Zhen@Reshi: The Ho-oh seemed rather hesitant to approach. Whether it be nervousness or not, it was difficult to tell, his features unreadable. "From one legend to another. When it came to learning about your powers... how did you learn them? Maybe you can give me some tips?"

Reshi looked up at the fellow deity, putting on a soft smile as she turned to face him. It wasn’t often nowadays she was asked for help or guidance, so it was refreshing after such a long slumber. “Well, it wasn’t exactly easy.” She recalled, trying to place herself back to when she first learned how to control her abilities. “I ended up accidentally burning my prince pretty badly a few times. It felt awful. I remember hating it at first.” It was easy for her to recall the guilt that clenched her heart so tightly. “I found that I wasn’t alone though. Zekrom was still learning too. It helped that we had each other to lean on, and the princes’ aid too.”

Resh closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Suddenly the room began to radiate with warmth, as brilliant orange and red shades climbed up the strands of white hair. With a snap of her fingers, flames ignited, spiraling around her in a frenzied dance. “It takes practice to hone your skills, and honestly, discipline. I can’t tell you how often my flames went rogue in the palace grounds.” She spoke, voice raised over the pyre at her feet. “I learned from a human, and was raised to control them like that of a sword. He always told me that…” Her voice faltered, dying out like embers in water, the room growing colder once more. “H-He told me that a sword’s swing carries nothing unless the hand that holds it has courage. You can’t fight unless you are confident in your ability to do so. Know what you wish to use your powers for, know what you fight for. Know when you have pushed yourself too far, be it body or mind.”

Eventually the flames went out, and so did the young deity’s outfit. Taking a deep breath, she collected herself before speaking again. “And honestly, I’m not the best at controlling my abilities. I still have more to learn. I’m too emotional on the field, too nervous to harm someone and too quick to anger. I’m not at my full potential.” Sighing she continued, offering the golden deity a grin. “But that’s what I get from learning from humanity! Not to mention my awful lying skills.” Resh gave a small laugh. “I’d be willing to help you train if you need it! Just don’t tell that to Tornadus, he’ll get excited.”
