I’ve been sucked into one piece so bad and now really want to make an OC. So I had an idea for a character whose inspired by old maritime/pirate folklore of witches and sea witches.
I’m struggling though with how to go about that. So should it be like a devil fruit thing? Or a friend suggested I just come up with a separate race/tribe like the Kuja? I’m so lost with what direction to take with this 😭
For some info I want to put my OC with the straw hats and want to avoid them just being this insanely over powered person. I did find when researching that some background character from a later arc is categorized as a ‘sorcerer’ but don’t really know what that implies.
Help!!
Hi, welcome to the chaotic world that is One Piece and welcome to my blog!
I really love the idea of making an OC based off of pirate folklore! Sounds like there would be a lot of cool things to do there! The way I see it, you have four options:
Option 1: A devil fruit. I think a Mythical Zoan would be your best bet. Probably a Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea witch. You could put that in One Piece and nobody would bat an eye. Just remember that your OC wouldn't be able to swim. Do you want that for a sea witch?
Option 2: A new tribe/race. This is an option that gives you a lot of freedom because you can pretty much do whatever. You could create a race that has devil fruit style powers as part of their DNA. Oda has done that too. It comes with a few issues though. First of all, your OC's powers wouldn't be unique, because there's a whole tribe of sea witches. This could be good or bad. Second of all, there's a possibility that the World Government or other organizations hunt that tribe down. Once again, this could be good or bad for your story. Maybe this also makes your OC unique again because they're the only one of their kind left? Or at least one of few. This would, of course, have a strong effect on your OC's story and a lot of things that happen to them, so make sure to really consider if you want this.
Option 3: Science. I won't go too much into detail because of spoiler reasons, but incredible things are possible through One Piece science. This would most likely link your OC to a group of people or a specific person who develops said funky science and that's a connection with a lot of lore implications, so you should evaluate if you want that. Implications don't always need to turn into something big, but they can. If this is the option you decide to go for, let me know and I'll tell you more about that science and the people involved, but it will probably contain at least some spoilers, so be warned.
Option 4: It is what it is. I'm not kidding, this is a totally valid option that has been pulled by Oda multiple times. Your sorcerer example would fall under this option, though I believe he hasn't actually been seen practicing sorcery in any canon material. A canon example of this however is a certain woman who, for some reason, can accurately tell the future using a crystal ball. No one knows why. Never explained. And still completely canon. So, if none of the other options speak to you, going "it is what it is" is still a completely valid option.
Maybe as a sort of guideline of how I dealt with a similar issue:
My oldest One Piece OC used to be firmly in the Option 2 category. She's based off of mythology, mostly of Greek Myth, the goddess Selene in particular. Just going "oh yeah, she comes from a race of people who are just like that" worked really well for me for, I dunno, six years? But then a new manga chapter came along with a new lore drop and I thought I'd have to drop my OC's concept for good because it coincided/collided too much with the new lore drop. But then another lore drop happened and I was able to save her through sprinkling in some of Option 3.
The lore drop destroying my concept was purely bad luck. So you'll probably be doing really well with Option 2 if you commit to it. It might take a bit of worldbuilding, but you could also not explain anything. Both works. And if that fails, science can save your butt.
Also, I'm currently working on a new One Piece OC who falls into Option 4, simply because a mermaid being unable to swim would be a little stupid, so I can't give her a devil fruit, and her being involved with funky science just wouldn't suit her character that well. Also, I already kinda pulled that with said oldest OC, so I don't really wanna do it again.
Creating OCs is very situational, but sometimes "fuck around and find out" works surprisingly well or is the only thing that works. Mix and match things together. Run with a certain idea until canon throws a wrench in the works. Adjust things and make stuff up as you go. Sometimes, it's just about taking that first step, the rest will come all on its own.
I hope this helped at least a little. If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know!

The Tyrant Baru Cormorant
Tumblr media
I'm way behind on book roundups, I finished this back in October but never wrote up a final impression because my brain is bad and I am bad. So these thoughts are somewhat less fresh.
The third book in a trilogy that has become a quartet is a tricky place to be. You can kind of see the ghost of an ending in the structure but there are too many threads flung far across Dickinson's seas - the scope has expanded drastically since book 1. I'm glad to say, despite this, The Tyrant is still thrilling, book 2 seemed to wallow in its scope sometimes but here it builds and builds to a final sequence of chapters that layers cliffhanger upon cliffhanger, dangling from a few fingers over the edge you discover the cliff itself is teetering on another greater and itself unstable cliff.
There is no credo about the relationship between truth and hurt to serve as epigraph this time, instead Dickinson relates the true historical tale of Vasco de Gama inflicting nightmarish crimes on the Indian city of Calicut in 1502. Dickinson's project has always been unmistakably anti-imperial, but here he begins with yet a further, sicker truth - the things that will be recounted here are terrible beyond fiction.
Thematically the 2nd and 3rd book are less pure in conception than the first. That terrible sickness and betrayal is tempered by Baru's growth as she learns to become human again. But it renders Dickinson's "working from within" narrative a more thorny. She positions herself as the sole inheritor of revolution & the Brain rightly asks - and what if you fall and lose your memory, what if you die? Baru has no answer. Then the Throne has what it wants, the Mbo begins to succumb. Baru is inoculated against co-operation by her initial tragedy but I still find her methodology is not liberatory. We cannot hope for some maverick senator or Koch heir to machinate the downfall of the USA. It would be absurd to propose. Not that I am asking this to be a manual for revolution but Baru's revelation vis a vis cultural inheritance, the incomparable collective nature of such knowledge is not reflected in her plan. She wants to argue the eugenic value of lesbians theoretically at the Metademe for god's sake. This is ludicrously naive. That is to approach Incrasticism as something actually interested in optimisation rather than reproducing fascist ethics.
Would Dickinson dare to have her fail? That would be an astounding move but then so was the first book's denouement.
Thinking back to the first book there is something, I think that has been lost along the way for me. Baru's final betrayal in The Traitor has such a potent gravitational pull I find my mind in its nauseous orbit even now. Her terribleness, the awesome evil of it is attractive in a way that growth and development isn't. I crave damage, perhaps. Hurt is my literary drug of choice. Growth is often feels less true as The Traitor and The Monster's epigraphs would have us ponder on: it's true because it hurts / if it hurts, is it then true? There is something unsaid, unspent in deciding no longer to live in hurt. But the saying or spending would only be a repetition, a ritual of the imaginary purity of being wounded forever. But lately I feel addicted to that wounding - the hard, drudging work of becoming better lacks the same sugarspun taste of destruction. But we're a little distracted.
I can say decisively in the book's favour that Dickinson is now truly stretching his ideological muscles. Everyone battles with deep, difficult questions - the Brain worries at the distance between sign and signified,
"Maybe gods have no consciousness because they do not need it. Maybe that is why they don't answer prayers. They cannot conceive of the world except as it is."
We are confronted with the question of Iscend - a microcosm of the empire's project. Does she have her own agency? Conditioned from birth for her desires to adhere to the republic's, can she make a choice that we can designate as her own? If we say no, are we saying she has become inhuman, she is wholly lost to the ideology of empire, she can never self-determine? Any person she might grow into would still be a result of that conditioning, the poison of Falcrest runs deep. But this doesn't seem acceptable. So we have to liberate ourselves, as people also indoctrinated since birth into a system of imperialism and supremacy, and try and understand what it means for us to exercise agency.
Further, I cannot really plumb the ethics of Tain Shir - and I don't have enough word limit left to try. Basically: political necessity of destruction? No justice only "asymbolic truth"? Primacy of self-determination?
And over and over again we see character's stuck in Baru's original bind. Any atrocity can and must be justified in the name of the ones already committed, the engine of destruction can never be wound down because that renders it pointless, renders its final ideal hollow:
"And the endless self-deceptive blind guilty quest to justify that false science, so that the suffering and misery remained necessary."
But Baru has finally devoted herself to being alive and I am content with the faux ending for now. A moment of peace and companionship for a mutilated woman, a traitor, a monster, an aspirant tyrant striving to be better.

"I'm her best enemy" Playlist [ PART ONE - Songs 1 to 30]
Tumblr media
Click READ MORE to see the whole list
1. Nemeses (feat. John Roderick) – Jonathan Coulton I mostly see this as being in the Master’s POV.
“Could it be that you need me To keep you out, to run you faster Promise me you'll let me be The one, the worst of all your enemies”
2. Crazy – Burn the Ballroom 12 to Missy. This one is quite cute. He does calls her mad, but we all know the Doctor isn’t exactly the perfect picture of sanity either.
“She had problems with my love connections So she bought me bullets and she made corrections (…) I'd say crazy, doll, but you've got something different I'd say complicated but that's your kind of rhythm I'd say lost and you'd say love
But you're crazy not to see That you're crazy just like me...”
3. Silence – Citizen Shade This kinda makes me picture the Doctor trying to give in and settle down with the Master (any version) while dealing with the inner conflict that they’re far too cruel for their taste.
“I found peace in your violence Can't tell me there's no point in trying I'm at one, and I've been silent for too long”
4. Dangerous Man - Little Dume This alternates between the Doctor’s POV and the Master’s. But you can also interpret it as being 100% about any version of the Doctor, since they do have a dark side.
“Every bone in my body's bad Fire's burning, the skies are turning black They say I'm a dangerous man” “Can you hear the storm's a coming I'm a silver in the lining There's a spark in me They say I'm a dangerous man Better run fast as you can Don't you look back”
5. Under Covers – LeRiche A bittersweet song about two people who had this precious friendship and love for each other, and about how distance can keep it all bottled up but once they give it a chance, they immediately go right back to the start. Just fits them very well, if you picture a happy ending to their relationship.
“I don't know why you're looking for a friend I'm right by your side But out here from a distance You won't look me in the eyes Without your love, I think I could die Then you let me in, we go back to beginnings When we were just friends hanging out on the ceiling We'll laugh about love and how we felt for one another And I love the way we make up under covers”
6. The Scientist – Coldplay A song about longing to make things right again and with little analogies involving science? I mean…
“Nobody said it was easy It's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy No one ever said it would be this hard Oh, take me back to the start”
7. Renegades – X Ambassadors The “They actually stole a TARDIS and ran away together from Gallirey” AU we need so much
“Run away with me Lost souls and reverie Running wild and running free Two kids, you and me And I say Hey, hey hey hey Living like we're renegades”
8. Love is War – American Young I like how cute this song is and yet there is a bit of a dark twist. Fits them.
“Sometimes love is all that can save us Sometimes love can kill a man Yeah sometimes love is a soft touch Or a pistol in your hand Sometimes love is a white flag (...) Sometimes a cannon ball But it's worth fighting for Baby, sometimes love is war”
9. Bury a friend – Billie Eilish (Cover by Pomplamoose) Master’s POV. Can apply to any of their regenerations but I think of Simm!Master the most, since Ten tends to run towards him rather than walk away from him.
“What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me? What are you wondering? What do you know? Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me? When we all fall asleep, where do we go?”
10. Come as you are – Nirvana (Cover by Imaginary Future) Best Enemies, everyone. Master’s POV again.
“Come as you are, as you were As I want you to be As a friend, as a friend As an old enemy (…) And I swear that I don't have a gun No, I don't have a gun”
11. Turn – The Wombats Academy!Era, Doctor’s POV. Theta (Doctor) clearly has a crush on Koschei (Master) and they’re both love being chaotic together.
“I like the way your brain works, I like the way you try To run with the wolf pack when your legs are tired I like the way you turn me inside and out I like the way you turn I like the way your brain works Baby, it's the crazy I like I think I saw the world turn in your eyes”
12. Run – Snow Patrol Master’s POV if he was ever able to be honest about his feelings. Some parts can easily be read as the Doctor’s POV too.
“You've been the only thing that's right In all I've done And I can barely look at you But every single time I do I know we'll make it anywhere Away from here”
13. Maps - The Front Bottoms The Doctor’s POV as their relationship deteriorates after the Academy and he plans to steal the TARDIS and leave Gallifrey and his friend behind. I had to help myself from quoting the whole song because IT REALLY FITS SO WELL.
“There is a map in my room, on the wall of my room And I've got big, big plans (…) You say 'I hate you', you mean it And 'I love you' sounds fake It's taken me so long to figure that out I used to love the taste, I would do anything for it Now I would do anything to get the taste out of my mouth (…) "And what about your friends, Don't you love them enough to stay?" And I say, "If I don't leave now, Then I will never get away." Let me be a blue raft on the blue sea, I'll blend right in”
14. Old College – The Mountain Goats This fits the tiresome, sad, manipulative and draining part of their relationship.
“The warning signs have all been bright and garish Far too great in number to ignore (…) Our love has never had a leg to stand on From the aspirins to the cross-tops to the Elavils
But I will walk down to the end with you If you will come all the way down with me”
15. Like a Staring Contest – The Future Kings of Nowhere Covers the end of their friendship and start of the new enemies dynamic.
“I'm so tired of open warfare When the point of this was to be best of friends (…) When you fall in love as hard And recklessly as you and I do It seems that the final act should have The same intensity as the first scene”
16. Poison and Wine – The Civil Wars Reminds me of 12 and Missy but before Series 10.
“You only know what I want you to I know everything you don't want me to Oh your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine You think your dreams are the same as mine Oh I don't love you but I always will”
17. Genesis 30:3 – The Mountain Goats The mentions of a past relationship and the following lines followed by drums really make me picture this as Simm!Master and Ten getting a happy but bittersweet ending.
“For several hours we lay there, last ones of our kind Harder days coming, maybe I don't mind Sounds kind of dumb when I say it, but it's true I would do anything for you”
 18. Blood Under The Bridge – Frightened Rabbit Could literally be any version, but I picture Dhawan!Master and 13 making amends here, mostly because he might be crazy and frenetic but behind that façade he’s clearly way more tired than she ever will be.
“And it's alright, it's alright It's just blood under the bridge And I'm too tired to fight And you're sick of feeling sick And so am I It's alright It's just blood under the bridge”
19. Even Though Our Love is Doomed – Garbage  Missy’s POV. You can interpret this like her train of thoughts and reflections starting from early Vault days to the last time we see her on-screen. Reluctance, guilt and then the resolution.
“Come a little bit closer I need to understand Why we kill the things we love the most (…) Can you love me for what I've become Love me for what I Said that I would not become 'Cause they don't burn like I do (…) And even though our love is doomed And even though we're all messed up You're the only thing worth fighting for” You're the only thing worth dying for”
20. Starlight – Muse 12 and Missy during the episodes World Enough and Time and The Doctor Falls.
“Now I'll never let you go If you promised not to fade away Never fade away Our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations”
21. Control – Halsey This screams Missy to me, especially since she literally incorporates the character of the evil nanny in her book (The Missy Chronicles) and in Big Finish’s audio dramas.
“I'm bigger than my body I'm colder than this home I'm meaner than my demons I'm bigger than these bones
And all the kids cried out, "Please stop, you're scaring me" I can't help this awful energy God damn right, you should be scared of me Who is in control?”
 22. Enemy – Woodlock End of Academy!Era. Yet another song which reminds me about their early fighting days and the end of their friendship.
This is where it begins At the start of an end I could no longer pretend No more, you walked out the door You’re my enemy
23. Why Can't We Be Friends? – The Academic The title says it all. The lyrics also mention how the relationship is always turning into something new, so I had to associate with the longest friends to lovers to enemies we’ve ever seen on television.
“This world is pointless If you're not here This world is pointless If we're not self-destructing love And it falls and it breaks and it turns into something new And it falls and it breaks and it turns into something”
24. Wish That You Were Here – Florence + The Machine Doctor’s POV, in the days when he regrets leaving Gallifrey for a couple of seconds before turning to occupy his with something else. Because he knows that even if he went back, things aren’t the same and everyone has changed – including him.
“And I never minded being on my own Then something broke in me and I wanted to go home To be where you are But even closer to you, you seem so very far
And it's beautiful but there's that tug in the sight I must stop time traveling, you're always on my mind”
 25. No Light, No Light – Florence + The Machine This one makes me picture the first moment the Doctor realized his friend had changed too much and had to choose between his own feelings and standing for what’s right. This happens A LOT in the show, but I imagine realizing that for the first time was the hardest.
“But would you leave me If I told you what I've done And would you leave me If I told you what I've become No light, no light in your bright blue eyes I never knew daylight could be so violent A revelation in the light of day”
26. Dancing with the Devil – Wolf Gang This alternates between the Master’s POV and the Doctor’s POV.
“If you're the chosen one How does it feel to be loved by no one? If you're the number one Where do you run to? Can you hide behind the sun? You say that there's no oxygen again You're forcing down the lies but you always get your way Something tells me that this was all arranged You tricked me once again”
27. Skeleton Park – Kasador Master’s POV. “You know, back in the day, I'd burn an entire city to the ground just to see the pretty shapes the smoke made” (Missy, in The Lie of the Land, Series 10, Episode 8)
“When the house is on fire Air fills my lungs I satisfy desire From watching all you run Yeah the house is on fire Hear the sirens scream My hands hold the lighter It fits so naturally”
28. Elastic Heart – Longfellow What I love the most about the Doctor (all versions) is how they keep fighting for what is right despite their own feelings being hurt or despite how much it may cause them pain. I love what this character represents, and those lyrics reminds me so much of them.
“Oh why can I not conquer love? And I might have thought that we were one Wanted to fight this war without weapons And I wanted it, I wanted it bad But there were so many red flags (…) Yeah, let's be clear, I'll trust no one You did not break in here I'm still fighting for peace”
 29. Bite Back – The All-American Rejects “You think you've broken me? You'll have to try harder than that” (The Doctor, in The Timeless Children Series 12, Episode 10). Same unbreakable side of the Doctor, but this time she definitively resents it a little more than usual.
“You couldn't break me in the end And such a freedom I enjoy When you're deaf to the sounds you trust If that was all you've got, my friend Then set yourself to disappoint”
30. No Children – The Mountain Goats Listen to me here: this covers the whole “They were married way before they started to hate each other back on Gallifrey” fan theory.
“I am drowning There is no sign of land You are coming down with me Hand in unlovable hand”

Hey Rosy I wrote this to@Abazethe100 too bc I wanna know your opinions, about those "spoilers"with Bellarke split up by the end of season he goes to space and Clarke stays and then five years later he comes back and has a kid with echo I can't, really what kind of soap opera is this nonesense? t100 is not that kind of show, how I said to Anna hope this is a joke, after 4seasons waiting and developing Bellarke, this season they are telling full romantic BC,if they do that a kid?i'm done, thank you
All this speculation is speculation, and speculation based on unconfirmed rumors and spoilers, not the show. But apparently, we’re all as a fandom putting this long range speculation (season 5? we’re on 4.02) over what is actually happening on our screen. How do you judge the writers for telling a story they haven’t told?
STOP.
How does everyone go from, “Octavia doesn’t want to go to space,” into five year Becho space babies?
I wouldn’t even speculate on the promo clips, and now we’re all taking this as truth sent down from on high.
I do literary analysis. I come at it from the story point of view.  Like a writer and reader and english teacher. I have come in here from day one, like, STICK TO THE TEXT ,STICK TO THE SHOW.
I want to talk about character development and narrative arcs and symbolism and allusions and how much better Bellamy and Clarke work together. Science fiction. I want to talk about how the story fits together and what it all means.
And instead I have to deal with this bullcrap that is not on the screen. And is out of context. Unconfirmed. Rumor. Gossip.
Could they go to space? Obviously, they came from space. It fits the rules of this world.
Could they do a 5 year jump. Obviously, they’ve done 3 months, why not 5 years. And that would age the characters up to closer to the actors ages.
Could they do Becho? Obviously. They’re echoing a story where there was a romance already.
Could they separate Bellamy and Clarke? Obviously. They’ve already done it multiple times.
Could they pull a whammy on us and plot twist us into a different story? Obviously, they’ve already done it multiple times.
Could they do any of this?
Sure. It’s fiction. They can do anything.
Does that mean this is the story they’re telling and what will show up on our screen? No.
There are as many reasons why those plot twists do NOT make sense as there are reasons why they do. In some cases the cons far outweigh the pros. If you’re going to speculate, you need to consider the drawbacks to your theories, too.
All those spoilers are unconfirmed and out of context, although there is apparently no way to get away from the damned spoilers no matter how you try because someone is going to force them down your throat.
So here’s how you handle bullshit.
You remember this is a tv show. It doesn’t affect your real life. It’s pretend. What happens on this show is not a reflection of you or the meaning of life. They have full power to yank your story out from under you at any time. You think they’re telling one story, and they, being hollywood types, say, wow, I think I’m going for the dramatic twist NO ONE WILL BE EXPECTING THIS, and tear apart the story for the shock value. Has happened before. Can happen again. That’s what hollywood does.
If that happens, then I take away my speculation that they are wrapping up the show in 5 seasons. Because that is the action of people who want to milk a show that never dies. Like SPN. (which is what I didn’t want.) Hollywood does this.
So is it a possibility, yes. It is.
But here are some other possibilities.
Fake spoiler. Maybe they’re trying to throw us off the track and leaking something that isn’t real. WHAT? THEY WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING THAT SHADY? oh really? They already have, haven’t they? It’s not likely that it’s an intentional fake spoiler, but then again who knows? A lot of the speculation is not likely either.
Narratively, The 100 is full of failed plans. Full of them. They are all set for THIS plan to save their people. MOUNT WEATHER! THE EXODUS SHIP! PEACE TALKS! BUNKER! REBELLION! RUN TO THE SEA! JOIN DANTE’S PEOPLE AND EAT CHOCOLATE CAKE! RUN AWAY TO FIND THE CITY OF LIGHT! PEACE TALKS! THE COMMANDER WILL BE OUR ALLY! THE WARRIOR ARMY WILL SAVE THE DAY! JOIN THE COALITION! LIVE IN MOUNT WEATHER! LUNA WILL SAVE US! ROAN WILL SAVE US! ONTARI WILL TAKE THE FLAME! HYDRO-GENERATOR!
None of these plans worked, they all failed, sometimes catastrophically. So space. Possibility. Possibly a failed plan also. Possibly only partially successful. Possibly part of another plot twist. Possibly part of a secondary storyline. We do generally get two storylines (or three) with two sets. The Ark and Dropship, Mount Weather and Camp Jaha, Arkadia and Polis. Goes along with that Yin Yang thing.
Also possible. They go to space and continue with the narrative arc and story they’ve been telling all along and it isn’t as horrible as people are projecting, and they manage to pull it out and make it satisfying and fit the story and Clarke and Bellamy are still the salvation of their people. Even possible that they do separate them for 5 years and go back to the “two sides need to come together.” Yin Yang again. If 5 years happen off screen, it will be like the season 2 break magnified. The story will pick up again after 5 years. Seems weird to start all over again with a new post apocalypse, but they gave a new apocalypse, so maybe. You lose a lot of momentum that way, but that would be a narrative choice.
BUT WHAT IF THAT’S NOT WHAT YOU WANT!
Too bad.
It’s not your story.
We are along for the ride. We don’t steer the ship. Don’t get attached to the direction you think it’s going or you want it to go because that’s a story that you are telling in your head, not the story that is happening on the screen.
When I say I don’t want to speculate on what this means or what that means or where this is going, what I mean is that I DON’T KNOW. I’m putting together pieces of a puzzle to get a whole picture. But I’m using the pieces that are on the screen. The show as it is.
I can’t take out of context pieces and understand where they go without the rest of the story, and because this show DOES throw us whammies and change everything sometimes, I want to wait to see what plot twists happen and how they set up the season before I start moving forward about what it all means.
I’m not trying to tell the story I want to hear (that’s for fan fiction,) I’m trying to figure out the story THEY are telling. And sometimes it’s hard to untangle your own fears and hopes from what is on the screen. I’m still trying to do that and I’m still trying to stick to the text, stick to the show. Rumors, spoilers, and MARIE are not text.
BUT ALSO, this is a reminder DO NOT GET ATTACHED to one particular ending, one particular outcome, one particular ship, one particular meaning.
The problem I’m seeing here is that all this rumor and gossip seems to TANK the way a lot of us have been reading the show. Outside of plot twists, we’re talking about what the show is saying, it’s main themes and seeming goals. But this is not necessarily so. This show is about apocalypse, so they always want to throw us into disaster tailspins. But that doesn’t mean that the main ideas are lost.
I don’t particularly LIKE the Marie spoiler. I don’t particularly believe the script spoiler. I think the projections that people are making on it all are ridiculous, not because they couldn’t happen, but because they are being considered as near canon when they are only wild speculation. There is too much we don’t know, so WAIT.
Chill the hell out.
Watch the damn show.
Enjoy the characters and the plot twists. Pick up the REAL clues from the REAL show and go one step at a time, instead of leaping over the edge into void.
I don’t know the future. I don’t WANT to know the future.
I just want to watch the show.
