Metamorphisis by R Lauren
Once upon a time, in the depths of the ocean, there lived a young mermaid named Marina. Marina was fascinated by the world above the waves, especially by the majestic creatures that ruled the seas: the sharks.
Despite warnings from her family and friends about the dangers of the surface, Marina couldn't resist her curiosity. One moonlit night, she swam closer to the surface than ever before, enchanted by the shimmering light dancing on the water's surface.
As she breached the surface, a sudden storm erupted, and a massive wave crashed down upon her, sweeping her away from her home and into the turbulent waters. Struggling to stay afloat, Marina was rescued by a group of sharks who had been drawn to the commotion.
Grateful for their help, Marina befriended the sharks and learned their ways. She discovered their strength, their grace, and their fierce loyalty to one another. Over time, Marina began to feel a transformation stirring within her, a longing to become one with her newfound friends.
Driven by a powerful force she couldn't explain, Marina ventured deeper into the ocean's depths with the sharks by her side. And as she swam alongside them, she felt her tail begin to change, elongating into a sleek, powerful form reminiscent of the creatures she had come to admire.
In a breathtaking moment of metamorphosis, Marina emerged from the depths not as a mermaid, but as a magnificent shark, her heart now beating in rhythm with the pulse of the ocean. With her new family by her side, she roamed the seas, embodying the strength, beauty, and untamed spirit of the creatures she once admired from afar. And though her journey had taken an unexpected turn, Marina had never felt more at home in her own skin.
As Marina embraced her new life as a shark, she discovered a deeper connection to the ocean and its inhabitants. She swam alongside her shark companions, exploring hidden caves, vibrant coral reefs, and ancient shipwrecks. Together, they hunted for food, navigated treacherous currents, and protected their territory from intruders.
But despite her transformation, Marina's memories of her life as a mermaid remained. She longed to reunite with her family and friends, to share her incredible journey and introduce them to the world she now called home.
One day, as Marina ventured closer to the surface, she spotted a familiar figure gliding through the water above. It was her younger sister, Coral, searching desperately for her lost sibling. With a surge of emotion, Marina swam closer, revealing herself to her astonished sister.
Coral couldn't believe her eyes as she beheld her sister transformed into a magnificent shark. But as Marina shared her incredible story, Coral felt a spark of understanding ignite within her. She had always admired her sister's courage and curiosity, and now she saw those same qualities reflected in the powerful creature before her.
Together, Marina and Coral swam side by side, bridging the gap between their two worlds. Marina introduced Coral to her shark companions, and together, they embarked on new adventures, forging a bond that transcended the boundaries of land and sea.
And though Marina had undergone a remarkable transformation, her heart remained true to her roots as a mermaid. For in embracing her inner shark, she had discovered a strength and resilience she never knew she possessed, forever uniting the worlds of ocean and magic in her own extraordinary way.

did you ever read the goosebumps books growing up?
Oh yeah I did, but my library didn't have many growing up so I only read like one or two. I think I read the one where the boy gets turned into a dog and monster blood I think; I also watched the t.v. Series. My favorite episode was the girl who got scratched by a cat and started turning into a cat. (which is ironic cause I recently got violently scratched on my forearm and hand by a feral cat.)
This episode had a weird effect on my brain.
