I have this very vivid image of the scene in Oops that introduces Cybertron and it is just Decepticon High Command contacting Shockwave and it being answered by a teeny tiny Perceptor who hasn't quite mastered language yet and can only beep and chirp. When it first is answered, they are all confused, but then a polite beep makes them look down to see Perceptor standing in a chair barely visible.
They are all kind of struck until Shockwave casually walks in, picks up Perceptor to balance on his hip, and asks him very formal questions about what happened only to be answered by equally formal beeps and chirps. Then he examines the screen and perks up, fully excited to see Megatron and the others clicking to make it full screen. He only pauses in his rush after someone points out Perceptor and he says, "My apologies, my Lord. This is my Progeny."
He calls him, Progeny or the progeny the entire time until Perceptor is old enough to inform him of his name. The meeting does get a bit awkward when he gets at a loss for words when Megatron asks for an update. He's interrupted by Moonracer chasing a seemingly invisible figure in leaving small purple footprints and giggling when she catches him. She very triumphantly tells "Shocky" that the paint traps worked only to find all of Decepticon High Command, plus a tiny Rodimus staring at her. She tells Shockwave, in a very kind tone, "I'll take Progie, and you can explain." Then she vamooses with the kids, her own blue-and-white one flickering back into view with a yawn.
Now, Shockwave has to explain that the unexpected baby boom triggered a ceasefire between both sides as they had medical professionals, and he had resources.
And he may or may not have entered a romantic liasion with Moonracer after believing Megatron was well and truly gone.

Absolutely love your blog, may I make a request? Perhaps tfp MegaShock, with a trip to the laboratory becoming very interesting
Megatron huffs, stomping through the halls of the Nemesis. Shockwave is intending on informing his dear Lord Megatron that the energon supply was dangerously low and discussing how to ration the remaining fuel. The lab’s door slides open quietly, the grey mech seething with annoyance, bordering anger. Shockwave seems to be captivated in cool-colored test tubes and beakers.
Megatron’s frustrated complexion fades away, he silently sneaks up behind Shockwave, slipping his arms around the purple bot’s waist. Poor Shockwave, his frame tenses when Megatron’s digits trace over his interface panel. He wants to finish his work, he really does.
“Bend over the examination table for your Lord, hm?” The scientist moves his equipment out of the way, Shockwave carefully angles himself over the table, both of their panels slide out of the way. Megatron wastes no time, he starts to rock his spike into Shockwave’s valve.
Whines and static fill Shockwave’s vocalizer as Megatron’s servos steady him on Shockwave’s aft. This would be a longer visit than Shockwave expected.

Transformers Prime Headcanons (MegaShock)
not all of these are gonna be serious
megatron has no shame when flirting with shockwave in public/in front of others
shockwave just accepts it blankly and returns back to his work
while he doesn’t often express his emotions, this doesn’t mean he’s emotionless. shockwave is very much in love with megatron
shockwave’s love language is quality time, and while he doesn’t like to admit it, physical touch
megatron compliments his rack and shockwave just stares at him blankly and doesn’t respond
megatron has memorized how to make shockwave flustered
one little gentleman-ly kiss on the hand makes shockwave go insane
sometimes when megatron knows no one will be entering the lab, he just holds shockwave from behind as he works
sometimes shockwave just lays in megatron’s lap. one time knock-out and starscream walked in and they were disgusted
shockwave’s form of kissing is nuzzling the side of his head into megatron’s neck.
megatron has intrusive thoughts about picking up shockwave by his whore waist and swinging him around. he knows he physically wouldn’t be able to do it, but what if
predaking is like their dog that can turn into a whole ass guy. like brian from family guy except that is definitely not what brian from family guy is like
megatron has cuteness aggression and there are bite marks on shockwave that constantly need to be buffed out. not because he cares, but he doesn’t want to be bothered by people taking it another way like hickeys but no megatron was happy to see shockwave after a long day and bit him
they tried to keep their relationship semi-private on the nemisis but knock-out and starscream found out and would not let it down
shockwave one time tried to flirt with megatron (he is notoriously bad at it) and just called him logical
sometimes they just lay and hold each other in silence
knockout said that they should do one of those “old people slow dances”. both were confused but when knockout gave them the run down they tried it
it went horribly
shockwave can’t even see his own FEET. plus that big ol cord got in the way
and his cannon arm
it just didn’t go well

megatron is very big on complimenting shockwave’s appearance and build. shockwave doesn’t very much see the appeal, he considers himself of standard build
