Wandering through the streets of Paris with your lover

Bf!Jaemin x fem!reader

I saw the first picture again and my mind just made up a whole little scenario, there’s a lot of pictures cuz I couldn’t just choose 3 xx

Warnings: none, tooth rotting fluff (hopefully)

I’m back guys after so long 😭😭

The history majors of your college were sent on a school trip to build on your depth studies. Upon your arrival, you were to stay at a 5 star hotel, where your uni reserved two entire floors, for a split off between boys and girls.

Exhausted from trecking all your bags up the stairs, your eyes lazily lulled shut mid conversation with your friends, your night routine being absent from tonight as you’re still wearing your day clothes. Though it’s a good thing to get some rest, as tomorrow at 11am, you are to tour the Louvre museum with your class.

But someone had something else in mind.

It’s approximately 2 hours past curfew, 11:09, when a knock on the door interrupts your sleep. “Y/n you get it” one of your friends say through an exasperated sigh. Though annoyed, and wanting to protest, you were far too tired. You open the door through a yawn, and as you open your eyes, you’re met with none other than your boyfriend, Na Jaemin.

Ready to make a scene and shout at him for being here past curfew when your professors room is only 2 doors down, he is quick to put his hand over your mouth and snake an arm around your waist to pull you out of your room, lightly closing the door behind you. “Shhh you’re going to wake them up” he says with a feigned serious tone, looking around, before locking eyes with you and smiling.

“Na jaemin what the fuck” you say in a whisper as he releases you of his hold.

He responds with a bright grin and his hand interlocking with yours, dragging you through the corridors, with his back to you. You pull back on him, “what are you trying to do?” He responds by turning back around to face you, holding your other hand “don’t you want to explore the city of Paris with your lover” he says tilting his head.

“If we get caught, we’ll be in serious trouble, we’re going out tomorrow anyways.”

“It won’t be the same, we’re only going to be twenty, sneaking out past curfew to wander the streets of Paris once baby” he says in a convincing tone trying to coax you into getting into trouble with him.

“You’re such a hopeless romantic Jaemin” He smiles more, slowly walking backwards, his hands still holding yours. “Only for you.” You roll your eyes, letting go of one of his hands to walk next to him “fine Just this once” you say with a grin “I mean, I don’t see us being in this situation ever again” he deadpans.

“How did you even get out, and all the way up here, they made us five floors apart for a reason”

“I ran up here,I left my room at 11, climbed five flights of stairs for you baby”

Taken aback all you can do is stare at him in awe

He smiles and pinches your cheek, “stupid, there’s an elevator right there, what five star hotel wouldn’t have one?” He says leading you to the lift.

You suddenly feel embarrassed, having flashbacks to the staircase of hell you and all the girls faced to get up here.

“Anyways, what’s the plan lover boy” you say as you exit the hotel, “will they even let us back in?”

“That’s what makes it fun does it not? I don’t have a plan, but that’s the whole point. I didn’t see you at dinner, you hungry?” He puts out his arm, inviting you to link arms with him.

“You know me soo well” you say linking arms with him as you leave the hotel, into the night.

'You know, I think I like you'

What it would be like to be best friends with Jeno ( who secretly likes you)

Disclaimer, I'm not claiming I know anything about them, this is pure fiction for fun :)

• Your friendship is almost like a sibling relationship

• Like twins

• Not in a weird way, you two just act like you are

• You always look out for eachother,

• Will always stand/sit next to eachother

• Move in sync and sometimes say things at the same time

• Bicker a lot and share the same mannorisms

• It's just because you two hang out so much and you soak up eachothers personalities like sponges

• So you're both kinda a mix of Y/n and Jeno

• It's gotten to the point where your friends (the dreamies) question it

• 'Theres no way you two didn't grow up together'

• Despite the sibling dynamic, theres always some sort of tension between you two

• Too many almost kisses to count

• And shyness every now and then

• Jeno is overprotective of you

• A hand behind your back in crowded places

• If you ever pop to the store real quick during a group hang out, you'll always bring the other their favourite snack

• 'Im jealous, why can't Y/n bring me food everytime she goes to the corner store like she does for Jeno' - probably haechan

• 'Theres obvious favouritism here'

• He's probably the person you call when something bad happens

• 'Jeno, I've just bumped the back of this persons car wtf do I do'

• 'Jeno I need to take my car to the mechanic please can you come with me'

• 'Jeno theres a cockroach under my bed!'

• 'Theres no more icecream in my fridge'

• No matter how ridiculous it is, he'll come running

• You and jeno probably end up on the same side in group arguments, not because of eachother but because you both agree with the side you're on and more the less think the same

• You two have matching shiba inu plushies, his is the black one and yours is the orangy beige one

• Tries to get you to be active with him, will try to make it fun,

• 'If you go on this 1 hour bike ride with me, I promise I'll get you food after'

• 'If you hike this hill with me, and make it all the way to the top, I'll buy you your favourite expensive meal everyday for 2 weeks BUT if you fail, you have to join me on my wednesday morning jog everyweek for 2 months'

• His over protectiveness took new heights when you got pushed to the side by an old man trying to get to his bus late at night

• And his idea of a solution was to hold your hand at all times

• Which slowly shifted from late at night coming home from the gaming cafe you all stay at late at night

• To the grocery store

• To school and the cantine (if u want to imagine you 're in school / uni)

• Essencially, he started holding your hand everywhere

• For safety, because you always are losing your balance

• That's a logical solution right?

• As long as it's not infront of the dreamies it's fine right?

• Until one day you two showed up to your meet up spot, holding hands

• 'Somethings not right here, Jeno and y/n came here TOGETHER, HOLDING HANDS!?'

• 'Well maybe we did'

• Jeno just shrugs, not letting go of your hand despite your loosening grip

• As you guys are just walking around, Jeno would just turn to you and say

• 'You know, I think I like you'

• Leaving you in absolute SHOCK from the sudden confession

• The thing about Jeno is that he's a very direct person

• He doesnt beat around the bush with things that are important to him

• And he's willing to put in the work for however your relationship changes

Mario Kart 10137.5

Warnings : MARIO KART (this story heavily describes a game they play of mario kart, howerver it's all in relation to HC and well, you :) alternating from game description to your reactions), slight swearing (like 2 words), hitting (with pillows😭), FLUFFFF, reader and Haechan bicker and joke a lot

Get it! 10137.5! 101 cuz thats like the teaching number or something then its haechans viewer rating I'm so smart

You and your boyfriend Haechan got nintendo switches together and he's recently been obessed with Mario kart and you ,being his s/o , ooobviously have to play it with him.

The only problem is, you're absolutely terrible at it so he has to teach you how to play before he can even allow you to play with him and his friends (Johnny, Jisung and Jeno). You have no interest in playing with his gaming squad who's names all suspiciously begin with the letter J. But the main driving force which got you sitting on his bed with the controler( that he bought for you for his house) in hand was the determination to beat him after you came 12th (last place) out of him and all the cpus (basically computer players, you play against but theyre not actual people).

Instead of him explaining to you all the controls and the game, he decided that the best way for you to learn was to throw you into the deepend on the fastest race mode with cpus. You two were going to play 12 matches, with the last one predetermined by Hyuck as 'rainbow road' (every mario kart players worst nightmare). You begin to choose your characters and haechan chooses Bowser because you said he looks ugly and scary. You choose Rosalina (because you have taste of course) and she was one of the only human characters available 😭😭

Hyuck starts the tournament and you two with all of the other cpus are all lined up in a straight line.

2! Haechan starts holing down one of the buttons on his controller

Go!

Everyone speeds off ahead of you leaving you in last place, in the first 5 seconds

'THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENCE WHAT' You exclaim already ready to quit the game, he leans over you to move your thumb over the A button on the right side of the controller and explains that you have to hold down A when it says 2! to in order to accelerate.

Out of rage you restart the game and you're back to the begining, but now you have that trick up your sleeve, nothing can stop you! 3, 2, you audibly press A, 1, GO! Now you're zooming off with everyone else and a victorious grin displays itself on your pretty face knocking Haechan from 1st to third cuz he's lowkey whipped for you as you chaotically purposefully bash into other cpus, you were 8th place making your way to the top ' I'm coming for you' you annouce which he just scoffs in reply.

A few miles ahead, there are these floating boxes which you avoid and run over the speed up as you think that they were something bad, only to see Haechan shoot right through it. Regardless, you were ahead of him. 'What's that' you ask as you see the wheel of different powerups spin at the top of his screen, it lands on a red shell 'wanna find out?' 'Go on then' you reply unimpressed. He makes his way over to you and throws the red shell which follows your kart until it hits your character and stops you in your tracks, taking you down four ranks in the leaderboard as the other players unnessicarily throttle themselves into your helpless character. 'WHAT WAS THAT FOR!' 'DID YOU NOT WANT TO SEE WHAT IT WAS' you roll your eyes but start grinning cheekily as you just recieved your powerup which was a green shell, you somehow caught up to him and threw it at his character only for it to bounce right off of a random object that was apart of the map and hit a player behind you. Your face filled with horror and dissapointment 'What the fuck was that' 'green shells go anywhere, only red shells target the person directly infront of you. ' 'all of these rules are pissing me off, what is this game' you say rolling your eyes in frustration while leaning your whole body into the screen to focus.

Haechan is back at first place and you hear an almost whistle noise as his character finishes the 3rd, final lap of that course, leaving you dumbfounded as bowser does a disgusting celebration animation around the track that Haechan replicates to get a reaction out of you. Which you retort by pushing his face away from you and starting the next match.

9 lost matches later, you've given up on winning through skill, you're willing to anything, absolutely anything to beat this jerk. You have to play dirty, super dirty. So, when the game starts, you ready one of Haechans pillows in your hand. 3! You smack him across the face with the fluffy pillow and almost like a movie feathers come out You quickly grab your controller and hold the A button to accelerate at 2!, 1! Haechan presses accelerate too late at GO! He's left in your dust, smoke coming out of his engine as he's stationary for 2 seconds for accelerating to late meanwhile, you're in steady 3th place. 'WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM' you stick your tongue out as you tokyo drift around the corner and secure 2rd place.

Climbing the ranks, you throw a red shell atthe cpu who was in 1st place making you! FIRST PLACE! With only a few seconds before your beautiful victory which was only 10 races late, this being your 11th. As the finish line is in sight, you're thinking about the funny annoying victory line you're going to scream in his face; 'maybe you could be better than me one day' no 'I was only warming up' no 'you're lucky I let you win, the first 10 matches'; when he lets out a small, evil chuckle. That wasn't a good sign, not from Hyuck.

He was in 2nd place right behind you and hadn't used his powerup from his mystery box yet, you just assumed it was something useless like a banana peel or something until, just as you're about to cross the finish line, you're character has this flying blue thing over her head and a loud warning siren is ringing through the speakers until a large blue cloud of an explosion engulfs your screen and the wicked laugh haechan had been hiding comes out in full fury. 'LEE HAECHAN' He's wiping a tear away from his eye as Bowser crosses the finish line doing that annoying animation which he soon copies in your face, pissing you off even further. 'Blue shells fly straight to the 1st person in the race regardless of what rank you are in! Har har har' he says in a mocking tone.

Consumed with genuine anger, you take it out on him by repeatedly hitting him with the pillow that was previously fired at his face, standing on your knees as he's curled up in a ball before finding his feet and grabbing another pillow, which basically turns into a pillow fight between the two of you. You grab two pillows and tightly shut your eyes as you windmill hit Haechan picturing bowser as you do so only until you notice you're not landing any hits. You squint your eye to see only a glimpse of him leaping at you with his arms reaching your middle until your head hits his bed. You're laying on your back with haechan ontop of you 'I didn't realise you'd actually get mad.' He says as he attempts to place wet kisses on your cheeks while you try to push him away 'GROSS HAECHAN' was all you could make out between your giggles, you couldn't be mad at him. "I'm sorrrrrrry" he coos "sorry for what" "sorry for being better at you in mario kart!" He beams as he starts doing bowsers dance again, recieving another pillow to the face.

• (Like movie night, cooking together, junkfood day, game night)

• Alternating whos house you'd be at each time

• You somehow accidently tripped him up

• He somehow convinces you that you owe him icecream

• Acts like you two are in a relationship

• Will run and hug you while spinning you around [without fail] everytime he sees you

• Forces you to do game night which you let him do because you like him

• Will gladly carry you in any game even if you're horrible

• Or forced you into giving him keys somehow

• Comes to your house in the middle of the night when you're literally fast asleep

• You would just get a random message or call where he just says 'I'm outside'

• Or just knocks on your bedroom door because he let himself in

• 'Hyuck, wtf are you doing at my house, it's 2am'

• Would walk past you and go straight to your bed

• "I couldn't sleep, your bed is much warmer than mine"

He says as he snuggles into your fluffy pillows and and takes in your scent

More than friends? Pt 2 - Best friends to lovers

This is a part 2 of the it’s complicated series’ Jaemin part (part one), but this is pretty much stand alone <3

Warnings: none really. Girly pop Jaemin, Kdrama-like-cheesyness, shy Jaemin (at the beginning *lol*), emojis in my writing 😁, although it’s quite short, I’d say it’s slow burn, lots of beating around the bush, one off dick joke, minimal swearing

Genre: bestfriend!Jaemin x Gn!reader, best friends to lovers. Tooth rotting fluff, crack fic kinda (a lot of bickering)

It was an ordinary day meaning an ordinary hang out at Jaemins place with him and his friends who, a this point were your friends too. Jaemin had been quick to his feet to get some meat for a barbecue (after you had said you were craving ribs) along with Jeno, and Jisung who had tagged along for snacks; leaving you with Chenle, Renjun and Mark as Haechan was arriving later.

“ Y/n, I know that we've kinda asked this question before, but we wanna like reaaally discuss it this time” Mark starts with his hands clasped, thumb rubbing over the back of his hand. “Have you ever like, with Jaemin like, have you ever-“ “seen him as more than a friend?” Chenle cuts him off eagerly, Renjun staring at you with anticipation. “Uhmm, what does that mean?”

Truth is, you hadn't actually really thought about it. It's only at times like these when one of these three slyly ask you these types of questions, only then is when you really think back on your relationship with Jaemin. 'Y/n, really think about it okay.’

He's a really reliable person, call him and he's there for you, whenever you need. When you're hungry, or when you've had a bad day at work, or a bad week, just wherever a pick me up hang out sesh is in order. Even when you don't need him, he's there, invading your personal space or in your kitchen cooking food. In other words, you really trust him and he's someone really special and important to you as you want to be the person he can rely on too. A shoulder to lean on. Someone you can always count on.

How he would always offer to pick you up from work or to just be your chaperone in general. The activities he books for you two, How he put his hands over yours while you were making pottery mugs. Not just your booked activities but things you two do together, buy groceries together, head to the market together he'd even go with you to any cosmetic appointments like nails,a hair cut, being your hair done, no matter how long because he loves you (but you still remain oblivious.)

"Hmm well, he might make a good boyfriend..

They're all almost giving you deathglares at this point a really good boyfriend" "aaaaaaaand?"

"And? We're just friends, I know that how he sees it, he's just that nice to everyone, thats jow jaemin is." "YIn, what are we going to eat today?" Renjun deadpans "who shot up out of their seat and threw their shoes on as soon as you said you were craving Barbecue meat" chenle adds "Be so serious Y/n..

Truthfully, the possibility Jamin ever liked you never crossed your mind, you just thought he was kind to everyone, which is why you refrained from seeing him in that way.

"Would you kiss him?" Mark questions while smirking and raising his eyebrows.

Would you kiss Jaemin? You thought to yourself covering your face out of shyness, Thinking back to the times you'd see his teasingly try to kiss jisung and everyone else when teasing, skipping you (out of respect) only wishing you'd be included too. Thinking back to the vlogs he'd take randomly in the day and send to you where half his face takes up the whole camera when you notice your lips drifting towards his as his soft voice ambiently rambles on in the background of your chaotic thoughts innocently going on about what this old lady said to him in on the way to work.

You uncover your eyes only to be met by Haechan right in your face, lips puckering. "EW HAECHAN GROSS" you say whacking his head to the side. "Everyone THIS is a NORMAL REACTION to thinking about kissing your bestest friend in the world, not that minute long evaluation" haechan goes on to explain after conducting his research. “Ok y/n you're not fooling anyone, it's so obvious you like him" Renjun blurts out. "But it's ok, we're here to help, we're not going to tell him anything, we're here to support you Y/n" Chenle adds. "I'm afraid if you don't take our Jamin off of us, no one will" Haechan says faking tears. "yeah man, that dude hasn't even held hands with anyone before-" Renjuns hands is flying to marks mouth at that pin point "we're supposed to be hyping him up" he says massaging his nose bridge out of stress.

Little do you know, Chenle has been recapping your whole conversation, taking notes of your body language in their groupchat Y/n and Jaemin K-1-S-S-I-N-G' with Chenle, Mark (because he begged to be added), Renjun, Hyuk and Jaemin

*what a liar*. So Jamin knows what's going on, and throughout the conversation, the 4 sitting in-front of you had been slyly messaging in the groupchat, and when Jaemin, Jeno and Jisung get home, it's time for phase two of their self curated plan.

Jaemin sits down on the other side of the couch next to you while Jeno stands over the nearest couch to the door, Jisung sits right im between you two to show you the snacks he got meanwhile the original for audibly sigh, slap their foreheads and roll their eyes (this is why Jisung wasn't added to the g) they all get up, Mark signalling to Jeno to go and Chenle grabbing Jisung by his hoodie and dragging him out.

God, what's going on, what have they done your thought to yourself as you're left in the room with a very nervous Jaemin.

Jeno had gone to start the barbecue, Jisungs probably in the basement playing games and who knows where everyone else is.

After an unusably long moment of silence, Jaemin takes a breath and goes "do you want to go out to the patio dining area?" You agree and the two of you are now outside, on your backs opposite each other on his garden chairs, staring at the stars.

The sky is clear, with the faint smell of the barbecue and smoke in the distance, and the crickets chirping. It's a good day today, what a relaxing way to end it. "Hey" he says, "hey" you say turning to look at him who's already looking at you. You guys are never this awkward. What's going on.

"Let's finish this conversation another time" he says swiftly getting up, heat rushing to his cheeks.

You get up following suit "let me see what Jenos doing" he exclaims preparing to run away; but before he can you grab his wrist, spinning him back around. "Why should we continue it later?"

You ask.

"Because." "Because what" "it's too

hard" "what's too hard?" You say in disgust, taking a step back "NOT LIKE THAT GOD Y/N" he screams swinging his hands to his head gripping his hair while crouching down. "I'm joking" you say giggling to yourself. Shooting back up "it's that" he says pointing at your smiling mouth. You just look up at him confused and he does a little 360 spin of frustration. " listen, let's talk another time he says turning back around to go to Jeno, which you only grab his wrist and spin him back round. "Don't want to" you tease as he covers his face.

“You're too much for me, I don't know how much longer I can do this" he sighs "DO WHAT!?" « CAN'T SAY!" "WHY NOT" "BECAUSE | SAID SO!???"

"Na jaemin you drive me crazy"

" DRIVE YOU CRAZY!?" he laughs pointing to himself and you as he says each pronoun, wiping his forehead and turning around, laughing at what you just said.

*You can't even imagine what I'm going through" he says as he runs his hands through his hair

"THEN JUST TELL ME!!???" "NEVER" you push him onto the couch and get on top of him, holding him by his collars "Na Jaemin I swear to god" *if you don't tell me right now I'm going to lose my mind" you say holding up your fist at him who's shielding his face.

Meanwhile

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE GOING TO KILL HIM I CAN'T WATCH" Haechan exclaims covering his eyes yet peeking through the gaps *SHUSH THEY'RE GONNA HEAR YOU" Renjun whisper shouts. I can't believe he only lived until 22" he says wiping his fake tears *if I knew this was how it would turn out I wouldn't have said the things I said" Mark cries, with genuine tears "dude are you seriously crying?" "SHUT UP LOOK LOOK LOOK"

". fine.. I'll tell you..... if you get off of me"

You agree, releasing him, standing with your arms crossed "shoot'

"So I-* he runs away before he finishes, instinctively you run after him, tackling him to the ground when you catch up to him.

Both breathing frantically, hearts beating fast as you land on top of him, hovering over him, just staring into each others eyes.

"What is it" you whisper, curiosity eating you alive

"Fine, l'lI tell you" he whispers matching your tone, looking down at your lips and then back to your eyes.

“Y/n" he pauses, looking back at your lips then to your eyes, “I think, I like you" he says in his low whisper voice, his voice sounding like honey dripping down your ears.

Everything about this is perfect wow. Your heart has been beating abnormally fast for too long to blame it on the running you did moments before.

You two just stare at each other for a while, your elbows now reaching the floor, your hands delicately above his head grazing his silk strands, his hands on either side of his head.

"Am I being rejected?" He smiles responding to your silence.

"no.”

"do you like me as much as I like you?" "maybe."

"Can I kiss you?"

"Yes"

His hand delicately holds your jaw, your eyes fluttering closed as he brings his head up off the ground to join your lips together, in a short, sweet kiss. He draws back slowly opining his eyes, and you follow suit. His lips form into a wide grin, and you pinch his cheeks,he just stares back at you, with joy filled eyes.

"So can you get off of me now?" "Hm?" "I said can you get off of me now?”

He repeats again in a teasing way, tickling your sides, you roll over squealing to lay on your back next to him, staring up at the sky, heart swelling with happiness. I can't believe he likes me.

Your sweet moment is soon interrupted by Jamins balcony door opening to see Renjun, Chenle, Haechan and Mark come out cheering 📣📣

"JAEMIN YOU'RE SO COOL!!!!" You hide your face in the crook of Jamins neck. *Jaemin what are we Haechan screams cooing, imitating your voice to which you put your fist up and he hides behind Renjun. "Man I wish Jeno was here to see this" mark sighs " who said I wasn't he comes out of the barbecue section on the side of the house with his phone on record mode. Only making the situation ten times worse.

"Jisungs too stupid to understand this, leave him out of this" Chenle grimaces. "RIGHT, EVERYONE ASSEMBLE ON THE PATIO FOR A CELEBRATORY BARBECUE" Haechan shouts from the balcony while Chenle messages Jisung that there's food.

You're now all seated at the outside seating area, enjoying the barbecue that you so rightfully suggested, noticing Jamins eyes constantly on you, which you chose to ignore. But every time your eyes meet, you just feel more and more queasy, lovesick and you need a break. His smile only grows more and more from ever dirty look and action you make trying to get him to stop looking.

"So can I be your boyfriend?" Jaemin blurts out across the table, Jisung in shock.

"OOOUUU JAEMINNN" everyone but Jisung coos

"Yeah,I guess" you say looking down at your lap, Haechan beginning a group applause.

"Damn, she stole my bitch" Jisung sighs

"Jisung you're actually so cringe" Renjun sighs

"Never say that ever again" Chenle adds.

Jaemin as your brother who’s 3 years older than you

Hello my lovelies, I took a short break but I’m back and tackling all your requests, don’t be afraid to send me more but I think as we all know atp I can get very carried away with requests 😭😭😭

Anon I hope you enjoy this one, I never really know what to write with members as your brother but I tried my best 😭😭🤍

He’s a really good older brother, 100%

He takes the role of being your older brother very seriously,

Talking the responsibility of taking care of you and setting a good example for you (sometimes)

Someone’s bullying you? Fight with your friends? Bring them he says

He’s not going to fight them or anything, but try to resolve the issues between the two of you, or if necessary, get your school to listen to you by dragging you to the principals office

He’d literally hide a body for you

If you’ve ever done something, he’d be the first person you’d call

Even if he can’t do anything, his reassuring words would be worth it

Type of sibling to just walk into your room just to annoy you

You’d just be peacefully scrolling on tiktok

Then this guy walks in and starts singing to you or pinching your cheeks

If he ever goes out with his friends to get food, without a doubt, you’ll receive a ‘do you want anything’ text

You’d go to the kitchen at 3am and find him there and you’d both start laughing

He’ll find out something you like and keep buying it for you until you’re sick of it *lol*

Once you two are in college/university

He’d make sure to steer you down the right direction, all the dos and donts

Help you move into your dorm, choosing the best student plan for you (how you pay off your student dept), just in general helping with your student finances as he’s good with money

Can’t cook in uni? He can so you’re sorted

When you first move into your apartment, you’ve got only 2 things in your fridge and that’s 2 large lunch boxes, one from your carer/close relative, the other from Jaemin

By the time you get to uni, if he’s done a standard course, he’d probably be graduating the year after, so he’d try to make all the memories while he’s still there

Forcing you to come with him and his friends to the football games

Even if he nor any of his friends played

Introduce the professors to you during the first week you’re on campus

Going to first year parties to embarrass you

Overall, he’d be very present in your life, and you don’t know how you could do it all without him, he has (many) goofy moments, but he really steps up to being your older brother, taking care of you
