I think he was low-key caught off-guard and proud at the same time.

(Lets face it Jimin ATE that song and even mimicked Yoongi's EXACT movements/gestures from the video. He wasn't just goofing around while singing, he had A MISSION to nail that performance)

I wonder how they split up Becky and J-Hope’s parts in CNS? I think the line distribution was pretty good, but JK and Jimin could’ve, maybe, switched parts? 

I understand why Jimin got Becky G’s rap verses - he had the vocal tone and the sassiness for it. But, Jimin doesn’t feel very comfortable rapping and you could tell in the performance (I felt that he was too hesitant and missed a few notes?).  Jungkook, however, wouldn’t have had that issue. 

As for Jungkook, the chorus parts did suit his vocal tone, and he had the attitude to pull it off too - except some of the notes were out of his range and he sounded like he was struggling. Jimin, on the oher hand, would’ve hit them no problem.

I think Jungkook got both choruses because he’s the main vocal and his vocals fit, and because Jimin’s voice fit Becky’s rap better. Yet, Jungkook is undoubtedly a better rapper than Jimin and Jimin could’ve reached those high notes more easily... Honestly, neither was a perfect fit. Jimin and Jungkook’s vocal tones fit the parts they were given, but Jimin gets shy when it comes to anything resembling rap, and Jungkook’s range, as high as it is, wasn’t high enough for the “So now that you know that / Let me see you” (though he struggled a bit even before that).

Lastly, I guess they didn’t want someone comfortable with rapping to do those verses? Because Taejin were followed by Suga and Jimin followed RM, so maybe they wanted the contrast between experienced and inexperienced rappers? Jungkook may not be at the rap line’s level, but he would’ve been confident and experienced enough to pull off Becky’s rap in CNS.
