Original animation drawings from "Mickey's Gala Premiere" 1933, this was the first time Mickey interacted with humans. Filled with drawings of Hollywood's top stars of the day - pictured Harold Lloyd, William Powell, Harry Langdon, Sid Grauman, Buster Keaton and of course Charlie among others.
The drawings sold in 2020 for $690.00

3.) the movie that got you into old hollywood?
It wasn't even a feature film that started my interest in it. It was 1920s-40s caricature cartoons that did that for me – The CooCoo Nut Grove, Mickey's Gala Premier, Felix in Hollywood, Mother Goose in Swingtime, and the like. So much of my appreciation for Golden Age Hollywood and vintage music comes from the animation of that era, especially Warner Bros. and the Fleischer studio.
9.) favorite screwball comedy?
Without a doubt, Ball of Fire.
12.) black and white or technicolor?
I'm not choosy, as long as the film itself is good.
13.) a movie with great costume design?
Anything with Walter Plunkett's (Gone with the Wind, Can't Help Singing) or Edith Head's designs (Lady of Burlesque, Rear Window). Travis Banton, too.
