Example of an ESFJ-ENFP romantic relationship: Kataang

ENFPs (Aang) and ESFJs (Katara) are very outgoing and bonds over their compassion and empathy for others.

ESFJ is more traditional than ENFP and tends to keep a tight schedule. However, these qualities may inspire ENFP to become more focused on their own goals in life. At the same time, ENFP’s openness to new experiences and flexibility may inspire ESFJ to let go of the reins from time to time and try something new.

Both ENFPs and ENFJs love adventure and enjoy plenty of travel and memories that strengthen their bond.

infj: *like they're talking to a stubborn child* ok, you need take off those layers, rehydrate, and to go to the doctor.

entp: thank you for your concern. now please turn the thermostat up to 90(F) and leave me alone.

infj: *crosses arms* entp, this isn't safe.

entp: i am a fully grown human adult. i have had a cold before. therefore, i need no help! *stands up* so, if you don't min- *passes out taking chair with them*

infj: *unfazed* yep, that seems about right.

entp: i would once again like to object to being brought here against my will. *handing infj their finished hospital form*

infj: entp! you redacted (blacked out) all the information!?

entp: i answered some of it.

infj: *again with a voice like talking to a stubborn child* everything you write down is confidential, we need you to give real answers on the form.

entp: *gruff groan like a small bear* mmf fine.

infj: ok, *starts filling out form for entp* how many drinks of alcohol do you consume per week?

infj: *surprised tone* that's it only one drink?

entp: one shelf.

infj: *disappointed but not surprised expression*

entp: yes. wood working and love making. *winks at infj*

infj: *rolls eyes and writes on chart*

entp: *nods* i have an uncle who's a flat-earther.

entp: cowardice and weak willed people. oh, and hazelnuts.

entp: epic, and private *small smirk*

[intj doctor comes in, with no greetings or small talk and begins putting on gloves]

infj: entp, this is Dr.Intj. they're going to evaluate you.

entp: before you begin, some ground rules. first i need you to explain everything you are going to do before you do it. so i can determine whether i will allow you to- uargh! *intj sticks tongue depressor in entp's mouth*

entp: *intj removes tongue depressor* uggh. balsa-wood? you could at least used mahogany.

[has entp lay down and check for abdominal pain]

intj: *presses on left side of abdomen*

entp: *child-like giggle from being ticklish*

[intj gets entp sat up and starts writing on prescription pad]

intj: you have strep throat. writing you a prescription for penicillin.

INTP as your partner

Will reply with a suspiciously accurate percentage if you ask the odds of anything. And also be pessimistic about it. "There's a 63,4% chance we'll get caught".

But don't worry, if you're dating and you ask them to rate you out of ten, forget about answers like "maybe a 7,28 on a good day". You're a 10/10 for them. "I mean why did you even look my way??"

Squeezes your hand 3 times as an "I love you".

Sharing a fandom as a love language. "I'll watch this thing you like when you watch this thing I like".

Their heart will automatically be yours the moment you get them a gift related to their specific interests.

You will never guess how romantic they actually are once they get confidence in themselves.

Will probably collapse after hearing the first I love you in person and become unable to say it back immediately, but not because it isn't mutual. Just pure shock and happiness.

Shows love with physical touch and acts of service, but wants to hear words of affirmation as they can be very insecure.

Will begin an incredibly enriching and progressive discussion about all topical and serious issues in the most educated way you'll ever hear, wholeheartedly believing every single word they're saying yet 12 minutes later they'll tell a dark joke about oppressing minorities.

You'll never have to worry about finding something problematic in their most recent Google searches. It'll be like "[current hyperfixation]", "what does [extremely popular tiktok slang word] mean", "[weirdly specific videogame] subreddit"...

Will get the hint at some point in the next 4-5 business days. Absolutely not when it matters. "Oh how on Earth did I miss that?!"

Kinda nsfw-ish! The biggest simp in sexier times. And more creative than what you'd expect. "You can use my lap as a throne". "An angel has fallen on me". That kinda simp.

I hope these provide some insight! However, I suspect you were looking for less of a personal reflection and moreso a socionics analysis, so here's that:

Each the reverse inverse of the other's ego, ISTPs and INFJs are partners and playmates. In the expanded theory of Myers-Briggs, this pairing is known as "Supplement", and in Socionics its denominated "Activation".

This pairing can resemble complements; however, these relations are somewhat less fulfilling (hence "supplementary" rather than "complementary"). Activation relationships are often romantic if both partners find each other attractive. These relationships are often very easy to start, as both partners share either extraversion or introversion. Introvert activation relationships appear reserved.(a)

When presented with the same scenario, Supplement pairs will begin reasoning from different angles but ultimately follow the same logic. It's like racing the same track but starting from opposite sides of the loop; they arrive at the same conclusion by retracing each other's path, ending up in agreement but for different reasons.

For ISTPs and INFJs, this is likely to lead to both mutual appreciation and fascination. They find each other's perspectives useful for connecting the dots. Their constructive rapport and unique affinity makes them good partners in both work and play; while they don't quite balance each other like yin and yang, they do fit together and finish each other, like yin and upsidedown yin.

While INFJs seek external harmony, ISTPs value internal consistency. The INFJ will be intrigued by the ISTP's mental frameworks, and the ISTP will be compelled by the INFJ's holistic analyses.

As a couple, the ISTP and INFJ will remain somewhat mysterious to each other, yet one will always meet the other where they are at. As two developed individuals, they will naturally have each other's backs. Where the INFJ struggles to structure their world the ISTP will step in to help, and where the ISTP lacks insight into their choices the INFJ will offer wisdom.

However, as two undeveloped individuals, the ISTP and INFJ will easily slide into codependency and contempt. The INFJ will resent the ISTP for their unwillingness to engage in emotional labor, and the ISTP will feel burdened by the INFJ's avoidance of technical labor.

To avoid these pitfalls, the INFJ will have to get their shit together, and the ISTP will have to face their wounds. The INFJ may benefit from a coach, and the ISTP needs a therapist, rather than each asking the other to fulfill that role for them. Once they address these personal liabilities, they can flourish into a fruitful interdependence where they find safety, stability, and deep trust in each other.

Peace and quiet is a high for us— We need time to recharge, alone, by ourselves.
