the ways that adrien, marinette, and their counterparts fell for each other really make me believe in true love.

let’s start from the very beginning: chronologically, it was chat noir falling for ladybug. he was able to comfort her in a time of weakness, and she was showing her true bravery and courage. like i said in an earlier post, he fell for her because of how lonely he had been for the past year. but also, the connection they had was immaculate and it speaks to so many lengths.

next we have: marinette falling for adrien. also spoken in an earlier post, adrien’s act of kindness by giving her the umbrella was major for marinette, since she was being bullied the year before. i think marinette also realized that he wasn’t this snobby rich kid she thought he was, and had a much deeper, kind self inside. that’s what made her fall for him.

going on: adrien falling for marinette. adrien stated in a season five episode that he felt feelings for marinette during that one very, very, embarrassing “statue” incident at the wax museum. he didn’t know it, but he did, and he probably was fighting his feelings for her secretly without realizing. adrien saw one of, um, marinette’s “true sides” during that, since she only stuttered around him. but i think that this weird, quirky side of her made him fall for her, along with the kind marinette he had already seen. and these feelings slowly grew, bigger and bigger. adrien only realized it in season five, when his feelings for ladybug were slowly fading and he finally accepted it.. because first comes denial, and then acceptance.

last, but not least: marinette falling for chat noir. its never said, but i’m sure that marinette fell for him in the season four finale, when he comforted her through it all and gave her a hug. we see her blush then, and i think that she, for once, felt like there was still someone on her side (in the moment, not literally.) she then fought the feelings for a little bit in the beginning of season five, and then accepted it after finding them a couple episodes later. it’s all about kindness with adrien/chat noir, i swear.

they were all a little in love with one or the other from the start, but they didn’t really get unleashed until later (unless it was marinette for adrien and chat for ladybug)

so, it was never about looks or status. it was about the personality, the kindness, the generosity, the qualities that make people stand out in a way that appearances can’t. and that is true love.

I'm loving this Shadybug and Claw Noir stuff because it's making me enjoy the love square for the first time in a while.

It's something actually new to the ship for the first time in a while. It's weird and fun and it's the first miraculous content in a while that hasn't set the Fandom into a firey rage.

Miraculous finally got a win, it feels good.

There's one thing I don't understand:

The multiverse is canon and the multiverse is endless which means that literally everything can and is canon somewhere.

And the Kwarmis know of every universe and experience everything simultaneously.

So, If a universe existed where Marinette and Adrien shared their identities from the start (and let's be real, it is not only a common fic idea but definitely canon too somewhere) then why do Tikki and Plagg and every other kwarmi even be told the identities of other holders?

Is there a failsafe in place that they don't remember them? Do they choose not to look? Or do they actually know all the identities but pretend not to because it's not their place to tell anyone?

I'm curious about your thoughts on this!

Post-reveal Ladrien:

Marinette and Adrien are in his room at Agreste mansion. Adrien is in his phone, looking at Marinette photos, while Marinette is in his computer, looking at the insane amount of Ladybug photos.

Adrien: You know what would be cool?

Marinette: Delete all this photos?

Adrien: No. Tell people Ladybug and Adrien are dating.

Marinette:

Adrien: (:

Marinette: omfg ur a genious, kitty

And so, on the lastest akuma attack Ladybug saves Adrien and ""discreetly"" kiss, ""not knowing"" that other civilians were taking photos. Then, the pictures blews up social media and everybody gets to know.

Mme. Bustier's class goes crazy, how, where, when and why this happened? Adrien looks shy about the questions.

Alya (who never learned that Marinette is Ladybug) is worried, how will Mari take the new? She obviously will be really upset. Marinette fakes being sad, a terrible fake and everybody notices, but why wouldn't Marinette being sad? So they forces themself to believe her poorly acting and tries to cheer her up. Even Adrien! Everyone was worried that Adrien found out about Mari's crush for him that way, when even Mari herself didn't dare to tell him the true for one or two years. Adrien, in front of all the classmates, apologizes to Marinette and she tells hims that it's not his fault to be in love with someone else, that there's no need to worry and assures him and the class that she'll overcome all of this.

Lila is mad. Adrien is dating someone, no other than Ladybug. But Gabriel doesn't back her up in this. No matter how much lies she told him, he doesn't believe her. He's not only not bothered by the couple, he supports the relationship. Ladybug, as the heroine of Paris, has a really good reputation, she won't hurt Agrestes' image. But, most important, it's the perfect opportunity to learn more about his enemy.

Adrien is really surprised that his father supports him in this. Marinette doesn't want to suspect the fashion mogul's intentions, but still she's very careful about what she does and says around him.

The public eye is really into Ladybug and Adrien's relationship. They makes more personal questions as usual. They try to ask if Adrien knows Ladybug's identity. Both of the succesfully avoid those questions. They also ask if isn't it dangerous for Adrien to date the heroine, but Ladybug assures that everything will be ok (since she knows that if ever something happens, Adrien can transform and defend himself).

People aks Chat Noir's opinion about all of this. Chat fakes being upset and "mawd" at that just-a-cute-face-perfume-boy, but he also says that he respects Ladybug's choice and accepts her reject.

A couple of weeks later, people found out about Chat Noir's relationship with that-one-random-cute-baker-girl.

Best T Ship Post Round 1 Predictions

I've been kinda obsessing over all of these polls that have been going around. The latest one I'm watching diligently is the one made by @besttship

When I hear people say "love square reversal" i don't think most people automatically mean "Marinette abandons her love for Adrien and falls in love with Chat and Chat gives up on LB for Marinette"

Sometimes they do mean that. And that would have been a funny scenario in like season 3 or 4 when writers need an excuse to prolong the lovesquare but still change things up without making progress. A fun twist. A stalling tactic. But also frustrating.

But what people also commonly mean is that they simply want Marinette and Adrien to make some room in their hearts... to shift their focus... to recognize romantic feelings for the other. Because Adrien would deny Marinette is "more than a friend". And Ladybug would deny feelings for Chat. But what if they went "Oh wait. Dang. Am I in love with someone else?" And then explore that?

I find it so funny that Miraculous Ladybug insists on dragging out their love square identity thing outside of 'what if's for over five seasons and probably building up to some massive reveal. But then the fandom is just like "Well actually, they realized each other's identities a while ago cause Ladybug had to borrow Chat Noir's inhaler on a mission and it said Adrien Agreste on it. So they just know and are chill about it."

Hi everyone! It's been two years since I've posted but highschool was.... hard to say the least. However, I'm back since I recently graduated and I have nothing to do this summer! I watched all of season 4 of miraculous (who hasn’t?) and I just want to say I’m so happy with the development of lady noir like omgggg. I am currently watching some season 5 episodes and its so exciting to finally see some different things being executed in this season. I will dig a little deeper and break down some of the episodes soon. It's great to be back :)
