no because i think about this a lot
in heroes rising, nine attacks ochaco and sends her flying. izuku catches her and says something like “oh you’ll pay for that >:(“
and i cannot stop thinking about the staggering difference between that and the absolute feral beast izuku becomes ONLY whenever katsuki’s life is put in danger.
spoilers for heroes rising, ch286, and ch387
izuku in heroes rising:
izuku after katsuki gets swiss cheesed:
izuku after katsuki “dies” (he’s coming back you can’t tell me otherwise)

okay so I finally saw heroes rising and I have some Thoughts about That One Thing That Happened:
When All Might is with Bakugou and Midoriya at the end, the two of them are laying right next to each other so (pick one):
they just happened to fall that way (not likely)
All Might moved them (honestly entirely possible)
one or both of them crawled closer to the other before passing out
Midoriya has one for all again after transferring it to Bakugou so (pick one):
the transfer didn’t complete because Bakugou passed out too soon (All Might suggests this theory and then immediately dismisses it)
One for All did something new and transferred itself back to Midoriya (honestly entirely possible—OFA also spontaneously started giving Midoriya extra quirks and letting him talk to past users—it’s known to randomly manifest abilities that were previously unheard of. However, this was also suggested by All Might, the same guy who said Midoriya wouldn’t be able to interact with the vestiges back in season two, so it’s definitely still an educated guess by a character and not the authoritative word of the author.)
before passing out, Bakugou crawled over and gave One for All back
Bakugou doesn’t remember anything about the One for All transfer so (pick one):
he had a concussion and forgot the events immediately prior (definitely possible but also there’s no way he wouldn’t have picked up that All Might and Midoriya were keeping something from him the same way he did during the joint training arc. And if he asked about it—Midoriya is like physically incapable of lying to him about One for All [c.f. the Kacchan vs. Deku #1 aftermath]. So he probably would still have found out eventually. But idk, that all could have happened off screen.)
One for All took his memories with it when it transferred back (also entirely possible—c.f. 2.2 above. But also c.f. 3.1: Bakugou would probably find out what happened anyway)
Bakugou didn’t want to admit he’d done a selfless thing to help Midoriya (returning One for All) so he pretended not to know what had happened
anyway I know every other fan saw this movie and had just about the same thought process but from hearing everybody explain their thoughts I somehow came away with the idea that the fandom had just collectively invented a better end for the movie than what the movie said happened—but when I saw it myself, it actually—I mean, the movie didn’t really say what happened at all. It cut directly to the aftermath before Bakugou and Midoriya hit the ground and then All Might guessed about what had happened after the fact. I’m honestly pretty impressed I didn’t know bnha could do subtext that well

I always found it kind of strange that Katsuma’s favourite hero was Edgeshot
But I suppose it makes a little more sense now

Ok hear me out: Kai and Nine having a cage match.
Not a real fight of course, they're just training physical combat and Chisaki is already long time into this, with their respective groups there for cheerleading (and Rappa probably wants to join). Who dominates this fight?
I see Nine dominating the fight for a single reason. His brute strength. Albeit he's a quick thinker, but when it comes to battle strategy, it seemed like he relied way too much on his Quirks. Overhaul is more strategic, relying on evaluation and far-range movements. He seems to be extremely flexible rather than hefty, so I can see him attempting to outspeed Nine, but, Nine has both far and close range, meaning Overhaul most likely can't get close enough.
However, Overhaul has a terrain advantage. If he's on the ground, you should not be. Nine does have the ability to use the Hydra Quirk to avoid the ground change, BUT it's hard to get stable if the terrain isn't. Not only that, but Overhaul's Quirk doesn't seem to have many drawbacks other than he can't grab a liquid.
Nine used the Hydras to pin and win against Overhaul, or maybe he used his Weather Manipulation Quirk(he got scolded by Overhaul after the match) to disrupt the environment.
IM SO SORRY FOR NOT RESPONDING QUICK ENOUGHH😭😭
