Blur (Part 4) (I FINALLY FINISHED THE NEXT PART)
[Fic under readmore]
Adrien Agreste, aka Chat Noir, was fairly used to seeing some very weird stuff. After all, he was a superhero.
But this? This was a new one, that was for certain.
Hiding under the Pont des Arts was what looked like a small, two-tailed, anthropomorphic fox with bright orange, almost yellow fur.
Yeah, this was definitely new.
“...Hello?” Chat ventured, staring in confusion over the railing at the fox below.
Said fox almost visibly jumped, looking up at him with a startled, panicked expression—though a flash of relief also seemed to cross their face when they saw the hero. It immediately faded back into worry, however, and they shushed him.
“Get away, quickly! You’re going to give me away, and then he’ll find me!”
…Okay. This situation had just gone from “mildly weird” to “very complicated”.
For one, the fox was talking.
But for another, that definitely wasn’t the reaction of an Akuma—it was a lot closer to the reaction of an Akuma’s target, actually. That definitely debunked the “this is someone Akumatized into their fursona” theory.
(Not to say that that still wasn’t the case, mind you, but if there was a fursona Akuma, it at least wasn’t the fox.)
“Seriously, you need to get down before he gets here!” the fox worriedly insisted, glancing around nervously.
Chat stayed there thinking for a moment, before eventually deciding that yeah, it likely wouldn’t hurt to do what the fox was asking. In one swift motion, he vaulted himself over the bridge's railing, gracefully landing next to them and joining them in their hiding spot.
The fox looked somewhat surprised. “...Not exactly what I meant, but I guess it works.”
“So, why are you hiding—” Chat started to ask, but was shushed again by the young fox, whose ears had started twitching.
“Not now—I think he’s coming this way, stay quiet!”
“Who—”
And then he heard it. Footsteps. Approaching, very fast footsteps. So fast it sounded more like the rev of a racecar than actual running. Especially when it suddenly was replaced by the loud screech of something skidding to a halt.
“Tails!” an unfamiliar voice yelled, like they were calling for someone.
Chat Noir could sense the fox beside him tensing up at the sound, and reflexively pulled them closer.
He had a bad feeling about this…
“Tails? Where are you?” the voice continued, sounding almost worried. “Come on, buddy, why’d you run off? It’s me, your big bro!”
A minute or so of silence followed, only interrupted by the metallic clang of footsteps pacing on the bridge—well, actually, less like pacing, more like someone repeatedly landing at random spots. (Were they teleporting or something?!)
Chat held his breath, holding the fox tighter.
Eventually, the unknown voice let out a disappointed sigh. “Guess he’s not over here…where are you, Tails?”
And then a loud boom sounded, rattling the air itself, followed by the whir of whoever-it-was running off—probably to look elsewhere.
The two figures under the bridge waited until they couldn’t hear the footsteps anymore, before simultaneously letting out the breaths they were holding.
“I think I finally lost him,” the fox gasped in relief, collapsing against the wall. “Thank Gaia…”
Chat, meanwhile, was replaying what had just happened in his mind, concern lining his brow.
That voice…there had been something wrong about it. Something vaguely sinister. Chat was willing to bet a whole fistful of euros that the speaker was Akuamtized.
“So…” he eventually spoke up, turning back to the fox. “Care to explain who that was? And who you are? And, maybe, what’s going on in general? Because I have—”
And then the fox suddenly started sobbing.
The hero froze, caught off-guard by how suddenly the outburst had come, and quickly decided that he should probably save his questions for later.
“...Are you okay?” the blonde quietly asked, putting a hand on the fox’s quivering shoulder.
The fox shook his head. “N-no, I…what HAPPENED to him?! He—that was, my, he got…”
Chat sat down next to the quivering fox. “How about you try to explain from the beginning?” he asked softly, with concern.  “What happened?”
“He…my friends and I all got separated, and…apparently my best friend got turned into a supervillain? And he’s chasing me, and…it’s scary, he’s not mad or anything, it’s more like he’s…obsessed with finding me? And making sure I’m okay? Like I’m the only thing he even cares about at all…and yet still feels like himself, but at the same time it’s all WRONG—”
The hero put a finger to the fox’s mouth, shushing him. “Calm down, little guy. You’re saying your friend got akumatized?”
The fox blinked in confusion, looking at him like he’d just said something in a foreign language.
“Akumatized?” he repeated, more to themself than anything. “So that’s what it’s called, then…? Yes, I think he was.”
The boy gave them a comforting pat. “Well, don’t worry, kid, he’ll be alright. I promise.”
“How do you know that, though?!” The fox suddenly snapped at him, before quickly converting his mouth. “I…I’m sorry, I just…I’m scared I’ve lost him for good…”
Oh.
Oh, this really complicated things, didn’t it.
They didn’t know akumatization was reversible.
“Kid—hold on, what’s your name actually?” Chat asked.
“Tails,” the fox responded, still sounding dejected.
“Well, Tails, listen to me.” The hero moved in front of him, crouching down to hold their shoulders. “Your friend isn’t gone for good. Akumatization isn’t permanent.”
“It’s…it’s not?”
“Yeah, trust me.” Chat gave the fox a playful grin. “If every villain we fought never turned back to normal, Paris would be in ruins several times over by now.”
“…That makes sense,” Tails decided, nodding. “So, you’re saying—he can be fixed? Cured? Something like that?”
The hero nodded. “All we have to do is—well, first, find Ladybug, but then she and I just need to release the akuma butterfly and purify it.”
The fox nodded again—and then stopped. “Wait, did you say Ladybug?” he asked, looking up at Chat with an unreadable expression.
“…Yeah?” Where was he going with this?
Tails gasped, pounding a fist into his hand. “Of course! You’re the owner of the Black Cat Miraculous, aren’t you!”
The boy blinked in shock. “…Okay, how did you know about that, but not—”
The fox cut him off as if he hadn’t even heard him. “I didn’t realize that when she said it grants powers, it also induced a transformation! But it makes sense, how else would—”
“Tails!”
He stopped, looking over at the boy. “What?”
“How about we save the rambling for later?”
“…Good point.” The fox looked a little embarrassed. “Sorry about that, uh…”
“Chat Noir,” he introduced himself. “The name’s Chat Noir.”
“Nice to meet you, Chat Noir,” Tails replied with a smile. “…Thank you for helping calm me down, by the way.”
“No problem! All in a day’s—”
“And what are you doing now, Chaton?” a familiar female voice asked.
Chat turned around, and lo and behold, Ladybug had finally arrived, standing to the side with her arms crossed and a bemused expression on her face.
“Oh, m’lady!” he exclaimed happily. “Didn’t see you there.”
“I see you’ve made a new friend,” she noted, gesturing towards Tails. “Mind introducing me?”
“Of course!” Chat stood up, presenting the fox as he did so. “Tails, this is Ladybug, my superhero partner. Ladybug, this is Tails, apparently our ‘Akuma of the Day’ is a friend of his. He’s also quite the chatterbox if you get him going—the cat certainly hasn’t got his tongue!”
His partner groaned at the pun, shaking her head. Tails, meanwhile, had to stifle a laugh, and the blonde grinned at him.
“There’s plenty more puns where that came from!” he declared. “Nice to have someone appreciate them for once.”
Ladybug cleared her throat, shooting Chat a deadpan look. “Well, while you two were having a furry convention,” she said, rolling her eyes, “I was catching up on the Akuma situation.”
She took out her yo-yo, opened it to smartphone mode, and passed it to him.
Chat stared at the screen, which was currently displaying the news. It was paused on a collage of images, each one showing either a blurry blue-and-yellow form or a trail of blue light.
“…So, what exactly are we looking at?” he asked, looking up from the screen to his partner.
The girl let out a sigh. “Our Akuma.”
What.
“I’m sorry, what?!” he exclaimed, looking between the images and Ladybug in shock. “That’s the akuma?!”
She nodded.
Chat stared at the screen again, shaking his head. “How?!”
All of the timestamps on these pictures were barely minutes apart, but he recognized some of them as being taken on opposite ends of the city! Was he right about it sounding like someone was teleporting around the bridge earlier?!
“Super speed, according to eyewitnesses.”
“…That might actually be worse than what I was guessing.” Chat gave a nervous chuckle. “But that aside, this doesn’t seem like it’ll be an easy fight, does it.”
Ladybug nodded. “Looks like this is going  on the list of the smarter powers Hawk Moth has given out…”
“Well, Sonic already had super speed, actually.”
Chat and Ladybug simultaneously looked over at Tails in disbelief.
“I’m sorry, he what?!” the boy exclaimed, wondering if he’d heard that right.
The fox nodded. “Yeah, if Hawk Moth’s given him anything related to speed, it’s just an enhancement…and also that weird afterimage thing he was doing, that was definitely new.”
…Alright then.
Ladybug sighed. “It’s probably still going on the list, at least…”
“Wait, so does that mean you being a fox isn’t related to the akuma?” Chat asked, feeling the sudden need to check because what in the world was even happening anymore.
Tails gave him a puzzled look. “No…? I guess this confirms you really don’t have mobians here.”
“I have no idea what that means, so yes!” he agreed, holding up a finger as he spoke.
“Anyways,” Ladybug cut back in, “we should probably focus on how we’re going to stop the akuma.”
“He told me his name is Blur now,” Tails provided. “And, well…how much do people change when they’re akumatized?”
“It depends, actually.” The girl gave the fox a curious look. “Why do you ask?”
“Do you know if things like phobias would still carry over?”
“…Maybe? I don’t know if anything like that has ever come up in a fight before.”
Tails nodded. “So it’s unconfirmed, but not disproven, got it…see, Sonic has a fear of deep water and drowning. So if you could confront Blur somewhere where that could possibly present itself, it might give you an advantage to counter his speed.”
“Like the Piscine Pontoise?” Chat perked up. “It’s after hours, so it’d be empty besides us.”
Ladybug nodded. “The problem would be getting him to follow us in, and stay there…”
“…I can be bait?” Tails offered, sounding a bit less confident now. “He is chasing me, after all.”
“Hm…” Chat watched as his partner considered the idea. “It could work…but it’d be pretty risky for you…”
“I—I can handle myself, don’t worry!” the fox quickly added, his twin tails spinning behind him. “I know how to fight!”
Ladybug shook her head. “But it’s dangerous to fight an Akuma without protection, like a…Miraculous…” She trailed off, and Chat recognized the look in her eyes. It was the same look she got whenever she figured out how to use a Lucky Charm.
“You have an idea, Bugaboo?” he asked, unable to contain his grin.
She turned to him with a huff. “I keep telling you not to call me Bugaboo!” Her frown quickly faded, however, replaced by a smug, knowing smile. “But yes, I do. Chat, take Tails and head to the Pontoise. I need to go pick something up, but once I do, I’ll meet you there.”
She closed her yo-yo and tossed it around a lamppost, swinging away into the growing darkness of night.
Chat smiled, watching her vanish over the rooftops, before turning to Tails. “Come on, you heard her. Let’s go!”
Tails, who had also been staring after the heroine (though likely in shock instead of awe), snapped back to reality. “Oh, right!” The fox gave him a nod, then yelped in surprise as the boy picked him up and brought out his baton.
“Going up!” he quipped, as the baton suddenly extended upwards. He then lept off onto the bridge, Tails still in tow, setting the little fox back down on the ground.
And the two quickly started off down the street, Chat leading the way.

Everyone say hi to Paris! Made him for an au kinda thing and also for rp. He's a physical manifestation of Silver's negative qualities and emotions, created by and overuse of his psychokinesis. Paris is what is called a "Psych-cut". Psych-cuts happen within Mobians that possess Psychokinetic abilities. When they overuse their power and express strong emotions. The cut can either overtake the body and essentially use someone as a host or, when they occur enough, they can separate and create a physical form, similar to their host. They still feed off strong emotion, essentially having an invisible bond with their past host at this stage.
Powers include the same as host, as well as
- amplified power
- shapeshifting ( very graphic. Think Animorphs plus they can mirror their new form's power and voice)
-Strong teleportation

Hey Mint! I recently read through all of your Mobians in Paris tag(Had no idea there were more parts of "Blue" written!)
Wanted to ask, is there any confusion on if a mobian's species can act as an amplifier to Miraculous? I.E. Charmy and Venom, Tails and Mirage, Cream and Burrow, or Big/Blaze and Cataclysm
Is it a real thing, or just an assumption people make?
I. Have no idea. But it probably doesn't have any effect.
Although some of these are good pairings just based on PERSONALITY, like Tails and the Fox

Random thought I've been infected with because I remembered Mobians in Paris was a thing.
Hawkmoth is unable to Akumatize Omega, despite his unrelenting fury and desire for destruction, because his rage is too powerful. The moment a butterfly lands on him and starts talking in a spooky voice Omega can and will blast it to pieces. No ifs, ands, or buts.
That checks out yeah

Blur (Sonic/Miraculous Ladybug Crossover Snippet)
So...yeah, this is a thing I wrote today. And an AU I've been sitting on for over a week. Hope you guys like it?
< (Fic Under Read More) >
Sonic hated being cornered.
Being cornered, after all, meant no room to run. And for someone whose greatest asset was his speed, well…
Sure, he could usually escape some other way, like spindashing, but not unless he was willing to risk hurting who- or whatever had him trapped. And unfortunately for him, this case was definitely one where he didn't want to cause any damage.
Because he really didn't want to give these cops MORE of a reason to be after him.
Thus, the hedgehog’s current predicament: trapped in the middle of a narrow alleyway, with both exits blocked by police waiting for him to come out, and no room to pick up enough speed to escape.
He didn’t even know how he’d ended up in this situation—well, okay, that wasn’t entirely true, he had to admit. Technically, he did have some idea: it was mostly Eggman’s fault. The evil doctor had managed to gather and attempt to use the Chaos Emeralds again, hooking them into some weird contraption that Sonic honestly hadn’t cared enough about to learn the name of. He’d broken it before it could do whatever Eggman had been planning, anyways—but said act of destruction was probably what had caused the thing to malfunction, followed by the Emeralds resonating in a flash of blinding light…
…And the next thing Sonic knew, he had crash-landed in the middle of the road in an unfamiliar city.
Then the cops had come to investigate the damage his impact had caused and started chasing him, leading to…well, this.
Being cornered in an alleyway.
Not his finest moment.
…Especially as, though he hated to admit it, the hedgehog suddenly started to panic. Thinking back on what had happened, he’d just remembered something:
The others had also been there when the Emeralds did whatever it was that sent him here.
Eggman had obviously been there, along with Amy, Knuckles, Tails—
He felt his breath catch in his throat.
Gaia below, TAILS!
It might have just been the stress of his current situation, but the hedgehog found himself unable to stop worrying about what might have happened to his little brother.
Was the fox okay? Or had he landed himself into trouble as well? Where WAS he?!
He felt even more helpless than before now—for all he knew, Tails needed help, but meanwhile, he was stuck, unable to move as he was surrounded. He couldn’t run, he couldn’t do anything—
Sonic squeezed his eyes shut, gritting his teeth as he tried not to outwardly show the turmoil he was feeling. He didn’t notice as a pitch-black butterfly landed on his glove.
He just wasn’t fast enough, was he?
But you could be.
With a start, his eyes shot back open, and he gave a sharp, involuntary inhale.
The cops had started shouting something, but he couldn’t make it out. Everything had suddenly seemed to fade into the background as soon as the voice had spoken, and a strange glow was now tinging his peripheral vision with a purple haze.
“I…I could be, what?”
Fast enough, of course. The voice chuckled darkly. Fast enough to escape this alleyway, to escape your pursuers, even fast enough to help your friends escape whatever danger they may be in.
This claim earned Sonic’s full attention. “Wait, you mean it?! But…how? And—wait, who are you?”
My name is Hawk Moth. I have the power to bestow new abilities to others, such as the greater speed I’m now offering you…as long as you perform a small favor for me.
“...What kind of favor?”
He ignored the nagging feeling in the back of his mind that something seemed off about all this.
There are a pair of magical jewels that I require, a ring and a set of earrings, known as the Miraculous. In exchange for the power I give you, I ask that you find them and bring them to me.
This sounded simple enough, he had loads of experience with magic gems.
“So…you give me powers, and I just need to get these ‘miraculous’ thingies for you?” Sonic repeated, just to be sure.
Yes, exactly. Now, do you accept, Blur?
Blur…
He liked the sound of that.“I sure do,” Blur, he wasn’t Sonic, not anymore, replied, giving a smirk. “You’ve got yourself a deal, Hawk Moth!”

around when in the timeline does Mobians in Paris takes place in? Also does sonic ever tell them about the weird adventures he has gone on?
It happens around the start of Season 3, mainly cause I have some Very Fun ideas for Chameleon.
And yeah probably.

Blur (Part 2) (Yes there's more)
[Fic under Readmore]
Tails admittedly wasn’t sure why he felt so anxious right now as to curl up into a ball and hide. After all, it hadn’t been his fault that his fall had broken that window!
…Though the owner of the room he’d landed in and was now curled up on the floor of probably wouldn’t know that, would they. That was as good a reason as any to hide, he figured—especially if the owner was a teenage girl, as the fox guessed from the room’s appearance and especially the collage of photos of a boy on the wall. In his experience, teenage girls could be…emotional. (Looking at you, Amy.)
The trapdoor in the floor suddenly creaked as someone started to open it from below, causing Tails to instinctively curl up tighter, tucking away his two tails so that they wouldn’t give him away. With any luck, whoever was coming in would mistake him for a pillow or something similar and let him be.
With a slam, the trapdoor swung the rest of the way open, and he couldn’t help but peak as a raven-haired human girl (his guess had been right, she seemed to be in her young teens) poked up into the room, taking in the sight of the broken window with wide eyes. Cautiously, she finished ascending the ladder, being careful not to step on any of the broken glass now littering the floor.
“What a mess,” she groaned, shaking her head at the state of her room. “I’m going to need to tell Maman and Papa when they get back, for sure…what do you think even did this, Tikki?”
To Tails’ surprise, a tiny red and black form suddenly darted out from the purse at the girl’s waist, hovering in the air and likewise seeming to be taking in the room. If he didn’t know any better, he’d have guessed it was a Chao, or maybe even a Wisp, but it was too small to be either of those things. The tiny being—should he call it a sprite for now?—was silent for a minute, before its large blue eyes landed on the fox’s curled-up form.
“Hey, Marinette, was that orange thing here before?” it—no, she, it sounded distinctly feminine—asked, pointing.
Tails gulped. So much for going unnoticed…He quickly closed his eyes tight, trying his best not to twitch and give himself away as he heard approaching footsteps.
“I don’t think so, no…” The girl—Marinette—sounded confused. “Let’s see…”
Suddenly, the fox felt a pair of hands lifting him off of the ground, and he tensed up. This wasn’t good, if she looked at him too closely she might realize—
Before he even realized what he was doing, he’d wrenched himself free from her hands and uncurled, landing back on the floor with a thud.
“I’m so sorry!” he yelled, holding his hands up defensively. “I swear I didn’t mean to break your window, please don’t be mad, okay? I can try to—”
He was cut off as the girl screamed.
“…Okay, in all honesty, I should have seen that coming,” the fox muttered to himself, feeling suddenly embarrassed. Revealing himself so quickly was probably pretty startling, wasn’t it?
“WHAT ARE YOU?!” she cried out, panickedly pointing at him as she fell backward to the floor. “A FOX?! A TALKING FOX?! WHY ARE—HOW ARE YOU—WHY ARE YOU IN MY ROOM?!”
(She didn’t recognize him as a mobian? That must mean that wherever this was, there must not be any…Tails silently filed away this revelation in his mind for later.)
The girl looked like she had a whole slew of questions at the ready—but before she could ask any of them, she abruptly froze, her eyes landing on something behind the fox and widening in horror. Confused, Tails turned to see the small red sprite-like thing—Tikki, right?—was still floating there in the air, a similar look of horror on her face as well.
“...Hi?” he nervously ventured, timidly raising his hand, looking between the human and the sprite.
The room fell deafeningly silent.
And then, Marinette gave a breathless, horrified whisper, so quiet that Tails almost couldn’t hear it.
“No…”
She got to her feet, the panic on her face intensifying as she continued. “No, no, no, this—this can’t be happening, please tell me you didn’t—how much did you see?!” The girl started backing away, shaking her head. “I—this is—no, please, this can’t—”
Tails watched in horror as the girl abruptly collapsed to her knees, holding her head in her hands as her breathing became shallow. What was…oh, dear Chaos, she was having a panic attack, wasn’t she?!
Quickly, he scrambled to his feet, rushing over to the human’s side. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Tikki had followed him, her expression a mirror of his own concern.
“What’s wrong?!” The fox tried his best to sound calm, not wanting to worry the anxiety-ridden girl any further.
“You—” she stammered, “You saw—I didn’t know you were here, and now—now you’ve seen Tikki—and now Hawk Moth will find out, and—and he’ll—”
Tails grabbed her by the shoulders, and she started, looking up at him with wet, bloodshot eyes.
“Look,” he said, making sure he had her attention. “Marinette, right? Can you maybe…try to explain exactly what’s wrong, please? I have to admit, I’m not really sure what’s the matter, and I can’t help you if I don’t know. And I really do want to help.”
“No, you—you don’t understand, you know, and—and—now he’ll come after me, and—” She was so worked up that she was having trouble breathing, barely able to speak.
“Listen to me!”
The girl stopped, whatever she was trying to say dying on her lips.
Tails took a deep breath, then continued. “Whatever you’re scared about, I’ll do everything I can to keep it from happening. No one’s gonna come after you. I promise.”
(He tried his best to sound the way Sonic always did when calming him down from something. It had always worked for the fox, so hopefully it’d also work here.)
She stared at him in terrified silence for a minute, as if trying to determine if his concern was genuine, before eventually, she slowly nodded. “…Okay. I…I’ll try to explain.”
The fox let go, sitting down on the floor in front of her, motioning for her to begin.
“So…” Marinette began, still looking a little shaken up, but having managed to calm down a decent amount at this point. “You probably heard me mention the name Hawk Moth just now, right?”
Tails nodded. “Judging by how scared you were, I’m guessing he’s bad news?”
“You could say that, yeah…to make a long story short, he’s a villain that’s been attacking the city for a while now—specifically by turning innocent people into supervillains to do his dirty work for him.”
“…Wait…did you think I was one of those at first?”
The girl blushed slightly. “It…might have crossed my mind at one point. Sorry.”
He shook his head understandingly. “That’s okay, it was probably a valid assumption…but back on topic, why were you afraid Hawk Moth might now target you specifically?”
Marinette didn’t answer, glancing down at her purse. This confused him—until he followed her gaze, and noticed Tikki peeking out of the top slightly. She must have returned to it at some point.
“Should I really tell him, Tikki?” the girl asked, looking unsure.
“Well, he’ll probably figure it out anyways, so…might as well,” the sprite replied, nodding.
The fox quietly waited for Marinette to continue.
“Well…Hawk Moth is after two things in particular,” she said slowly, nervously fingering her earlobe. “Two pieces of magical jewelry known as Miraculous—the Black Cat ring, and the Ladybug…earrings.”
He was immediately able to connect the dots.
“…You have the Ladybug.”
Marinette visibly winced as he said this, but nodded. “…Yes, I…I do. That’s why I freaked out so much when I saw Tikki—she’s the Ladybug Kwami.”
The fox blinked. “Kwami?”
“A spirit that embodies a concept,” Tikki explained, suddenly piping up. “Each Miraculous has one—I’m the Kwami of Creation, for example.”
“…And if I ever were to let anyone know that I saw Tikki, and Hawk Moth found out, he’d be able to make the connection and know who you are, wouldn’t he?” His eyes widened in realization. “Yeah, I can see why you were panicking now.”
Marinette sighed. “Either way, what’s done is done…you know, and we can’t change that.”
“…Well, then, I promise not to tell anyone about this,” Tails decided, giving the girl a serious look.
“…You promise?” the girl repeated, looking surprised at his immediate level of conviction.
“Yes, I promise. Honest.”
She looked visibly relieved by this. “Thank you…” But then, she frowned. “Wait…who are you, exactly?”
“Oh, right!” he realized. “I already heard your names, but you don’t know mine…” The fox let out a nervous chuckle. “Sorry about that. My name is Miles Prower, though most people just call me Tails.”
Marinette stared at him for a second, and he could guess what she was probably looking at.
“…Because of the two tails?” she guessed, proving him right.
“Yeah, it’s…pretty obvious, isn’t it.” He held out a gloved hand. “Anyways, your name is Marinette, right? It’s nice to meet you!”
With a smile, the girl took the fox’s outstretched hand and shook it. “Nice to meet you too, Tai—”
But before she could finish, she was cut off by the sound of shattering glass.
Whirling around to face the source, Tails immediately froze and let out a gasp at the sight of the figure who’d just burst in through the now-even-more-broken window.
The very familiar figure.
Although…something was off.
The normally vibrant blue quills looked a shade or so darker with golden tips, the navy and yellow asymmetrical jumpsuit was definitely new, and the emerald eyes seemed distorted and almost glowing.
But even so…Tails would recognize his older brother anywhere.
“…Sonic?”

Blur (Part 3) (THE FUN BEGINS)
[Fic under readmore]
This was obviously an Akuma.
That was Marinette’s first thought upon taking in the blue-and-yellow figure that had just crashed its way into her room.
Her second thought was that she needed to immediately get the fox, Tails, away from said Akuma—especially since he seemed to recognize them, from how shocked his reaction was.
“Sonic?!” he repeated with a gasp, reaching out toward the figure in confusion.
“Tails?! Is that you?!” the Akuma—Sonic?—exclaimed brightly, his face lighting up as he noticed the fox. “I was looking everywhere for you, buddy!”
Before Marinette could even blink, he’d suddenly zoomed across the floor in a visible blur—did he have super speed?!—and was holding Tails by the shoulders. Leaving behind a faint afterimage of where he’d been standing just prior.
“You’re not hurt or anything, are you?! Please tell me you’re alright, I was so worried—” As he spoke, he kept zipping around the fox, leaving more afterimages as he did. Each one would fade after a couple of seconds, but it was still enough to be a bit overwhelming to watch.
“I—I’m fine, Sonic, but—” Tails looked a little disturbed by the over-the-top way the other was acting (and Marinette couldn’t blame him, something about this almost felt creepy). “What happened to you?! Why do you look like…”
“Oh, good…I was really worried, y’know? I just couldn’t stop myself from being afraid that you were—”
The fox shook himself free of the Akuma’s grip, taking a step back. “Seriously, Sonic, what happened?! You’re acting like you thought I was dead or something!”
“Sonic” chuckled, stepping back a little himself and waving off Tails’ concern. “I’m alright, little bro—after all, I found you!”
“That…that doesn’t answer the question, Sonic! What—“
The Akuma was suddenly right next to the fox again, and held up a finger, cutting him off. “Actually, my name’s Blur now,” he corrected, shaking his head. “Not Sonic. Not anymore.”
Tails looked taken aback by this, staring at “Blur” in fearful confusion.
“Sonic, what—what do you mean?!” he stammered, taking another shaky step backward. “Why are you—you’re not acting like—what happened?!”
“Well, this guy offered to help make me fast enough to get away and find you,” Blur explained, smiling as if nothing was wrong, still zipping around to another spot every time he paused and leaving another afterimage each time. “All I gotta do for him in return is get him some things called the ‘Miraculous’…seems simple enough, right?”
The fox gave a sharp inhale when the Akuma mentioned the Miraculous, and Marinette could see his expression change to one of horror as the realization seemed to slowly set in.
“The person who talked to you…Sonic, was his name Hawk Moth?” Tails asked, his voice shaky.
“Yeah! …Wait, how’d you know?” Blur looked a little taken aback by this, his brow furrowing. “Also, I told you, it’s Blur.”
The fox gave a terrified glance back at Marinette, obviously uncertain how to react to this information.
“Run,” she mouthed back to him, tilting her head in the direction of the broken window.
He looked unsure of this for a second, but another glance at Blur seemed to make up his mind, and he nodded. In one fluid motion, Tails suddenly curled up into a ball—how could he do that?!—and sped across the floor and out the opening in the glass.
Blur stared after him in shock, seemingly too stunned to react.
“…Tails, WAIT!” he finally managed to cry out, moving to try and follow the fox—but Marinette grabbed hold of the Akuma’s wrist before he could leave.
“LET GO OF ME!” he screamed, trying to wrench himself free. “He—he was right there, why—why is he—” Abruptly, he froze, a familiar butterfly-shaped glow now surrounding his face.
Marinette felt her breath catch in her throat at the sight. Hawk Moth.
Blur seemed to be listening intently to whatever the villainous Miraculous user was telling him, his expression morphing into something unreadable. It was only a few seconds before the mask of light faded, and then he turned to look up at the girl with disbelief.
“You…you don’t want me to find him, do you?” he accused, his eyes narrowing into a glare. “Well, I WON’T LET YOU STOP ME!” He suddenly pulled away with renewed vigor, and Marinette found that her hand was empty, another afterimage of “Blur” the only thing left where she’d just been gripping.
What had just…
She looked up at the Akuma, who was now glaring at her from the windowsill.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find my little brother. Again.”
And with that, he zoomed off out the window, leaving a streak of blue light and a final afterimage behind him.

MiP: So, at what point in Miraculous do the Sonic gang show up? Season 1? 2? When?!
Between seasons 2 and 3 is when it starts
Mainly because I have some very fun ideas for Chameleon :D

I'll be blunt.
With the release of Frontiers, depending on if Mobians in Paris taoes place before or after all, well, THAT, either there's all the more reason for Sonic to be Akumatized, or afterwards if the Miraculous Squad was also there(imagine if Chat was with Sonic in saving everyone if that's the case) he would be getting a lot of love and support from them because of, well, all of that! [1/2, the other half includes major spoilers.]
Tumblr media
Honestly I have no idea if this is post-frontiers or not, probably at least post-forces though

Okay this thought came to me. Are the Wisps present in Mobians in Paris because if so I can totally see some of the Miraculous characters be followed around by those guys. That and I'm imagining Max having made his own Wisp translator and requiring Tails' help in ironing out the kinks that are mistranslations.
OH HELL YEAH WISPS LET'S HAVE WISPS SHOW UP

@ the anon talking about a Shadow akumatization: I...don't think I want something that dark to happen, no, sorry.
Also I might have already decided the option of Shadow just, flat-out rejecting any akumatization attempt on him out of pure stubbornness and also just Not Wanting Anyone Else In His Mind Again is too fun to pass up on.

Pfft- Joke thoughts.
An Inhibitor Ring can help prevent the whole time limit after using a Miraculous Power thing, however it's at the cost of decreasing how powerful it is.
Like, Cataclysm would just make something fragile instead of outright destroying it, or Lucky Charm would be a lot more limited, same with Miraculous Cure. However they can spam said power as a trade-off due to an Inhibitor Ring.
That's actually an interesting idea...
Applying an Inhibitor Ring to the Miraculous, trading power for more use

Welp I was wrong about Metal Sonic and honestly? I'm fine with it that theory was more of a crack theory than anything else that I just wanted to share because if I was wrong at least it was fun to think about.
But the idea of Metal using nanites to disguise himself before using the Bee Miraculous sounds amazing and dramatic and I love it. Alongside the fact that he's litteraly just, chilling in Marinette's family bakery. Just, now I'm imagining her, her parents, Cream, Vanilla, and maybe Rouge and Shadow, if you also headcanon Team Dark as weird room mates if not then take those two off the list, just, bonding over having reformed Eggman robots as parts of their families/is their friend.
Also now I'm imagining Tom, Sabine, and Marinette growing used to smashing up Eggpawns and other Badniks because Eggman keeps trying to reclaim Metal and they refuse to let him do that.
TOM HITS THE BADNIKS WITH A BREAD PADDLE AND HE'S SO LARGE AND STRONG THAT THEY JUST CRUSH
Also YES the "Adopted an Eggman Robot" gang shall be amazing
And Metal learns how to bake and he makes an apology cake for Sonic and he tries to decorate it himself and...
Wait a second @zerothejackal FINN WHERE'S THAT PICTURE YOU DREW OF METAL'S APOLOGY CAKE--
