the bad batch s3 cyborg tech theory

been seeing a lot of 'what if tech is turned into a cyborg by the empire' theories lately and I have my version: what if he's being turned into a cyborg by the empire but he's not being brainwashed and turned into an antagonist? simply as a hostage? essentially like echo in tcw? many ppl have pointed out that their death scenes are very similar (we don't see the corpse, just a belonging of theirs: echo with his helmet and tech the goggles) and all those 'tech is not dead' theories got me thinking maybe they are going to pull a tcw s7 here... ok now let's get to the main part: captain rex is kinda confirmed for s3. you know who rescued echo from the techno union in tcw? rex and tech. it would just be a great parallel if... y'know, rex and echo rescue tech from the empire in tbb season 3. and also to people losing hope ab them not resurrecting tech because it's the final season and they don't have enough episodes to establish that arc: don't be!! if they managed to fit in the rescuing echo arc within 1-2 episodes of tcw, surely they can do it again;)
