As you may or may not know, local elections were held in Türkiye today. Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana, Antalya, Mersin, Eskişehir, Denizli, Manisa, Balıkesir, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, Adıyaman, Kırıkkale, Aydın, Muğla, Çanakkale, Uşak, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Bolu and lots of other cities chose Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, Republican People's Party. Turks are showing their reaction to the ruling party in the best way, with democracy. They are pissed, they are sick of this, and they want a better management, it was a clear signal. This was a revolution, a milestone in the Turkish democracy, an unforgettable day in the Turkish history. I'm so, so happy for my Turkish brothers and sisters. I lived in Istanbul for 4 years when I was younger, and this election made me want to go to Türkiye again. I love Türkiye and the Turks, they are amazing people and the country is fascinating. It's almost like my third homeland after France and Italy, I feel very connected to it. I only hope it will be even more amazing 4 years later when the presidential elections will be held, and I know by heart my dear brothers and sisters will make the right, better choice for their country.
