Do you think the Jedi ever held bake sales?
Like they’re a religious order, they’re monks and all, and I know I’m thinking of the typical Church bake sale and they probably didn’t do those but…
Can you imagine Anakin and Ahsoka going to extreme lengths to outdo each other, Obi-Wan claiming he’s going to stay out of it - something happens so both Anakin and Ahsoka’s bakes get ruined, probably because of their own hijinks, and Obi-Wan then waltzes in and wins?
Can you imagine Yoda trying to get some Coruscant folks to buy his deep fried frogs on a stick?
Can you imagine pre-fall!Dooku stressing over intricate pipe work and making a cake worthy of a Bake Off finale?
Can you imagine Barriss and Luminara collaborating together on a dish, silently judging Ahsoka and Anakin’s shenanigans?

To anyone who didn’t watch Rebels but did watch Ahsoka: it’s important to me that you know that Chopper is actually a war criminal and not just a sweet little droid

You know one of the biggest differences I've noticed between the original trilogy books and the new Ahsoka show?
In the books, absolutely no one knew who the kriff Thrawn was.
Pellaeon's still adjusting to a new commander, who he follows loyally, but doesn't 100% trust until book 2. The Republic doesn't even learn his name until the end of book 1, and they're still debating whether he's an actual Grand Admiral or self-declared through book 2.
All of the Thrawn's threat - all of his menace to the New Republic, all of his weight as an antagonist - are discovered by the reader at the same time the characters are finding it out.
It's the perfect balance of showing and telling - we get to see Thrawn gain victories by being clever, with Pellaeon. We get to hear about how nervous he makes Karrde - a character we've learned is brilliant and menacing in his own right, and makes our heroes nervous, so how much more must Thrawn be? We get to see him make brilliant deductions and turn up just in the right place and the right time to corner our heroes, again and again.
The Sluis Van attack buildup was perfect - we keep hearing about from Pellaeon, hearing that Thrawn's planning an attack and Pellaeon himself is a bit skeptical, but it's coming, how's it going to work? What's going to happen? Meanwhile the mole miners were stolen, and there's this new cloaking field, and how's it all going to come together...?
And suddenly Han's there, with Luke and Lando, and Wedge, and we're waiting with baited breath because we know it's all about to fall apart but how are our brilliant heroes going to get out of this one?
It's an amazing buildup, fantastic suspense, and really brings home the different perspectives of the characters. And establishes Thrawn as an actual, major threat, that everyone should be worried about.
But then in Ahsoka, it's like they've skipped straight to the Duology, when everyone knows who Thrawn is because he almost conquered the New Republic. But he hasn't done that, in canon, so we're left wondering why everyone's supposed to be worried when, as far as we've seen, he couldn't even beat Phoenix Squadron.
Heck, setting aside our own out of character knowledge, it makes Xiono look right. Who cares about a single Imperial warlord with a single half-destroyed ship? What's this guy actually done?
We know - those of us who know his story. But it's not shown. Why should the characters think him a threat? Why should we?
After all, all we've seen of him is Rebels. And in Rebels... he lost.

I see people say they want a genuine live action clone wars and like yes in theory that would be awsome but…
What i would love is if they just un-cancelled the animated clone wars and just gave us a bunch of new arcs
And then have a bunch of live action clone wars flashbacks in Ahsoka

Does this mean Clan Wren is alive in your AU? And by "Clan Wren", I really mean Tristan, since I ship him with Ezra.
very very little of clan wren's alive, could be like 4 ppl tops who knows, but i think its unrealistic every single clanmember died. ON TRISTAN i've been flipflopping between yes and no since the show started. bc on the one hand all of sabine's family being dead works rlly well narratively, she's lost every mandalorian she loves and her whole culture and home planet and has some severe survivors guilt bc she should've been with them instead of her other (also half dead) family and she's dealing with it by being in her fleabag girlfailure era and trying to completely ignore the fact she's mandalorian at all. plus i don't want to disregard ALL of canon gotta keep some things.
on the other hand that's sad and also trizra

Okay. Well. Since the writers and actors are unable to say it because of the strike, and because Ashley Eckstein probably isn’t a 100% on how this was all written so she can’t say it (and clearly, I’m not either, but I have a damned good idea), I’m going to say it (what Ashley would say):
“Be patient with Ahsoka.”
Yes, she’s older. No, she’s not going to be “snips”. She’s not going to act like the person you knew before in The Clone Wars (she was forged there), but by the end of her series, she’s going to be more like the character you know and love.
I’m going to give this to you all for free:
Ahsoka is broken, like, very broken at this point in her series. She’s stoic. She’s crossing her arms, but she’s doing that so that she doesn’t literally come undone. She’s holding herself together, but she’s basically doing so by a frayed thread.
Ahsoka has been through a lot.
She was a child soldier that always felt she had something to prove, and while acting confident, in reality, she was overcompensating to hide her imposter syndrome. Then, the temple bombing… the people she loved the most turned their backs on her for political reasons. Once worse, a person she loved and trusted framed her for said bombing. Her heart was shattered into a million pieces when Barriss was revealed to be the culprit. Ahsoka wanted nothing more than to be a Jedi, but she couldn’t stay. She had to leave. Realizing she couldn’t run from what she was (“Ahsoka is Jedi”), she returned to fight in the Siege of Mandalore only to be betrayed again by her brothers in arms as they executed Order 66. The family she left behind was slaughtered. Her brothers in arms died in large part due to the fact that she let Maul go. Her sister-in-law passed away with a broken heart. Her brother lost. Ahsoka went into hiding. She spent a decade and a half in solitude as a spy fighting in the rebellion, and just as she began opening herself up again to her people, she found out that her brother was at least partially responsible for the genocide of the Jedi, the fall of the Republic and rise of the Empire. It struck her so hard that she passed out. She spent nearly a year trying to prove herself wrong, only to face off with him in the Temple on Malachor. Clearly riddled with an insurmountable amount of guilt, she was willing to sacrifice herself as a means to an end only to get ripped through a time portal. Returning to her own time, Ahsoka faced an unseen trial on Malachor that further tormented her.
Then, Ahsoka returned to Lothal (likely to find Ezra, but instead found Sabine… I would imagine that they attempted to look for Ezra and failed… this is the likely reason Ahsoka was missing from the Original Trilogy action). She began training Sabine and something went sideways. Then, Ahsoka ends up back in solitude, alone…fighting the good fight, not facing her trauma.
I’ll stop now, and say that Sabine is not the only one who is plagued with nightmares. Ahsoka felt what Sabine was going through in that hospital bed on a personal level.
And, so, what do we have to look forward to? If we end up with an Ahsoka the White (which is inevitable), Ahsoka’s Balrog is going to be her guilt. It’s going to be the shadow that Anakin Skywalker has cast upon her very being. It is her fear of becoming him. It is her unrelenting torment of leaving him behind, and somehow feeling responsible for his downfall. And, she’ll face it. It’s coming. Be patient.

Ahsoka season 2 brainstorming: practical and impractical ways to get the girls* back from Peridea
*Ahsoka, Sabine, AND Shin. (...and David Tennant, the Howler wolf, and the turtles)
(1) just use the force (somehow)
Tumblr media
step 1: use the force
steps 2~10: ???
step 11: profit girls are home yay
(2) purrgil wearing a hyperspace-ring backpack
Tumblr media
(Behold my astonishing drawing skills. You're astonished right.)
Since the purrgil migratory route from Seatos to Peridea only seems to go one way (because the whales go there to die), they'd have to build a mini Eye of Sion so they can all get back after Ezra hitches a ride there. Purrgil know the way to Peridia; Ezra knows the coordinates of home already.
(Will Thrawn be staking out Seatos to try to prevent this? Yes. Will that make it funnier when Ezra does it anyway and gets away with it? Most definitely 👍👍)
(3) use the "somehow, Palpatine returned" method
Tumblr media
The audience:
Tumblr media
(Mate, Disney did it first. This is now an in-canon way to Solve Problems.)
(4) Mortis Gods temple ruins on Lothal=secret yet convenient portal
Tumblr media
Ezra "the force is all I need" Bridger will use his amazing Space Jesus powers and *insert additional justifications relating to loth-wolves, world-between-worlds, Lothal magic, Morai etc*, Ezra will open the portal on one side and the girls, working as a team in a way that will make us all cry, will open from the other side
(additionally, because we are not crying enough yet, there will be a cameo from Kanan!loth-wolf/DumeWolf. You're welcome)
(additionally additionally, the deal Ahsoka made with the Mortis Gods to make this possible means she will now die to repay the debt. Because the writers really want us to cry. A lot.)
...okay everyone YOUR TURN add on your most practical and impractical ideas
