Who are you, my mother? I was smoking when you met me, so you knew the deal. I’ve been under a lot of stress with work and school and these help relax me. And once you start smoking more it’s hard to cut back. So just deal with it. I’ll cut back later.

The way comic books handle drug use has always been kind of interesting to me. Like even in characters that use often they still face consequences for their drug use.
We all know like the Roy Harper heroin plot thing from way back and Jason Todd’s smoking arc as a teenager.
But even with characters like Constantine, a chainsmoker, died of lung cancer. Sure, it didn’t last, but he still had to go through and die of lung cancer clearly from his smoking. And Lucifer, is still literally THE DEVIL. Substances are used without quite being glorified.
Jay and Silent Bob were buying vapes, but since flavored nicotine stuff is illegal, the clerk suggested they use them with a few Tic-Tacs in their mouths. Jay said that was stupid, so the clerk suggested they just huff lead.
