On May the 1st we celebrate the fourth sabbath of the Wheel of the year, the midpoint between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.
We celebrate the bloom of nature, the beginning of summer, the moment in which the earth is most fertile and so are animals and plants.
We celebrate flowers, the queen of flowers, the goddesses Persephone, Flora, Demeter and the Antesphoria festival, Floralia festival, Chloeia Festival.
We celebrate the horned god, Dionysus, the Anthesteria Festival.
We celebrate the union, the conceive, the hierogamy.
As it happens in the counterpart sabbath of Samhain the veil between our world and the underworld gets thinner creating a meeting between the two worlds.
We cherish the spirits by lighting sacred fires, we dance around the sacred pole to honor and recall the fertility of the earth.

1a. Moira’s knowing look means that while she may not know the intimate details of their relationship in a way that, say, Rita does, she knows enough to know that the question is absurd, which indicates that Nick and June’s relationship isn’t trivialized in Toronto.
2. In comparison, when Mackenzie demonizes June at dinner, Nick is visibly upset and can’t even feign neutrality
and while Nick is very smart and has made many calculated decisions, there is always this undercurrent of impulsivity and honesty when it comes to June where he can’t mask his affection, which is why
3. He takes a chance to speak to Tuello because he just has to tell him that he wants to be the one to tell June about Rose
which puts him at risk
4. June’s exhale when Nick says her name and how relieved she looks, much like in 4x09, much like in 4x03, much like in 3x03 etc. etc.
5. During the phone call, when Nick tries to assure June about Hannah, he compliments Hannah by saying that she has some of June’s qualities
and in comparison when Nick asks June about Holly, she tells him that she loves the present she got him
6. I’ve had a few conversations and seen a few takes about how June takes Nick for granted or uses him and I’ve always pushed back on that and her reaction to his marriage is a good example of this. When he tells her he can’t move to Hannah’s district because he’s married, she doesn’t begrudge him, she doesn’t yell at him, she doesn’t lament that he was her only option to him, she’s a) heartbroken
b) echoes his words back to him
because she loves him.
7. Nick hanging up the phone because him being happy, being truly happy, would be being with June and Holly
and June crying (because, yes, the situation with Hannah) because the man she loves is married.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Medieval Gardening Social this past weekend, and an extra thank you to all who donated to the Bee Conservancy. :)
With weather that seemed gifted from the party gods themselves, paired with the wonderful attendants, and the uplifting atmosphere we couldn't have asked for a better soft opening for Loreamour.
Thank you as well to all who attended for your wonderful comments, and insight which is so greatly appreciated as we continue to fine-tune and polish this gem.
There will always be room to grow and evolve, and we couldn't be more excited. Especially knowing we have such a wonderful support network by our side.
