Viktor didn’t think it would go on this long.

“Surely you are running out of gift ideas,” Viktor says, laughing as Jayce sets another neatly wrapped box in front of him. Today marks two months of this, and so far Viktor has received everything from scrap building materials to a large intricate standing mirror for his apartment (which he tried to return to Jayce multiple time to no avail). “Really, Jayce. This is getting out of hand.”

The other man ignores him, wrapping an arm around Viktor’s shoulders and scooting the box closer, motioning for him to open it. “You know, you could just tell me when your birthday is and then I wouldn’t have to do this!”

“Well I can’t give in now! Then I’d be the loser, no?” Viktor shakes his head, trying to contain his amusement. He’s not sure when it turned into a competition of who could be more stubborn, but that’s certainly what it has become.

“That’s not how it works, Viktor!” Jayce laughs at him this time, watching as Viktor carefully undoes the delicate bow and beautiful gold wrapping. There was a point when Viktor was convinced Jayce was taking them to Ximena to wrap them so neatly, until he caught Jayce wrapping one himself on an especially early morning in the lab. He finally gets the paper pealed back, opening the box underneath to reveal an intricate jewelry box. The blue metal and gold leafing are gorgeous, a little bit crude around the edges but clearly made with love. And the clasp is a small but easily recognizable Talis “T”.

“Did you… make this?” Viktor picks it up with awe, turning it carefully in his hands. It’s so unlike anything Viktor has seen Jayce make. His work is always wonderful, of course, but never so small and decorative. “It’s— Jayce it’s—” Viktor has to clear his throat, wet with emotion.

“Open it,” Jayce says with a knowing smile.

Viktor, as delicately as he can manage so as to not break it, Viktor opens the T clasp. And inside is the cog from their first night together.

Viktor has never wished more in his life that it really was his birthday.

Yo! :) as someone who has worked mobile games QA and Customer Service, if you check to see if there are forums you might be able to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, and if they’re not, then you could write in to their support email. Being locked out of the game is something they’re probably trying to fix ATM but giving them info about your device always helps :)

Hello there! :) Yeah, I did both these things - their Facebook was full of people with the same/similar crashing issues, and I sent in a message to their support. It just annoys me when devs can’t even take the two minutes to go on their social media and just throw out “hello peeps we know a bunch of you are having this issue and we’re working on it hang tight”. It would make everyone so much happier with such a tiny amount of work, ya know? 

(Also for some reason it suddenly started working again like five minutes after I made that post so yay? Maybe it’s back to stay? *slaps wooden desk not to jinx it*)
