This was a sequel to "Le Rituel". Story where Tapu Bulu inhabit Nanu for the ceremony and use some plant based attacks to talk Giovanni into the ritual (hence "magic pollen").

(the summary : As Kahuna, Nanu is subjected to certain celebrations and rituals in order to ensure the appeasement of the totemic guardian of his island. But when Giovanni enters the sacred enclosure, Tapu Bulu decides that the latter had to provide the offering.)

So, after the ritual, there was a sequel envisaged but it's a WIP for forever, I'm afraid.

Here is an excerpt (in French) :

Une marche au petit jour, baignée par les premiers du rayons du soleil et la fraîcheur de l'aube était toujours agréable. Le monde s'éveillait lentement et reprenait sa parure colorée. Le bruit emplissait à nouveau l'espace, laissant derrière lui le silence mystérieux de la nuit. Deux hommes cheminaient par des sentiers, dans un silence tendu. Le plus âgé ouvrait la voie et chaque fois qu'un individu le croisait, il était salué avec respect. Le second se contentait de suivre, la mine renfrognée, la tête rentrée dans les épaules et les mains dans les poches, fermé au monde qui l'entourait.

La marche dura comme ça une grosse heure. Sans une parole prononcée. Ils étaient juste pressés d'arriver à leur destination et l'envie de faire un brin de causette ne s'était pas présentée à leur esprit. Ils avaient ainsi traversé des ruines majestueuses et un immense marais parsemé de fleurs aussi rouges que le sang qui avaient laissé les deux hommes de marbre, avant qu'ils ne se fassent surprendre par une averse subite, peu avant d'atteindre la finalité de leur cheminement. Et la pluie fut la seule chose qui leur fit émettre un son, qui s'apparentait plus au grognement furieux de l'Ursaring, qu'à l'expression humaine de la frustration de se faire détremper.

La bâtisse qui se tenait devant eux était un banal commissariat, isolé sur une route boueuse en bord de falaise. Giovanni fronça les sourcils, suspicieux, ayant crainte d'une énième entourloupe de la part du flic. Ce dernier fit même pas attention et se contenta d'ouvrir la porte d'entrée, Giovanni notant qu'il n'avait pas pris la peine de verrouiller. Trois Miaouss déboulèrent quasi-instantanément en miaulant, puis, sentant la pluie sur leur soyeux pelage, crachèrent et repartirent aussi vite à l'intérieur. Nanu entra sans plus de cérémonie, invitant Giovanni à faire de même ou à rester se faire tremper si ça lui chantait. De mauvaise grâce, il pénétra dans le repaire de son hôte et ne put réprimer une expression d'abasourdissement mêlée de répugnance sur son visage.
