Hi! I hope this doesn’t sound rude or critical (I LOVE TGP just as it is!) but have you considered splitting the work into multiple stories making up a series? You mentioned there are specific arcs or “books” so it doesn’t seem like a narrative conflict. I only ask because it’s harder for new readers to invest in a 300,000 word story than a long series split into 100,000 word chunks. Love the story and was SO EXCITED by chapter 29!

hm...i had considered that, but i realized i'd rather have it all in one place. if someone starts the series with the intention to read it all the way through (like "books" 1, 2, etc...) it just makes sense to have it all together, especially since splitting it up could have people jump into like, part 2 for example without having read part 1, which most people wouldn't do but if someone's gonna read this story, it's best read from the beginning. i know it's harder for new readers to invest in a story this length (was actually having a panic moment about this exact thing with a friend last night...believe me, this is something i think about a LOT, and it's kinda become a bit of a sore spot) but, it is what it is. tpg is long as fuck, and no amount of splitting it up would change that.
