Christmas is right around the corner.

First Christmas with your seven month old son, Noah. First Christmas as a family of three.

Drew and you finally have a month off from filming to be with family. The both of you have had busy schedules these past few months with filming and to get this break is wonderful.

Noah, your eight-month-old, will shortly say his first word. There have been times when he almost uttered something but ended up babbling baby gibberish.

mama or dada

One of the two words Drew and you are aiming for.

Yes, you and Drew have been teaching Noah simple words that he can readily speak. You two are constantly talking to him and reading to him in the hopes that he would say one of the words.

Every parent wants their child’s first words to be mama or dada.

The three of you were in the living room on the couch with the tv playing a Christmas movie. The Christmas tree was a couple feet away from the tv, making the moment feel more magical.

Noah was lying on his stomach on Drew’s chest— arms folding in front of him, holding himself up to look at Drew who was talking to him and making faces.

The father and son duo with these two is the most beautiful thing ever to witness. Their bond continues to grow by the second. Now Drew and you are back on filming for Outer Banks, it’s hard being away from Noah.

"Oh really and what else?" Drew inquired, and Noah responded dramatically in his baby language.

Noah stares between you two, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open, before becoming even louder.

In the mix of Noah talking in his baby gibberish, he says the word dada, catching Drew and you off guard immediately.

Your hand slaps over your mouth with shock. Tears form in your eyes. As a parent hearing your child’s first words is one of the greatest moments.

You immediately take your phone out to record this unforgettable moment.

Drew looks at you, shocked, emotional, and a smile beginning to grow on his face.

“Can you repeat that again?” Drew whispers to the eight month old, hoping he repeats the word you two just heard.

The sounds of your little sniffles can be heard from behind your phone.

Noah turns his head to the side, blinking a few times, trying to figure out what his father told him then opens his mouth to speak.

Noah moves his upper body around “dada dada” he blurts out, putting his small hands into a fist, punching Drew’s chest.

“Ahaha yes!” Drew cheer, wrapping both arms around Noah as he slides to the left landing on a soft pillow.

Noah let out a couple giggles, leaning his head on Drew’s chin as they swayed side to side. Drew gave him kisses all over his face as he shed a few tears.

Drew had the most biggest smile on his face. Hearing the words dada come out of his first borns mouth really does something because he’s always going to remember Noah’s first words.

“This is one of the best Christmas present I’ve ever received and Christmas is only in two weeks” Drew blurts out, whipping away the tears.

Type of request: funny/comedy, wholesome, platonic.

Plot: so this happen if reader was the only one sibling attending school.

Reader come home with a basket full of different types of chocolate (probably 15 piece?), at first the siblings thought that reader would give them chocolate because it was meant for them or she would give chocolate to somebody, turned out they were "given " to her... By " boys ".

That when their brother instincts kick in, their little, innocent - probably naive - sister is getting chocolate... From multiple boys... On Valentine's day... That cannot be good for their hearts.

- So, one day when Leo, Mikey, Donnie, and Raph were walking around at night when they came across a mystic cloaking broach

- They collectively decided that their little sister, Y/N should use it to go to school

- They just wanted a better life for their only sister (aww, they’re very loving brothers!)

- Eventually, Y/N started to go to school, wearing her cloaking broach to look human. It was definately a new experience for her, but her brothers helped her with the huge adjustment!

- She was placed in the fifth grade (as she is 11 years old)

- The school year was going pretty well for her (she even made a friend!)

- However, one very specific day in February came rolling around, and Y/N had school that day

- It was Valentines Day!

- Y/N didn’t really get Valentine’s Day, or didn’t really understand it, because she randomly got a bunch of chocolates from a few people in her class

- At the end of the day, she came home with her lunch box full of chocolates she didn’t eat yet

- So at around 3:30, she made it back home, took off her cloaking broach, and opened her lunchbox, and inside was a ton of chocolates!

- She dumped all of it on the kitchen counter, with Leo and Mikey nearby, and they heard her dump the chocolates on the counter.

- “Aw, did little sis get us all chocolates?” Leo asked, smiling and jumping towards the counter with stars in his eyes

- Raph and Donnie soon entered the room and then plus Mikey also made their way to the counter, asking about the chocolate

- “You can have some, but they’re my chocolates too!” Y/N said

- She opened one of the heart shaped boxes and stuffed a piece of chocolate with [f/f] inside

- “Where’d ya get them?” Mikey asked, taking some chocolate

- “Some of the kids in my class gave ‘em to me!” Y/N responded

- “Aw, well that was nice of them!” Raph said, eating some strawberry flavor filled chocolate.

- Donnie looked at the boxes, and after a moment, he was able to remeber that today was Valentine’s Day

- He looked worried for a second (he hoped though that his theory was wrong, that no boy in her class gave her these chocolates)

- Meanwhile his brothers and sister ate the chocolates happily

- “Say, who gave you these chocolates, my dear sister? Some of your girl friends?” Donnie asked

- Y/N looked at him for a moment and swallowed her chocolate “yeah, my best friend gave me a small one that I ate during lunch” she started

- “But Landon gave me this one” she held up a small square box with plain chocolates.

- “Gabriel gave me this one, I like that it’s my favorite color” she held up a slightly bigger box with flavored chocolates.

- “And Noah gave me this one, I like that it has Pokémon on it!” She held up the biggest heart-shaped box of chocolates she received, with mixed chocolates inside.

- “But the rest I found in my cubby so I don’t know who gave ‘em to me” Y/N smiled, eating more chocolate.

- Meanwhile her brothers…

- They all spat out their chocolate *immediately*

- “Who?!” Raph asked, taking her by the shoulders.

- “Who are those guys?!” Leo shouted, wiping some chocolate that he spit out off his face.

- Meanwhile Mikey was just screaming his head off

- And Donnie just leaned against the counter, shaking his head

- “Do… do you know if any of these boys like you, Y/N?” Raph asked, letting off a bit of an angry and anxiety stench

- The other three brothers also were staring at her, impatiently waiting her response

Schloss Einstein Staffel 26 Rewatch pt. II

Folge 1028, 1029 & 1030

Auch wenn ich letztes Jahr für die ersten zwei Folgen etwas zögerlich war, was Fahrrad-Ava und Fenchelsaft-Joel angeht, gehören die beiden offensichtlich jetzt zu meinen absoluten Lieblingen und sind von ihrer ersten Szene an iconic. Naja, Ava vielleicht ab nächster Folge, wenn sie nicht mehr nur mit Fahrrädern spricht. Obwohl ich Fahrräder menschlichem Kontakt vielleicht auch vorziehen würde.

"Wo will er denn schon wieder hin? Er ist nie da." - "Ja, vielleicht solltest du dir ein Beispiel an ihm nehmen." Meine Lieblingstrope bei Schloss Einstein ist übrigens forced proximity, allerdings nicht auf die romantische Art. Mitbewohner*innen, die sich eigentlich nicht so wirklich leiden können, die aber die witzigste Dynamik zusammen haben und am Ende irgendwie ungewollt zu ride-or-die Freunden werden? Peak Schloss Einstein experience für mich. I'm talking Phillip, Bruno und Elias oder Hubertus, Dominik und Nils/David. Und jetzt eben auch Joel, Colin und Noah my loves <3

Joyces imaginärer Kleinkrieg mit Noah killt mich jedes Mal. She is out there training and plotting her revenge, meanwhile hat Noah in seiner Freizeit keinen einzigen Gedanken mehr an Joyce verschwendet. (Mich würd's nichtmal wundern, wenn Noah zu dem Zeitpunkt ihren Namen gar nicht kennt lmao)

Colin mit seiner Herzchenbrille als foreshadowing, dass er sich in der Staffel verlieben wird gehört auch wieder zu meinen Lieblingsdetails :') mit 'nem happy end wäre's aber noch besser @ kika

It's so funny when some fans can literally point out how Will loves and appreciates Mike for who he is unconditionally as a form of byler endgame proof (and anti mlvn proof). Yet when it comes to their own fanon interpretations of his character, suddenly Will is perpetually annoyed with Mike for no reason.

Fanon Mike is chacterized as an annoying loser who, by the grace of god, was allowed to have friends who tolerate him, but not without letting him know he's annoying. And Will? He's the Chief Ambassador of the Neutralizing Mike Comittee (The NMC™) who forever has to remind Mike that had he not said yes to being his friend on the goddam swingset almost 10 years ago, he would be nothing but a frogfaced nerd who has an enternal home in Loserdom.

It's not like Mike being his best friend means anything to him. It's not like Will wasn't brought to literal tears after essentially telling Mike how he's made personal, irreplaceable impact on his life, and how he would always have a place in his heart (as well as his other friends and family). Mind you, Will said all of that immediately after Mike expressed his own self-doubt and inferiority.

Some fans took Mike's nightmare fuel (personal insecurities) and decided it would make great wholesome byler content. Feels bad man... I wish they would let Will love Mike unconditionally like he does in canon.

(P.S. I went on a huge rant about Will's response to the rink o mania/rain scenes , but I didn't know how to get my point across in relation to this without going off the deep end lmfao)

my answer is very very long, so i'll put it under the cut:

i firmly believe a lot of fanon mike's characteristics are a reflection of the fandom's own anger towards him, starting from s3 onwards. for example — the concept of mike being overly clingy or having nerdy geeking out moments, and then will being annoyed by it? like i'm so sorry, people are not going to like what i say, but the opposite of that dynamic is what is literally canon in the show. in s3 will is attached to his childhood (and by extension his friends + mike) and tries to get all of them to play d&d, and then lucas and mike both scorn him. mike basically tells will to grow up.

now, am i saying that this is the dynamic i want to see portrayed in fics? no, of course not. in fact, the show itself makes it very clear that mike was in the wrong for treating will like that. and the audience was mad at mike. which is why i believe a lot of bylers write a role reversal of this, as some sort of comeuppance mike gets for s3 where he wasn't a good friend to will.

and as for mike being treated like he's the loserest loser in loserland, again, i think it just has a lot to do with people's anger towards him in s3 and s4, whether it's conscious or subconscious. when vol 2 came out everyone and their moms wanted to set fire to mike. people made soooo many jokes about will getting with another guy. all of this anger is also why people constantly peddle the "will is too good for mike" rhetoric as well.

the actors' appearances also come into play here. noah is broader and more toned than finn. that's also why buff byers became a thing, though noah's not really buff, he's just fit. buff byers also came from the idea that mike should be fucking groveling at will's feet, as repented for the way he treated will in s3-s4. like, "hey look! will is super strong and he's a chick/guy magnet and he could literally have any boy in the world!" and so they try to make this sort of disparity between both boys and put will on a pedestal compared to mike so that mike can do nothing but be his personal fanboy who should be grateful will even dared to look upon him.

i think that the van scene also added to people's anger towards mike. ranging from mike not noticing will crying (allegedly), to mike not realizing/accepting will's veiled love confession (allegedly). which is again, why we get more fan content of will not reciprocating mike's romantic affection. or people declaring that mike doesn't deserve will's love. it's just another role reversal.

which is so funny because like you said, will's love is unconditional. he openly admits to feeling lost without mike, but people like to pretend will was a happy little clown in california where everyone wanted a piece of him. and he admits that being mean or pushing mike away is NOT WHO HE IS NORMALLY. like seriously this is literally in the fucking show!!!

my answer is just mostly about byler but again just to note that all of mike's friends love him. they fight him or tease him but that's because they care. they find him annoying in the same way he would also find them annoying. because friends will annoy each other. but they still look up to him. in fact, all of them have had moments where one of their issues was literally the fact that they wanted mike's attention in one way or another.

mike IS a loser. but he's a loser in the sense that all of the party are losers. not in the way fanon portrays, where the party are somehow infinitely cooler than mike, who is written as a bottom of the barrel leech. (and also just to add here — people love over-exaggerating the idea of mike being "ugly" in canon, just so they can pair it with will "could attract literal gods" byers.)

and also, last one — mike is the heart of the party. there's no other way around it. he is their leader, and "without heart, we'd all fall apart" is literally THE most applicable thing to mike. when mike didn't act true to himself, not like the leader he normally is, that's when everything began falling apart. which is why i'm so hyped for s5, where we hopefully get to see mike come back to himself and truly lead the party as their paladin.

The Wasted Potential of Tyler

"Alright campers! It's time to talk about Total....Drama...."

I've been hooked on Total Drama ever since it first premiered here in the United States on Cartoon Network, and it ended up becoming one of my favorite shows growing up.

I'd remember always looking out for the new seasons and I watched pretty much every season during its original broadcast here in America.

Even the seasons I would come to hate!

But out of the three generations of contestants, the most iconic is (of course) the first generation that stuck with us for the first three seasons and All-Star.

Part of that was because they were the most developed of the three generations (in addition to the aforementioned being the one that was the most seen).

Not to mention they possess some of the franchise's most popular and beloved characters.

The second generation (with the exception of Staci), while good, didn't quite reach the heights of the first one.

And with the exception of Shawn and Jasmine, literally no one gives a shit about the third generation.

But the character I want to focus on today is the clumsy jock himself, Tyler!

Although he was introduced in Total Drama Island, he was among the portion of the OG cast who didn't leave much of an impression on the audience (at first).

This was because he was only around for 7 episodes, and only spoke in about 4 of them.

After Island, he didn't return for the second season Total Drama Action.

He only appeared as a guest on the aftermath specials, where he didn't talk at all.

However, he would eventually make his grand return to the Total Drama game for the third season, Total Drama World Tour.

This was where Tyler started to come into his own as a character.

He was very funny and had a decent chunk of comedic lines, mainly stemming for his somewhat dimwitted nature.

But his best comedy came from the physical pain he often found himself in.

Funnily enough, this constant stream of pain was actually an expansion of his character.

Although he didn't have a whole lot going for him in the first season, one of the few defining characteristics Tyler had was his clumsy nature.

Although not shown to often due to his minor role, there were a few moments in Island that highlighted his clumsy nature.

In Dodgebrawl, he constantly kept missing the Screaming Gophers when throwing the balls.

In Not Quite Famous, he accidentally tied himself up with his yo-yo trick.

Hell, this is even shown when he first appears in the very first episode!

When we're first introduced to Tyler, we see him water skiing from the back of a yacht, somehow trips on the water, starts barreling across the water, hits the dock and is sent flying right into a pile of luggage

In World Tour, he's a full-on pain magnet.

From falling down a pyramid, to jumping out of piranha-infested waters, to getting shocked by electric eel.

Tyler pretty much got hurt in nearly every episode he was around in World Tour.

But it wasn't just his comedy that made him enduring.

Tyler was also depicted as good-hearted, patient and surprisingly loyal.

This was especially shown with his relationship with Lindsay, which holds the title of being one of the most wholesome romances in the entire series.

That fact that Tyler stayed loyal to Lindsay despite her forgetting who he was for about a year is nothing short of impressive.

Plus, he was the only one to call out Duncan's infidelity rather than blaming Gwen like damn near everyone else, which automatically makes him Best Boy.

However, there is one thing to note about Tyler in World Tour. He made it a bit further than he initially did in Island, making at least TWO episodes before the merge.

Because of this, Tyler has not only gone down as a fan-favorite, but also one of the most wasted characters in the show's history.

He's one of five of the original contestants that never made it to the teams merging, along with Noah, Katie and Sadie, and of course, Ezekiel.

Not to mention he never made it far into the game despite other underdog-like characters such as Beth, Harold and Cody making it to at least the final five.

And despite the potential he had for the last season he would compete in, it ended up getting thrown away in order to obviously make room for a fan-favorite (aka Duncan)

So today I wanted to take the time to discuss how I think Tyler could've been better implement in the Total Drama series overall.

Total Drama Island:

Season 1 is pretty interesting, since it's blankest canvas on what to do with Tyler.

Since they're 22 contestants and lot of them fade into the background due to their limited screentime, the doors are wide open for what Tyler could do.

While he wouldn't play a super big role in this season, he would have a little more to do.

Tyler would be sticking around a little longer than he did originally, but he would still get eliminated before the merge.

Since he would be around a little longer, some things I want to see from him would be more interactions with Lindsay and even standing-up for Harold, the latter serving as build-up to something that would be explored a little later.

In terms of elimination order, Tyler is a pretty easy fix. Just have his original elimination order taken by Sadie.

Sadie was just a filler character who faded into the background due to her limited amount of dialogue.

The same applies for Katie as well.

Not to mention that both of them would only be reduced to minor characters after this season and never compete again.

But in a Uno-Reverse fashion, Tyler would be taking Sadie's original elimination order, which would make sense give that the challenge is focused on trust, and his clumsy and overconfident nature would put him at a major disadvantage.

So yeah....that's about it for Tyler for Total Drama Island.

I don't really have anything on how he could be implemented into Total Drama Action, but luckily, I do have notes for he could implemented in.....

Total Drama World Tour:

This was the season where Tyler's potential started to be tapped.

One thing to note for this rewrite is that the teams will be a little different....

Team Victory: Ezekiel, DJ, Katie and Sadie, Leshawna, Lindsay, Bridgette and Trent.

Team Amazon: Heather, Gwen, Courtney, Sierra and Cody.

Team Chris is Really, Really, Really, Really Hot: Owen, Alejandro, Duncan, Noah, Izzy, Tyler and Harold.

Yep! Harold is on Team Chris now! That's because he and Tyler will actually be forming a pretty close friendship this season, similar to what Owen and Noah did.

I've always felt like these two really had the potential for a genuinely engaging friendship.

Hell, this was even shown in the original World Tour, when they were geeking out over Japanese game shows.

This would also led to Alejandro forming an alliance with Tyler and Harold, as he would see them as useful allies in some way.

Tyler for his loyalty and athleticism, and Harold for his loyalty, mad skills and vast knowledge of various topics.

(Plus the fact that he made it to the final five last season doesn't hurt either).

The alliance itself would actually be quite reminiscent of the one between Heather, Lindsay and Beth from Season 1.

Even Heather herself would point this out and be undoubtedly pissed about it.

As for why I decided to put Katie and Sadie and Trent in this season.

For the first two, just to fill out that team a bit more.

As for Trent, why wasn't he?

He's the most musically-gifted of the main cast, and despite this season being heavily focused on musical numbers, he didn't compete at all.

Hell, he only sings once in the entire season.....

And that was only for backup vocals!

As for the elimination order for this season.

Ezekiel and Duncan (until he returns) would still be the ones to be eliminated first in Walk Like an Egyptian.

DJ would be the one to go home instead of Harold in Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan.

His reason for elimination would the Animal Curse....well sort of.

Throughout the episode, DJ would find himself either getting attack by or accidentally hurting animals.

And aftering hearing about him accidentally destroying the mummified dog back in Egypt, Alejandro decides to make up the tale of the Animal Curse, knowing that it would throw DJ off his game.

In the end, Team Victory decided to send DJ home, feeling like it was the best for him.

And despite how short his stay on my World Tour was, at least it was a more dignified way to go when compared to the original World Tour.

Sadie would be the one to go in Anything Yukon Do, I Can Do Better, having suffered the exact same faith Bridgette did.

The next eliminations are pretty much the same as they were in the original World Tour (that being Leshawna and Lindsay).

In Jamaica Me Sweat, Katie would the one to go home.

Her reason for going home: Sadie.

Essentially, after Sadie was eliminated, as you expect, Katie didn't take it particularly well....

But thanks to the encouragement of her teammates, she was able to get over it and even became a bit of a team leader in her own right.

I thought it would be a little interesting to see one of the duo function without the other.

Since remember, in this version of Total Drama, they pretty much get eliminated back-to-back!

But since Alejandro saw her as a possible opponent, he threw Katie off her game by constantly reminding her of Sadie.

And eventually, she breaks down.

So yeah, in this version, Team Victory is still around after the Jamaica episode, with Bridgette and Trent being the last two standing.

I've always thought that the three team element was really interesting, but was heavily wasted in the original World Tour.

I mean for God's sake, one of the teams didn't even make it at least halfway through the season!

(Also by the way, Izzy doesn't go home in this episode).

The next two episodes are pretty much the same in terms of elimination, with Noah getting booted off in I See London....., and no one’s going home in Greece's Pieces.

Finally we come to The EX-Files, the episode that Tyler was eliminated in.

Taking his place instead would be Izzy since, let's be real, it would make sense for her to be eliminated in this episode.

In Picnic at Hanging Dork, there would be a double elimination.

And the ones going home would be Gwen and Trent.

Team Amazon still lose the same way they did the original season.

But as for why Trent got booted as well.....

Through this season, there would be awkward tension between Gwen and Trent, given everything that happened between them during Action.

And it unfortunately didn't get much better after Tyler spills the beans on Duncan and Gwen kissing.

Trent practically shut down after hearing that his worst fear pretty much came true.

And because of this, Bridgette had to do most of the heavy lifting to ensure they didn't lose.

But in the end, Chris decides to boot Trent off....

Not because he shut down. Oh no! Chris couldn't care less about that and would've gladly kept him in the game just to see Bridgette struggle.

Because he's a sadist.

He decided to boot Trent off because he knew about the awkward tension between him and Gwen, and just wanted him to go with Gwen just to rub salt in the wound that was her elimination and eucalyptus allergies.

Once again, because he's a sadist.

Next is Sweden Sour, and unlike the original, someone actually does go home.

And that person is unfortunately Harold.

The reason why....

Ever since Greece's Pieces, Duncan has been bullying Tyler because of him knowing about the kiss.

And it only got even worse when he eventually spilled the beans.

Harold, being Tyler's close friend, is not particularly keen on seeing this.

He already had to endure a season and a half of Duncan’s bullying, the last thing he wants is Duncan bullying someone else close to him.

This would eventually lead to Harold unleashing a can of whoop-ass on Duncan after taking the bullying too far, similar to what Leshawna did to Heather back in Germany.

As a result of this, Harold is booted off. But luckily, he does get the last laugh in the end.

Finally, we come to Niagara Brawls….

Our boy Tyler has made it to the merge! Along with Bridgette!

As for the pairings for the challenge, they’re more or less the same with two exceptions though.

Since Tyler and Bridgette are still around, they would be paired up for the challenge.

I could honestly see there being a running gag of them being somewhat uncomfortable with this, mainly because they fear their respective significant others would get jealous about this.

And other exception would be Owen and Noah.

Yep! The sassy king himself would be the one to return to game rather than Blainley!

Yeah I'm pretty much going off Schaffrillas' World Tour headcanon from his Noah video since let's be real, Noah coming back to the game would make much more sense than having a character who wasn't all that engaging to begin with and only made four appearances prior coming on, only to get booted off just the episode after her seasonal debut.

But just like in the original World Tour, Owen's the one to go home.

For the next two episodes, there'll be a double elimination.

For Chinese Fake-Out, Courtney and Bridgette are the ones to get the boot.

Bridgette because she was the first one out for the eating challenge, due to her vegetarian ways.

As for African Lying Safari, it'll be Duncan and Noah.

Noah because he's not the most physically capable around, which put him at a major disadvantage for the challenge.

Finally we come Rapa Phooey, and sadly, this would be the episode where Tyler gets eliminated.

The reason: He would be badly injured by the giant condor mom. Not to mention he tried and failed the most times out of the other contestants to return the eggs.

So yeah, that was Tyler's tenure on Total Drama. Although he didn't really do too much in Island, he really came into his own during World Tour, and made it pretty far at 5th place!

I think this would be the perfect usage of Tyler for this series. He wouldn't over-stay his welcome like some characters, but would still be utilized when he was around.

Also, I know someone's gonna bring this up, but yes, I can see Tyler and Leshawna competing together for the Ridonculous Race.

However, I'm not quite sure how far they would make it.

Chaos is all Nick consisted of, all passion and energy, all consuming. An undying fire blazed brightly within the depths of his soul. It raged and flickered happily. When he saw me, it grew tenfold. Warmth bubbled into his eyes, radiating heat so hot it hurt to look at them. Over time I acclimated, no longer scared he would burn me with his touch. I yearned for the heat of his hands and body.

Feverish he made me with lust and desire, never letting me close enough to love—but that was fine. I was content, though in the confines of my mind, I begged for him to engulf me. Nick didn’t believe in love. The way his gaze lingered, how his knees grew weak every time we kissed. His big, wholesome grin. How he was so quick to protect me. His actions betrayed his words. He knew love. He knew it so well.

I noticed when he started distancing. He lied, trying to assure me he was fine. Something was gravely wrong. The fire in his eyes didn’t blaze as bright. His touches didn’t sear the way they once did—and they weren’t as frequent. His hands were always on me, but that stopped as well. He assured me he was fine—but I knew better.

His eternal flame was dying out. I’m sure he felt it. Nick never spoke of it, never told me how to keep it lit. The vibrancy of him was slowly fading. It killed me. All I could do was aid him in ways I knew weren’t working. Mortal remedies didn’t even offer a façade. I plead with him to give me something. His grip on my hand was weak, all warmth from it gone.

“Nick, please. I’d sell my soul a thousand times over just for you. Let me help.” I cried out to him, desperately.

A spark tickled my lips when I kissed his hand. I brushed my lips over his knuckles, feeling the spark again. Of course. Tentatively, I kissed my way up his arm, relishing in the tingle of Nick’s skin. A familiar and comfortable warmth started blossoming. I could sense his body was trying to rekindle.

“I love you so much. Please let me stoke the fire.”

Desperation plagued my kisses at his neck. His hands were heating up. A breath escaped him when I closed my mouth over his. He was hesitant to return it, not wanting to accept my offering, but when his fire reignited, he lost himself in me and every ounce of love I could give.

If Nick still didn’t believe in love, I couldn’t be sure. He never spoke those words to me—though I certainly felt his love. I hoped he felt mine. There was a familiar roar thrumming under his skin. His chaotic nature sprung back to life all at once around me

Fire sprouted from his chest, hearts bursting into flames, engulfing us both. To my surprise, the flames didn’t hurt. They tickled the hairs on my arms, they flicked across my cheeks. I broke into a smile against Nick’s lips, only urging the fire to burn stronger. This is all I ever asked—to feel him in a way he was too afraid to show. Near death is not how I anticipated, but I was grateful nonetheless.

His fire returned to its former glory, hot and blinding. His embrace once more provided me with heat. He never shied away from me again, and never let me forget how love rekindled his dying flame. From that moment on, every moment of every day he told me he loved me.

thoughts on ilw ch 21 (spoilers below)

first, a deep dive on matthias x mc:

Matthias McQuoid: a man ready to let the world burn if it meant he’d get his greatest wish... which poses a very important question:

Is it possible for Matthias to have a happy ending?

Ch 21 gives us readers the classic villain’s monologue- a peek into grandpa Matty’s twisted mind. A part of me was waiting for the ball to drop- to make Lincoln proud and finally be able to say Matthias is an evil bastard. Period. No discussion needed. But then he comes at me with ‘I wanted to spend an eternity with my family by my side’ and I can’t help feeling the slightest pang of sympathy. Grandpa Matty, complex till the bitter end 😭

How could someone determined to do absolutely anything for his loved ones be so bad? While Matthias can claim he’d move heaven and earth for his loved ones (and he damn well near does), it’s not received with open arms. Instead, it drives them further away until he’s left with a dead wife and a son who wants nothing to do with him. I fear that an MC romancing Matthias faces a similar, tragic fate.

They say, "a villain would sacrifice the world to save you*"

*but in the case of grand-daddy Matty, only until you no longer serve him. he’ll sacrifice the world, but never himself

MC x Matthias’ plan to make Devon/Noah the new anchor is only a temporary fix. Eventually that anchor will weaken. Yes, you could argue that he’d just wash, rinse, and repeat the same steps he did with Devon/Noah for the rest of time without batting an eye:

Manipulate the world to his will

Bask in his riches

Spend another millennia with MC at his side #dearcreature

Who knows? Maybe that’s how their arc will end come ch 23. Bring me the epilogue scene of Mathias and MC sipping cocktails poolside. Let the villain have his cake and eat it too, right?

This particular scene makes me think otherwise:

Matthias’ cruel nature is no secret to MC, regardless of their relationship status with him. Romancing him, however, allows MC to justify it. But that doesn’t stop that bit of doubt from creeping up. What happens when they're no longer enough? Deep down, they already know the answer. But as of right now, Matthias loves them. Wants them. Ironically, they voice out this hidden fear to Adrian:

“It’ll never be enough. No matter how much you get, you’ll always want more.”

Stripped down to his most basic parts- Matthias is a selfish, self-serving man. One who takes, but never gives. He commands, but will never follow. It’s not an if, it’s a when; after enough temporary fixes, Matthias will want a permanent solution on his quest towards unlimited power/immortality and no amount of ‘love’ will stop him.

If we’re defining a happy ending as getting everything you want, then yes, it is possible for Matthias to have one. In fact, it is guaranteed. MC’s happily-ever-after with him, however, will always come with strings.

man, what. a. ride. the whiplash from going between these incredibly wholesome moments to these gut-wrenching death sequences is way too jarring. *continues to see what other atrocities i can unlock*

we finally get to see lincoln’s item in action- and as speculated- we can time-travel bitches🔥 how many ways can our scooby gang die in the next two chapters??? the answer will probably traumatize me.

as someone who was blindsided by jocelyn’s betrayal, her flashback scene was amazing to read. the call outside the school, why she wasn’t immediately at MCs side after the cave collapsed- it was all right there 😭

adios to gunnor- im gonna miss his feisty ass lol. ilw has made me a connor stan, so that connor x mc reunion was *chef’s kiss* perfection

Sexuality Headcanon: the fact that the fandom *unanimously* agrees he’s not straight is hilarious. I could see him being Bi, Pan or Gay.

Gender Headcanon: Cis-dudebro but I think this is more a reflection of my own experience with gender (I say this as it pertains to all the characters you mentioned below) because whenever I see someone's trans Bakugo, I eat that up too. Specifically @peterokii's T4T KiriBaku, all their art, which includes keychains, stickers, prints, comics and pfps, is beautiful and has a lot of SeroRoki and wholesome Todofam. I also love Noah's SPITEBABY series. Stealing insight from sarajamss here but I'm inclined to trust the people.

A ship I have with said character: BakuDeku

A BROTP I have with said character: OchaKugo or BakuJirou

A NOTP I have with said character: N/A, tbh I love all Bakugo ships (barring the odd student x teacher ships though I've mainly seen those for Midoriya).

A random headcanon: Bakugo's room is in pristine condition, obviously, with demure nods to his love for All Might. But I also think he has a picture of kid-Bakugo and Kid-Zuku on his desk. I think Deku has a twin picture in his room and that's what he hides before everyone walks into his embarrassing fanboy dorm.

General Opinion over said character: Polarizing but there's a reason he's been number 1 in the popularity polls 9 years straight. For this reason, he's frequently misinterpreted in fandom, but I think the complexity of his character is precisely why I like him and it's definitely something that's being brought into the light now in the manga which I love. I recall Horikoshi saying something along the lines of whether you love or hate Bakugo, the end of his character arc will please you which, at the time, was a little concerning. But, in my opinion, he's executing this last arc beautifully. I still don't know what that'll mean for Bakugo, completely, but he's had some big, beautiful moments.

GOJO

Sexuality Headcanon: Please. Even Mappa twinkified this man. He is gay.

Gender Headcanon: Cis

A ship I have with said character: SatoSugu

A BROTP I have with said character: SatoShoko

A NOTP I have with said character: any with the 16 year olds under his care.

A random headcanon: Gojo, with his luxury wardrobe, furnishings, and all his brilliance... still has the same flip phone he's had since high school. It's got all his pics, all his memories but also, lowkey? He's just not tech savvy. He finds his smartphone overstimulating and is regularly engaging Megumi on tech support for random stuff and nothing beats the satisfaction of an "I don't get email on this phone" punctuated by the clap of his phone closing whenever Ijichi reaches out requesting paperwork or reports post-mission.

General Opinion over said character: Gojo is another character, like Bakugo, who is like willfully and regularly mischaracterized by fans (both those who love and those who hate him, tbh). It's hard to remember he's just a side character because, even being removed for more of the story than he's in, the brain rot that he and what we've seen of his backstory inspires is debilitating.

A random headcanon: Ash seems like the type who would mother and tut to the younger kids while also not being completely capable of taking care of himself. Like chastising Kong and Bones for their 3 and 1 body wash meal but being completely incapable of preparing a meal that isn't microwaved. Tutting Skip for having his elbows on the bar while they eat and drink but his firearm resting on the lip of the bar is totally fine. He ruled with an iron fist, yes, but the line everyone toed was out of respect not fear per se... unless they had to wake him up, of course. Similar to how waking him is like waking the dead, I just know he turns into a big ole baby when he's sick. He used to grit and bear it but with Eiji's introduction, he milks it.

General Opinion over said character: Ash Lynx deserved better. How can you not love and want to protect this kid? I also appreciate that under all that grit, that violence was a person who did what he needed to to take care of his brother; to watch out for younger kids in the only way he could/knew how; to still open his heart and trust to a total stranger who found himself in a new country.

A random headcanon: I don't think Hermione ever stopped championing the underdog. She might have gotten a job at the Ministry of Magic 👀 but homegirl spent her time outside of work rallying protests, attending marches (both in muggle and magical spaces) for causes that she felt could positively shape the world in better ways than the confines of her previously tyrannical 9-5. Also, did her working there after not sit right with others? Again, something I probably more appreciate as an adult than a child.

General Opinion over said character: The Author is Dead but also, as an adult thinking about Hermione in this story, it's crazy to have given What's Her Name so much credit for writing such a whip smart and proactive heroine when she ultimately used her to also be pejorative about social justice issues when it came to advocating for the house elves. That disconnect is so ironic from someone who *thinks* they're a feminist (author's note, you cannot be a transphobe and a feminist. Further, if your feminism isn't intersectional, it's not feminism).

💧Rain - What's the most emotional scene you've ever written?

This is so hard to answer! I think it's probably the scene in November Breaks, from Brett's point of view, when he has a whole existential crisis coming down off MDMA and realises that his life has been completely changed by the existence of someone he only met two weeks ago. It ends with...

And I’m struck by the sudden and profound understanding that I’m going to die in his arms. Not now, but when it happens.

The line Not now, but when it happens appears twice in the book, both times when Brett is thinking about Noah. The first time is an "I need him to hurt me the way nothing else can" moment and the second time is in that scene, in an "I know he'll hold me the way no-one else could" moment.

In case this all sounds very wholesome, they're criminals. They do fraud and murder. The whole thing is terribly dark and fucked up, but also very emotional in parts.

☁️ Cloudy - What inspired you to start writing your WIP? (or in general)

Because I talked about November Breaks in my other answer, I'll stick with those characters and talk about Spin Cylinder, the sequel, in this one. I finished November Breaks in early 2022 and knew that a) there would be a sequel, and b) it would be called Spin Cylinder.

This is super weird for me because I'm dreadful at coming up with titles and tend to wait until at least a couple of drafts in, when an arrangement of words in the book stands out as a good title (this has accidentally become my titling strategy).

I had no idea what Spin Cylinder would be about. I still don't. But it demanded to start being written earlier this year and here we are.

Sex isn't dirty and it has nothing to do with "rushing things to feed a fantasy." How don't you see that you're sounding indistinguishable from ron desantis and televangelists?

Homophobic GA members think all of Byler is creepy just because it's gay. I promise you that keeping it "pure" is not gonna make them be okay with Byler. You can keep dancing around the truth, but it doesn't change the truth: you think sex, and gay sex in particular, is creepy.

This is puritan behavior.

You post stuff like "I'm gonna protect these 2 cuties from the creeps of the fandom" without any hint of irony. That is purity culture. It's the same mindset of those who try to shield their daughters from their own sexuality or who try to tell people that the only acceptable way of having sex is in a heterosexual marriage, as if sex is something that corrodes and erases innocence. Do you hear what you're saying?

Never mind that there's an obvious thematic significance to a Byler sex scene given the 80s context, as well as emotional significance (since most of sex is psychological, and it's about exploring these character dynamics. It has nothing to do with being "creepy" or "forcing fantasies" on people TF.

The show itself has already shown Byler be sexually attracted to each other, are you denying this? Have you seen hosegate? Have you watched the show?

Another example of a show that handles queer teen sexuality perfectly is the new Chucky show. After showing them fall in love in Seasons 1 and 2, Season 3 has shown their two queer teen main characters ready to take things to the next level. And they openly communicate with each other and talk about safety/consent.

No one's saying that a byler sex scene would be some weird horny thing. It would be a display of love between two characters who have grown up together and would fit within the show's main anti-conformity character arcs and themes. It would be wholesome and tastefully done. Most Bylers would want it to be implied anyway.

It's not like Stranger Things is gonna suddenly become Euphoria or Sex Education or Riverdale.

Didn't you listen to all the minors of the Tag who are feeling uncomfortable thinking about that things? Don't u care about them ? Why do u call them puritans? Also no offense but hosegate is an interpretation lol. If you watch the show without analysing it like crazy,you wouldn't even interpret that scene that way. When I first saw that scene I saw a Will being sad and breathing loudly while looking at Mike because he is nervous. He would love to run to Mike and tell him that it's his painting and his feelings but he cannot and the fact that now he thinks that Byler has 0 chance of happening. It is giving him anxiety. Noah made the same look during the rain fight and generally starts breathing loudly when Will is nervous. If you don't look at the hose and think about a banana , hosegate becomes bs. It's not even a Byler evidence. My problem isn't about Byler sex scenes in general cause if Byler was like over 20 I wouldn't say anything, it's the fact that you are burning to get that scene. You want it so bad that it becomes creepy and when a minor feels uncomfortable because of what u are saying, you call them a puritan.It is basically child manipulation! Not everyone is ready to understand anatomy ! Not everyone likes to see 2 people having intimate moments! Not everyone agrees with minors having s.x! And it's fucking valid !

summary: zeon hadn't seen you since that fateful night, wondering if you died or left him like everyone else...

zeon had almost taken you for granted all his life, but the moment you were gone, he realized just how badly he needed you.

you two grew up together, always at each other's side. you were never seen apart from one another. it was never just zeon or just y/n. it was always zeon and y/n. you belonged together and that became clear at a very young age. and still, zeon was just so used to you being by his side, that he only really realized how much you meant to him when you were gone.

that night, zeon lost everything.

noah, eunie and lanz vanished and were announced traitors, so called ouroboros. and the same night many soldiers went missing, some like mwamba later being found dead.

you were one of the once going missing and the more days passed by, the harder it became for zeon to believe you were still alive. still, he had to keep hoping you were out there. because if he didn't, he'd lose his mind.

days went by, then weeks. there was no trace of you. but there was one of the ouroboros! noah and the others showed up at colony 9 again and zeon was one of the first ones to rush out to meet them. even if they were now his enemies, he hoped you would be with them. he'd rather have you be his enemy than for you to be dead…

"where's y/n!?"

zeon rushed towards the ouroboros, drawing his blade. his eyes were searching for you between the ouroboros, yet you were nowhere to be found.

"y/n..? y/n isn't with us…"

noah seemed a little confused, turning his head back to look at his friends, which almost costed him his life, as zeon rushed forward, striking his blade towards noah, who barely managed to dodge.

"liar! i don't believe a word coming from your traitorous mouth! y/n vanished the same night as you all did! you have to know something!"

it didn't matter if zeon believed noah was lying or not. he simply couldn't stand the thought of you dying that night. he had been alone for far too long now. he lost you, the person he loved the most. the one who he could always count on, the one that had always been by his side. the longer he had been by himself, the more he lost his mind…

zeon lost the fight against noah and he was lucky that he had been fighting his former friends and allies, otherwise this would've cost him his life. as zeon slowly stopped letting his grief cloud his judgment, he told noah and co everything. and slowly he had to admit to himself that you were truly gone. he had to accept he would never see you again…

though just when he had accepted it, fate brought the two of you together again. or rather moebius.

when zeon reached colony 9 with the ouroboros, their consul was already waiting there for them. B stood there at the gate, his grand statue blocking the entrance to the colony, as well as something… no, someone else.

"i expected better of you than to bring the traitors into our colony, zeon. and while i'm dissappointed in you, i'm not surprised…"

B scolded zeon, before stepping aside, finally revealing the person behind him: you.

"y/n…!"

zeon's voice cracked as he saw you. just seeing your face again was enough to bring him to his knees, crumbling as all the grief, anger and sadness of the last weeks washed away. he barely even remembered what it had felt like without them…

"stand up, zeon! or do you plan to just watch as the one you love kills you and your friends?"

B's words made zeon's eyes widen. and suddenly, he saw it. your iris, it was red. you were just like the soldiers that night you vanished. you weren't you anymore.

"you… what have you done to y/n!?"

zeon rushed towards B, drawing his blade and about to strike him, when B stepped aside, making zeon miss his target and his blade almost piercing through you instead.

"if you're playing unfair, then so will i. you can choose: saving your friends or the one you love. what will it be?"

it was an impossible choice to make. of course, zeon's first thought was saving you. but he couldn't do it, if it meant dooming his friends.

"...th…"

"what was that? speak up!"

B taunted zeon, a cocky grin on his lips.

"both!! i'll save both of them!"

zeon rushed towards B again, this time not putting his all in his strike. he was always expecting B to fade away again and teleport to play unfair. luckily the ouroboros didn't have to limit their powers. if things had been different, zeon would've watched amazed at the new powers his friends gained. but for now, he could only focus on you…

the battle was long and hard, with both sides getting their fair share of injuries and wounds. and yet, zeon had won. consul B was defeated, even if it left zeon with more scars than any battle ever had. and things didn't look any better for you. but at least you had finally regained control over yourself again.

as soon as B's lights faded towards the sky, zeon knew it was over. he knew he could finally let his guard down again and the first thing he did was rush towards you, wrapping his arms around you and doing that with such power that it made the two of you stumble onto the ground.

and yet, zeon still didn't let go of you. he held you in his arms, sobbbing and laughing, so overwhelmed with emotions that he didn't know what he should feel right now or how to properly express it.

"y-you're back… you're finally back"

zeon mumbled against your neck, burrying his face in your clothes and softly breathing in your familiar scent.

"i thought i lost you forever… each day without you was worst than the last, it was pure torture. but you're here again. you're with me…"

zeon finally pulled away from you a little, facing you. his face was covered in tears and he looked worse than ever before, yet you had never seen him happier than right now in this moment with you.

zeon just looked at you for a moment, taking in all your features. he had to remind himself of what you looked like, that's how long it had been since he last saw you. but now that you were here again, he'd make sure you two never get seperated again. and he'd make sure nothing went left unsaid or undone.

zeon's hands wandered up to your cheeks, softly cupping them, before he leaned into a kiss. during his time without you, he had often dreamed about this moment. and he had always regreted losing you before he got to find out what it was like to kiss you. but now that his lips were pressed against yours, he finally what it felt like. kissing you felt like heaven. and zeon never wanted your lips to part again…
