Lake Katwe, an ancient salt lake in the South Western part of uganda in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is substantial for Salt mining and the miners use old traditional methods.For salt to be extracted, Evaporation in the dry season, makes saline water of Lake Katwe to concentrate making a hyper solution that forms salt. The salt lake is naturally meant to be an animal 'referral hospital' where wounded animals dip their wounds. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place where you can track rhinos on foot in Uganda; it is really great and exciting as you watch the white rhinoceros! This place has a tight 24-hour security, after the actions done in the 90’s.The sanctuary has around 78 amazing trained and skilled park rangers; it works hand in hand with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Ziwa Ranchers Limited. It started with 6 rhinos but currently the number has grown to about twenty two (22) Southern white Rhinos. Apart from rhinos, Ziwa is also home to a number of bird species, reptiles, and 40 mammal species including antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, monkeys among others.

Chimpanzee Safari Kibale National Park

The density and diversity of primates in Kibale National Park is the highest in the whole of Africa. The most well known of its 13 species are the chimpanzees, our closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 chimpanzee indicate Uganda’s biggest population of this threatened primate. A Uganda Safari can enable you to see all these primates. Additionally Kibale is home to the uncommon I’Hoest’s monkey as well as East Africa’s biggest population of the endangered red colobus monkey. The black & white colobus, red tailed monkey, blue monkey, olive baboon, grey cheeked mangabey, bush baby and potto are among the other primates.
