I had the absolute joy of commissioning the amazing @redreart for this incredible piece of Micah when she's giving up being a deputy and turning herself over to join the Project and be with John again, for keeps this time.

I could not be more blown away or more happy with how it came out. It's absolutely perfect. <3 I can't recommend anything higher, so if you get the opportunity, do it!

And if you'll indulge me, below the cut is a snippet of the scene from my still unreleased fic.

"You barged in here shaking and dripping like a wet dog! Will you fucking tell me why you're here ruining my furniture, my clothes, my-"

"Yes." She shifted against him, clutching at the collar of his shirt. "Yes." She gazed straight into his eyes with a smile trembling on her lips.

For the first time in years, her eyes were the vast open golden meadow he remembered. No more shadows, no more suspicion or anger. Only the shine of gold flecks dancing through the green irises. Open windows.

He cupped her face with his hand and lifted one eyebrow. "Micah..."

She tightened her grip on his shirt, crumpling it and risking tearing it. "I'm here. No more badge. No more Resistance. No more..." She sighed and slid her finger over his skin, tracing the scar on his chest. "Yours. I'm saying 'yes.'" She hesitated. "I only have one condition."

His eyes narrowed. "Conditions? That's not-"

She dropped her head and buried it against his neck. He felt the hot rush of her tears on his skin. "Jacob. Keep him away from me. I want to be yours again, John, but I need..." She stopped and looked up at him. She dragged her tongue over her lips, her breathing suddenly shallow and ragged. "Keep me safe from him. It's the only thing I ask."

How I feel about this character

QUEEN literally

I like Emily a lot, she's a chaos gremlin and I 🤝

I love that we’ve seen her grow from a scared little kid watching her mother get murdered into this fierce maelstrom of a woman, she’s so cool I love her.

I really really like her detachment from the throne, like her training with corvo, her running around the rooftops at night, it’s like there’s something calling to her, pulling her away from her duties and be free. She’s in this cage of duty and obligation to her people, but she doesn’t want to be there.

Poor Emily, most rulers get time to grow as people before having the throne thrust upon them, but not for her. She watched her mother get murdered, during a plague that killed a substantial amount of her people, during a tumultous coup that siezed her throne. That alone is a lot to deal with, nevermind her then being thrust onto the throne with the expectation that she’ll just fix this huge mess - at the age of 10! I know she would have had Corvo as Lord Regent, but still she was the figurehead. She represented hope and idk that’s a lot to live up to.

Alexi, my beloved 🥺 I'm also down for some Emily/Alexi/Wyman because sometimes you gotta share the love.

Billie!!! I love love love an Emily takes off and vibes on a boat with Billie instead of taking back the throne AU. Daughters of the Marked gang!

ALSO! Grandad Sam and Aunt Callista, Arkane please. Please give me happy family vibes. Let me think about Emily recovering from the trauma of the first game with her new family 🥰

My unpopular opinion about this character

Not sure if this is unpopular as I've seen some posts about this making the rounds buuuuut Emily is a terrible ruler and she shouldn't have taken back the throne. She hates it, she's bad at it, and her shitty rule is hurting the people of the Empire.

Time for a democracy.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Giving up the throne and creating an elected governement to rule in her place. Let her be free.

Also more interactions with Billie! And for Billie to be pardoned and not a wanted woman?? Wtf Emily??

OH and to acknowledge the Daud audiograph?? I don’t understand why there’s just no reaction from her or Corvo on that one? It would have been fun to see something.

What's your favorite OPT/OT3 or whatever ship ya like?

(I rambled, as always. If my own thoughts don’t make sense, then fuck, I don’t know how to word it differently) Enjoy XD

My mind is pretty much constantly thinking about YYH stuff, so that’s all I can think about right now. I have a lot more to read but this is all I have in mind for now.

So, the OPT is going to be a fight between Hiei/Kurama and Hiei/Yusuke. It’s incredibly hard to decide because they both have very specific traits and interactions that sort of rival each other. (I’m talking about mainly sexual stuff here because that’s what I have on my mind right now, hehehe)

I always sort of picture Kurama as this suave type of guy who tries to make the most out of everything and takes his pure sweet time. It may be an irritating trait from what I’ve read so far because, “hey, clock’s a-ticking, redhead!” :U but I think he could show Hiei that everything they do doesn’t have to be over in a couple minutes. 😘

As for Yusuke, I see him more as the type to get down to business (to defeat the huns), and just seems to drop whatever he’s doing to take care of Hiei. And Yusuke just seems like this caring sort of guy who doesn’t always care about his needs when Hiei feels the need to ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) get his frustrations out.

Both OTPs may be somewhat similar, but they just have different ways of taking care of their beloved murder gremlin :3

And as for an OT3… hmmm, I’d need to do a lot more reading that involved threesomes because I’ve only read one so far for YYH. That one involved Youko Kurama, Hiei, and mazoku!Yusuke. So, that one is easy because I don’t have to choose sides and whatnot. They also pretty much sated Hiei for the entire week and he’s most likely thankful he got what he needed from his two favorite lovers.
