exam rambles

I looked over the suggestions from my committee member for 17th cent lit and he took a bunch of stuff off my list (mostly good, but he clearly didn’t think I need to read about John Ford ;_;), added a few, and halfway removed Lawrence Stone (‘you should know about him, but I don’t expect you to actually read most of what he wrote’ GOOD I’VE HATED HIM FROM UNDERGRAD).

I think it’s a net gain—most of the stuff he added looks more interesting than what I had (except on Ford!!), but even though it’s much shorter than my terrifying 16th-cent list, it’s still kind of ... aghhhhhhhh.

And that’s not considering the 18th-cent list :) :) :)

#i always procrastinate and i usually manage to make it work for me but ... yeah. we'll see.#at least i did the 18th for my ma exams so i've already read a bunch of that and it'll be my last exam anyway #and i've read a lot of the 16th bc it has early 17th cent drama on it #but if i survive 17th poetry and essays and secondary sources it'll be... something #anghraine babbles #ivory tower blogging #lol my bio father called and was like oh how are you doing?#me: *tries to come up with an answer that isn't a primal scream* oh... okay...
