thinkin' about some MG Graphic Novel ideas I have,, and about these two girlies that become unlikely friends in one of the story ideas I have :) (not a historical graphic novel, but more fantasy/historical inspired as it takes place in a fantasy/magical world that is loosely based on ours but y'know, has literal magic)
Probably upper MG/Young YA? If I had to choose an age group that this story was aimed for :)
Basically the premise is: The blonde girl (name pending) travels to a magical Eastern/Chinese-inspired country with her rich (Evil) father, and befriends the daughter (also name pending lol) of said country's emperor. Shenanigans ensue :) Also... young love??

If enforcing gender norms requires a constant state of surveillance and censorship then they probably aren't as biological or innate as you think they are

You’ve heard of the Homeric wrath; be ready for the Homeric cold. It’s a cold of epic proportions, that drags in time and some petty god probably had a hand in causing it.

I guess... I am slowly finding my way back into fandom again. I had covid and it took me months to fully recover. I was a glimpse away from burnout after having to take over my boss' responsibility after he quit--on top of my normal job. Now, I quit my job--leaving for another; and since I did, I slowly begin to realize, how bad I fared the past 10 months. Nothing gave me joy, really, and all I wanted to do was sleep, and sleep, and sleep.

1. I have two tortoises! Their names are Túrin and Niënor. They are siblings from the same clutch of eggs and are extremely silly. Here they are stacked on top of each other
2. Today, my coworker said that she couldn’t make an enemy of me because I could probably banish her to the shadow realm
3. I have synesthesia
Unfortunately I will probably not be able to pass this on, I’m very bad at that kind of thing

Drove 10 hours today (five there, five back) so that I could see the Northern Lights in the Rocky Mountains for the first time ever and even tho I'm pretty sure I'll never feel my butt or driving foot again, I'd say it was well worth if. (Ft Dino statue enjoying the view and some highway driving meteors)

Even though I shouldn't be, I'm plotting out a Pacific Rim fanfic and something about Gottlieb's math on the frequency of the attacks bugged the fuck out of me. I just spent way too much time creating a more accurate timeline of every single kaiju attack. Also, nothing in the math indicates a double event, so I'm gonna have to figure out a valid reason for it to occur or it's gonna bug the ever loving fuck out of me.
Is my math perfect? No. Is it better than the movie's math? Yes. Sorry, Hermann.
All of this because I wanted werewolves and a Werewolf Jaeger in PR wtffff

I am Ireland:
I am older than the Hag of Beara.
Great my glory:
I who bore brave Cú Chulainn.
Great my shame:
My own children that sold their mother.
Great my pain:
My irreconcilable enemies who harass me continually.
Great my sorrow:
That crowd, in whom I placed my trust, died.
I am Ireland:
I am lonelier than the Hag of Beara.
