I think I have to go with either green (like when you're in a forest and just surrounded by all of the signs of life; trees and ferns, and all other sorts of plants. And you just feel the infinite. Like these trees existed long before me and will exist long after and it's such a privilege to be touching something so much wiser than me. And just the life force of nature, the way that green trees and moss just set something right in your soul; they let you breathe a little deeper and fill up with the desire to live more in the present moment; present to your own body, your own needs and desires, and present to the world around you. I'm in love with the green that your fingers can brush over and your toes can curl into; the green that leaves you tingling with it's energy and makes you feel so fully and wonderfully alive.)

Or purple (like when the sky is switching over from sunset into night, and the purple is so deep and rich that you forget for an instant that gravity exists, and you wonder if it could just tug you into it's warm, eternal embrace. Purple so deep that it reminds you of how blessedly small you are, and that there is something so much greater than ourselves and it (he/she/they) desire our good and all we have to do is exist and receive that infinite love. Purple that reminds you that the universe exists not only outside of you, but inside as well.)

Or like a sort of peachy-pink (like when you're watching a sunrise over the ocean and the sky and the water are both lit with radiant light. Light that you can feel in the tips of your fingers and toes, in the roots of your heart, and radiating from the very core of your being. And you can hardly breathe with all of the joy bursting inside of you, calling you to embrace the world around you. Calling you to remember that each day is new and we get the gift of being able to touch other people's lives; to heal, to love, to bring joy and comfort. The warm, vibrant pink that reminds you that you are good, and worthy, and that your existence can remind everyone around you that they are good, and worthy, and loved just as they are too.)

I just finished rereading Red, White & Royal Blue for the third or fourth time, but it was the first one in a while. And I love this book so so so goddamn much. And even though I live in Canada, now more than maybe ever I really really desperately wish that we lived in a world where the US elected a woman with a bisexual son as president. For her second term.

the smell of storms/rain. uk wet soil, leaves..that smell (the general feel of storms is great, as long as you're out of harm's way ofc)

Currently reading: 18 Tiny Deaths by Bruce Goldfarb, which is a biography of Frances Glessner Lee, a socialite from Chicago who ended up a pioneer in the new field of forensic science. She is probably best known for creating the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, teeny super-detailed little dollhouse dioramas of real murder scenes used for testing forensics students.

By reading, I mostly mean staring wistfully at the book on my bedside table, but it's right up my alley and really good. Fic-wise, I'm between works at the moment, but I'm about to start The Greatest Game by @sleepstxtic, and after that I have my eye on a few from Reverse Big Bang.

Last song: I hardly listen to 'adult' music, because my house is always so full of noise that when the kids aren't around I really need silence. So it's probably some kids' shite like Frozen.

Last series: Slowly working my way through The Boys, and before that it was Better Call Saul, which I thought was an absolute masterpiece.

Last movie: Oh god, same as songs! I don't have the concentration span for films! Last thing I saw at the cinema was Top Gun: Maverick which was as pleasingly homoerotic as the original and has provided me and @sitp-recs with lots of hilarity😂

Currently working on: just dabbling, trying to claw my way out of writers' block by adding little paragraphs here and there to my Sudsfest, and also something random I might submit to next year's mpreg fest 🤷
