mercury in aries: direct, candid and uncomplicated way of thinking and communicating. very opinionated and doesn't mind or can even enjoy argumentative and aggressive ways of talking and expressing thoughts. thoughts progress quickly and they do best in fast paced conversations and thinking on their feet. they don't stay too focused on the same thing for long. they are tactless but rarely dull (enthusiastic).

mercury in taurus: slow-moving, stubborn and thorough way of thinking and communicating. very practical, sometimes even to the point of valuing practicality over morals and ethics. they are conservative and thick-headed, meaning their opinions can be hard to sway and they can frustrate others because it can be hard to make things "get through" to them. their way of communicating often makes others take them seriously and they can be depended on for consistency. they can prefer demonstrations and (sensual) activities over talking.

SUN IN TAURUS

🐚 SUN DISPOSITION OVER THE HOUSES Maybe you already acknowledged this one. The sun is displayed over the chart depending on where the sun was. In other words, your sun will be over or under the horizon—the AC/DC axis—depending on the hour you where born. Around 6AM to 18PM from the 7 to the 12H. And around 18PM to 6AM from 1 to 6H. The time will vary according to the year season. This can be useful to make a mental image of the chart just by knowing the time of birth

🐚 PLUTO DOMINANT/ASPECTS/8H PLANETS Intimacy issues. From my observations I can say that in SOME cases, it can be expressed as having serious issues with intimacy. There is some kind of blockage. Difficulty opening up. And that can vary between being emotionally closed and sexually closed. Can be something unconscious—hidden—so there it comes the lack of control. Control. Something that Pluto is addicted to. With Pluto comes the phobia, fear or trauma. But as I said, this is something subconscious so there’s a solution that can be found in yourself. These aspects could be compared with the pandora box, in which you don't want to open up about it or just with few ppl

🐚 CAPRICORN WOMEN Business Woman vibes. You can notice from far when a woman has capri in her personal planets. I noticed that Capricorn Ascendant is different. The aura that they present is looking older, serious or more responsable, these are those girls that from a young age have to grow up. For example, one of my friends have this ascendant and when she was just 6 she knew about Santa Claus… she couldn’t enjoy that childhood fantasy, she had and still have to take care of her younger sister, as if she was the mother… With the Sun you give the vibe of a leader and it looks like you have everything figured out, even if you are a mess. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, restrain, responsibility, and rules the 10 House, work and public image. The influence of this energy makes you independent and craves recognition. They are like babies that need 8 hours sleep and eating at x time. In general earth signs like Virgo and Capricorn are like this, but in my experience Taurus stands out. I have to say that this can be applied in other areas as going to the gym or as I said going to sleep every night at 9/10pm

ASTROLOGY OBSERVATIONS PART TWO

Pisces Moons are honestly one of my favorite placements. I swear to god it is like they are operating from a different dimension and it is so funny. Oftentimes, their honesty is what gets them into trouble rather than the things they keep hidden. They remind me of little kids in school who won’t stop blurting out things during class, like they just can’t help themselves. They are naive when it comes to practicality, but they have a sense of wisdom that is projected with ease at exactly the right moments.

Mercury in Capricorn individuals are not a fan of gossip. I think that they are good at spotting misinformation, and they do not like it when people exaggerate stories. I’ve noticed that they communicate through action. Rather than saying, they simply just do.

A lot of people look towards Cancers to find a sense of direction. People with prominent Cancer placements fall into leadership positions because other people push them into it rather than seeking it out. People with Cancer placements radiate a sense of ease and people are very drawn to that.

People with Venus in the 12th house seemingly have resources that come out of nowhere.. Whether that is due to stealing or luck depends, but these types need to be careful because jail time is commonly seen with people who have 12th house placements. Trying to con and cheat may lead to some substantial gains, but it is soon followed by the lofty price of karma.

People with their Sun in the 10th house should shoot for a career in reality television, I have noticed a ridiculous amount of reality tv stars with this placement.

Pluto in the 9th house gives off cult leader vibes.

People who have Neptune in the 4th house are unable to see their childhood for what it actually was. They tend to rely on an idealized version of what happened. I have noticed that some sort of hidden substance addiction within the family is often involved.

Having a Moon in the 3rd house might mean being a mother figure to your siblings, or one of you siblings was a mother figure.

People with Mercury in Cancer are great poets, especially when writing about topics that are usually hidden away and not discussed. Their voices are comforting.

Those who have Mars in Leo get loud when angry, they are not afraid to roar and I’ve even heard some of them growl bahaha.

-a Saturn return for someone with Saturn in the 8th house may involve losing someone important to them. That experience will force them to learn to process and face grief and loss head on. They may get an inheritance out of it

-cancer ascendants tend to have soft features in general, rounded faces, large eyes and small but plump lips

-a Saturn return for someone with Saturn in the 10th house may involve literally changing career paths. You may have been working the same kind of job for years and then your Saturn return happens and you realize “that’s not what it want anymore”. This can also happen for people with Saturn in the 6th house

-people with Lilith in the 9th house has had major beef with a teacher/tutor of theirs at least once during their school days. Everything that teacher did left a bad taste in their mouth. If the native comes from a very religious family, they hated the preacher lol

-contrary to popular belief, Pisces mars natives are far from weak, they’re just lazy as hell and need a little extra push to get things done

-people with a lot of 12th house placements feel the most energized at nighttime and they always have trouble with their sleep patterns

-women with Lilith in the 11th house tend to have to deal with men who pretend to be their friend but secretly want to sleep with them and will jump at any opportunity to get in their pants

December 2023 Important Dates

AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's December forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. As you can see from the calendar, this is quite the busy month. I've put the recap at the end again for those interested in mundane astrology. Generally, it's about the October 28th lunar eclipse in Taurus.

We're entering the month off a Mars-Saturn square on November 25th, and Mercury has already entered his pre-retrograde shadow (during the rx he will go back to about 22 degrees of Sagittarius). There's been a Mars-Saturn square making motion grind to a halt, and though it present frustrations and delayed gratification, Mars-Saturn can also indicate perseverance and relentlessness.

December 1st - Mercury enters Capricorn The next day he sextiles Saturn, further activating that Saturn-Mars square. He'll retrograde back into Sagittarius later. Mercury will trine Jupiter in Taurus around the 7th-8th, and sextile Venus when she enters Scorpio, bringing us some helpful communication in the first half of the month. The second half will be very different, though, as he retrogrades and conjoins Mars--think explosive arguments or disrupted communication like in late October-early November. Do your careful planning and mapping while Mercury is constructive in Capricorn, as his regress into Sagittarius will bring have us acting recklessly out of necessity.

December 2nd & 3rd - Auspicious Elections (not pictured)

The charts are both around 1:35AM local time and takes advantage of Mercury's application to a trine with Jupiter, before the chaos of retrograde & contacting Mars. It also takes advantage of the last bit of Venus in Libra.

On December 2nd, the chart has Libra rising with Venus in domicile in the first (whole sign) house. The Moon is in Leo, either applying to or just separating from a square with Jupiter, and trine the Sun in Sagittarius in the 11th house. This is a good Venus-related chart, for things that need to appeal aesthetically to others or unify people. As this is a night chart, Venus is also the sect benefic, and is especially equipped to help things build up and grow (plus she's in a position of strength in the first house). Venus elections are also good for design, getting back in touch with people & other social activities, and working together. Venus in Libra is especially good for bringing together two things that are at odds, whether it's disagreeing friends or disparate business endeavors. Although the degree of Venus isn't too important in timing this, Chris recommends trying to get the Midheaven around 5-6 degrees of Cancer, so that it sextiles Jupiter in the eighth house. The Moon rules the 10th house and is in the 11th house of friends, making this a good election for friends, groups, and social movements.

The 2nd is the primary election, but the 3rd has most of the same benefits. The Moon is later in Leo, now applying directly to a sextile with Venus, emphasizing her themes of unity and reconciliation as well as tying in the 11th house of groups & alliances even more strongly.

December 4th - Venus enters Scorpio Though in detriment here, Venus is opposite Jupiter in her sign (exact December 9th-10th, especially activated by a conjunction from the Moon), and this reception & contact bring forth more helpful qualities. She will also overtake slowing Mercury by sextile around December 10th-11th, bringing some reconciliation to our communications. However, the New Moon conjunct Mars will pose some challenges.

December 6th - Neptune stations direct

December 12th - New Moon in Sagittarius

A close square to (newly direct) Neptune adds some nebulousness to the picture, and a loose conjunction from Mars to the lights, with Mercury stationing soon after, mean things may not go as planned. Mercury's configurations to the benefics seem hopeful, but we should expect some misalignment and miscommunication over the following weeks. Additionally, Mars's proximity to the Sun means he'll be coloring the next few nations with martial qualities. This New Moon sort of resets things for the month.

December 13th - Mercury stations retrograde The Moon enters Capricorn and conjoins Mercury soon after his station, which will further trigger or activate general Mercury retrograde significations.

December 21st - Sun enters Capricorn

December 22nd - Retrograde Mercury conjoins Sun (Cazimi) This occurs in at zero degrees of Capricorn and marks the halfway/turning point in the retrograde. Normally we'd expect to start figuring out what's wrong and begin heading out of the woods, but once in Sagittarius Mercury approaches a conjunction with Mars, changing the layout of our path. Sometimes looking to the past for actions will bring up old conflicts, or further investigation into a problem reveals that we have to rethink our entire approach.

December 23rd - Retrograde Mercury enters Sagittarius Discussed above.

December 26th - Full Moon in Cancer

Mercury at 25 Sagittarius and Mars at 23 bring even more heightened emotions than usual to this Full Moon (think tense communications). Neptune squaring Mercury and Mars adds further muddies the waters; expect a mix of hostility and misunderstanding. Meanwhile, the Moon is in domicile and both lights form soft aspects to Jupiter, which Austin compares to a nice country breakfast. It's like getting an idyllic Christmas postcard along with some poisoned arrows. Being home for the holidays is comforting and familiar, but we may also fight with our relatives, perhaps over politics. A Neptune-Venus trine brings a dreamy, escapist quality to the lunation as well. This lunation will hit different people very differently. (Those with emphasis on the lights, Jupiter, or cardinal signs will do well, while those with strong mutable placements may feel strife, etc.)

December 27th - Retrograde Mercury conjoins Mars This is the second of three Mercury-Mars conjunctions, the first having been around the October eclipse in Scorpio, and the next one occurring in Capricorn during late January. Mercury will station direct at 22 degrees of Sagittarius on the first couple days of the New Year, and will be slowly chasing Mars for most of January.

December 29th - Venus enters Sagittarius This is a fairly big shift, as she immediately squares Saturn, dumping a bucket of ice water on our attempts to come together on New Year's Eve gatherings.

December 30th - Jupiter stations direct This station can be a positive turning point for anyone with important Taurus placements nearby. Austin points out that Jupiter's usually retrograde for about ⅓ of the year (he entered Taurus in May and stationed retrograde in September), giving us time to reevaluate things and see whether we've failed or succeeded. It's like a shock absorber as we traverse this bumpy road. We can try to stabilize things in the midst of a destructive world. The rapid growth and expansion we were feeling this summer may start to come back, visible in the part of your life corresponding to the house Taurus occupies in your chart. Strike while the Iron's hot, as we've got until May before Jupiter enters Gemini. Uranus is copresent in the sign and may remind us of previous Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions: unexpected growth, innovation, and benefits from out of the blue.

November Recap:

The last forecast was recorded days before a lunar eclipse in Taurus on October 28th, which heralded several world events not discussed in the November forecast. In Palestine this coincided with the beginning of ground invasion and telecom blackout (Mercury-Mars involvement=severing of communication). Last month our hosts predicted the Venus-Mercury sextile would indicate brief diplomacy in this situation, and we saw the beginning of "humanitarian pauses" as well as negotiations around prisoner exchange. Chris wants to emphasize that more civilians have died in these two months in Gaza than in the entire Ukraine war, and predicts that larger geopolitical tensions are likely to rise as world leaders split with each other and their constituents over these events. He sees upcoming eclipses in 2025 as well as Uranus in Gemini (USA return) heralding possibility of larger global conflicts. Austin reiterates from last month that the North Node near Mars (as was the cast 10/28) indicates, in combat, using force madly beyond what is necessary or proportionate.

In US politics, Joe Biden has the Moon in early Taurus and thus the last eclipse cycle has been getting closer and closer to his natal moon, with 10/28 being the closest. Because it's in the 6th house our hosts had speculated about his health, but in this case it seems to have affected his work more (another 6th house topic), as his prospects for reelection have been plummeting. In early October the US House fired the Speaker of the House right on the last stretch of the US Pluto return, and eventually Mike Johnson was elected speaker on the 25th--born on a lunar eclipse and appointed to this office 3 days before another. This fits with Chris's findings lately that a person born on an eclipse will have other life events occur on them as well. Chris's concerns around the breakdown of US democracy with its Pluto return events seem well-founded, as Johnson had a significant part in trying to overturn Biden's election and is now third in line for the presidency, as well as in a critical role for the 2024 election.

Other eclipse stories: Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX infamy was found guilty of one of the largest US fraud operations during a Taurus (signifying money) eclipse. Matthew Perry of Friends fame passed away, who was born under and published his autobiography near a lunar eclipse as well.

On November 17th-18th there was an exact Sun-Mars conjunction (cazimi) in Scorpio, and in tech news the board of OpenAI fired the CEO/founder, described among business and tech circles as "closest thing to a boardroom assassination" they'd ever seen. Chris predicts Pluto reentering Aquarius in two months will indicate major developments in the use of AI technology. Pluto was in Aquarius earlier this year for a couple months, giving us a preview of the next 20 years (aside from a brief 2-month dip back into Capricorn next fall before leaving for good).

Mercury in Aries - Try to exercise more patience, less sense of urgency. This can generate a lot of anxiety. Look at the other options more openly. Be careful not to impose too much your thinking on others, and this ends up generating several conflicts around you. tips: meditation, breathing exercises.

Mercury in Taurus: Work on adapting to changes in plans, understand that not everything will go the way you planned. Understanding things in a practical and objective way is important, but being open to other ways of interpreting can be great. Don't be inflexible with life itself and with the change of direction. Work your mind to understand points in life that may go unnoticed by your mind, still focused on thinking like years ago.

Mercury in Gemini - Don't push yourself mentally - your mind does a lot of work in an entire day. Try to analyze things before starting them. Know something in more depth before you believe you know them. Take time to rest your mind and do something that relaxes you, that doesn't influences your thoughts. And I say this for the tendency to feel anxiety. Try as much as possible to remove simultaneous stimuli from (study) environments, this will greatly impact your productivity and efficiency.

Mercury in Cancer: Don't analyze things solely on the basis of emotions. This may be how you function and this is who you are, this is your essence, but that doesn't mean that nothing can improve. Emotions are important, but understand that not everything the other does can be based on an emotional issue. Don't hold annoyances, as they can surface in the future, contaminating the interpretation of situations and people. In short: don't take things personally. Talk about your annoyances! this will avoid problems.

Mercury in Leo - Work your acceptance to hear 'No' when you expected 'Yes'. Try to understand when something can't be done. Don't communicate aggressively or defensively after hearing something different from what you expected - such as a criticism. Notice tendencies to demand a lot of attention when it is not the case to receive it. Use your creativity and power of expression in your favor, constructively, taking others into consideration as well. Believe in your potential.

Mercury in Virgo: Try not to see everything in a practical way. exercise the pleasure of looking at what has already been done, and less at what needs to be done. Don't blame yourself so much for the mistakes you make. Try to be less critical and appreciate your time more as a way to relax a little too. Work your creative side, reception for abstract messages is something very important for a healthy psychological, as well as for self-knowledge. Not everything is made of concreteness and objectivity.

Mercury in Libra - Incorporate into your mental activity things that are also related to yourself, purely understanding, without involving anyone else. Learn to communicate sad things as well. Remember your potentials. Doubt less of something you have noticed, decided, said. Depend less on the analysis of others and create internal parameters to decide if what you did was good or bad. Realize the problems around you, stopping to avoid conflicts of ideas all the time - which are sometimes necessary. Understand who you are: take time to yourself and understand your thoughts, the root of your decisions. Don't be such a perfectionist. Take care of your mental health and how much other people's expectations affect you.

Mercury in Scorpio: Work on your mental inflexibility. Understand more the faults of others, from a more comprehensive point of view. Understand more openly the peaks and troughs of life, and even your personality. Don't hold grudge, anger, explain what you think of something - from the beginning, because holding it will generate an accumulation of information that will most likely be distorted by your mind. Beware of extreme views of people or things. Use your ability to be observant.

Mercury in Sagittarius - Watch out for a tendency to over-imagine things, idealizing them and seeing life in a very different way than it is: a life that will tend to work out even if you don't do something. We always have to do something. Pay attention to indiscipline and try to be more realistic. Beware of promises you make to others and a tendency to be mentally irresponsible.

Mercury in Capricorn: Don't try to control every detail. Accept that things will get out of your control. Beware of a possible habit of forgetting to consider other needs because yours are involved. Planning is important, but understanding unforeseen events too. Let go more, let things flow. Don't analyze everything as if it needed to have an end goal. People and emotions don't need earthly and concrete filters - not always.

Mercury in Aquarius - It's extremely important to understand your flow of thoughts. You tend to think a lot, reflect on different points of the same question, starting at one point and ending at another. This can be great for analyzing problems, finding solutions, understanding issues. But it can also complicate your life a lot, especially when dealing with matters that need to be externalized, talked about. Therefore, be very careful with a tendency to always want to understand a subject from the inside and forget about exchanges, conversations, to externalize. Work on practicality: making thoughts useful, which is certainly possible to do, as you tend to be deep mentally speaking. Beware of anxiety. The more you empty the "mental cup" somehow before it fills up, the better it will be for your mental health. If practicality is difficult, as Aquarius is a much more "aerial" sign, work on your creative side! Use music, for example, as a way to lighten the mental load. Dialogue.

Mercury in Pisces: Try not to be so impacted by everything around you, whether visions about you or what happens in general. Or, if this is complicated, try to notice when you are impacted by something that had nothing to do with you, but that you later incorporated into your thoughts. Don't be soooo fickle, use your ability to go in other ways to your advantage. Use this ability to grow in your individuality: Pisces is a great sign for studying things that for others seem difficult and complex to decipher, especially those related to the emotional. Believe in your communication and persuasion potential as long as you move intelligently, working with the knowledge you tend to have / absorb of what others are, want, need.
