alpharetta gerard you will forever be famous

like from all the live footage i've seen over the years this is the most upbeat and physical and energised i've seen gerard in a very long time. i really thought it was an age thing, they're all older, they've all grown past the theatricality of it all, and he seems to really love just taking a beat of stillness these days and singing while he can see everybody and hear them sing back at him, and that's lovely. but what absolutely fucks me up is all these little mannerisms of playfulness that came back last night. they strut around the stage and twirled around and did little high kicks into the air. his great big grin. hands on hips. posing their little poses. doing a little dance just because. letting the music this band loves as much as we do drive forward each step and to just kneel there and bask in it and it was done with a huge smile because they felt so happy so happy so happy

thinking about the fact that now the tour is over that means either a live album, lotms 2, a regular album, or all three are closer than ever before to coming out and we literally just have to sit here lying in wait until they slap us across the face with it on a random tuesday like they did with foundations, point is something is coming i can feel it in my bones
