Kirbtober 2023 Day 24: AU
i love accidentally posting this on the AU blog instead of my main F^CK
"Yesterday, Kirby made this machine that was supposedly able to bring us to Civis Cosmosis without the help of Elfilin or the Lor Starcutter... He did leave us a way to access the machine and enter the exact coordinates to pick him up, since he's scared that it would fail and cause him to get trapped to wherever he got sent in...
And since he's been missing for a few hours and not coming back, we assumed he got lost, and we managed to enter the place... but apparently we found ourselves in a world familiar to ours, and it looks like Popstar years later after our escapades...
I heard Kirby here became a king from the pedestrians living there, which is weird... but we keep trying to find our Kirby, until we bump into this strange knight. He looks a lot like me, but with a different armor and looking pretty somber and intimidating, and for some reason, I feel a weird gut feeling that he looks the way he is because of something tragic...
...not going to lie, from the looks of it, he seems to have gotten himself in a messy situation before. I have a feeling that this is related to his Kirby somehow and I don't know why.
...is this what I'll probably act like if I didn't stop him during...?!"

HOLY F^CK FUTURE CONTENT + LORE????? IN A KIRBTOBER ENTRY??? AND A CROSSOVER???? WOW??? WHAT'S GOING ON???
Well, I haven't revealed this yet, but by the time of Season 3 (aka the future version of the kiddos, you can see their design here), Bandana is considering the career choice of being a knight. Well, guess which AU also has Bandana as a knight, and also angsty?
...okay maybe not that angsty but Quakey did have an sorta ongoing comic that seems to rear into that category so uh here's obligatory ad for that one
This was a continuation of sorts to an old art trade I had with him, which I haven't posted - I wanted to save it for the next art trade compendium, where I post all my art trades at once (you can see the first and currently only one here)... and I wanted one more AU creator to trade on with me, so we can form the trilogy of "Tech tests an interdimensional travel gadget, gets lost, and finds himself in other universes where his career goes differently than expected" collection. Issue is... I haven't gotten time or space to figure out who I will trade with. There's so little AU creators that want to do so, I'm afraid... but ONE DAY!
Speaking of... what incident is at the final panel, and why is Bandana so terrified that he will be as somber as Pike Knight here? Well, it was the one time our beloved Kirby finally SNAPS due to something that he discovered. Apparently it got terrible to the point he killed someone, and the team barely could contain his rage... No wonder Bandana's so wary regarding Kirby, huh...?
It has been coded by the team as 'the incident'(TM), and remembering it gives everyone chills... But what incident is it anyway? we'll never know unless I somehow get to that point F^CKS SAKE LEARNER DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR DOO DOO AU
...I guess this is making Bandee reconsidering his potential job career... if this comic's even canon... i doubt it will be anyways since crossovers and stuff. i usually like keeping my stuff crossover-free

Even though there’s mistakes here and there, I’m proud of it! The only thing that bothers me is that it came out low quality oops

Shadow’s Family
Long story short... Shadow eventually becomes the king of the Dark World after returning to help those suffering the aftermath of when Vaati and Ganon where there, later naming the newly built kingdom Lorule (It took a lot of convincing for him to actually agree to be king). Along with his brothers helping him, Lilith (a friend and necromancer who also joined in the adventures like Wolf) also helped Shadow get used to his new role and did what she could to help Lorule, which leads to her becoming queen alongside Shadow. Together they had twin daughters.

Circe
Age: 13
Circe is 3 minutes older than her twin sister Saira and her passion is dancing, whether dancing just for fun or performing during events. She mainly uses fire and illusions for her dance performances. Circe has a dragon name Madrik that she hatched from an egg she found abandoned one day.
Saira
Age: 13
Saira is a local heroine in the Lorule (usually saving villagers or small wildlife from dangers) and uses dark magic. There are some occasions where she can use necromancy like her mom but she hasn’t figured out how to control it yet. Saira enjoys going on small adventures during her free time. When too exhausted to use magic, her fairy friend, Riek summons a scythe for her to use to defend herself in battle.

When the series called Birth of a Wish is actually about the story of the birth of a wish (Marx) (its really smart guys)
Bro I was literally just looking at your account and art like four hours ago what kinda witchcraft is this. But keep up the good work, I love how you draw Marx.
Also I love to see you and a ton of people find inspiration in me, especially when it comes to them enjoying my version of Marx because guess what. He’s a reflection of me and my experiences irl.
The realization Castella is a more common word than I thought and I have essentially poisoned at least a hundred if not a thousand minds so that every time they see the word Castella they think of a orb makes me kick my legs and giggle.
But Castella would like cheesecake, I think New-York Style would be her favorite type.
Nextgen Elfilin is either absolutely terrified of you or sees you as a family figure, there is no in-between
Nightmare isn’t Metaknight’s creator, but his influence did have a hand in Metaknight’s creation. Nightmare and his overall power was around waiting in the shadows, and a passing nebula gathered the positive energy from Popstar as well as some of Nightmare’s strange negative energy, giving way to Metaknight’s birth on a nearby planet. So Metaknight is a Light matter being with some of Nightmare’s power in him.
Magolor’s curse tattoos are from the Master Crown which were applied to his body after his initial defeat via Kirby. So the dude literally had to claw his way through Magolor Epilogue with this curse on his body.
I really liked Magolor Eplilogue, it has a good story to explain how Magolor got back to Dreamland as well as some extra hints of lore we haven’t gotten. I enjoy the challenge and how I actually needed to grind if I wanted to beat the final two bosses. And unlike a lot of people’s opinions I’ve seen , the ending is great. It’s one of those “happy but not in the stereotypical happy ending way as there’s still more to conquer” endings. Sadly there was no Marx though, which I was hoping he’d cameo in the epilogue, so a good 8/10 or 8.5/10 for me.
When a Dark Matter being reaches a certain amount of power they do grow into beings like Zero, however to me and in the event of Nextgen Zero2 is a Soul form of Zero, similar to Drawica soul or Marx Soul.
Yep! I’m alive! And I I will continue to be active on this account with Kirby stuff. I may kinda fall off once I graduate from college (which will happen either in 2025 or 2026) considering that’s my jump into real adulthood but that’s a while from now.

What do you mean by Cog inherited Marx's nova eyes? How did Marx get those eyes from nova?
Oh yeah, I guess I should explain some things about how genetics work here.
Marx is a product of a wish granted from a Nova (his parents, a noddy and a scarfy wished for his existence). He has genes from his mom, his dad, AND the nova who created him. Technically Marx brings this up in the next page of BOAW to be posted but I feel you all kinda connected those dots already. Marx inherited the nova’s eyes/eye color plus all his powers came from said nova (so no he did not get his powers from the Nova in SS).
These “Nova genes” are actually inheritable much to Marx’s weird dismay. So Cog ended up getting Marx’s eyes/ eye color which Marx himself got from the Nova. But did not inherit anything else.
Powehi on the other hand, inherited the eyes/eyecolor AND some of Marx’s (aka the novas) abilities. Just how many he inherited is currently unknown though.

hooo boy, a lotta people like Pike and a lot people are sending in asks about him, so I’ll answer some of them here.
So Pike, after taking over the meta-knights likely later went to knock his friend off the throne so he could take control. His grief essentially causes him to think, “I’m the only one who can prevent another major death from happening since I feel responsible for meta dying” type. So yea, a revenge of pike knight is inevitable and I’m hoping to cover that part of the timeline sooner or later.
Pike the edgelord will get his own little character arc. After the revenge of pike thing I imagine I’ll cover what he believes to be redemption in the eyes of his friends. But yeah once bandana hit his adult years the man kinda fell apart.
Hmm…. Pike Knight I image sounds a little gruff, kinda low and thickly, with the way he speaks holding a lot of bottled emotions. Now imagine that detail added onto the voice range of the average Christian white man and that’s pike. I’m not good at describing voices haha. Uh but in terms of others… I’ve always seen Marx with an androgynous Brooklyn/ New York accent (or just the Marx voice in the one reading of the Kirby book that came out recently). And for Meta I just think he’d just sound like Mufasa from the lion king lmao.

I made a wee internet persona for my Tumblr stuff in particular.
Anyways an announcement of my schedule since I’m starting school tomorrow.
Birth of a Wish chapter 2’s first page debuts on the 27th, should have weekly or biweekly uploads depending on how crazy the school year gets.
More nextgen comics, one regarding Papi and one regarding Taranza will be in the works.
idk how often I’ll be posting since I’ll be gone off at school for quite a while, but I’m hoping roughly twice a week or so.

So Marx is the obligatory best friend of Magolor, basically been there for him for a long time and wants to stay by his side when things get hard. Taranza is no longer a sad boy and is a pro at helping others with their problems, especially grief. So a good fellow to go to when death happens. And Susie… is likely going through her own thing with this, I can only assume she feels some form of guilt from the news of meta knight’s death due to her history with meta. She’ll definitely be by Mago’s side tho since the two are very good pals.

When it comes to Elfilin in this Next Generation AU, They typically stay in the forgotten land, aiding the ones who live there and also serving as a form of transportation whenever Kirby needs it (they prolly have phones they communicate with like in the Amazing Mirror). They also visit Popstar on occasion to meet up with old friends. A fun little life indeed…
Also to answer questions about Meta knight in this AU, he is in fact deceased, but honestly Morpho taking his soul is the best ending for him considering that fact that if Morpho had not come for him he would of been taken by the cycle of matter… and Meta knight would not longer exist both in the mortal realm and in the afterlife. His identity would merely be a memory in the minds of those who remember him.

I’ll be visiting some family from another country, so I won’t be posting my own art until mid-July and instead be just reblogging any fanart or art I find really nice.
Commissions are on hold until mid-July

So after Meta’s death, Pike was a bit of a angry bitter fella and ended up causing another Revenge of Meta Knight. So he wasn’t a fan of his friend until he got his ass kicked by Kirby again. Dude mellowed out later on and continued to serve Dedede even after his retirement. I imagine I’ll be making a comic about it in the future.

Okay lore time-
So the cycle of matter is a natural occurrence within all matter. It’s essentially reincarnation inspired by the lifecycle of stars with some extra stuff thrown in.
As an example of the cycle of matter, let’s say we got a little dark matter and that matter gets obliterated by Kirby or something. The remains of that dark matter take a nebula form that floats around and gathers both positive and negative energy. The nebula form is in a state of unconsciousness, so when the rebirthing process happens the nebula state is not remembered. Once a certain amount of energy is gathered, the nebula can start the rebirthing process and become functional matter again. If the nebula gathers mostly negative energy, it becomes a dark matter specimen. If the nebula gathers mostly positive energy, it becomes a light matter specimen (and on incredibly rare occasions, a 50/50 split that results in malfunctions like our boy gooey).
Here’s where I throw in the juicy details. The reincarnation process keeps the soul in a endless cycle of death of birth. The memories of the soul are wiped after each death, leading to the soul never leaving the mortal realm. This is also where Morpho comes in, who is able to pull souls from the mortal realm to the afterlife, and is able to secure the memories and soul of a matter specimen in its current life. Morpho did this to Galacta, as well as Meta Knight in this AU.
Here’s an attempt at a little cycle? or at least how I’m thinking the cycle works.
