I accidentally came out to my mum...

ok so listen, I was watching the news with mum about a festival for the lgbtq+ community (or smthing) and I saw an AROMANTIC pride flag in the background.

Me, being a (Grey-) Aromantic myself I got excited and yelled “MUM LOOK! IT’S THE AROMANTIC PRIDE LFAG!”

She asked what aromantic means so I explained and kinda outed myself in the process, she was fine with it and so I explained why I Identify as (Grey-) Aromantic and how society pushes romance onto us blah blah blah.

She vibed and told me to never be scared to tell me something about myself cuz she will always support me, so I was like “ok well I hope you're prepared for what Ima bout to dump on yo ass” and told her I was on the Asexual spectrum (Autochorissexual to be specific) and that I was Bi, she was chill with it and yea that's it.

I’m happy.

Immunotherapy is a promising new treatment option. However, the immunosuppressive cancer microenvironment must be overcome for immunotherapy to be successful. Here, we present a unique case of spontaneous regression of ovarian carcinoma after septic peritonitis. A 79-year-old woman was diagnosed with stage IIIc ovarian cancer. The omental cake biopsy was complicated by sepsis. Although the patient recovered, her physical condition did not allow further treatment for her ovarian cancer. After 6 months, spontaneous regression of the tumor was observed during surgery. Analysis of the immune infiltrate in the tissues showed a shift from a pro-tumorigenic to an anti-tumorigenic immune response after sepsis. Strong activation of the immune system during sepsis overruled the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and allowed for a potent anti-tumor immune response. More understanding of immunological responses in cases with cancer and septic peritonitis might be crucial to identify potential new targets for immunotherapy.
