When I first watched the First 10th Anniversary Legacy short, I actually didn't realize the guy shown in the majority of the short was actually a villain.
I didn't find out until over a year after the short's release when I was watching someone's reaction to it & they talked about the plot twist.

'kai raised nya alone' is such bs. oh yeah those other village people wouldn't fucking help two babies who's parents are missing. they totally wouldn't provide them food and help them to get enrolled in school or help with their home.
(( i do hc that kai and nya grew up very fast, being too mature for their age and having no close friends with others bc of their more adult behavior. both of them are school dropouts (kai dropped out in middle school and nya in highschool.) ))

I’ve had issues with the first movie for the longest time bc I thought the writing was kind of basic, but now that the sequels are actually coming out I’m curious on the general consensus.
Like the worldbuilding, designs and music? Instant w, that shit goes hard, and the ocs people make for this series are always super pretty. But the actual plot and message of the film? Ngl I’ve always lowkey rooted for the humans just bc I thought the na’vi were a little too perfect, but I realize the “one with nature” type of vibe doesn’t resonate with me to begin with, so I’m biased. Also I haven’t watched Way of Water, so I’m just speaking on memory and offhand knowledge.
#idk I’ve had thoughts on this series for so long#like how the na’vi don’t have 4 eyes/6 limbs like seemingly every other organism on the planet#but there’s that one sort of monkey parallel with the shrunken 2nd eyes and fusing limbs#so you can connect that them and the na’vi are related the same way we are to chimpanzees#and they just evolved to lose those traits#that’s just the biology nerd in me tho#avatar#avatar james cameron#avatar way of water#rn the way I interact with the series is the same as ninjago. Alright, another one of these emoji games.
This time I’m going to make them in Separate posts because there’s a likelihood no one will read all the self-reblogs.
So explanation: For the purpose of this AU and to clear up some loop holes, Me, myself and I, have decided to do a bit of ‘reimagining’ of Ninjago. To try and clear up some loop holes as Ninjago in this AU is a prequel to LMK.

I feel like the Ninjago: Reimagined shorts really prove that yes, Ninjago can 2d animate legos! They don't have to do the anime-parody style! (my hope for a ninjago/lmk crossover gets crazier by the minute)

Wow I’ve been posting a lo recently
Anyway some jaya doodles cuz I wanted to draw em
This is from my Ninjago!Reimagined au where their dynamic is a lil different
In this au Jay tries to befriend Nya because he heard that Nya had a side job as a mechanic once and since his main hyperfixation is yk, mech’s and stuff, he really wanted to be her friend but didn’t know how. So he kinda just unconsciously stared at her while trying to find a way to talk to her, and that kinda made Nya think he hated her.
He asks her to hang out sometime and it’s basically 90% of him rambiling about some blueprints he’s been working on but Nya doesn’t mind, the last 10% is nya giving advice and just talking to him.
Also the way Jay finds out that Nya is Samurai X is a little different, she doesn’t tell him. He reverse engineered some of Samurai X’s tech and found out that Nya and Samurai X had the same type of tech and details put into it.
Also I hc Nya as trans, cause yes and I wanted to draw Jay attempting to help her feel better when she’s having bad dysphoria
