He scaled the edge of the dancefloor and took in the fine dancing in front of him, soaking in the sweet strings flowing through the room playing current music reimagined. He wondered whether he might hear a Helos number before the end of the night. As he was nearing the end of his drink, he began the search for another waiter so that he might swipe another, when a particular silhouette caught his eye. Seeing the opportunity so readily presenting itself, he quickly grabbed two glasses of champagne from a passing member of staff and made a b-line for the woman lingering at the dancefloor’s edge. As he moved to stand beside her, he took a moment to study her, realising that, quite accidentally, they were the perfect match.

I can’t even look at Carol or Caryl gifs anymore. It is all too painful. It feels like it was all for nothing. Everything they foreshadowed like the New Mexico talks or “we have a future” feel like it was all a lie.
All we have left is eight episodes and then one of them leaves on his own journey. How is that going to be satisfying? How are we to say goodbye to Carol in just eight episodes when we were told we would have more time?
Even if they become canon, what’s the point? They’ll be canon for 2 minutes at the end of 11C and they bye bye? or worse she dies?!!!
Everyone behind this fucked up decision has ruined years of character development. I’d prefer no spin-off at all. A good ending on the main show would have been better in the end but it’s all about making more money with a new show isn’t it?
They’re money makers not story tellers.
Everything is tainted now, both what happened before and what will happen after. They ruined it all.
Melissa and Carol deserve so much better than this big load of crap. I’ll miss them and what could have been forever.
