A mutter of confusion came from Nichkhun as he walked into the kitchen, noticing not a single thing moved from where he left that morning. Walking back to where you were on the sofa, Nichkhun could tell straight away that something was up.
“Have you eaten yet?” He enquired, feeling your eyes look across at him as soon as he spoke.
You didn’t say anything, just shook your head a couple of times as you pulled the blanket that you had draped over you further around your body. Nichkhun quickly walked across to you, kneeling down on the floor besides the sofa.
“You need to eat,” he told you, placing his hand against your waist, “I know your ill sweetheart, but not eating is only going to make things worse.”
A groan came from you as concerned eyes studied you closely, “I was going to eat, but then I just felt tired as soon as I sat up. I just gave up on standing up after a while, it kept giving me a headache.”
A weak smile formed on Nichkhun’s face, feeling just how warm your body was as your temperature continued to flare. “Why don’t I make us something?” He offered, “something that might help to make you feel a bit better.”
“I’m sleepy,” you whispered, but Nichkhun’s head shook, poking against your cheek to keep you awake.
As much as he cared, there was no way that he was going to let you fall asleep without at least eating something. He didn’t care what it was, or how much you ate of it, he just wanted for you to eat something.
“Try and stay awake, I promise that I won’t be long,” Nichkhun asked of you, hearing yet another groan come from you, desperate to close your eyes.
As he went to stand up, Nichkhun quickly dropped back down again, worried that you would settle as soon as he left the room. He was running out of options, concerned that you hadn’t been taking care of yourself properly too.
“What about if I order something in?” Nichkhun suggested, “we can sit here and do something whilst we wait for food, and then I promise that you can sleep all evening long.”
Reluctantly your head nodded in reply, watching on as Nichkhun immediately pulled out his phone and started to scroll through the options that the two of you had, knowing only that he wanted to order from a place that would be good for you.
Eventually he settled, giving you the choice to pick a couple of dishes that you wanted before placing his phone back down. His eyes landed back on you as soon as he did so, weakly smiling at the expression on your face.
“I wish that you could get better,” he whispered, “I hate seeing you like this, it’s unlike you at all.”
Another hum came from you, clearing your groggy voice, “I just want to stop feeling so rubbish, why did this have to happen to me.”
“I don’t know, but I promise I’ll help get you better.”

CRACKED - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Film Movement
SYNOPSIS: Ruja returns to Thailand from New York with her young daughter Rachel to settle her late father's estate. Included in her inheritance are two mysterious portraits of a bewitching woman that she is told are worth a fortune, if only they weren't damaged. Desperate to sell the paintings, Ruja hires Tim, an art restorer, to prepare the canvases for sale. But the cracks in the paint have begun to reveal long-hidden secrets, and as strange phenomena begin to emerge around them, Ruja and Rachel quickly realize their lives are in grave danger.
REVIEW: A mother takes her daughter back to her childhood home after her father passes and comes face to face with dark secrets that could potentially consume her and her infirmed daughter. The film combines some classic elements, set in a great Indonesian location and captures excellent performances to deliver a haunting tale.
The story is filled with peril and captures the viewer’s interest when we are presented with Rachael’s illness. Once the mother and daughter arrive at the house it slowly begins to roll out the tension and suspense. Upon the death of the owner, one of the paintings created by Ruja’s father has been returned to the family. Apparently they are worth a small fortune, but need to be restored due to cracks in the paintings. There are restless spirits on the estate and clearly they are linked to the creation of the paintings. The story unravels from several perspectives, and those wishing to do Ruja and her daughter harm might just be ghostly. As things escalate, Ruja begins to have flashbacks and old memories begin to surface concerning her father, his studio and his model for the paintings. The plot plays upon the idea of sight and vision, and the mother/daughter relationship. Given the limited number of players and locations, the film feels like a staged play. The story has a classic gothic feel with a climax that is satisfying without any big surprises.
CRACKED has a nice ensemble cast. Ruja is played by the actress and model Chayanit Chansangavej. She is a natural as a caring mother and a daughter struggling with the mystery surrounding her. She presents a convincing performance that draws the viewer into the story. Showing up later in the tale is K-pop star Nichkhun as Tim, the art restorer. I’m not familiar with the group 2PM, but his work here is sold. He has a broad acting palette and is solid in his more grammatical moments and extremely convincing. Young actress Nutthatcha Padovan plays Rachael. She is adorable, a delight to watch and delivers an excellent performance.
I admire the production values. The estate is set out in the forest. When they arrive it appears to be monsoon season, so it is constantly raining. As such, even during the day, with the windows open there are dark connors and long shadows. As such, the ghosts can move about during the day and be just as effective as during the night. There is creepy air to the look of the film. In contrast, there are the two paintings with vibrant golds and reds. The red appears several times in the film and takes on multiple implications, but mostly dreadful. The filmmakers create a visual effect for when they want us to see through Racheal’s impaired vision. Likewise, there are scenes where they presented a limited field of vision to maintain the mystery and suspense of the film.
CRACKED is a delightful blend of different cultures' gothic themes. It’s a wonderfully woven plot that keeps the viewer on edge as it slowly puts the pieces in place. If you are a fan of the genre, literary and cinematic, you’ll enjoy the tale but I’m not sure you’ll be wowed by the ending. The film also features a great cast, fine production values and a talent cast. CRACKED is an eerie and sexually charged supernatural Indonesian thriller worth delving into.

The smell of fresh dirt filled your nostrils as you stuck the shovel into the ground, pressing it firmly with your foot before pushing against the handle to lift it up with dirt, tossing it behind you. You huffed as you wiped your sweat on your thin flannel. Nichkhun was nowhere to be found in or outside of the house, leaving you to dig for the new garden you two agreed to build together, all alone.
“I should really kill him for leaving me hanging,” you mumbled, completely unaware of the ear listening in to your ramble before you continued digging, dead set on finishing the digging portion before sundown.
And you did finish just as the sun was setting, drenched in sweat and covered in dirt, you threw down the shovel and stepped out of the semi shallow pit. You weren’t out for long before something hit the back of your head causing you to lose your balance and fall into the pit. Nichkhun’s face popped into your blurred vision. You were confused at what was happening struggling to form a single thought but hearing his words very clearly.
“Thank you for digging your own grave. You just made my job a lot easier.”
Without an ounce of hesitation, he raised his arm, bringing it down quickly and hitting your temple knocking your unconscious but not killing you, before climbing out and picking up the shovel, tossing dirt back into the hole you’d dug.

Summary: When you have a secret santa off a secret admirier, Nichkhun can’t help but get jealous and makes sure that whoever it was, knew you were already taken.

Just as you’re about to leave the house to meet your friends, you’re stopped in your tracks when you notice a small present on the floor in front of you, labeled with your name and signed off with just ‘Secret Admirer'.
Confused, you slowly pick it up, close your door behind you and make your way into the dining room, putting it down on the table and leaving it there, ready for you to come home to afterward. With a pep in your step, thinking it must be off of your boyfriend, Nichkhun, you make your way to meet your best friend for coffee.
Unbeknownst to you, it was definitely not off of him as he already had your Christmas presents planned, plus he was past the whole secret admirer idea, just wanting to be straight up with making sure you knew his presents were off him.
Moments after you leave, Nickhyun walks into the house, putting his keys down on the table before making his way to the kitchen. In the corner of his eye, he notices the present, face scrunching in confusion just as yours did earlier on as he walks over to it.
Opening up the label, he lets out a distasteful groan with a sour taste in his mouth, knowing he wouldn’t have left this, and instantly gets in a foul mood. The idea that you had a secret admirer and it wasn’t him, makes him angry, as it was evident enough that you were with him but obviously that was never going to be enough.
He knows he shouldn’t get this worked up over it, but part of him is getting extremely possessive over you, you are his and only his. The sour taste in his mouth stays for hours on end, waiting for you to get home to ask you about it, why you’re accepting gifts like this. He knew he was going to be crossing a line but he just couldn’t help it.
As soon as you walk through the door, he’s standing there, arms crossed in front of his chest, looking straight through you rather than at you. Smiling at him, you walk towards your boyfriend, arms out to give him a hug but your arms drop and your face contorts in confusion.
“Hey baby, are you okay?” You slowly ask, taking one of his hands in yours as he brushes you off, walking away to pick up your present, handing it back to you as you smile, thanking him as he hands it over.
“I don’t know why you’re thanking me, this isn’t from me?” Nichkhun scoffs sarcastically, standing tall over you as you look up at him, dumb founded, you had sworn it was him, who else could it be?
“Is it not? I thought it was,” You go quiet, opening it up to see the most sparkly necklace, silver with the prettiest little diamond hanging off it, seemingly really expensive.
Noticing the gift, he grits his teeth together, ripping them out of your hands as his hands fly to your waist, looking at you with dark eyes, “So who’s it off, huh? Who bought you this?”
“I don’t know baby, I’m really gutted that it’s not off you,” You look at him, wrapping your arms around him, noticing he’s really not himself, “I promise you that I don’t know who it is,” you confirm.
Rolling his eyes with an accompanied scoff, he pulls you closer, lips crashing against yours without remorse, turning it heated within seconds, his possessiveness taking over him, picking you up to put you on the table. He presses himself against you, leaving you no room to move.
“What’s gotten into you?” You ask, taking a deep breath between the kisses and pulling away slightly, and ruffling his hair with a small smile on your face. You weren’t going to complain about coming home to this, but with the way he’s been since you walked through the door, you knew something was off.
Hand on your face, cupping your cheek, he smirks slightly with a deep tone of voice, “You’re my baby, only mine. No one can admirer you like I can, no one”.
His voice sends shivers down your spine, his words going straight to your core, making you soak through your panties. And if that wasn’t enough, the way he looks at you has you reeling, heads over heels as he licks his lips, his eyes wandering from your lips to your neck and an idea burns in his mind.
“It’s not my fault, I don’t even know who my little admirer is,” You cock an eyebrow cheekily, teasing with your words as you watch his face contort, eyes hungry to devour your there and then.
“I know baby, but you’re mine. Everyone should know that, I just have to make it evident that you’re mine,” He twirls his fingers on your sides then digs his hands into the flesh, making you yelp at the feeling.
His fingers find their way under your shirt, digging into your bare flesh enough to leave a small bruise there as his head leans towards the crook of your neck which you move your head to give him better access.
The way he peppers your neck with kisses makes you whimper a little, kissing right up the sensitive part of your neck and starting off light, to begin with. Slowly, the small peppering turns into little bites and sucking on the skin, making you jolt back a little at the sensation.
However, he wasn’t really happy with the small faint bruising, knowing that it’ll fade within hours. Humming to himself, he looks at you with begging eyes to continue, and of course, he does.
Although, you didn’t prepare yourself for the harsh biting and sucking on the skin that he does, making you moan loudly at the feeling, hissing at the stinging sensation but the way your hands pull at his hair, just eggs him on to keep going.
His hands move to your thighs, gripping tighter on them than your hips before moving them to yank down your trousers and removing your top in the process, leaving you bare in just your underwear on the table.
So much skin to cover in front of him, growling to himself as he moves to the other side of your neck, repeating the same process before moving painfully slow to your shoulders and across your collarbone. Planting kisses on your chest, he could feel how quickly you were breathing. He’s smirking to himself as he lays you down gently on the table, covering you black and blue with hickeys, marking other parts of your body with hand and fingerprints, getting really into it.
“Damn, you look so pretty being marked as mine,” He licks his lips, taking a look at his masterpiece as he realizes how worked up he’s gotten you, unable to hold himself back anymore, “Come on, let’s go to the bedroom and I can make sure you know who you’re with”.

A ⇴ ATTENTION
His eye was always wondering, and if it wasn’t able to land on you, Nichkhun would usually begin to worry. The other members especially knew when he was looking for you and would help point him in your direction.
B ⇴ BICKER
You both liked to think that you were too mature to bicker, but you both knew deep down that that definitely wasn’t true. Like any true friendships you had your moments when you couldn’t help but start bickering and trying to wind each other up as you tried to get yourselves heard and shut the other one down.
C ⇴ COMFORT
Whenever you were down, you were always made to feel as if you were Nichkhun’s priority. He never left your side, no matter how many times you tried to assure him that you were alright and that he didn’t need to worry. Worrying about you was what he did best, all he wanted was to see your smile.
D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS
You both had a pretty good understanding of one another and so you knew what to do to keep things calm and not let a disagreement occur. Nichkhun especially was good at diffusing a situation if it seemed like conflict was about to arise between the two of you, suggesting that perhaps the subject of conversation got changed, or maybe suggesting that it was time for him to head home to give yourselves space.
E ⇴ EARLY YEARS
It was hard for you not to be charmed by Nichkhun when you first met him, he knew exactly what he was doing with you. He was engaged and listened intently to you which made you really want to spend time with him as you felt as if he paid close attention to you. Not only was he a good listener, but he also had a cheeky nature that made you chuckle like very few people had made you chuckle before.
F ⇴ FAMILY
Nichkhun’s family loved to hear from you, especially as they very rarely got to see you. If you were there when they called Nichkhun then they’d make sure to tell him to put you on the screen too for them to see. The conversation would mostly be about you whenever you were with Nichkhun, if he had a story to share then he’d have to wait as his family all decided to see how you were doing first before Nichkhun.
G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER
It depended usually on things like the weather and how busy it was outside as to whether the two of you went out or stayed in when you hung out. You didn’t mind being in or out too much, however you definitely were not the type of person to be out in the rain or the hot sun, even if Nichkhun didn’t mind too much.
H ⇴ HABITS
The two of you had a habit of impulsively making plans together. When you were bored, or when Nichkhun was, you’d just text each other to see what you were doing, and if the answer was nothing then you’d be at the other person’s place within the hour to give yourselves some plans and something to do.
I ⇴ INSIDE JOKES
Both of you loved to mess around and try and cause some trouble which led to quite a few inside jokes. Many people underestimated how mischievous the two of you could be, and it was usually the unassuming reactions of others during the pranks that you pulled that ended up giving you the best inside jokes.
J ⇴ JEALOUSY
At times he knew that people took advantage of his kindness, but that didn’t stop Nichkhun being observant of your friends. He knew the ones to be wary of and the ones that he wasn’t completely keen on, even if they didn’t know that. On the outside Nichkhun was smiley and approachable to your friends, but on the inside, he had his eyes on some people, making mental notes if they tried to make him jealous.
K ⇴ KICKS
Nichkhun got a kick out of making you smile more than anything else. He didn’t need a kick out of anything big, just knowing that you were happy whilst in his company was all that really mattered to him. As long as he saw a smile on your face, that was all that Nichkhun needed to just be able to sit back and relax.
L ⇴ LOVE
He loved how you were always there for him, and how whenever he was stressed, you’d be there to help him. You were the person that Nichkhun could talk to about absolutely anything, and usually you were the person that had the right advice that would help him too. Even if you didn’t, you’d just try and help distract him for a little while and help Nichkhun to think about something else to try and relax.
M ⇴ MEETING
The two of you first met when you began showing up regularly at the café that was nearby to your home. You’d often take your work there to get a change of scenery, and after watching you for a few days whilst stopping by after work, Nichkhun couldn’t help but be nosy and ask you what it was that you were doing.
N ⇴ NONSENSE
He loved to be silly with you and really relax, not worrying about being an idol at all for a rare bit of time. If there was one person that he knew that would appreciate his silly and childish nature, it was definitely you.

Nichkhun was obsessed with your passion and enthusiasm. He loved how you always had such a positive outlook and tried his best to be just like you whenever he was unmotivated or feeling a bit glum.

The moments that Nichkhun loved the most were the ones when the two of you could just do what normal friends do. Things like going for a walk, going to a restaurant or going to watch a film were the things that he loved. There were never any particular moments, it was more just about the ordinary things.
