it’s literally so batshit how women can write complete male characters but it is immediately obvious when a female character was written by a man because their whole personality is essentially “I have boobs”
it’s almost like women think about the male perspective on a daily basis but there is apparently only a handful of men on the planet who have considered what it might be like to be a woman for more than 5 minutes….

"Women write men weird too!"
I'm not denying that, but when reading, I keep on noticing a clear difference in most books on how they describe attractive characters of the opposite sex.
Men write women as if they're pieces put together. They mention how she looks, how sexy she is, everything about her body. The protagonist looks her up and down like she's a painting. A painting that they think is there's for the taking and not like she's her own person. They objectify, not sexualize. Like she's just an object of desire meant to fill the male protagonists needs.
Women will sexualize men, but not objectivfy them. They talk about how his smile quirks up when talking or how the tone of his voice sounds when he is talking about something he is passionate about. Or they mention his eyes and how much emotion they hold. They talk about him as if he is a whole person, focusing on his body language and emotions and how he expresses himself. They sexualize, but keep him human.
I'm not saying men can't write women well or women only write men like this. I'm just saying this is what I've noticed.

Why is it that Kaitou Kid has had more erotic moments with Shinichi and Amuro than with Aoko?
Later: I've been thinking about what is the difference between erotic attraction and sexual attraction, and I've come to the conclusion that I think erotic attraction is when you have an interest in someone that is not "I want to look at them and feel them."
They're interested in Kaitou Kid because he's a challenge to them as detectives, and his personality stands out compared to other villains.
It all comes down to the fact that Gosho and other Shonen authors can't write women.

So, uh, there's something that i want to ask, but i don't know if i should? You've pretty open to NSFW asks, so i got kinda curious about the hair style of the RO's, you know, hair style... down there...
(Just ignore this if you don't think it's cool to answer this)
When writing i dont think ima describe their hair or whatever down there, it just feels really icky as a male writer lmao
Dont wanna do a case of "Men writing women" and end up like:

Men writing about male characters being sent to prison:
Male character: This is the worst thing I can imagine! I might get sexually harrassed!
Men writing women getting sexually harrassed:
Female character: It's a compliment 😘

I like in period dramas when a woman is supposed to be strong and a feminist so they dress her in more masculine clothing,
as though there weren’t strong feminists of the time who specifically decided not to wear masculine or different clothing because no one took them seriously when they did.
Because you know, men strong, women weak. To convey strength we must dress her in man clothes because men strong. She must reject corset, because corset evil. Now all her clothes will be really uncomfortable because they are made to fit with a corset and the corset distributes the weight but no, corset bad.
And of course she doesn’t want to do women’s work, such as sewing, or cooking the food necessary to live. We will have her deliver a baby later though, because she’s a woman so she’d know how to do that.
She will also have messy hair because brushing one’s hair is a sign of femininity, despite the woman almost always living in an era where men were paying particular attention to either their facial hair, their wigs, and/or their makeup.
To recap:
Messy hair=strong woman.
Masculine clothing=feminism.
No corset=freedom
She will of course have shaved legs and armpits though. She’s still a woman after all and as we all know, women have been shaving since the beginning of time.
She’ll also end up being the object of attraction to literally all of them men because she’s not like other girls. No, she’s one of the bros.
She rides astride and she knows how to shoot a gun and/or use a sword. Her father probably taught her before he died, and now, 10 years later, with no further training and no partner to practice with, she’s an expert and will probably beat several fully trained experts in a duel.
Feminism.
Edit: to be clear I’m a feminist and I like when feminists are in movies. What irks me is lazy writing and an inability to use google. And writing tropes that don’t make one lick of sense.

this moment was so out of character what was this? 😩
like i get he felt like nancy wasn't being her true self (which was true imo) but yknow what would've been a BETTER way to show that? a FLASHBACK. like the numerous of will previously in this SAME episode. like how abt a flashback of nancy (maybe with barb considering what happens to her right after) before she dated steve, maybe jonathan dropping off will at the wheelers and getting a glimpse of her real self contrasted with how she's acting in this scene. then we would actually get some character development of nancy in this scene instead of her just being there for jonathan/steve to admire whilst also building a bond between jonathan and nancy, of jonathan seeing nancy as a real complex person.
the only reason for this scene to exist was for jonathan to take a pic of barb for nancy to see but even then nancy was already concerned abt barb going missing and so that scene of her looking for barb and running into a monster could've happened anyway.
this moment literally had no reason to exist and just made jonathan look really bad and showed off how LITTLE the duffers understand abt consent that they would write this as a sympathetic moment where the audience is supposed to root for jonathan taking his pics. when i think of this scene i just get annoyed at the duffers, not jonathan bc like jonathan is a fictional character and the duffers write for him to do this yk and also in my eyes its just really out of character for jonathan to do this.
like this scene is literally one of the biggest hurdles to shipping jancy for me. esp bc its played off as Not A Big Deal and nancy just doesn't care abt having her privacy invaded ig (very men writing women moment). like nancy deserved better than being creeped on and jonathan deserved better than being written as a creep

Yeah they probably shouldn’t be doing that. I’m a bit concerned about the fact your breasts have eyes.
