Last night, my dad pulled me aside and explained that he had noticed that I was so much happier over spring break than I have been. He asked if there was a reason.
I told him it was because I wasn't burned out anymore, that I was getting enough sleep and was allowed to do what I wanted.
I didn't say that the reason I'm so happy is that I found where I fit. I have a community that supports me. I have friends who use a different name and different pronouns when I ask. I can go shopping and buy the clothes I want. I'm making my own binder (with regards to safety, I promise) and I'm allowed to be who I am. There are people and friends online who support and love me, who send notes and kind comments and posts they think I'll like.
I've embraced the fluidity of my gender, I've finally admitted to myself that I identify as trans, that I'm non-binary sometimes, and I've accepted that.
I'm happier because I've figured out who I am.

A mother’s love is magic.
It has no boundaries and no limits.
It spreads its wings and flies to follow her children wherever they may go.
A mother’s love is precious.
It is constant. Never wavering.
It is an embrace that never lets go.
It is a safe space. It is the love which fills the home.
A mother’s love is powerful.
It is firm. It is fierce.
It is a force not to be reckoned with.
It will climb mountains and push through walls.
A mother’s love is beautiful.
It is a flower in constant bloom.
It does not wither or fade away.
It is the most beautiful song ever sung.
A mother’s love is unique.
It is a love like no other.
It is selfless. It is always giving.
It is etched on her soul and always in her heart.
A mother’s love is unceasing.
It is the safety net in a storm.
It cannot be tamed. Or limited.
It is the foundation upon which a family is built.
A mother’s love is forever.
It is joyful and uplifting.
It is pure and unconditional.
It surrounds her children everywhere.
A mother’s love is magic because a mother’s love never ends.

Mom: “God created Adam, Eve and *voice drops to a whisper* sex to not happen in the butt.”
I can’t make this shit up. This was a literal sentence that came from her mouth 😂
