer, hell do it someplace that means something to him. Morgan must have realized the same thing.” I thought. “The unsub and Spicer do share one place in common.”
“Santa Monica.”
“Where he killed his parents,” I finished.
“Let’s go.” Hotch started the quick walk to the cars to speed off to Spicer’s childhood home, where we hoped to find Morgan and the Spicers.
Once we arrived the front yard was covered with emergency vehicles, my mind spiraling to the worse possible scenario. We were already one man down; Flynn had gotten to Spicer. Kristin was in rough shape and Flynn had taken Ellie. Morgan had a pretty nasty head wound, but being the strong-headed man he was he just wanted to get back to work.
“Guys, I’m not going to any hospital until we find that little girl.” He directed himself to the EMT. “Now, please just put a bandage on it.”
“Morgan, what’s the notebook?” I motioned to the small book in front of him.
“I asked the sister to tell me everything she could remember about the unsub.”
“And what’s her condition?”
“It’s bad.”
“I’ll go check on her,” Emily offered. She left with the ambulance and hopefully we could get more information out of her.
Everyone knew Morgan wasn’t in perfect condition to continue working, but we also knew he wouldn’t allow us to make him rest. JJ and Reid arrived at the scene with satellite phones to allow communication to continue while the phone towers were down.
“Any word on Ellie?” JJ asked, clearly worried about the innocent little girl that had been brought into this tragedy. Morgan glared at her with such an intensity we all got uncomfortable. “I was just…”
“It’s not you,” I comforted, going out to follow Morgan, Hotch trailing behind.
Outside he called Garcia, asking for her to run the plates on the RV, treating her coldly. I knew he was desperate, but Penelope was worried, as were the rest of us. Something much worse could’ve happened to him; he could have ended up like Spicer.
“You know, she really needs to be more professional sometimes.” Derek turned.
“She gets the job done every time,” Hotch defended.
“I told him, Hotch.” His voice cracked. “I told him that we should wait for backup but he wouldn’t listen to me. We split up and he headed around back before I could stop him.”
“Morgan, sometimes when it comes to family common sense and procedure go out the window.”
“You do the best you can,” I comforted, laying a hand on his shoulders to let him know he wasn’t alone.
“This unsub raped the aunt and then beat her for no reason. She didn’t resist, guys. And he still pistol-whipped her until her ribs were crushed. He killed Spicer while he was on his knees. He was unarmed. This guy’s a pure psychopath. I want this guy.
“And we’ll get him.”
“Well, we better do it fast. Taking Ellie was like a game to him. The sick bastard thought it was funny. He’s gonna get pissed off at her, she’s nothing but a little girl. She’s gonna show him fear, and when she does… he’s gonna kill her.”
“Then, what are we doing standing around? Let’s go,” I tried my best to encourage.
We all quickly headed back to the precinct, needing to calculate what his net moves would be. He changed his methods suddenly; all patterns were out the window. Flynn wasn’t devolving he was becoming more calculate, we had to find the ends to his means. And Derek’s attitude wasn’t helping to ease the tension we were all feeling. Thankfully, Emily entered at the right moment. We couldn’t run the plates, possibly Kristin had gotten them wrong, but she remembered something crucial. The radio. Flynn listened to the radio following the sound of his name in the mouths of newscasters, and although this could help us, the LAPD had released everything we knew about the RV, about Ellie, and about him.
“That might force him to dump the RV,” my dad said.
“Or kill…” Spencer started but quickly stopped knowing this wouldn’t help appease the strained situation.
“No, I don’t think so.”
“Why not?”
“He could’ve killed you and the sister, but he didn’t. He kept you alive, he can’t be surprised that we know what he’s driving and that he has a hostage,” I explained, my father nodding his head in agreement.
We knew he listened to the radio but not which station, but an idea surfaced in JJ. We could try to work with the Emergency Alert System. Quickly, she got to work to be able to get out a message that we were sure would reach Flynn. On one side of the room, Emily and Morgan were talking about Kristin and what she had made him promise her. The safekeeping of Ellie. Kristin said it wasn’t fair of her to ask that, but Morgan wouldn’t break that promise.
As JJ worked the bureaucratic sinkhole that was the EAS, we got word that Flynn was currently in another house with Ellie. When we arrived at the scene, he was gone, but not for the lack of trying to from the neighbors. They had tried to stop him, but he had already taken that family’s car and was able to speed off. We needed to work even quicker than before, he was getting desperate.
Inside the RV he discarded, Ellie’s hair was found on the floor. Derek got enraged, but Spencer reassured him: “Why would you disguise someone you were going to kill?”
Looking for clues inside, Derek found a pipe and I found a newspaper. As they fixated on more clues from the underlined words on it: “bright, happy child,” Spencer pointed out, Derek thought back on what Flynn had said back at the Spicer house. Flynn was after Ellie all along.
One thing we were wrong on the profile, he was stuck in the delusion of believing he was some sort of grandparent to Ellie; she wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t let Matt survive. In a matter of seconds, the gears in the case started shifting at full speed. Once JJ got through to the Madame Secretary, Hotch assigned her to hostage negotiation through the system, trying to find a way to draw him out. On the other hand, Reid and I were looking over some newspapers that were stored in the RV, the murders we might have thought were his first might not have been. As soon as the lights came back on and the cell towers were up we were contacting Garcia to check the records on a murder investigation from 1968.
Garcia has always worked fast and well, this time it was no different.
“So, Nora Flynn was a prostitute and a drug addict living in a desert community just outside of Los Angeles. It appears bikers were her stock in trade, rough bikers. And one fateful day she and a client were murdered by her 13-year-old son Billy. Shot to death. The costumer, ironically named John, was able to tell the police before he died that Billy made him beg for his life and then shot him anyway.”
“That’s him,” Morgan commented.
“And he was convicted, but...”
“He’s a juvenile,” I said.
“Right. So at 18, he was released in 1973, never heard from again,” Penelope continued.
“Oh, he was heard from,” Emily spoke up.
“And he never released a statement as to why he killed them, although it does appear his childhood was horrific. I’m sending you a picture of him on the day he was released to your PDAs.”
“make sure you send the files to JJ,” Hotch instructed.
“Of course, my liege. Garcia bids you ad…”
She was cut off by Morgan, hopefully, so he could apologize for being so cold. “Garcia, wait a minute.”
He took the phone and left to a more private corner to talk to our tech genius. Also, Hotch had gone outside to help JJ with the tough job she had to do; I did not want to be in her shoes right now. We were all standing around in a circle listening to JJ, we could tell she was nervous and picking her words carefully. At first, it was a little rough, but as soon as she tapped into her motherly instincts it was going way smoother. Hopefully, it hit the nail on the head.
Then we received some unfortunate news, Kristin had passed away. The look of defeat on Derek’s face was painful, Ellie was alone now. But there was some hope – Flynn had let Ellie go. JJ had succeeded. We sped off to the house where Billy Flynn was hiding. Upon arrival we were met with the LAPD, they had a direct line to Flynn sent in and were waiting for contact. It rang as soon as we got there, he was watching us.
“He wants to talk to you,” Kurzbard extended the phone towards Derek.
“What?” His tone was pointed, laced with anger and desperation. “He wants me to come in.”
Morgan started walking towards the house after exchanging some words with Hotch. My heart was beating a million miles an hour and I held onto Emily to stabilize myself. We had no eyes or ears on the inside of the house, and anything could happen whilst we were outside and Derek inside.
A couple of minutes went by until ten shots rang through the house. My heart dropped and tears spilled from my eyes unconsciously. I was expecting for the worse as my hands flew to my gun, ready to enter the house, but Emily held me back as Derek calmly walked out of the house. Emily and Spencer accompanied officers to survey the scene and I stayed behind with my father and Hotch to make sure Derek was okay. My father hugged my shoulders as we watched the reunion between Ellie and Morgan, who thankfully came out of the house unscathed.
On the flight home, I couldn’t help but shed a few tears as the adrenaline from the case was wearing down. Next to me, Derek noticed my mood shift and sat closer to me.
“What’s up, baby girl? What’s got you like this?”
“I don’t know, it’s just back at the house we didn’t know anything and all we hard were the shots; I just thought the worst had happened. I’m just being dumb,” I chuckled, trying to downplay how I was feeling. He was the one who went through the traumatic experience, not me.
“Oh come on, you know it would take more than a couple of knocks and a crazy unsub to take me down. You’re gonna have to put up with me for a long time. All of us,” he motioned to the rest of the team. The ones who were still awake nodded and smiled.
But the team would suffer a huge loss before we knew it. This morning JJ, Strauss, and Hotch had been in Hotch’s office right before we were meant to be on the plane to Atlantic Beach. No one knew what they were meeting about, but it had to be serious.
We all left to the case with the underlying question of what the meeting was about. On the plane we stared at JJ until she confessed about the meeting; the Pentagon had offered her a job twice and Strauss wanted her to take it. As much as we wanted to pick her brain about it, there wasn’t too much news. She had a job offer she didn’t want and our boss wanted her to take it. We needed to focus on the case.
At the moment there were two men in custody, 20-year-old Sid and Jimmy. They were claiming they both had consensual sex with our 19-year-old victim Kate after she left a bar with them. Highly doubtful. The need to break them down psychologically became apparent when there were no plot holes found in their stories by the police. We had no body, two suspects, and a limited amount of time.
As soon as we landed, the team got busy with their assignments. JJ was to stay with the parents, Emily and Morgan were in interrogations, dad and Reid to the bar, and Hotch and I to review the interview videos to find any nonverbal clues to disrupt their story. As quickly as we could work so did Garcia. In minutes she gave us a big background into the kids, criminal troublemakers since their preteens.
We watched intently both interviews, Syd’s directly and Jimmy through recording. Syd was prepotent and standoffish since Derek walked in, not much perturbed him, Jimmy on the other hand had a tell.
“He never mentions her by name,” I said as we watched the interview Emily was carrying out with Jimmy.
“Why not?” Detective Mathias asked.
“He’s distancing himself,” Hotch added. “Depersonalizing the victim.”
“Look at the way he shifts his weight and cracks his neck. His behavior was consistent until Kate was mentioned,” I noted and Hotch nodded. Mathias seemed very interested in the way we analyzed every single movement.
Then, both asked for a polygraph test. As we waited to hear from the polygraph results we got to work on theories.
“So, what if they didn’t do it then we’re back to nothing?” Mathias doubted.
“One of them knows where Kate is,” I said nonchalantly.
“How can you be sure?”
“Because an innocent person doesn’t sit quietly for three days. They get angry and defensive.”
“These guys are going out of their way to appear calm and in control,” Derek added. “They’ve got something to hide.”
We knew they were stalling with the polygraphs, all we had to do is figure out what they knew about Kate’s whereabouts. Hotch then sent JJ back to dig into the parents a little, why would have Kate gone with these two boys if everyone else says she wouldn’t have? JJ adamantly turned and headed to the Pearson couple.
“Hotch, we can’t lose her,” I whispered.
“Strauss thinks we’re all replaceable. I went over her head to try to explain that we’re not.”
It wasn’t the answer we wanted, but it’s the one that we got. At the end of the day, we could be short a team member. And worse, our family would be separated.
But we had to continue working, they had passed the tests. We needed to continue the interviews. Something they were counting on. Dad went in to talk to Syd and Reid talked to Jimmy, the latter having a bit of a short fuse. We were going to continue on and on until they broke.
We had less than three hours until they were released. We needed everything we could get. As Derek pushed Syd, and Emily left Jimmy, Hotch got a call. I quickly picked at his cell and the screen read Strauss. So, I excused myself and left Emily to analyze the pictures that were on Syd’s phone of that night.
“She’s leaving, isn’t she?” I asked, reading Hotch’s defeated posture. He nodded. “There’s nothing you can do?”
“They’re not asking. It’s a direct order,” he rubbed his temples.
“So, she’s going to DC?” He nodded once more. I knew it was hard on him the most. He was the person we all looked onto to keep us united, but this really was out of his hands.
“I really wish there was more I could do,” he sighed. We shared a quick hug in the empty hallway, a way of reassuring him that he didn’t have to carry this news by himself. As we detached, he shared a small smile of relief, a small weight lifting off his shoulders.
“Well, come on. There’s no good in dwelling on it right now. Let’s catch these scumbags and bring back Kate.”
The interviews carried on. We couldn’t be distracted by the sad news. We were picking apart every breath, every movement, every word. Then, as she perused the pictures, JJ noticed in a Kate-less one her phone was present. But, Kate’s phone was in possession of her mother since it was recovered from Kate’s hotel room. The girl had made it back to the hotel.
We started forming our hypothesis. Most of the story they believed to be true because it actually was, they did take her back to the hotel, and they did leave. But Jimmy had felt rejected by Kate since she didn’t pay him much attention, and he had the perfect excuse to come back. So, when he left Syd back home, he went back with Kate’s phone. He lured her outside, possibly drugged her, and took her to his boat. Spencer pointed out that Jimmy was obsessed with the details of the port and Mathias added that at that time of night the blood from the catch would attract hundreds of sharks.
“We asked him if he killed her,” I sighed. “He didn’t. Asked where her body is.”
“He doesn’t know,” Emily added, following my train of thought.
“Technically those aren’t lies,” Spencer stated.
“How can you prove this?”
“We’ll get them to admit it,” Hotch answered Mathias.
Back into the interview room we were. We had our bait, and we were gonna reel in the answers.
After we pushed and got no concrete answers, we knew we had to search the ocean. I left with JJ ad Hotch to the port in hopes that she would be found. The Coast guard was 70 miles out and there was no sign of the young girl. We were getting worried.
“Kate’s an amazing swimmer. If he didn’t kill her when she hit the water, there’s still a chance,” JJ hoped.
“JJ, that’s three days in the ocean,” Hotch stated.
“I know,” she said in a defeated tone.
“This might be a long shot, but she would have been thrown near a dangerous area, which would mean there would be buoy markers. It could be possible that, if she was still alive when she hit the water, she swam all the way to a buoy, and since it’s been three days and hopefully, she has no major wounds, there’s a high probability she could’ve survived.” JJ looked up at me and gave me a small smile.
“Nice catch, (Y/N).” Hotch quickly punched in the number for the helicopter and told them to look closely at any buoys they saw around the area.
“I have a feeling about this one, JJ.” She hugged my shoulders. “We’re gonna find her.”
It wasn’t long until we got the news. Mathias came back to tell us they had found her hugging a buoy, alive. The three of us let out a breath of relief, and the unit chief and I stayed back as JJ went to tell the parents the good news. Although no words were exchanged, when we both looked at each other we knew this victorious feeling would be a short-lived one for the team.
Now that it was over JJ would be gone. When we got back, everyone else knew. JJ came out of the briefing room with a defeated look in her eyes, after a mad Hotch had stormed into his office. It didn’t take long for these brilliant minds to figure out the exchange.
“It’s done,” she sighed.
“It can’t be that simple,” Morgan protested.
“It is,” I said.
“You knew?”
“Figured it out back at the precinct,” I answered JJ. “Hotch got the call while Derek was interviewing Syd. It wasn’t too hard to map out.”
“This job is hard enough. What’re they trying to do, bury us?”
“She’s too good,” Emily said.
“She’s on everybody’s wish list,” dad added. “Our loss is somebody else’s gain.”
“They can’t just take you away,” Spencer said sadly. But they could, and they did.
It was a hard goodbye. She wasn’t truly gone but she wouldn’t be with us anymore. There wouldn’t be a need for a true grieving period, but the JJ-shaped hole that would fall upon the BAU team would be impossible to fill. Our family would not be fully complete until hopefully one day she came back.

And They Flew Anyway
Summary: It’s 1969 and Crowley and Aziraphale sit in a pub watching humans make their own history.
---------------------------
It was a raucous night in the London pub.
Indeed, Aziraphale had chosen this one specifically because of the excitement pouring out of it. He didn't have a television in his bookshop and if he was going to experience what was certainly a significant moment in Earth's history, he wanted some suitably celebratory surroundings. His search for the prefect venue (which consisted chiefly of picking a district of bars and restaurants and walking the streets with all his senses extended until he'd found the happiest, liveliest pub with a TV set) had resulted in a pub that would have been rather spacious if it wasn't packed to the brim with Sunday night patrons. A football match had apparently concluded not long before, and a sizable group of young people in the corner were drunk and rowdy in celebration of whatever team had won.
Football notwithstanding, there was a swarm of people crowding up towards the bar where the television was located. Aziraphale's eyes landed on the back of one head in particular, the haircut not so different from when he had last seen it in a Bentley in Soho two years prior. "Crowley, is that you?"
The demon turned, face spilt in an enormous smile. "ANGELLLL!" he crowed loud enough to be heard on the street outside, and Aziraphale winced, as though that in itself was enough to summon Gabriel. But Crowley was already bounding towards him, stumbling gracelessly around the people in his way and beaming like a bonfire. "Fancy runnin'in'ina you 'ere! Wonderful, marv'lous, just in time!"
Aziraphale couldn't help but smile back at the enthusiasm as Crowley clapped him excitedly on the shoulder. "And just how drunk are you, exactly?"
"Oh, unbelievably drunk," Crowley confirmed gleefully. "Hideously drunk. Only way to be, night like tonight! Least until the main event. Got your work cut out for you if you wanna catch me up. C'mon! C'mon, got good seats, right by the telly!" He flung an arm around the angel's shoulders and Aziraphale let himself be dragged over to the bar, not the least bit put out by this unexpected company.
The counter was packed full of people, but two barstools and a few cubic feet of space seemed to grow out of nowhere for them to sit comfortably. "Oi, Rico!" Crowley called over to the bartender. "One for my mate, same as me! Put it on mine!"
"Oh! Well thank you. What are you drinking?"
"I have *no* idea." The demon knocked back another mouthful of whatever was in his glass.
Aziraphale accepted the drink - some pinkish cocktail - from the bartender graciously and bit back a protest against 'my mate', figuring Crowley was drunk to the point that admonishment wouldn't stick. "So. Red letter day for downstairs?"
Crowley pulled a face and waved the notion off, swaying unsteadily on the stool. "Nahhhh. Nothin' t'do with it. Red letter day for...monkeys! Humans! Mad li'l tail-less monkeys, they are." He gestured at the television set where a pair of news anchors were discussing details. "They're tras'iting...tra'smit...they're sending the broadcast all the way from America. Got Cronkite and everything."
That was indeed true, Aziraphale saw. The conversation in the pub hadn't decreased a bit in volume, but he could tell that it was shifting more and more away from football and towards the news programme.
"Angel, d'you know how long I've been waiting for this? Six centuries. No wait..." The demon paused to count on his fingers. "- ty. Sixty centuries. Ever since Adam looked up at th' night sky and went 'wha's tha' thing, then?' I've been waiting for th' humans to get to see it up close." He raised his arms to encompass the ceiling, sloshing half his drink from the glass and nearly smacking the man next to him in the face. "She put all that beautiful, magnificent stuff waaaay up 'n the sky, way up where they could never touch, and stuck 'em down on th' ground. Gave 'em feet 'n legs 'n stuck 'em down in the mud and said 'here, you can look at it I guess but tha's it'. And humans, they looked up at the stars and said 'that's bollocks, d'You know how bollocks that is?' and got to work mapping th' sky 'n figuring out rotations and then! And then!" He grabbed the angel's shoulder hard enough to bruise. "They built a set of wings out of a metal capsule and a bunch of maths and wires and they called it Eagle! I mean, mostly I think it's the Americans being ostentatious but come on! Eagle! And they said 'nuts to Your limitations' and they went and flew anyway!"
His eyes were shining, and Aziraphale thought he had never seen Crowley so proud. "They do have incredible ingenuity."
"Blessed right, they do! W'as the time?"
"Nearly eight, I think."
"Blimey, it's soon. Hang on, I wanna 'ppreciate this." The demon ducked his head, hands gripping the counter. He let out a pained grunt and an obscenely undignified belch as he forced the alcohol from his system, and Aziraphale rolled his eyes just a little. Crowley scrunched up his face in disgust and washed down the taste of suddenly-not-drunk with another sip of the cocktail.
"They made this leap so quickly," Aziraphale observed as the anchormen began to look more flustered. "It's only been, what 70 years or so since they started toying with motorised flight?"
"Tenacious, this lot." Crowley side-eyed him. "You didn't have anything to do with this, did you?"
"No," Aziraphale answered truthfully. "In fact I was specifically told to leave the research alone."
"Same."
The whole pub was focusing on the television now as radio broadcasts came in. Radio signals from space - Aziraphale could hardly believe it. If someone had told him a hundred years ago that humans would get to this point so quickly he'd have laughed in their face.
"I was at the launch, you know." Quiet awe coloured Crowley's voice as he watched the screen. "Hopped a flight to Cape Kennedy earlier this week. Oh, it was brilliant, angel; you should've seen it."
The broadcast switched away from the anchors to an indoor studio somewhere. A model lander was being lowered slowly, awkwardly onto a model set, with the caption "CBS News Simulation" beneath it. But with the accompanying radio transmissions, it didn't take too much human imagination to make the visuals match the audio.
The murmuring of the patrons around them died slowly with each minute that passed until the entire room was silent, watching the screen. Even the drunkest of the football fans recognized the weight of what was happening.
"Four forward," crackled the radio signal. "Four forward, drifting to the right a little. Okay, down a half."
Aziraphale risked a glance beside him. Crowley was wholly focused on the television set, stock still and not breathing. In fact, the angel would have bet money that he hadn't remembered to breathe in several minutes. His glasses had slipped a bit down his nose so he could see the broadcast unhindered, and his yellow eyes were wide, waiting, desperate: hope and joy and fear raging behind them in a maelstrom.
"Contact light. Okay, engine stop. ACA out of detent. Mode control, both auto. Descent engine command override off. Engine arm off. 413 is in."
"Man on the moon," one of the news anchors breathed, but the pub held its collective breath. It had to be official. If anything went wrong at the last second...
There was were a few moments of radio static.
"We copy you down, Eagle."
"Houston... Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
"Roger, Tranquility. We copy you on the ground-"
The pub exploded, drowning out the rest of the broadcast. Crowley was on his feet, whooping and hollering with the loudest of them. Aziraphale applauded enthusiastically and clacked his glass against the beer of the gentleman beside him. "Well done, humanity! Well done indeed!"
Crowley was jumping up and down and screaming himself hoarse, hugging whatever stranger happened to get close to him and being hugged by other random strangers in return. One of the drunker football girls kissed him full on the mouth and he didn't seem to care in the least, going right back to his screaming as she moved on to kiss the bloke beside him.
Aziraphale couldn't help but bask for a moment in the happiness radiating from the humans around him. It wasn't hard to find excited people if you knew where to look, but it was rare that one found so many people all deliriously excited about the same thing. He could feel a sizable portion of Europe celebrating tonight.
Crowley grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him enthusiastically, breaking him out of his reverie. Aziraphale thought he glimpsed tears glinting from the corners of the sunglasses. "They did it! Angel, they did it!"
"I can see that! It's very hard to miss."
"Sixty centuries and they made it! Take that, You great cosmic killjoy!" This last was hollered at the ceiling but Aziraphale couldn't bring himself to be cross about it, not with so much happiness humming through the air. "Rico! New round for me and him! Ah Heaven, round for the bar!"
"You're cut off, mate!" the bartender yelled back. But a snap wiped his expression clean as that particular thought was miracled out of his head.
"I," Crowley asserted, downing the rest of his cocktail, "am fresh and ready to go. This party's just getting started. Gonna join me, angel? Betcha the news coverage'll go on for ages."
Aziraphale took the offered refill, already tipsy off the joy coming from both the humans and Crowley. "Oh, why not?"
