fun bone fact!! bones are actually physically continuous with muscle and tendon. you are connected from your skin to your muscle to your tendon to your bone. bone is highly vascularized, innervated, and categorized anatomically as connective tissue, which means it is in the same bucket as blood and lymphatic fluid. bone is very much alive and growing and healing, the only difference is it sticks around after the rest of you decays away. anyway!!! what I mean by this is that, anatomically speaking, there's very little that is practically, physically separating Harrow as a bone adept from the flesh magicians she despises. to spring a bone up, Harrow has to be able to tap into thalergy just as much as a flesh magician growing a muscle. like yes of course they are difference facets of the body, but they're deeply intertwined with MUCH less differences than people realize. anyway this just means Harrow's derision of what she sees as the softer subjects is picky and petty and personal instead of actually grounded in fact, which is SO true of academia. 10/10 no notes.

the background characters in tfatws when there’s a fight going down:
Sam & Dean: *researching*
Dean: You’re not enjoying this, are you?
Sam: I like a good research session. I find it meditative.
Dean: Is it really that hard for you to be normal just one time?
I made this as a joke once
Snorkmaiden: Tell me, do you write everything down in that little notebook?
Snork: Only if it's important.
Snorkmaiden: How do you know if it's important?
Snork: Well, I'll just sort of put everything in as we go, and then down the line when we know what's important, we'll know that it's already in the notebook.
Snorkmaiden: So you DO write everything down?
Snork: Yep, everything.
Snorkmaiden: That's what I thought.
