Rewatching The Untamed, especially after having read th novel it was based on, is so surreal, because now i have context for everything. i can sit here and analyze every subtle facial expression and understand what they were actually trying to convey. Like a few weeks ago, i watched th episode wear WWX was teasing LWJ in th Tortoise of Slaughter gave about having a crush on Mianmian. and the LOOK that boy gave WWX literally screamed, no you dumbass i'm in love with YOU. and it's just really cool to be able to look at it from the perspective of knowing what happens (it also makes all of the sad scenes EVEN MORE PAINFUL TO WATCH but i DIGRESS).

Random Thoughts on My First Foray into BL

I started reading Master of Demonic Cultivation recently, since I'd never actually read a purposeful BL story or a cultivation one, and really, I have to wonder what's up with Wei Wuxian. Like, things kind of go like:

Wei Wuxian: I'm not really into men, unlike Mo Xuanyu.

Also Wei Wuxian: *Goes into exhaustive detail on how gorgeous Lan Wangji is while basically ignoring everyone else's appearance*

Wei Wuxian: Yeah, I spent loads of time drinking and playing around with girls back when I was the Yiling Patriarch.

Also Wei Wuxian: *flashbacks to his youth and the Wei Wuxian of the past internally can't stop talking about how handsome Lan Wangji is*

Wei Wuxian: I know, I'll take advantage of how much Lan Wangji loves his personal space to get him to leave me alone! *Proceeds to straddle him in bed and try to pin him down*

The scale of MXTX characters hand writing from Worst to Best

Hua Cheng: literally intelligible, those basically aren't even words any.

Wei wuxian: the equivalent of a sleep deprived adhd stem student notes right before an exam. Technically legible but only to him, people who know him really well.

Luo Binghe: it's good. Not outstanding but Nicely legible, pretty when it needs to be.

Shen Qingqiu: technically there's nothing wrong with his hand writing, but His writing is too modern for the Xianxia settings he's living in and although it's not too much of a problem it's definitely enough to make peoples eyebrow raise.

Xie Lian: stunningly beautiful calligraphy. Truly just art in written form.

Lan wangji: the most beautiful and technically perfect hand writing you have everything seen. Calligraphy teachers weap with joy when they see his writing.
