the fact that nesta stood up for cassian in front of all the high lords without hesitation when she barely even knew him but cassian won’t even stand up or defend nesta to his friends (and when he rarely does, he gives them that stupid apologetic glance afterwards) when they’re literally sleeping together is just so appalling

Very confused as to how Nesta supposedly failed Feyre when Feyre was never her responsibility?
How was Nesta supposed to protect Feyre when she couldn’t even protect herself? Why isn’t this acknowledged? Why is Nesta expected to take on the role of Feyre’s father or mother and why is Feyre letting this narrative continue?

Elain: My siblings had a fight once and it went like this: Feyre: "Anything that comes out of your mouth is stupid!" Nesta: "Feyre" Elain: To this day I still laugh out loud in inappropriate settings because I randomly think of it

Just a reminder that Nesta never apologized to Feyre face to face for what she did, and the things she thought about and contemplated internally are not a reflection of growth with her relationship with Feyre.
“Nesta isnt feyre shes not gonna use pretty words and apologize” She did with Amren. And Cassian. And Gwyn. And Emerie.
“she apologized through actions!!” I quite literally do not give a fuck that she “sacrificed” the powers she didn’t want and never bothered to learn. And FYI for those who haven’t read that scene in a while, Nesta’s bargain asked the cauldron to show HER how to save Feyre and the baby. Meaning, if Nesta had gotten off of her lazy, entitled, “woe is me” ass, and trained her powers, she could have saved them herself and still have the powers yall love to post about and hype up.
If you like her, good for you. But don’t try to get on my dick talking about how i’m misunderstanding the text, or trying to bring a traumatized woman down, or won’t let someone recover from her trauma. Cause first off, I can dislike that little shit as much as I want. Just like you can dislike Feyre.
I will never understand Nesta stans and they won’t ever understand me. But it is fine for me to not want to move on from her prior actions, there are Rhys antis who still obsess over what he did UtM and that is fine, if it left a foul taste in your mouth and you can’t look at him the same, so be it. Nesta did the same with me. I will never look at her and see what her stans do, I will always remember that Feyre had to hide money from her. I will always remember Nesta telling Feyre that someday no one will remember she existed. I will always remember that when Feyre described herself getting brutally and violently murdered, all Nesta did was make the situation about herself, and tried to shame her sister for her new life. End of story. I don’t care if Nesta becomes a saint of kindness I will still get on this app every day and reblog posts reminding y’all what a piece of shit she was for the first 25 years of her life.

Everytime I start liking Cassian I remember he gifted freaking lingerie to m/or and no I don't care if she requested that gift not to mention he already suspected Nesta was his mate. AND THIS WAS NEVER ADDRESSED.
Oh and he considers m/or his sister now. Quoting Eris here "that they have tradition of f*cking their sisters" like what the ewww
Screw cassian.
I am salty about Acosf all over again.
Nesta deserved so much more 🤧

"I saw how it ate away at Feyre. I still soothed her after she awoke, frantic, from nightmares about that day in Hybern when her sisters had been Made against their will. Nightmares about the moment when Cassian was near death and Nesta was sprawled over him, shielding him from that killing blow, and Elain—Elain—had taken up Azriel’s dagger and killed the King of Hybern instead" - A Court of Frost and Starlight
"Nesta erupted. “You dragged me into this mess, this horrible place. You are why I am like this, why I am stuck here—” Feyre flinched. Rhys’s rage became palpable, a pulse of night-kissed power that tightened Cassian’s gut, every warrior’s instinct beaten into him coming to attention." (Acosf)
If someone trampled on my mate's trauma, I would be angry too. Feyre feels guilty for what happened to the sisters, even though she is not to blame. She is also healing from traumatic events and Rhys knows it.
I really like the first quote too because Rhys makes it clear that whoever killed Hybern was Elain. In fact, Nesta and Cassian would have died if not for her. Too bad no one remembers this during the acosf.

the inner circle locking nesta up and then only letting her out when they need her to do something for them is so funny to me. she’s supposed to be ‘healing’ but then she’s sent out on missions that literally put her life at risk
guess everyone hates nesta until they need something from her!

Let's talk about Sisterhood
Nesta and Elain vs. Nesta and Gwyn
First, let's look at Nesta and Elain's relationship
Nesta was willing to marry Tomas so Elain could be fed and taken care of
Nesta was willing to sell her body on the streets for the money to feed Elain
Nesta was willing to go to Prythian for Elain's safety
After being boiled alive by the Cauldron, Nesta's biggest concern was Elain and the trauma that Elain was forced to endure
During those months after Hybern when Elain was suffering, Nesta stayed by her side. Every. Single. Day. Making sure that Elain was alright and that she didn't kill herself.
The one time that Nesta needed Elain, when Nesta was suffering, all she wanted was for Elain to come with her to some of her favorite taverns. But Elain couldn't be bothered because she wouldn't be comfortable in those taverns.
Elain chose comfortability over Nesta, her sister.
Now let's look at Nesta and Gwyn's relationship
Nesta and Gwyn have helped each other face their fears and their traumas.
Gwyn came to practice, and became a warrior, because Nesta encouraged her to, and then Gwyn was able to encourage other priestesses to join the training.
Gwyn introduced Nesta to the Valkyries, the ribbon, Mind-Stilling, their training and ambush techniques, etc.
Nesta helped give Gwyn the confidence she needed to begin to face Merrill and the world outside the library.
And when Cassian broke Nesta's heart, Gwyn left the library, without hesitation, to go comfort Nesta. Was Gwyn scared? Yes, so scared she almost puked. But she went anyways, because Nesta was more important to her than her fear.
Gwyn chose Nesta, her sister, over her comfortability.
Elain might be Nesta's blood-sister, but Gwyn is her sister in all the ways that count.

So tired of the “Nesta has hurt and wronged so many people” narrative because who are they talking about?
A case can be made for both Feyre and Cassian, sure. While a similar case can be made for their treatment towards her. But that’s literally it.
Rhysand? Please
Morrigan? Get over yourself
Elain? Out of the question
Azriel? Of course not
Amren? I. Wish.
Nesta isn’t the monster you all have made her out to be and she always delivers what she has been served. Treat her with respect and she will treat you accordingly.

I still really hate how Feyre and Rhys condemned Nesta’s home and left no room for compromise during the intervention. If anyone should understand what it is like to have their home taken from them, it's Feyre.
It is so saddening to realize that Nesta lives in a reality where she has never been able to build strong roots anywhere. She has been evicted from several houses because others in power had the ability to force her out. Ranging from debt collectors, Tamlin, Hybern (twice) and now her own sister.
On top of everything, Feyre takes no accountability for her actions and faces no judgement from anyone. Ignoring Nesta’s wants or even considering how she might feel never crosses her mind.
With the few choices Nesta has made in the series, choosing to live in that house was one of them. It may not have been much to Feyre, but it was everything to her. Beyond just overcoming her fear of being submerged under water, I wonder what other small pieces of peace or self-reconciliations she made in that home of hers.
I really wish Nesta (or even the narrative) challenged this decision and the entire intervention and made Feyre see just how much she abused her power and authority over her sister and her life.

Rhysand had an interest behind helping Feyre. not only was he in love with her, Feyre was also the only one who could free him and the other lords of Amarantha. after that, he's sure she's his mate, and she's going to marry an asshole who killed his mother and sister. he literally sees her destroying herself, and he was already in love, dreaming of her, feeling what she’s feeling. Rhysand himself says he wouldn't let her destroy herself, knowing her and knowing her history.
you see, there’s a whole context behing his actions.
I don't know why people act like Rhysand is obligated to have a relationship with Nesta and act the way he did with Feyre. he never called himself a feminist, SJM never referred to him as such and only haters act like he's the leader of the movement and like it's a shame he doesn't help Nesta or kiss her feet. he doesn't have to.
in fact, one of the biggest canon distortions of the Nesta stans is saying that Rhysand was mean to her, when he was cordial but cold. he hardly ever spoke to her, as Feyre asked him not to interfere in her situation with her sisters, so I don't understand their hatred for him. he only starts to face Nesta in ACOSF, which Nesta herself understands, since Feyre is pregnant and Nesta treats her like trash.
