How I would rank the various Transformers series:
Love:
- IDW1 - phase 2 (MTMTE, Windblade and RID)
- Earthspark
- Prime
- Cyberverse Series 3 and the specials
- The War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games (I use screenshots I took of those games for art references all the time)
Like:
-IDW1 - phase 3 (Lost Light, TAAO and OP, I feel the latter especially got dragged down due to the shoehorned in hasbro universe crossovers, like visionaries, and all the books suffered from the rushed ending and reboot)
- Animated
-The Bumblebee movie
- Skybound's Transformers comic (got the best take on G1 Optimus for a long time, though I'm not thrilled about the GI Joe crossover part)
- The 1986 movie
- Cyberverse Series 2
- IDW2 (works a lot better when you read it all at once rather than as single issues)
- IDW Shattered Glass ( though I felt the first series was a lot stronger than the second)
-Transformers 2007 film
- IDW Beast Wars Comics
- Headmasters (in a so bad it's good way, the show itself is awful XD)
It's okay:
-G1 cartoon
- The Aligned Novels
- RID2015 (I think it's dragged down because it's really poor sequel to prime, partly because it was aiming at a much younger audience so there's a big disconnect in tone between the two shows, it would have worked a lot better if it'd just been it's own thing.)
- Age of Extinction
- Cyberverse Series 1
- Dark of the Moon
- Netflix Kingdom (I think it's the best of the trilogy but I hate how it just killed off Elita etc, who were the best part of Earthrise, off-screen)
- Netflix War for Cybertron
- The G1 Marvel Comics
- IDW1- phase 1
Didn't like:
- Last bot standing (It's just too dark for my tastes)
- Beast Machines
- Energon
- IDW King Grimlock
- Japanese G1 manga (it's just not for me)
- The G2 Marvel Comics
- The machinima Prime wars Trilogy (combiner wars etc., the way Megatron was characterised was the only redeeming feature of that series)
- Netflix Earthrise (Just awful, though I liked the Elita one segments.)
Hated:
- Dreamwave comics (awful art and the fact it was a scam company makes them even worse in retrospect)
- Rise of the Dark spark game (awful, laggy game and it had a game breaking glitch which bricked my PC the first time I played it, and I haven't bothered playing it again since! The fragged-up business decisions behind the game makes it even worse.)
- The last Knight
- Revenge of the Fallen
Haven't seen/ haven't seen enough of it to make a judgement:
Victory and Other Japanese-only G1 and Beast wars series, except headmasters
Beast Wars, I just can't get past the uncanny valley 90s CGI animation, sorry.
RID2001
Armada
Cybertron
Rescue bots and RB Academy
Botbots
Rise of the Beasts
I probably missed some out! And this is just my personal opinion. How would you rank them?

Howdy! I was wondering if I could request a part 2 to Debris? It’ll be a year after the incident and WandaNat finally made a move on R. The three are dating and it’s still in the honeymoon stage. Overall just very fluffy, but the Avengers need Carol for a mission. Carol being back makes R a little jumpy because R doesn’t fully trust Carol alone with them unless there’s somebody else in the room.
Unless you already had an idea or weren’t gonna write a part 2 you can totally disregard lol. Have a great day/night :)
P.S. you write so beautifully! I hope to see more of your fics whenever you release them!! :))
Debris Part 2: Reconstruction
First part: Debris Part 1
WRITING REQUESTS ARE OPEN!!!
Word count: 4k
A/N: I'm baccckkkkkk... sorry for the unofficial hiatus. I missed y'all a lot and decided requests were the best way to revive my blog. Also thank you to @theprinceofmarvel for the lovely request and the very kind compliments. Any appeals to my ego are always appreciated lol. Anyways, I hope you enjoy part 2 of debris! :)
--
After "The Incident," as you have come to call it, what happened afterward came in phases. First, you spent the majority of your days' training or sulking on Natasha and Wanda's couch. This lasted a couple of weeks before Natasha forced you out of your slump and back into the real world. She forced you to take a full-length shower because, according to her, you smelled like "rot and sadness." The comment would have hurt had you not caught a whiff of yourself as she said it. Next, she and Wanda took you out to eat something other than spicy chips and shredded cheese.
The next phase happened subtly throughout those first couple of weeks and onward. Without ever formally discussing it, all three of you started to move your stuff into their condo. At first, it was small stuff like toothbrushes and pajama pants. Then, it progressed into blankets, most of your wardrobe, and miscellaneous decor. That was when they offered you their spare room permanently. All three of you knew that the idea of staying in your old condo, Carol's old condo, sent your gut churning with dread.
The entire floor still smelled of her, still held little traces of her here and there. Everything from her favorite beer still lying in the fridge to her bottles of cologne made your chest twist up with a concoction of fear and aching want. They were like monuments to what the two of you never quite had in the first place: contentment. You realized that more and more when you observed Wanda and Natasha. From date nights to stolen kisses and inside jokes, you felt resentment overtake your previous sense of longing. Carol had never provided you with any of those things. When falling in love with Captain Marvel, there was no security or sense of domesticity. There was only a vague feeling of being dragged along and repeatedly put on a shelf. There were half-hearted promises and unfulfilling quickies when she was there and radio silence when she was not. Which was all too often.
That realization made way for the final phase, almost a year after The Incident. You had just returned home from a short-term mission to find your roommates waiting for you. If you had not known better, you would have sworn they were almost nervous. Wanda was fiddling with her hands, her dexterous fingers flexing and bending with unconscious habit. Natasha would have been the perfect mask of stoicism were it not for her subtle pattern of growing anxious whenever her partner was agitated.
Wanda had shot to her feet, her smile warm and eager at the sight of you. "Y/n! Welcome back; how was the trip home?"
You offered them both a grin of your own and settled down on the couch beside Natasha, "Exhausting, the turbulence prevented me from getting a nap in on the way back," you confessed. "Plus, my arms are killing me from having to scale that building."
The assassin let out a sympathetic hum and rubbed your shoulder, "Well, you are home safe now, and that is all that matters to me." She glanced over at her partner, arching her brow in silent question. Wanda nodded as if knowing exactly what the woman was requesting.
The witch turned back to face you, "Y/n, we were thinking of celebrating your safe return with a night out."
Nat quickly added, "After you rest, of course, wouldn't want you collapsing on us, would we?" She teased, lightly nudging you with an elbow.
"That sounds amazing."
You remember that night as a whirl of noise, color, and bliss. The three of you danced, drank, and talked the night away, fully enraptured by the feeling of being beside each other. The look the two of them gave you whenever you spoke dripped with pure adoration and joy. You found yourself returning the expression tenfold.
At the night's end, they took you down to an isolated boardwalk just outside of the city. The three of you sat, legs dangling over the dock in content silence. The water glistened in with the light of millions behind you as the city remained awake as if it, too, were waiting for what would happen next.
Wanda spoke first, "Tonight was perfect," she turned to face the both of you, "you two were perfect."
You grinned and reached over to grasp her hand, "I can't thank you two enough for this. I've never been happier."
Nat smiled, her face growing more uncertain than you had ever seen it, "Speaking of happier, Wan and I were thinking that maybe we could take you out like this in a more romantic setting."
Your heart began to staccato in its cage. "What do you mean?"
Wanda cleared her throat, "Over the past few months, I fear we have fallen a tiny bit in love with you, honey."
You furrowed your brows in confusion, "But, what about the two of you?"
Natasha gave you an amused look. "We would still be together, sunshine. We would just be adding a new member, so to speak."
"But after Carol, you can't honestly want to-"
Wanda placed a hand on your cheek, effectively silencing you. "This has nothing to do with her. What the three of us share has never had anything to do with what she did to you, Y/n. You are not a charity project for us to repair; you never have been. You are someone we love and respect enough to want to spend every waking moment with you."
Nat spoke up, "And don't try and deny that you don't feel the same, darling. What we have shared over these past few months has been far from a casual friendship."
You were choking on tears, your face cracking into a shaky grin. You nodded eagerly, "I love you two more than I ever thought I was capable of loving anyone. Your home, our home, has become my sanctuary, and I cannot wait to have you two as long as you will have me."
Natasha stood and helped you to your feet, Wanda not close behind. Placing a firm kiss on your cheek, which the other woman mirrored, she chuckled, "Get comfy, sunshine; we'll be having you for a long time."
--
To say you were happy would be a gross understatement. Every day you woke up beside your partners was a day spent in pure bliss. The three of you spent most of your days attached at the hip. If Natasha wanted to train in the downstairs gym, you and Wanda would not be far behind. If Wanda went to bed, the other two would follow. Currently, you were lying across your girlfriends' laps. Your head rested in Wanda's lap while your lower half lounged across Nat's. The witch watched the movie playing while gently massaging your head. Well-groomed nails scratched your scalp, allowing a content groan to fall from your lips.
Wanda smirked down at you, "I am that good, huh?"
"You have no idea," you muttered in reply, eyes slipping shut.
"You are absolutely precious, sunshine," the witch murmured, moving to trace the apple of your cheek.
You grumbled in protest, however, made no effort to reply as you turned to bury your face in her shirt. The shirt in question was a well-worn SHIELD shirt you had stolen from Nat before Wanda inevitably snatched it from you.
"Y/n, don't you dare fall asleep in the middle of movie night. You promised you wouldn't do that again," said Nat, shaking your calf slightly. She was met with the sound of your breathing evening out. She huffed, "I swear, I'm not carrying her to bed this time. She can wake up and walk herself."
Wanda gave her partner a bullshit look and glanced down at their girlfriend. "You and I both know you are lying, Nat. Look at her. How could you possibly leave a face this cute to sleep on the lonely couch?"
Nat pursed her lips and sighed, "I can't," she confessed. Standing, she tucked her arm under the crook of your knees and along your back. She carried you across the room and down the hall as if you weighed nothing more than a gallon of milk. Mumbling sounds fell from your lips as you drew closer to the familiar warmth guiding you. Inhaling the comforting scent of maple and balsam, you buried your nose in the shoulder of Natasha's sweatshirt.
The assassin tenderly set you onto the mattress and pressed a kiss to your temple.
--
The next morning, your peaceful slumber was interrupted by an urgent voice above you.
"Y/n, wake up; Fury called for an emergency meeting."
You groaned and heaved yourself up, "Can't it wait until later?"
Nat clucked her tongue, "No, that's why it is called an emergency meeting, sunshine."
"Fine, let me get dressed," you dragged yourself out of bed and into the bathroom.
In the meeting room, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, an extremely hungover Tony Stark, and Wanda sat around a long table. Nick Fury stood at the head, nodding slightly as the two of you entered and sat beside Maximoff.
"Thank you for coming. I just received word from a field agent that an old alien terrorist group has reformed and started attacking cities along the East Coast. They were subdued by Captain Marvel in 2015; however, it seems they have come back with more forces and better technology," he explained. "That is why all of you, along with Captain Marvel, will be spending all of your efforts as of now to take them out for good."
You felt the blood in your veins ice over at the mention of Carol. You cleared your throat, "Um, I thought Car- Captain Marvel wasn't joining us on missions anymore?"
Nick leveled you with a neutral expression, "Regardless of your history with Captain Marvel, I expect you two to work professionally. The better you two collaborate, the faster you can part ways."
Nat sat in her chair, an outraged expression etched on her face, "I hardly think that is fair, Fury. After what happened, I don't think Marvel deserves-"
Nick raised a hand and spoke over her, "This meeting is over; I don't want to hear any more complaints about the details of this mission, am I clear?"
The assassin grit her teeth, "Crystal," she shot up in her chair and strode from the room. Wanda, sporting a similarly furious expression, followed close behind. You shot an apologetic look to Fury and scurried after your companions.
"He should have let you know sooner."
"I don't think there was any way of him knowing sooner."
"That bitch won't be let anywhere near you," Wanda hissed; crimson light wreathed her clenched fists.
"If this threat really is as serious as it seems, I don't think we have much of a choice in the matter," you muttered, teeth worrying at your lower lip. "I appreciate it, though," you reached to grab her glowing hand, allowing the fingers to unfold and the tendrils to dissipate from her palms.
"We have your back, sunshine," Natasha assured, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
--
Try as they might, the Avengers tower was only so big, and you could not stay with them forever. You were heading down to the communal kitchen the first time you ran into Carol. The three of you had your own kitchen in the condo; however, the public one was where Tony kept all his expensive snack food. Instead of foreign chips and gourmet chocolates, you were met with your ex-girlfriend sitting on a marble countertop drinking coffee. She wore an Airforce muscle tank top that would have made your panties drop only a year before. Now, the very sight of her made your body tense painfully. She hadn't changed; her biceps were still perfectly toned, her short hair slightly ruffled over her face as it often was in the mornings. Her body still radiated a terrifying power that nearly had you running back toward the elevator.
"It's nice to see you again." The sudden comment rang out in the empty room like a gunshot. You nearly leaped from your skin, eyes locked onto her ever-intense gaze. You swallowed and nodded before pivoting on your heel to leave. "Wait!" You flinched at her tone and looked over your shoulder towards her. "How have you been? You look... healthy," you could hear the caution in her voice as if the wrong word would send you fleeing.
"We don't have to do this, Carol," you muttered, eyes never leaving hers, watching for any sudden movements like one would an apex predator.
"I want to," she replied quickly, "I would like to catch up with you."
"Well, I have been busy with work; other than that, nothing special," you lied. You did not owe Carol the knowledge of your relationship status.
She forced a chuckle, "Yeah, same..." It was silent for a moment before Danvers started to move closer to you. Panic grasped at you as you subtly moved back towards the door. "Y/n, I wanted to talk to you about-"
"Move any closer to her, and you will lose your head, Danvers," Wanda barked from the other entrance across the room.
Carol's face tightened with frustration; however, she quickly masked it as the witch made her way over to you. Your girlfriend wrapped her arms around your waist before pulling you in for a slightly possessive kiss. You smiled at her as she pulled away, her hand remaining on the small of your back.
"Captain, I think you would find it in your best efforts to stay away from Y/n while back on Earth," Wanda advised, her tone frigid and stiff.
"I was just saying hello, Maximoff," she replied, hands raised in surrender.
Wanda angled her body in front of you as if to act as a wall between you and your ex. She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes, "Well, you have said hello. You may go now."
"I will see you later, okay, Y/n?" Carol craned her neck over Wanda's shoulder to look at you. Your gaze remained glued to the floor as your girlfriend's hand grasped your own. Carol sighed and stormed towards the door. The moment the blonde was gone, Wanda whirled around, her hands cupping your cheeks. "Are you alright, baby girl? What did she say to you?"
You offered your girlfriend a shaky grin and leaned forward to press a kiss to the corner of her mouth, "I am fine, Wan. She really was just trying to say hello."
Wanda narrowed her eyes, "Well, she better keep herself away from you from now on."
You giggled, "You're such a mother hen."
"I think I am perfectly reasonable; now, let's go back upstairs."
Wanda filled Natasha in on the events of that morning, causing the assassin to fuss over you just as your other partner had. "Sunshine, are you okay?"
You snickered and glanced between the two women, "You are both ridiculous. I am fine."
"I know you can take care of yourself, but can you blame us?" Nat replied, pulling you into an embrace.
"I am a grown adult who can deal with an ex-girlfriend without having a freakout." It wasn't a total lie, not technically. Even if you can't breathe when you come face to face with Carol, you can still navigate an almost civil conversation with her without sprinting from the room.
"Still, if anything ever goes south with her, make sure to reach out to me in your mind. I will always hear you."
"Thank you, Wanda. I love both of you so much, and I promise I will be fine with Carol around."
--
You were not fine with Carol around. Not even close. Every time the two of you would run into each other, the blonde would attempt to corner you into a conversation. You would panic and make a quick excuse to flee the scene. All you saw when you looked at her was the look in her eyes that night she nearly shot a hole through your chest with her photon blasters.
You became rather good at avoiding her until you decided to work out in the training room. It was late in the afternoon, and most of the Avengers were having a game night upstairs. Not really in the gaming mood, you wandered down to the workout facility, clad in a sports bra and tight bike shorts. Grabbing a towel from a rack near the front entrance, you wandered into the main room. Ready to head over to the treadmills, you were stopped in your tracks at the familiar sound of a photon blast exploding from a hand.
It felt like a bucket of cold water dumped over you as the sight of Carol practicing her photon attacks came into vision. You froze. Your limbs locked up as visions of that night filled your vision. Her words, awful and hostile on her tongue, the feeling of debris covering your arms and hair.
"..ey, Y/n? Y/n, are you okay?" You snapped out of your frozen state as Carol waved a hand in front of your face. You flinched and backed away from the woman.
"Wh-what?" You stammered.
"I was asking if you were okay? You kind of froze," Carol replied, attempting to reach for your shoulder in comfort. She quickly remembered herself, however, and stuffed her hands in the pockets of her sweatpants. You glanced down at her hands, and over to the blast-resistant dummy she was practicing on. Realization seemed to dawn on Carol's face as she turned to look at the practice mannequin. "Fuck, right. About that night, Y/n. I wasn't myself, and I am so sorry. I never would have done that had we-"
"I need to leave," you cut her off, stumbling away. You weren't ready to have this conversation. You never would be. Not with her. Not ever.
"Y/n, please, we need to have this conversation. I have been trying to have this talk with you for days now. Your...Wanda and Natasha keep preventing it from happening."
"We don't need to have this talk. You want to have this talk. Now I need to go; Wanda and Nat probably want to know where I am."
"Speaking of those two, why the hell are they so touchy-feely with you?"
"A lot can change in a year, Captain," you muttered.
"You cannot seriously be with both of them? What about us?"
"There is no us, Carol," your voice shook as you worked to move away from her.
"There should be, though. We were meant to be together, Y/n. I promise that night will never happen again. I will stay this time, for good. I will let you see that one friend. The one from that night."
"I don't need you to 'let' me do anything," you snapped, anger replacing your fear.
"Of course, that is not what I meant. You know that."
"No, I don't think I do know that, Carol."
"Can we just talk this out, please?" Carol stepped towards you, grasping your wrist.
Panic coursed through your veins as you attempted to wrench yourself out of her grip. The might of Captain Marvel easily overpowered your efforts. "Let go, Carol. I don't want to talk anymore."
"We need to talk about this. Please, we'll both feel better once we talk."
"No! Let go of me!" You gasped, chest collapsing in on itself as you trembled in her grasp. You continued to stammer pleas before Carol dove in and erased the gap between you. Her lips were rough and overwhelming. Her heat was now foreign and hostile as you attempted to push her off of you. Air caught in your lungs, refusing to circulate to the rest of your body. You wheezed into the kiss and jerked your body in her grasp like a fish.
Wanda, please. Training room, please help.
It was moments before you heard the rumbling of two sets of feet stomping down the stairs into the training facility. Faster than either of you could react, Carol was sent flying across the room, her back colliding with the wall-to-wall mirror. Crimson light radiated from Wanda as she hovered above the floor, her eyes glowing with primal fury.
Natasha raced over to you, pulling you into her grasp and forming a physical barrier between you and Carol Danvers. You burrowed yourself further into her hold and watched as dumbells, medicine balls, and treadmills floated from the ground and circled around Wanda's gravitational pull of power. She moved closer to Carol, who was desperately flailing in the woman's grasp.
"I told you what would happen if you ever laid a hand on her again, Danvers," she roared. "I warned you that I would gut you if you ever came near her again."
"Let me go, Maximoff. It was a mistake."
"You might think you are tough shit. But, I assure you I could kill you in seconds without breaking a sweat."
You whimpered, burying your face into Nat's sweater. The assassin shushed you softly and rested a hand on the base of your head, tucking you closer to her chest. "Wanda," she rasped, rocking the both of you from side to side as gently as possible. "Wanda, babe."
The woman turned to face the two of you, her eyes still lit with an unnatural red glow. The tendrils of magic were wrapped firmly around Carol's neck and arms, causing her face to grow pale and sweaty as air escaped her lungs.
"As much as I would love to assist in grinding her ass into dust, I don't think this is the best time." You let out a shaky sob; Natasha cooed softly and swayed you faster.
Wanda's face softened, and the gym equipment around her crashed to the floor with a thunderous crash. The glow disappeared from her eyes, and Carol collapsed onto the floor. You felt your other girlfriend race to your side.
Natasha let you go, allowing you to fall into Wanda's embrace. The woman muttered sweet nothings against your temple and laid kisses along the crown of your head. "Are you alright, darling?"
You sniffled and nodded, "Can we get out of here?"
"Of course, I am so sorry."
Natasha pulled away from the two of you, "Go to the condo and rest, both of you."
Wanda nodded and led you out of the room and into the elevator. Once you were out of earshot, the assassin turned to face an incredibly disheveled Carol. "Let me make a few things clear, Danvers. You will tell Fury that you wish to stay in a hotel for the rest of your stay on Earth. When you are forced to be around us, you will not look or breathe in the direction of either of my girlfriends. Are we understood?"
Carol nodded, her gaze locked on the floor below her.
Natasha marched over to her and grabbed the woman's shirt collar. "She doesn't need or want you anymore, Danvers. We gave her everything you were unwilling to provide. She has moved on from your sorry ass, so I think it is in your best interest to do the same."
The blonde nodded, "You're right."
"I know. Stay away from my family, Captain."

——
It’s been a few short weeks, Stark Tower was running high and low with noise.
New York City lights in contacts to the skyline views that the home brought to the world. Voices from the young heroes were softly heard. You could hear Liane and her friends screaming over the sound of the tv wired up in the living room and the hallways were being used as a reminder of how huge the building truly was.
But underneath the main lounge floor, past the elevator doors and across the narrow halls stood the tapping of nails against a keyboard humming a soft tune, that was played earlier from the afternoon radio. Files surrounding her desk as she spun in the chair for a while, as it reminded her of older memories at The Mansion’s lab.
The laughs and the louder bickering over bullshit that didn’t matter but it did at the time. Trinkets and posters surrounded the lab back then, it still does now but as many as Stark Tower.
She missed it, weather she liked to admit it or not.
And she wasn’t the only one.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft knocking that belonged to a tall blonde with fluffy hair, sweatpants and a baby blue t-shirt, carrying two mugs of warm hot chocolate. She nodded, inviting him into the room as he took a seat near the empty chair, gently placing the mug into her palms as she took a peek noticing a few tiny marshmallows.
She hummed as she took a delightful sip of the warm drink.
He noticed she wasn’t upstairs for a while now. Something that never bothered him, he’s used to his creative minds spending longer than expected in the lab tinkering. However having seen what he would assume the worse of it from Tony in 2010, noticing his eyes bloodshot and the lights making his body appear weak, he made it a promise to watch the time to bring whoever was in the lab to bed.
Tonight it was Elizabeth.
She’s a Stark. So he can’t stop her being in a lab to invent something, since that’s one of places she shined. Aside from the stage of course. He have noticed her getting a new scope of the world, having been gone under the ice for a while now. He knew she had her own ways of doing things, as she handled the transition better than expected but it had him worried.
Does she believe that she’s not doing enough?
He has been there himself plenty of times, where he feels useless and annoyed around everyone but he never showed it. Everything phases him, just not exactly his face. With one swift look at her vulnerable face, the tired eyes and gentle smile that could light up the stars, he knew.
He has been around theses people long enough to not know. Especially since JARVIS tend to be the house’s eyes and ears, it all added up to this point and he wasn’t upset about it
Elizabeth’s eyes analyzed his facial expressions, noticing the small bags under his eyes and the way his shoulders dropped ever so slightly. He smiled softly at her, placing the mug of hot chocolate that was in his hand onto the desk. All she wanted was to rest her head on his shoulder and hear his smooth southern drawl as he hummed a old song while she drifted to sleep.
But she wonder, if she left asleep and let herself take a breath, then that would mean her inventions would be unfinished. Her work would’ve not been done and the studies she has been doing lately would have left aside. It was silly to think she was putting all this unnecessary work onto herself when she doesn’t need it but it made her feel like she was doing something.
Then it clicked.
“How long have you know?” She asked, running her fingers crossed the side of the mug
“A month or so.” He replied, playing with the fabric of his sweatpants.
“I never told you.”
“Jarvis told me a less than month ago.”
“No…”
“We all just wanted you home.”
She sighed, “You should have told me.”
“I’m not sorry.” He added, with a honest smile.
He smiled placing a hand on her knee and said, “I knew you’ll work until the idea was done.”
“The idea’s not done.” She replied, placing a hand over his and sighed.
“But you’re tired and deserve a chance to be with our son.”
“He’s Howard’s son, I’m just his overprotective aunt.”
“We both know your more than that to him. You don’t need to prove anything, you said it yourself years ago.”
“I know…um but still my work, my life. I just want to make sure I’m worth all of it and I’m leaving a legacy behind..”
He sighs and smiled, “Just look around and you’ll see the difference you made.”
“We made.” She corrected him with a smile.
The two chuckled soft at that.
Nonetheless, Jason continued, “Look around at how lucky we are, just to be alive right now is a miracle. And that’s saying a lot knowing what we’ve been through.”
“Will you relish being a silly inventor’s spouse?” She added, as it sounded like a question, “Somewhat dependent, not about to provide for our life? It’s stupid I know, we’re in a good place but it feels like the roles are reversed and i don’t know why..I don’t feel as independent yet. I mean, we used to have Jarvis and Ana to help us. Peggy too! And now we’re sorta alone at this..”
“It’s not easy, it never was but we can handle it. And that not true, you’re more than confident and independent. Give it time.”
“How much time? How did you do it? Let’s face it, I’m here now, I have been awaken from the ice for a considerable period of time, but it still feels odd. We both has been working for a long time and sometimes it felt like we can’t breath again because of it. The world is changing a lot more than expected…so do you still relish all of this?”
“Your just tired and a little vulnerable right now, honey. It’s okay, no rush here. But to answer your question, yes, I do. I also relish you someday being my wife. Just look around, look at where you are. Look at where you started..the fact that you’re alive is a miracle. Just stay alive, that would be enough.”
She smiled hearing those words, “Yeah. I guess I am tired…and a little worried, I just want to be the best version I can be.”
“You already you.” He added with a chuckle, “Our child shares a fraction of your smile and dare I say, a fragment of your mind just as much as he does Howard!”
“Oh good god he’s smarter than I thought!”
“And his ego too. I love him but damn, it’s wild.”
“Oh yeah, he’s more than enough to make a difference in the world. We’re safe then.”
They both smiled and laughed harder than expected knowing how many godchildren Tony gave them. So look out world, that would be enough.
He looped a finger underneath her chin, “Look, I don’t pretend to know the challenges you’re facing. The worlds you keep erasing and creating in your mind. Your reading more than i do when it comes to understand everything we can.”
“Mhmm! It’s hard moving from one era to another.” She admits with a light chuckle, “..sometimes I don’t know how we’ve done it for so long and haven’t driven ourselves mad.”
“I know...but I’m not as afraid as I should. I know who I married. So long as we all come home at the end of the day..”
“That would be enough. Uh, about our legacy and the money?”
“Liz.”
“Jason. I’m serious.”
“We already are creating one and we already have money. If I could grant you peace of mind, let us inside your heart…”
Those words shut her up, as her eyes watered a bit understanding everything he meant. That they are supposed to be made of steel but it takes the people you love to make it a strong material.
And truth be told, she told him those same words years ago. It wasn’t as gentle, heartfelt and darling as she said in her own way, but it was a similar format as theses line meant the same thing. She remembers telling him in a charming yet sweet manner.
“Just let us be apart of that narrative, in the story we are watching today.” He continued, with a gentle grin, “Let this be a new chapter where I hope we stay..”
“And I could be more than enough.” She finished for him with a gentle grin, “We could be enough…since that would be enough.”
“Took you long enough to get it.”
“I should’ve known by now, I just need the reminder...I’m sorry for worrying you.”
“It’s alright, you didn’t mean it. Now, can we please go to bed?”
She smiled breathlessly and softly replied, “Yes please!”
He stood up, and walked away to the doorway thinking he was following her. But she wasn’t. He looked over his shoulder to to find her holding out her hands at arms length with a cheeky little smile that resulted him to snicker.
“Carry me?” She asked with a soft chuckle, tiredness laced in her voice.
“You’re so dramatic.” He replied with a similar tone as he walked over and picked her up bridal style.
“Shhhhhh babe, there are people trying to sleep here.”
“Oh my god.”
“Hey.”
“Hm?”
“I think I love you.”
“I know.”
The pair smiled as he carried her to bed, as she nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck. She hummed a few words and cracking a couple of jokes while he rolled his eyes dropping her onto the bed. She swiftly crawled under the warm covers and laying her head on the pillow, smiling at the blonde who treated her well.
Sometimes she wonders how exactly did she deserve such a man? Guess she will never actually get that solid answer.
She reached for his hand, giving it a small squeeze as if to know she was real and not at all in that icey cold apartment she once placed into. He smiled in return and winked, as there was an unspoken feeling of love in the air.
He left her side and stepped over to the doorframe. He looked over his shoulder and whispered, “Night Liz.”
She yawned, about to ask, more like suggest something but choice against it. Save it for another night as she replied, “Night Jason.”
Just as Jason turned off the lights and leading himself towards the hallway, Elizabeth bite the bullet with a soft grin. She decided to go for it and muttered, “Grey?”
She wondered if he heard it but he did. It cause Jason to pause and turn around to face Elizabeth, because it was a rare but somewhat made common sense that he would hear his middle name being used. Not everyone called him that unless necessary and he secretly preferred it being used among certain people.
Usually it was a way to get his attention in an endearing manner, when it came to his plenty of nicknames over the years.
His mind was fighting off a nerve of worry, as he met her eyesight, and hummed, “Yeah?”
“C-can you stay with me tonight? In bed like old times…” She replied almost shyly, pushing away her curls. It was a rare moment for a woman as bold as she might be. Yet, there was gentle tired smile that tugged her lips.
“Y-you sure?”
“I wouldn’t be sure if I didn’t ask, would I?”
“Fair point. Uh, left side of the bed?”
“A-and you on right.”
“You’re positive about this?”
“Mhm, I am. If not, I can always buy a dog to keep me company instead. I heard Sal’s shelter is open this time and hour.”
“Elizabeth.”
“I’m kidding! But not about the dog thing.”
“Liz.”
“Come on, I know you can’t resist waking up the next morning to a nice view.”
“You talking about yourself or the city’s morning skyline?”
“Both. We’re such amazing views, just sayin’.”
With a chuckle and a little eye roll, Jason climbed into bed and nuzzled himself underneath the covers next to her. Elizabeth’s giggles could be softly heard from her own cocky comments from earlier, as she rested against his shoulder blade humming gently.
She pressed a tiny kiss onto his cheek, as her eyes slowly dropped muttering a few words as she did. He wouldn’t admit it but he missed this, as he pressed a light kiss onto the top of head. With a swig of his arm, he reached forward and turned off the lamp that rested on the nightstand as the soft night sky peeked through the windowsill.

We really need to stop bashing Phase 4, guys. Yes, I myself disliked some projects (Love and Thunder, Eternals, She-Hulk, etc) and believe the phase was overall hit or miss. However, Marvel. Is. Not. Dead.
This phase is all about building new characters, storylines and places in the universe. Think back on Phase 1. They were building the foundations of this franchise and experimenting with what movies to make, so of course they weren’t all amazing. Thor, Iron Man 2, and The Incredible Hulk are disliked by many in this fandom. The same is happening with phase 4, but people just aren’t used to it, since Phase 3 was so large and interconnected. How did they do that? By years of payoff starting at phase 1. Let me tell you, in a few years when we start seeing payoff from Loki, Multiverse of Madness, FATWS and many other projects, even What If…?, Phase 4 will be held with new appreciation.
Anyways, with the closing of Phase 4, I think we can all use a rewatch. I’m very excited for the future of this franchise and impatiently await Ant Man: Quantumania. :)

Marvel said "fuck complex characters because we need wymen #gurlpower". They already did it with Loki, Clint, Thor, Bruce and Strange.
Uh... okay, let's take a step back here for a sec.
We all know the issues with Sylvie so I won't repeat them here, but I disagree with the other characters you mention (I can't talk about She-Hulk because I haven't seen the series).
Clint is complex in his series, L&T is just bad for everyone involved and MoM is hardly a movie for girl power when Wanda is treated like garbage and she has her entire character development destroyed for no reason.
Phase 4 just happened to be so damn bad with characterization. The fact that you see this as "girl power" is proof of the fact that they have been shielding all kinds of criticism with "people hate representation!". They put the women in the spotlight because they know the reactions will be 1) fans who now defend every movie and series because they have been told it's representation, 2) sexist/racist/etc fans who voice their hate, giving ammo to the first group - now they feed into each other and countless articles are written about it. It's a marketing strategy, that's all it is.
The women in WandaVision are great (so are Vision, Hayward, Woo), Layla in Moon Knight is fantastic (so are Marc, Steven, Harrow), every single woman in Wakanda Forever is magnificent (so are Namor and M'Baku)... sure, there's Sylvie in the Loki series (and probably others but I stopped watching the D+ shows after MK) but don't let them fool you: the lack of quality in Phase 4 is due to several reasons ranging from lack of continuity, inexperienced writers/directors who won't watch previous works, too much interference from the execs in the studio, a massive lack of creativity, Feige taking the fans for granted, etc.
It's all very hit-and-miss these days with the MCU, but it's not due to them giving the spotlight to women by tearing the men down. They're failing at characterization as a whole, with a few gems hidden here and there.

—————————————
Space. The ‘final frontier’ as Star Trek would say. The endless void of darkness and silence. Where the light one sees from the neighboring stars and galaxies are actually glimpses of the past.
There, thousands of light years from Earth, a lone spaceship glides away after losing the last bit of power it had.
“This thing on?” A whirring sound of the helmet powering up gives Tony some satisfaction. “Hey. Miss Potts. Pep. If you find this recording, don’t post it on social media. It’s gonna be a real tear jerker.” He leans against the wall of the ship, groaning a bit. “I don't know if you're ever gonna see these. I don’t even know if you’re still……..Oh, God, I hope so. Today is day twenty-one—no, uh, twenty-two. You know, if it wasn’t for the existential terror of staring into the literal void of space, I’d say I’m feeling a little better today.
Tony thinks back to earlier in the day when Nebula helped him patch up the stab wound on his side. “Infection’s run its course. Thanks to the Blue Meanie back there. Oh, you’d love her. Very practical. Only a tiny bit sadistic.”
He then relays the update on their situation, grimacing and glancing briefly to his right out the window. “So, the fuel cells were cracked during battle and we figured out a way to reverse the ion charge and bought ourselves about forty-eight hours of flight time.” He pauses to sigh, “Uh, but it’s now dead in the water. Thousand light years from the nearest 7-Eleven.”
“Oxygen will run out tomorrow morning and that’ll be it,” Tony doesn’t mention how they’ve also run out of food. Nebula refused to have her half of the last bag and encouraged Tony to finish it. The man turns his gaze to his left, eyes falling on the figure laying still on a table. A shaky breath leaves him, “Eve is….Eve’s still comatose. I’ve had to shock her a few times with what little power I still have. She’s still breathing—which is a relief, but I honest to God don’t know how. Whatever she absorbed—whatever went in her, is keeping her alive.”
The image of Eve on Titan flashes in his mind. The sight of her bruised and bloody body impaled on a rock by her own wing. The horrified look on her face when she realized the flare-like force was coming at her. The explosion that shook the ground.
And her screams. The gut-wrenching screams.
Tony could still hear them, often waking up at night in a sweat because they would ring in his ear. “When she wakes up—,” he brings his hand to his face, rubbing the scruff along his jaw. “If she wakes up, I-I don’t know what we’ll find. If she'll still be our Eve.” He casts another look in her direction, “But then again, I don’t think at this rate we’ll ever know.”
“Pep, I know I said no more surprises but I gotta say I was really hoping to pull off one last one. But it looks like.. well, you know what it looks like.” He leans forward, looking into the eyes of the helmet. “Don’t feel bad about this. I mean, actually, if you grovel for a couple weeks and then move on with enormous guilt….” The words fall flat as exhaustion overtakes him. “I should probably lie down for a minute. Go rest my eyes.”
Tony rubs his face before glancing back at the helmet, “Please know, when I drift off, it’ll be like every night lately. I’m fine. Totally fine,” he assures, as if she were right in front of him. His fingers then tap the helmet right between the eyes, “I dream about you. Because it’s always you.”
Reluctantly, Tony brings his hand around the device to power it off. It clicks, the eyes dimming to signal the recording ended. Pulling his around his arms and bidding Eve one last glance, Tony leans onto his side before slowly letting the exhaustion take over. He almost feels a sense of peace.
That if this was his last night breathing, at least it would be in his sleep.
Some time later when Tony finally succumbed to sleep, Nebula approaches to check on him. She nudges him onto his back before gently helping the man into a chair. The action makes him shift, and Nebula give a light squeeze his shoulder. She made no sound as she walked away, passing by Eve with a solemn expression.
It was unreal how Nebula could literally feel the heat radiating off the woman. It made her flinch, remembering the burning sensation she felt when she and Tony attempted to move Eve onto the ship. Her one flesh palm was badly burned and Tony had to use what little juice he had in his iron glove to give to her.
They eventually had to skid Eve onto the broken wing of her suit in order to carry her. They feared the metal would melt, but luckily it held. Then there was the matter of getting her on the table. So far it was withstanding the woman star-like temperature—no sign of the steel weakening. Tony had run one last thermal scan and it appeared by the day it was slowly decreasing.
It was as though Eve was adapting to it.
Some time had passed before a brightness pooled behind Tony’s eyes. The sleepiness faded away at the sound of a distant boom, Tony lifting a hand to shield his face. The glow grew stronger causing the man to become fully awake. That’s when he saw something approaching the ship.
At first fear consumed him. It looked very similar to the orange flare on Titan, though this was visibly smaller. The bright light came closer until it was directly in front of Tony and the only thing separating them was the glass windshield of the ship.
Tony stayed frozen as the light began to fade before the form of a woman took over. She had glowing eyes which then dimmed to human-like and blonde hair fell down to her shoulders. There was a golden diamond-like star on the chest of her suit.
Within seconds that fear and dread of an untimely end disappeared when from Tony when she smiled at him. Hope replaced it, and he let out an exhale full of immense relief.
They were going home.
The mood at Avengers compound was a mix of grief and unease. The world as they knew was it shambles and the total of missing persons was still counting. Bucky, Wanda, Sam, T’Challa, Shuri, Vision, and many many more. Their worst nightmare had came true.
Thanos wiped out half of the universe.
Steve Rogers stood in front of the mirror of his old room, towel in his hand to wipe away the moisture and residue of shaving cream. There was a haunted look in his eyes. That’s what came with being a soldier. A soldier stuck in time that is.
A movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention. The small side mirror attached to the main one was shaking, and Steve brought his hand up to stop the movement. But when he pulled away it continued, and that’s when he heard the sound of rumbling throughout the compound.
He dropped the towel onto the counter, racing out of the room and down to the main level. He found Natasha, Rhodey, and Bruce all huddled. All three were look around with worried gazes. “What’s happening?”
Natasha shook her head, “I-I don’t know.” Rhodey pulled up a projection of the outside perimeter. In the corner of the screen, he saw a very large object flying down with a glowing source at the bottom.
“Something’s landing outside,” he announced causing all eyes to widen. Together they all ran out to the front lawn where they found Pepper standing with clasped hands as she watched the ship descend from the sky.
They’re running slowed to a walk, all eyes drawn up before they stopped behind pepper. The woman they recognized as Carol Danvers, who had arrived to Earth demanding to know where Nick Fury was a week prior, was holding the ship and safety brought onto the grass.
The glow around her faded, and she turned to greet the group just as the latch of the ship opened to reveal a stair case. Steve rushed forward the second he saw Tony limping down, holding onto a blue lady for support. But a sense of dread filled him when he saw no sign of Eve.
Tony takes his arm, bidding a look of gratitude to Nebula before stumbling down the remaining steps. He panted, “Couldn’t stop him.”
“Neither could I,” Steve replied, holding tightly to Tony’s arm.
“Hand on,” Tony stopped them from walking, catching his breath. He locked eyes with the Captain, tears filling at the brim, “I lost the kid.” Steve makes a sound of defeat, his expression mirroring the older man.
“Tony, we lost.”
Nothing they could do would change that. Strange saw nearly 15 million possibilities and all of them ended with them losing. All but one. It was bound to happen.
Tony swallows hard, licking his lip before glancing at his savior. “H-Hey!” He called out causing her to look at him. “There’s one more of us inside,” he ignores the look Steve was giving him. It was a mix of shock and hope. “—you may be the only one who can carry her without burning to death.”
“What?” Steve asked, glancing between the two for an answer. Carol nodded to Tony before entering the ship. They all waited with concern, the others moving closer to see what was happening. In the mix, Pepper runs up to Tony causing him to let out a sound of relief, “Oh, good.”
“Oh my God!” She cried before embracing him. “Oh my God.” He hugged her close to him, relishing in her warmth and patted her back gently. When she pulled away his lips pressed to her cheek.
A sound from the ship drew back their attention. Behind him, Tony could hear the others gasp at the sight of Carol walking down the steps with an unconscious Eve Stark in her arms.
Steve starts to move, but Tony lightly pushes against his chest. “Don’t,” he warns. “You can’t touch her.” At Steve’s confused expression, Tony pulls his hand away to reveal the state of his palm. It was scared with light redness to it. The blisters had went away, but the damage was done. Tony would need to get a doctor to look at it, but he already accepted there was some nerve damage to his hand. It still felt numb even 22 days later.
Steve gazes at Tony’s hand, shock filling his eyes and Pepper gasps. Behind him, Natasha leans over to see and her hand comes up to her mouth. They both glance to Nebula, noticing how her one hand was similar. Steve looks back to the man, “What happened?”
He doesn’t answer initially, his attention on his aunt who was unmoving in Carol’s arms save for the slow pace of her breathing. Eyes closing, the memory once again playing in his mind, Tony let’s out a shaky breath. “It—it’s hard to explain,” he pauses to open his eyes to see everyone was watching him, “but I can show you.”
The remaining Avengers and their new allies all gathered in the main room of the compound. Tony sat in a wheelchair, IV drip attached to his side while Eve laid in the next room over hooked up to a variety of machines. It was a sore sight to see the once strong and willed woman so helpless. Her brain waves and vitals were still alarmingly abnormal, but relief came with the knowledge her heart rate was slowing and body temperature had decreased.
She was still hotter than all of them except Carol—the blonde being the only one who could physically touch Eve without any harm. She had to be the one to attach the tubes and machines with Bruce instructing her. As they worked, Steve watched from the doorway with his arms crossed.
“Is she going to be okay?” He asked Bruce, glancing up to see the doctor looked worried.
“It’s hard to say, Cap,” he spoke with unease. Stress coated his expression. “I’ve never seen anyone with readings like this. I-I don’t even know what’s wrong with her—do you?” Bruce turned the former Kree. She shook her head, moving to place the last syringe in Eve’s arm.
“I can’t determine anything until we see what Tony has to show us.” With that the three leave the room, giving one last glance to the Avenger before making their way to where everyone else was. When every one was settled, taking their place on various corners of the area, Tony weakly called out to F.R.I.D.A.Y, “Pull up Mark L footage from twenty-two days ago.”
“Right away, sir.” Within seconds a projection appeared and their eyes locked on the reddish-orange hue of Titan. Tony has F.R.I.D.A.Y skim through bit where Quill snapped, focusing it on the moment Eve was incapacitated.
Everyone was rendered speechless when the witnessed the Avenger impaled by her own wing. It was so graphic Pepper had to look away, her hand coming to her mouth to cover the gasp she let out. Rhodey also had to turn away, the image of his friend too painful to see. Both Natasha and Steve flinched, the soldier clenching his jaw.
The next thing they saw was the glowing orange flare. It blasted Eve through her chest before the rest swarmed around her. They saw her lift off the ground, the metal pieces disintegrating and the look of horror on the Avenger as the flare consumed her. She was screaming and in that moment they were grateful Tony had muted the recording.
Seconds ticked by before Eve was no longer visible and a bright light erupted from the force of the explosion. They lived it through the eyes of Tony. Dust filled the air and rocks rained from the sky. The anxiety Tony must have felt was swarming through all of them. The last thing the recording showed was Eve lying still in the middle of the crater.
“And you said she’s been unconscious ever since?” Steve asked after a minute of silence passed. He was rubbing his jaw, a habit of his when things became tense. There was a mixture of emotion flooding him. He wasn’t the only one however, everyone had to take a moment to process what they had seen.
“Twenty-three days and counting,” Tony replied, “I’ve had to play doctor and shock her because he heart rate is beating too fast for a human to withstand—even with that super juice.” Tony winces, adjusting in his chair. “There’s also the concerning matter she’s taking on a body temp enough to rival our own sun yet somehow manages to not melt and become Freddy Krugers long lost sister.”
“It was like—like that thing,” Natasha shakes her head, “was targeting her. Why would that be?”
“Beats me,” Rhodey sighs, letting his hands fall to his side. “My question is why didn’t it blow up Thanos. He was right there—could’ve saved us a whole lot of trouble.”
Steve clutches the back of the chair in front of him, his head dropping to glance at the floor. “Whatever it was and why Eve was targeted…,” he paused before looking back up,. “We’ll get that answer when she wakes.”
“If,” Tony corrected, grimacing at the thought. “If she wakes up you mean.”
“Tony—.” Nat tries, but he holds a hand up.
“No need for optimism, Romanoff. We’ve got more important matters while we wait for whatever fate has planned for my aunt.” He sniffs, ignoring the looks he was receiving. “Give me the stats.”
Though hesitant to change the subject, Steve sighed and pulled up all they had currently on the situation. Images of those vanished took up the screen, most notably their friends and allies. Rhodey was the one to start, “It’s been twenty-three days since Thanos came to Earth.” Stephen Strange and Bucky Barnes’ face appeared, followed by Sam Wilson and Erik Selvig.
“World governments are in pieces,” Natasha continued, the images of Hope Van Dyne and Wanda Maximoff taking over. “The parts are still working are trying to take a census and it looks like he did,” she paused, noticing the broken look of Tony when Peter Parker stared back at him. He had to look away, chest constricting at another wave of emotion.
“He did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wiped out fifty percent of all living creatures.” The room fell silent once again, everyone taking in the information. Sadness was evident on all of them. Carol, who’d been very serious and stoic since the moment she arrived, even showed emotion at the sight of Nick Fury’s face.
“Where is now?” Tony asked suddenly. “Where?”
“We don’t know.” Steve replied, leaning on the table with his arms crossed. “He just opened a portal and walked through.” His answer makes Tony sigh, wheeling his chair a tad forward.
“What’s wrong with him,” He pointed to Thor seated far away from the group, looking just as bad as him.
“Oh, he’s pissed,” an unfamiliar voice sounded. When Tony turned in it’s direction, the man was in complete shock when the voice belonged to a raccoon. “He thinks he failed. Which of course he did, but you know there’s a lot of that going around, ain’t there?”
Tony was at a lost for words, but somehow found them. “Honesty, until this exact second I thought you were a Build-A-Bear.”
“Maybe I am,” Rocket fired back, his body slumping in defeat.
Steve brought the conversation back before it got sidetracked. “We’ve been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep space scans and satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him.”
“Who told you that?” he tilted his head, finding humor in the assumption. “I didn’t fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while a solar flare inhabited my aunt and the Bleecker Street magician gave away the store. That’s what happened. There was no fight—.”
“Tony—.”
“—‘Cause he’s not beatable.”
“Did he give you any clues, any coordinates, anything?”
“Uh..” Tony sputters out, making a motion of his hand against his head. Steve and Natasha exchange looks of distress. “I saw this coming a few years back. I had a vision-I didn’t want to believe it. Thought I was dreaming.”
Steve starts to stand, “Tony, I’m gonna need you to focus.”
“And I needed you,” Tony cuts with off harshly. “As in, past tense. That trumps what you need. It’s too late, buddy. Sorry.” The last thing Tony felt was sympathy for the soldier and Steve knew that. The thin line of friendship they had at the beginning of the Accords fiasco had snapped.
The older man sniffs, moving to stand from his chair. “You know what I need?” He pushes the bowls on the table away, making the contents spill. “I need to shave. And I believe I remember telling all yourselves—.”
“Tony, Tony!” Rhodey moves forward when Tony removes his IV from his arm.
“—alive and otherwise, that what we needed was a suit of armor around the world. Remember that? Whether it impacted our precious freedoms or not. That’s what we needed.”
“Well, that didn’t work out, did it?” Steve’s words only anger Tony more.
“I said we’d lose. You said, ‘We’ll do that together, too.’ And guess what, Cap? We lost. And you weren’t there.” Tony pauses, pointing his finger at the room where Eve was laid. “And now the only family I have left is fighting for her life and may never wake up. Your so called best friend,” he emphasized with malice, aware how Steve flinched. “You weren’t there to save her.”
The super-soldier tried not to react. He didn’t want Tony to know how badly the words were affecting him. Guilt had flooded him knowing the state Eve was in. It pained him at the thought she could never wake up. All he could do was pray she did so they could finally resolve everything. So Eve would know he was sorry.
Steve remained silent as Tony continued his rant. “But that’s what we do, right? Our best work after the face? We’re the ‘Avengers,’” Rhodey had to help steady Tony when he started to stumble. “We’re the ‘Avengers,’ not the ‘Pre-vengers.’”
“Okay,” Rhodey calmly said.
“Right?”
“You made your point. Just sit down, okay?”
“Okay. No, no,” Tony tugged away from his friend. “Here’s my point, you know what?” He pointed to Carol, “she’s great by the way.”
“Tony, you’re sick,” Rhodey said with more force, trying to push him back into the wheelchair. “Sit down.”
“We need you. You’re new blood.” When he successfully broke away from Rhodey, Tony marched straight up to Steve. “Bunch of tired ole mules. I got nothing for you, Cap.” He stood before him with only only an arms length between then. “I got no coordinates, no clues, no strategies, no options. Zero. Zip. Nada. No trust, liar.”
The word cuts into Steve and leaves a lasting effect. Pain fills his expression as Tony removes the device from his hallowed chest. With shaky breath, he takes Steve’s hand and places it firmly in his palm. “Here, take this. You find him, you put that on….” His starts to stutter, the air becoming hard to inhale. “You hide.” His knees give out causing Steve to rush forward.
“Tony!”
“I’m fine,” he pants. He pushes him and Rhodey away, “Let me…” The words fall as darkness overtakes him. He falls on his side, head nearly hitting Carol’s feet and everyone moves to the rescue. Together they get him in one of the rooms close to Eve. Pepper, who had been in the kitchen making tea, rushes in and moves to Tony’s bedside.
Rhodey, the caring friend he is, practically tucks Tony in and hooks him back up to an IV drip. He gives Pepper one last nod after placing Tony’s glasses on the table and exits. Steve, Nat, and Carol are waiting for him. “Bruce gave him a sedative. He’s gonna probable be out for the rest of the day. And I feel it’s safe to assume the same goes for Eve.” Like clockwork, the four all move their heads to glance into the room where the woman laid.
“You guys take care of them,” Carol says causing them to turn to her. “And I’ll bring him a Xorrian elixir when I come back.” She uncrosses her arms and begins walking away.
“Where are you going?” Steve asks curiously.
“To kill Thanos.” Both Nat and Steve exchange looks, before hastily chasing after her.
“Hey,” Nat calls, making Carol stop and turn around. “You know, we usually work as a team here. And, uh, between you and I, morale’s a little fragile.”
“We realize up there is more your territory,” Steve says from behind Nat, “but this is our fight, too.”
“You even know where he is?” Rhodey asks, leaning against the entryway with his arms crossed.
“I know people who might.”
“Don’t bother,” Nebula cuts in, drawing everyone’s attention. “I can tell you where Thanos is.” Her revelation had everyone on edge. They gathered in the conference room, focused on what Nebula had to offer. “Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me,” she begins, trying to ignore the anger in her as the painful memories resurfaced. “And when he worked, he talked about his Great Plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I’d ask, ‘where would we go once his plan was complete?’ And his answer was always the same.” The woman pushed off the wall and approached the table, letting her head drop between her shoulders. “‘To the Garden.’”
Rhodey raises his eyebrows, not really impressed with the name. “That’s cute. Thanos has a retirement plan.”
“So where is he?” Steve walked over and around the table so he was in front of Rocket. The raccoon pulls up a projection of the Earth.
“When Thanos snapped his fingers Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculous cosmic proportions. Something similar happened just before on Titan which we can assume involved your friend,” They all stiffen at the mention of Eve. “No one’s ever seen anything like it. Although the type of cosmic energy on Titan was different than Thanos snapping.”
“How so?” Steve asked, tilting his head.
“Not really sure. Haven’t seen anything like it my travels of our universe. But then two days ago,” the image changed from Earth to another planet. “On this planet, the same power surge occurred.”
“Thanos is there,” Nebula confirmed.
Natasha leaned foward, the glow of the projection illuminating her face. “He used the stones again.”
“Hey, hey, hey,” Bruce nervously chuckles. “We’d be going in short handed, you know.”
“Look, he’s still got the stones so—.” Carol cuts Rhodey off.
“So, let’s get ‘em.” She nods at the potential plan. “Use them to bring everyone back.”
“Just like that?” Bruce doesn’t look convinced. He was right to feel hesitant. They already lost one battle, why repeat that so soon.
“Yeah,” Steve agrees with the woman. “Just like that.”
Natasha adds in on the topic. “Even if there’s a small chance that we can undo this, I mean, we owe it to everyone who’s not in this room to try.”
“If we do this, how do we know it’s gonna end any differently than it did before?” Bruce finally asks what he’d been thinking the entire time.
Carol places her hands on her hips, “Because before you didn’t have me.”
“Hey, new girl?” Rhodey gets her attention, not really enjoying how she’s taking full change on the matter. “Everybody in this room is about that superhero life. And if you don’t mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?”
“There are a lot of other planets in the universe,” she tells him. “And unfortunately, they didn’t have you guys.” Steve’s lips curl up and the look on Rhodey’s face. She just owned him big time.
The sound of Thor skidding his chair back to stand has Carol turning. The two lock eyes and he comes to stand right in front of her. Keeping their eyes locked, Thor raises his hand—just inches from Carol’s face. Blonde hair flies and falls back in place by the force of Stormbreaker flying past her and into his grip. She gives no reaction, remaining stoic at the God.
Thor brings the ax down in front of him, before slightly nodding in approval. It makes Carol smirk. “I like this one,” he tells the others. They share another look, one of mutual respect.
Steve turns back to the image of The Garden. Determination in his eyes as he says the words everyone was thinking. They were gonna find him, and they were gonna bring everyone back. “Let’s go get this son of a bitch.”
After everyone suited up they piled back into the room. Thor was the first to enter. And when the rest arrived they found him replaying the footage of Eve. When Tony had showed them earlier, Thor had paid no mind. Now the God’s eyes were concentrated.
When the recording replayed, this time focusing on the moment where the flare swarmed Eve, Steve approached. “Thor,” he called, eyes shifting back and forth. “What do you know?”
Behind him everyone’s ears perked, all thinking the same. The footage played for a third time before the man finally spoke.
“On Asgard,” he started, voice lowering as a feeling of emotion swarmed him. “My father once spoke of immortal and immutable manifestation of the universal force of life and passion.” Mix matched eyes trained on the screen. “A ‘cosmic entity’ he called it. The spark which gave life to the universe and all it’s creation. And the flame that will ultimately end it.”
By now everyone had gathered closer to the God. “This entity then traveled the cosmos. It would create and destroy all in it’s path—not even a Celestial could tame it.” The recording was now on auto reply, once again showing Eve’s bloody figure moments before the flare. “It’s said to be powerful than the Celestials.” The eyes of those who knew of Celestials widen in surprise. Thor didn’t add the fact the Infinity stones fell into the category.
He didn’t want to tarnish any last bit of hope for the team if his theory of Eve was proven false.
Thor thinks back to the conversation on Asgard. The memory of a young Loki and him sitting by the fire as Odin relayed the story while Frigga conjured illusions of a solar-like flare moving through the universe. Awe and wonder in their eyes. The thought of a being so powerful it was hard to believe. “My father said it was a myth. A legend passed down from generation to generation. Many civilizations worship this entity—they see it as a God.” He pauses the video on Eve moments before the explosion. Before the ball of light took form.
“Why are you telling us this?” Rhodey asks suspiciously when Thor finishes. Thor rubs his jaw, but doesn’t face the group. His attention remains on the screen.
“There’s never been proof said being exists. Although, it’s believed it takes the manifestation of a flare,” he zooms in on the projection. Eve was hovered over the ground with her arms spread out. Her head slightly tilted up and they could make out that her mouth was parted. All around her was glowing orange. If one looked closely, they could see tiny cracks in her skin.
It was almost a beautiful sight…..If not for the fact she was now laying in a coma because of it.
“Sort of like what we see here,” Thor trails off. The words bring a silence so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Steve steps closer, understanding what Thor was implying. His eyes move between the God and the image.
“What are you saying, Thor?”
He turns to Steve, a flicker of realization in his eyes. “I’m saying, if my theory is correct, our Lady Stark may never be the woman we once had.”
The conversation ends there with no explanation to follow. Steve remains frozen as Thor takes his leave, Stormbreaker in his grip and exits the compound. The others followed after him, many with expressions of worry and unease. Rocket, Nebula, and Carol were just as anxious despite not knowing Eve well. Just the thought of it being true was enough to spark an eerie feeling.
That their friend, ally, and teammate, who was unresponsive, had been targeted by a cosmic entity. ‘What did it want with her?’ was the million dollar question. They wouldn’t until Eve awoke.
If she awoke.
Seconds passed in silence until Steve eventually spun on his heel and joined everyone. The only ones who remained in the compound were Tony, Pepper, Eve. Happy had been called and would arrive shortly to give them company.
The projection still showed the paused image of Eve. Trapped in a fiery swarm of energy. In all the times they played the video—even freezing it, no one noticed how the flare, just seconds before conforming into a ball of light, was in the shape of a bird.
It had been roughly a week after the team returned to Earth following the mission to The Garden. Another failure had dawned them. This one the worst because it sealed the deal for the fate of their universe.
Half of all living creatures were gone forever.
Thanos had destroyed the stones, making his snap irreversible. He must have known they would try to come for them, so the Titan made sure they’d never get the chance. And then Thor cut his head off.
The second the returned everyone had scattered. They needed to deal with the hard loss in their own way. Thor went off to help his people find a new home. The guardians and Carol were back in space. Bruce and Steve took off to God knows where, although they remained in touch with Natasha.
And the former Widow? She settled in the only home she knew. The Avengers compound.
The elixir Carol gifted Tony helped tremendously. He was back on his feet the next morning feeling refreshed, but nothing new from Eve. Becase of this, Tony stayed longer at the facility than planned. Pepper was in the process of making arrangements for them, the two debating if they wanted to even stay in the city or find someplace quiet. It was common sense to push back the wedding—neither wanting to go through with it until they knew Eve was okay.
So here they were stuck in the compound with Happy, Rhodey, and Nat. It was almost comical how the atmosphere was. The last time all six were together like this was 2010. Natasha busied herself with the idea she could continue the Avengers, even if it only made up of herself, the Guardians, Okoye, and Carol. Rhodey did agree to help which relieved a lot of stress for the redhead.
She was the first to hear the choked gasp and beeping sound coming from the monitors. The chair she was sitting hit the floor from how hard she pushed off it. Natasha was running, calling out to F.R.I.D.A.Y to alert the others when Eve’s screams started. She wasn’t the only one to have heard the monitors, Rhodey was cutting the corner of the opposite direction at the same moment.
“Is she awake?” He said, oblivious to the ear-piercing scream.
Natasha gave a small glare, yelling over the screams, “What do you think?” They both entered the room to find Eve covered in a layer of sweat, hunched over the bed and holding her head in her hands. “Eve!!” Natasha ran up to grab her arms, but then remembered she couldn’t touch her. “Eve, look at me!”
“My head,” the woman whimpered, eyes squeezed shut. “It’s in my head!” She let out another scream as the pain pierced her.
“What’s in your head, Eve?” Nat asked, then turned to Rhodey, “Get Tony, now!” He spun on his heel and ran out. When she turned back to Eve, Nat could hear here mumbling in a frantic speed, “It’s too loud—it’s too loud. I-I-I can’t—-I can’t—AH!” Eve’s ears were ringing, her head pounding.
The monitors were beeping so loud it drew Nat’s attention—her eyes widening by the numbers showing. “Eve,” she calmly said, looking away from the deathly high heart rate showing. “Eve, you need to calm down—listen to my voice. It’s me, Natasha.”
But Eve couldn’t hear the redhead. Fire was consuming her. Her body, her mind, all of it. The voice in her head was almost like an echo. It was breaking apart the walls in her mind, with Eve unable to hide. A constant pressure to let her know it was there. “Evelyn.”
New voices entered the room, and Eve’s eyes snapped open when cold metal hands grabbed her shoulder. Her vision was blurry at first, but then it cleared. Tony was kneeling in front of her in a state of shock and relief. “Eve,” he said, but his voice shouted afar.
“T-Tony,” she whispered. That’s when Eve finally looked around the room and realized she was in the compound. “This—this is the compound. W-what, what happened?” Her eyes landed on Nat standing behind Tony, the drifting to the doorway where Rhodey was. Finally she could see Pepper and Happy behind the glass window. They all were wearing the same expressions.
Shock, relief, and worry all in one.
“T-Thanos,” Eve turned back to her nephew, noticing how he was gripping her with just the hand portions of his suit. “Thanos. Titan. The others— where are the others?”
“Eve, what was the last thing you remember?” Tony asked hesitantly. It was a good sign she remembered the fight on Titan, but now the questioned remained on whether she could recall what happened after.
“I—,” she swallowed, thinking back despite the constant pounding in her head. “Thanos he—I was on the rock. My wing—,” she gasped, hand coming to her stomach only to find there was no bandage or visible wound. “I was dying. I was dying And then, there—there was a bright light coming from the sky.”
When she didn’t add on, Tony thought, “Okay, that’s a start,” glancing at the floor. Eve, who was looking at the wall and didn’t see his mouth not move instantly said, “What’s a start?”
Tony’s head snapped up so fast it made her flinch and turn back to him. “What?” The expression he was giving worried her.
“I-I didn’t—,” he stuttered, eyes slightly wide. “Eve, I didn’t say that.”
“Yes you did. I heard you.”
Tony shook his head, loosening his grip on her. “I didn’t say it aloud, Eve.”
“What?” As the ringing in her ears stopped, more voices filled the silence. “Did she just—.” Nat’s tone rang out, despite Eve looking straight at her and no movement from her lips. “That’s impossible,” Rhodey was next. Faintly she could hear Pepper and Happy, but they weren’t in conversation either.
There was a spike in her heart rate as the realization filled her. She pushed away from Tony, inching further onto the bed. “Eve,” he tried to say calmly, but it just scared her more. “Eve, you need to calm down.”
“I—I can hear you—all of you,” she felt her lungs constrict. “Evelyn,” the echo called to her again. It made her whimper, tears brimming her eyes as she looked around her to find the voice, but nothing was there. She could feel everyone’s eyes on hers, unsure of what to do. “What’s happening to me?”
“You’re gonna be okay,” Tony leans forward. “Now that you’re awake, we’re gonna do everything to figure out what—-.”
“How long?” She cuts him off with a gulp. “How long ago was Titan?” Tony clenches his jaw, not wanting to reveal the truth. But the number of days flickered in his mind and it was enough for Eve to catch it. He hadn’t even realized it happened until she gasped. “No…”
“They’re gone, Evelyn.” The voice told her and the pounding returned. It was strong, making her clutch her head again and wince. “He won. Your friends failed.”
“No,” she cried. “No!” Lights began to flicker, causing everyone to freeze as fear filled them. Eve could hear their thoughts among the echoed voice. ‘What the hell?’ “What is she doing?’ “Oh my God.’
“Get out of my head,” she hunched over in a whisper. The flickering continued, becoming more and more frantic. The monitors were going crazy, the sound sending her into a frenzy. “It’s too loud—It’s too loud.” Her words had Tony and Rhodey moving to unplug the monitors, but it did nothing for the woman.
Just the sound of their thoughts were becoming too much. Eve didn’t know how to stop listening. And she was slowly starting to lose control of whatever was flowing through her. “Get out of my head.”
“I’m part of you now, Evelyn.”
“What are you?”
“You’ll know soon.”
“Eve!” Tony shouted, but it got lost amongst the wave of noise. Happy moved Pepper away from the room despite her protests, worried for her friend and fiancé. Natasha was slowly backing away, coming to stand by the door with Rhodey. Neither could form words at what they were witnessing.
“Get out of my head.”
“Evelyn.”
“Stop.”
“Evel—.”
“No!” She cried out and a light fixture exploded. A tear escaped her right eye. The others flinched and fear pooled at the sight. The whispering echo continued—a mental battle in the Avengers mind. And then all hell broke loose, when Eve’s voice took a tone none of them had ever heard of. “Get out of my head!”
The monitors closest to the window flew into the glass window—shattering it causing everyone to react. Tony nearly tripped on his own feet when he jumped back, avoiding the one nearly hitting him. Nat let out a gasp, hand clapping over her mouth. All the lights exploded causing them to run out to avoid being hit by the fluorescent glass.
When it was over, Tony ran back in to find Eve laying unconscious on the bed. This time, he could see the glowing orange cracks in her skin. They covered her hairline—going down her jaw and onto her neck. He didn’t dare touch her. If those cracks were visible then it surely implied her body temperature was high.
“Are those..is her skin cracked?” Rhodey said from over his shoulder.
Tony lets out a defeated sigh, not answering. The last thing they wanted was to be back at square one. It gave him hope she would wake up again, but now they had a new battle in their wake.
And if Tony was being honest with himself, he didn’t want anyone other than the people in that room to know.
“No one else knows about this, understood?” He says and waits for a response. When it doesn’t come he turns around. Both Rhodey and Natasha look hesitant at the idea. He narrows his eyes, “I don’t need her having any more stress added on to whatever the hell is going on. You heard her didn’t you?” They both nod and he swallows hard. “There’s something inside her—in her head, that we don’t know and it’s scaring her. This stays between us. I mean it.”
Nat rubs her arms, frowning as she glances to her friend. It didn’t feel right leaving the others in the dark, but understood it would be better for Eve. “Okay.” Rhodey shakes his head, but agrees anyway. Tony didn’t need to convince Pepper or Happy, they would support whatever he had felt was right.
After a few seconds Nat asks, “What do you want me to tell him?” The ‘him’ being Steve, “If he asks why she’s gone?” Tony didn’t know how Natasha knew he was planning on taking Eve away from the compound, but didn’t speak on it. He gives a shrug, looking over his shoulder to his aunt. The cracks had faded and her skin was back to normal.
“As far as Steve Rogers is concerned, Eve’s still in a coma—I know what you’re thinking,” he lifts a hand when Nat looks like she’s about to protest. “but give me another month to figure this out. She needs to be somewhere away from the chaos where it’s quiet. That should relieve some of the strain this new…power is putting on her.” The man was having trouble coming to terms with this new reality. It worried him to the point he was starting to feel a headache by what the future for his aunt had in store for them.
“She can read our minds now, Tony,” Rhodey couldn’t believe what he was saying.
“I know,” the man replied, scratching his chin. “We’ll take it one day at a time.” He moved to the bed, hands covered and brought Eve’s body more to the middle. He didn’t bother with the blanket since she was still drenched in sweat. He made a mental note to have the AC turned up in hopes of bringing her body temperature back down.
Part of him felt he needed to shock her, convinced her heart rate was high, but felt it would do nothing. All he could do now was wait again until she awoke. In the meantime, he and Pepper would find somewhere quiet and out of the city for them to settle.
Just when he was about to leave the room, something on Eve caught his attention. It was so small he almost didn’t notice if not for the little light coming in from the window. He leaned closer, his face directly over Eve’s—focused on the hairs framing her face.
“What is it?” Natasha asked, tilting her head around him to see what he was looking at.
“Get me a magnifying glass—or better yet,” he places his glasses on and shines a light on Eve’s forehead. Squinting, he makes out the discolor at the root of her scalp. “What in the hell?” It couldn’t be possible—there was no way. Even after blinking several times to see if his mind was playing ticks on him, it was still there clear as day.
The roots of Eve’s dark—almost black hair, so small one could miss it if they weren’t looking with a magnifying glass,
was a deep blood red.

Soooo I was looking through my drafts because there's posts in there years old, and I found this old fanfiction question list that my dear friend @thuriweaver tagged me in two years ago and I thought what the heck, I'll fill that out tonight because I've been trying to work on writing more lately. So, without further ado...
1.How many works do you have on AO3?
95!
Though I've written more, there are things on @ironwhumper359 and @ironwoman359-writes that aren't fandom related and are only on tumblr, and there's probably some other things on my masterlist that aren't on AO3 either, maybe I ought to comb through it at some point and upload more!
2. What is your total AO3 word count?
333,493! And fun fact, I just counted that up manually from all 95 fics because I thought AO3 didn't display that stat, but it turns out I just wasn't logged in. The stat page says I actually has 335,438 words, so either I missed a fic or it includes the author's notes or summaries in that count.
3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
If you look at the fandom list it has 10, but I think 5 is a more accurate count, which I'll explain in a sec. These are the fandoms on AO3:
Sanders Sides (Web Series) (87)
Super Mario & Related Fandoms (3)
Marvel Cinematic Universe (3)
Undertale (Video Game) (3)
Leverage (2)
Video Blogging RPF (2)
Who Killed Markiplier? (Web Series) (1)
In Space With Markiplier (Web Series) (1)
Six of Crows Series - Leigh Bardugo (1)
Markiplier TV (Web Series) (1)
The thing is, the two fics in the "video blogging" fandom are markiplier ego fics and I'd lump those, Who Killed Markiplier, In Space With Markiplier, and Markiplier TV all as one fandom, and also, all the Super Mario fics and MCU fics are actually both Sanders Sides AUs, so those aren't really separate fandoms either.
A better list would be:
Sanders Sides
Markiplier
Undertale
Leverage
Six of Crows
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
So this was fascinating to look at! I'm going to list them in reverse order, for the Drama.
5: How to Catch a Fairy, posted on June 16th, 2020 with 2,918 hits and 515 kudos. This is a very short little oneshot, filling a prompt from a Bad Things Happen Bingo card, "Used as Bait." I really enjoyed writing this one, but I'm surprised it's beat out so many of my other, older fics. It has almost 100 more kudos than Our Own Villain, the (admittedly incomplete) fic that is my 6th biggest in kudos and kind of put me on the map in the TSS fandom. I guess people really like fae, feral protective love interests, and analogical.
4: Phase One, originally posted on September 11th, 2020, with 3,575 hits and 532 kudos. Now this is far less surprising, the Marvel AU is one of my most popular stories, with an entire sideblog dedicated to developing it, and it is by far the story I am most asked about continuing. The story is told partly through in universe S.H.I.E.L.D. documents and internal communications, questions on @ask-agent-sanders, and traditionally posted stories. Phase One is the AO3 name for the traditional story portion of the universe, each chapter being an entry in the story. The plan was, eventually, to create a fic called Phase Two for stories taking place post-Avengers (2012) content, but I haven't updated the fic in nearly 2 years.
3: A Part of the FamILY, originally posted on May 9th, 2018, with 5,326 hits and 696 kudos. According to the author's notes, I originally wrote the fic in February of 2018 to celebrate 1,000 tumblr followers, so it makes sense that it would have a lot of kudos. It also leans HEAVILY on a lot of tropes that the TSS fandom was really into at the time, and even has song lyrics in it with links to said songs on spotify. I stand by the quality of the actual story and writing on display here, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that those aspects make me cringe just a bit today 😅
2: A Fiendly Reunion, originally posted on July 7th, 2019, with 7,621 hits and 766 kudos. This story is one of my proudest achievements, both in the TSS fandom and as a writer in general. At 30,000+ words over 10 chapters, it is the longest single fic I've ever posted, and the only multichapter fic over 4 chapters that I've ever completed, outside a Big Bang challenge I did in 2018. It took over a year to write, and was a huge passion project for me. I'm really, really happy that it's at the number two spot, and that my readers loved it as much as I did. I'd honestly be surprised that it wasn't at the number one spot, if it weren't for what IS at the number one spot...
1: Broken Wings, originally posted on September 9th, 2018 with 7,747 hits and 1,159 kudos. This fic is the most popular thing I've ever posted on AO3, and it's tumblr cross-post has over 1,000 notes, which is a lot for a fanfiction on this site. Why? It's short, at just under two thousand words, it's angsty and it's fluffy, it has protective-and-self-sacrificing Virgil, protective light sides, vague and abusive dark sides (this was 2018, ok, the fandom was a very different place then), it has wings, and to top it all off it was actually based on fanart, this amazing workby @asofterfan who came up with all the wing designs and potential dynamics that the winged sides would have, I just took their vision and translated it to words. I kind of love that my most popular work is actually something that's collaborative in nature, I think it says something about the way fandom comes together as a community <3.
5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I do! I used to not as often because I felt awkward, and I'm not gonna lie, I still do sometimes, but these days I try to respond when possible, because I really, really appreciate comments! They're absolutely everything as a creative.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I'm not really into angsty endings, very rarely do I leave something unhappy on purpose. Sometimes I start out with something unhappy, only to later go and add more fic to give it a happier ending. I'm Left in the Dark originally was a short prompt fill, chapter 1, but then I went back and wrote chapters 2 and 3 to resolve the plot.
All that to say, I think the angstiest ending out there is actually the ending of an instant of great white gravity, which is the first installment in a series I hope to write more for that I'm calling Before and After, though I haven't made it a series on AO3 yet. By it's very nature of being a prequel to the events of Who Killed Markiplier, the whole thing has big 'doomed by the narrative' energy, and even though not every fic will necessarily have a melancholy tone, great white gravity does, because it's about Will being too late to ask Celine out and having to live with watching her marry Mark instead, and about Damien watching the friend group he used to be able to count on be irrecoverably changed by this tension. Goooood angst, right there!
7. Do you ever write crossovers?
I do! Or, I've written one, at least. The Marvel AU isn't a recasting like most of my other AUs based on existing stories, the Marvel characters also exist and are in the story.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I don't believe so, no! I've been very fortunate in that regard, the little hate I have received over the years has all been in my askbox directly, never in the comments of a fic that I can recall.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Nope! Sex-repulsed asexual over here, but y'all have fun in your corner of the internet!
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
To my knowledge/recollection, no, but I do know that someone reposted one of my fics on Wattpad once. They credited me as the author though, so I didn't ask them to take it down, but in general, I don't like it when people do that.
11. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Until the Sun Rises, a walking dead style zombie AU, is a collab with @buzz-by-bee, aka @a-valourous-choice, author of the To Build a Home series! We haven't updated it in a long time (oops) but it has a sideblog over on @until-the-sun-rises that has some pretty sweet fanart as well as all the content if you're interested!
You Don't Own Me (You Don't Even Know Me) also started out as a collab with @5-falsehoods-phonated, aka RoseyWinter on AO3, but he has since left the project and left me to finish our plan on my own (which I keep saying that I'll do and then not doing, whoops).
Also, I swear I've written a fic with @theinvisiblespoon, but maybe I'm just thinking of the hours we used to spend rp-ing and all the times we've talked about writing a more structured story together and then just never doing it (have you spotted the theme yet?)
12. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Oh gosh, that's so hard. Even back when I only wrote for One fandom I was a multishipper, and now I'm shipping in other fandoms? Too many good choices, how dare you make me choose. If I have to limit it to 5 all time favorites though... Analogical, Moxiety, LAMP, Kanej, and the Leverage OT3.
13. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Undertale! if you go waaay back on my AO3...or, you know, just click on the Undertale fandom link there, you can see the few works that I put out: a series of prompts for Cheer Up the Skeleton Week, an event focusing on depicting Sans as Happy for once, an OC self insert story that I quickly abandoned after a few chapters, and Your Fault, a piece about the multiverse breaking down that I'm still actually pretty proud of, all things considered.
14. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
Oof, that may be the hardest yet. A Fiendly Reunion, because I actually finished it? A Sanders Carol, because it was my first ever Big Bang, and my first ever completed multi-chapter fic? The Secret History of the Invincible II, because it's new and exciting? They're Only Children because I have so many ideas for it? I honestly couldn't tell you. I love all of them, they're all very dear to me.
15. BONUS QUESTION: Do you have a WIP that haunts you?
Dude, all of them. If I've filtered things correctly on AO3, then of the 24 works in progress that I've started, only 9 are actually complete. That's 15 unfinished stories floating around in my mind, and I know it's actually at least 17, because there are two that show up as completed because I'm doing multiple single works in a series instead of chapters in a single work, so they look complete right now but I know that they're not, plus there's a few that never have been posted to begin with. SO many unfinished stories.
But the one that haunts me the most has to be Our Own Villain, because it is quite possibly my oldest wip, over 5 years old at this point, and it's still not finished but I want it to be so badly. Other wips I've kind of made peace with potentially not continuing, but I swear to god, OOV has to finish before I die, even if Sanders Sides as a show has changed so much since January of 2018 when I first had the idea that the whole premise is now fundamentally flawed, I just have to finish. It's my fanfiction white whale.
---
This was fun! If you've never read any of my work before (tho let's be real, if you made it this far you probably have), I do have a masterlist pinned right at the top of this blog that you can check out. Most of this post was sanders sides because it's what I've written the most of, but I'm actually focusing more on some in space with markiplier and six of crows stuff fic wise, as well as my own original writing. Thanks for reading, I'm not going to tag anyone specific since this challenge is so old. Any writer who sees this and wants to do it, go for it!

1) i fucking love how prolific u are holy shit like yaasss king/queen/royalty figure, please relentlessly pelt me with fics...ratatata me with ur machine gun lookin ass (very affectionate)
2) no for real im obsessed how do u write so fast, it's like ur drip-feeding me with fic and im flourishing (thank you sm)
3) im the same anon who was binging the other day and said night-night baby and man u seem cool as hell and i wanna talk to u in the wb discord but don't want to be perceived in big servers so i just lurk like a weirdo but i support u sm *insert kris jenner ur doing great sweetie meme here*
4) onto the actual fic comments (yes i needed 3 prior list items before i got to this), i enjoyed it sm. it was hot and funny LOL. i adore when soldat is just a horny puppy. and zemo, omfg. maybe the real treasure is the milking machine we become along the way, is what i was thinking as your fic ended and it was hilarious
5) i haven't read through all your stuff yet but i was wondering how you felt about AUs? like in settings unrelated to marvel at all but still WB. just curious!
aww thanks im glad you enjoyed that one too! such a fun prompt. love to eat peoples prompts. my fics are unlocked so idk if you can comment as a guest, but here works fine too (no pressure!)
i do not control the speed at which lobsters die fics happen to me 😌
the secret formula:
New Hobby Obsession Phase + way too much time on my hands = fic explosion
plus people dropping prompts and ideas into my brain. eventually fics fall out. plus whatever chaos exists in my head already. thats between god and the devil, i have nothing to do with it
servers can be intimidating!! you can always dm me if you want or continue anon lurking, i get it 💜
i dont have any full AUs posted, they’re all canon divergence at most. it takes a lot to reel me in on a full fledged AU, though of course i have 3 lurking in my wip (“wip”) files. who knows if they’ll ever happen tbh

Hello! This is the beginning of my divination posts, I want to put these out there to be able to help those who stumble across this! Let me know in the comments or tags which pile you chose and if it resonated! Today, I will be using my Seasons of the Witch: Samhain deck!
If you enjoyed this, you should come check out the paid readings that we offer!

Pile 1:
Tumblr media
Pile 2:
Tumblr media
Pile 3:
Tumblr media
Pile 1: Do you need self care time? It is time to take some time to yourself, to enjoy yourself. Enjoying yourself could mean staying home and doing what it is you want to do or get that new thing you've been meaning to try. Don't let others tear you down in this time. If they try, it's time to start putting up some boundaries. Boundaries are essential in making sure you stay afloat. Allow this time to be the start anew. Did you miss your chance at something? Do you need to begin a new phase of your life? That time is coming and it's going to help you in ways you would have never thought of. This opportunity is about to lead you down a great journey in life that will reward you. "You just have to be open to the process" said by Dr. Linda Martin in the show Lucifer is what comes to mind, for you have to trust what is about to happen. Keep an eye out for tricks that might be put your way, something that plans to throw a wrench in your plans. Keep an eye out for the clever details that can be acted upon. Know that your wishes and prayers have been heard by someone out there. All will be well.
Things That Came to Mind: Lucifer (the show and the deity), "You just have to be open to the process", Starbucks, Target, Heinens, Loki (the deity and Marvel Loki), NBC Hannibal, "The Devil is the Details", a recently passed on grandfather spirit, 444
Pile 2: You are about to go through a major transformation, a time where you will grow to newer heights. Know that each person grows at their own rate, no one is ever going to be the same. It could take a few hours or even a few months. Much like pile 1, you have to be open to the process of this transformation. The process that will happen Draw upon your magic, dear witches, for you will need it to summon your inner strength. Is there something that haunts you? Something that chases you and haunts your dreams? This will continue to haunt you until you are ready to face the music. Let your deities/spirit guides/ancestors speak to you and guide you in this time, for they all wish to help guide you. Allow an altar space to speak to them, even if it's in the broom closet or elaborate. Allow yourself to be open to their communication.
Things That Came to Mind: "I can feed the caterpillar and I can whisper through the chrysalis, but... what hatches, follows its own nature and is beyond me.", butterflies, maps, Hekate, the Morrigan, Circe, nightmares.
Pile 3: Have you missed something in your life? Did you miss something crucial in your everyday routine? Have you been missing out on the little things? Do those little things, for they all add up and make a difference, even if tiny. You can bring anything into your life that you desire, for you have the ability to manifest. Be careful of things in your life, for there is deceit in the air. Everything is not as it seems, there is not enough evidence to fully make a claim. Wait before you make any choices currently. Sometimes tricks can be good or in this case: they can be bad. Something means to ruin or deceive you for their own gain. Look at yourself as you are. Quit hiding from what it is that's in front of you, you need to stop lying to yourself. Own who you are, own the person that you've become.
Things That Came to Mind: Manifestation, spells, witchcraft, deceit, revenge, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, shady relationships, manipulators

Back with my minibang fic chapter 2! Don’t know how I forgot to mention my marvelous beta @wsoupofpain in the last post, but shout out to her!!
(Ch. 1) (chap 3) (chappy 4) (ch five) (six)
BREAKING: NASA Lands Earths First Manned Spacecraft on Mars!
A tragedy following the wake of Danny's disappearance and the strange set of circumstances revealed between five points of view. But how did he get caught in the first place? And where did he go?
Chapter two: Broken Spirits (Read it on AO3)
[TW: unethical science and experimentation, neglectful/bad parenting, asphyxiation]
If the timing is suspicious, the doctors Fenton don't think anything of it. Shortly before Danny's disappearance, agents from the Ghost Investigation Ward came to interview Jazz for an internship she applied for, hoping to further her research in ghost psychology before college in order to be taken more seriously. A mere six days after their son goes missing, the G.I.W. agents return to confirm her internship acceptance and approach her parents about a consulting position in their agency.
Apparently, the G.I.W. managed to get their hands on an exciting and unique new test subject, and though all information about the subject is confidential, they believe the Fentons will be able to provide invaluable assistance during the experimentation phase. Despite the strenuous predicament they find themselves in, it's an opportunity they simply cannot pass up, especially not after the government promises to allocate additional resources to finding their missing son.
Besides, being able to work so closely with their daughter is no small comfort after the disappearance of their other child. After the G.I.W. sets them up with a fully equipped ghost science lab, Jazz wanders in from time to time, a relief every time they see her face. She asks questions about their work which they're more than happy to answer in great detail. If it's odd that she's suddenly taking an interest when she never has before, her parents don't think so.
Although they are brought in as consultants specifically because of the new specimen, the Fentons are never allowed to be in the room while the G.I.W. scientists run tests on it, and the closest they ever come to seeing it are the peculiar samples that get delivered to their lab every few days. The ectoplasm samples collected from the specimen are uniquely pure and powerful, but even more intriguingly, the government scientists have somehow been able to collect blood samples from the specimen.
Obviously such a discovery rocks the Fentons to their cores and they waste no time analyzing the blood samples. In them, there are microscopic ectoplasm molecules, invisible to the naked eye, but nonetheless contaminating every cell. Their instruments show that the ectoplasm has corrupted the DNA until it is unrecognizable as fully human blood and no distinct genetic markers can be identified.
"So you can't tell who this person is?" Jazz asks, and her parents laugh a bit at the idea that their daughter might consider a ghost to be a person.
"It's not a 'who' anymore, sweetie," her mother says. "It would have been interesting to study a ghost's genetic markers, but in the end, it doesn't really matter who it was before it became a monster." If she doesn't seem satisfied with this answer, her parents are too distracted to notice.
The agents and science officers of the G.I.W. ask very different questions. "You're sure this is accurate?"
"Of course," Maddie answers. "I designed these instruments myself, and I have no reason not to trust the data they give me."
"What sort of data do these instruments provide?" asks Dr. H, and when Maddie explains, he asks. "Can you make a similar device for me to use in my own lab?"
She says yes, of course.
"Can you make me a device which can see through a ghost's core, for examination purposes?"
Jack is fascinated by the prospect, and readily agrees.
"What materials do you need?" Dr. H asks.
"Can you make me a scanner that can read the spectral equivalent of brain waves? What sort of data do you lack to design such a device?" Such a tricky request when ghosts don't have actual brains, but Maddie is enticed and enthralled by the challenge. She needs to run tests, experiment on her own terms. "Yes, we can provide you with undamaged test subjects. Work quickly."
"Can you create a vacuum capable of containing ghosts?" Not only can they, but they already have. Proudly, the Fentons show off their ghost weasel and all its amazing functions, capable of sucking up and containing vast numbers of ghosts, completely inescapable. "Not that kind of vacuum," Dr. H interrupts. "I was thinking more along the lines of a vacuum chamber. A closed capsule that mimics the lack of atmospheric conditions on, say, the moon."
"Ooh." Jack and Maddie both grow giddy at the implications.
"You're testing the new specimen's potential status as an extremophile! How absolutely marvelous!" Maddie remarks.
"We have observed at least one ghost going into space without a protective suit or space ship, the one who called himself Plasmius," Dr. H agrees. "It's a line of study that has intrigued us."
"But it stands to reason that this new subject might not be able to survive in the vacuum of space as we have observed other ghosts being able to do, depending on how different it is to standard specters." Dr. H nods, but Maddie has already turned away from him, searching for a pencil to start sketching up designs while her husband grabs their sketchpad of blueprints off a countertop. Whatever else the G.I.W. has to say about the Fentons, they certainly work fast. "We can absolutely make a vacuum chamber that can hold a ghost. We'll get started immediately."
Dr. M is a different kind of scientist than Dr. H, and asks very different questions. She's more focused on ghost theory than getting her hands dirty with ectoplasm samples. "I understand that ectoranium is something of a ghost repellent, and it nullifies most of their uncanny abilities."
"It also causes ghosts immense pain to touch the substance, and releases chemical fumes which weaken them and cause them intense discomfort," Maddie adds, only for the notoriously stern Dr. M to shut down her claims.
"It is the opinion of the Ghost Investigation Ward that paranormal entities such as ghosts are non-sentient and not capable of experiencing pain," she says. "Please reserve such foolish postulations as they will be summarily disregarded, and are thus a waste of time."
"Whatever you say," Maddie responds with a knowing smile, shaking her head. She is sure that the G.I.W.'s official stance on whether ghosts can feel pain is wrong, but they likely stand by it out of legal obligation, so she doesn't bother to dispute it.
"Now, after substantial research," Dr. M continues, "I've concluded that ectoranium either does not occur naturally on Earth, or if it does, no naturally occurring source has, of yet, been discovered, however it can be found on certain comets and asteroids. Would the presence of ectoranium deposits affect a ghost's ability to survive in space?"
"I do not believe so," Maddie answers. "My husband and I have observed that ghost Plasmius in exile inhabiting the surface of an asteroid with a confirmed presence of ectoranium. Our research shows that while ectoranium vastly decreases the efficacy of a ghost's more dangerous abilities, like flight and gravity resistance, intangibility, and telekinesis, it's more innate abilities, like functioning without oxygen or maintaining a consistent shape will remain.
"We've discovered certain other stimulants which can cause a ghost to lose the ability to maintain a consistent form, causing it to dissolve, or become amorphous, however we have not found any way to negate a ghosts ability to function without breathing. That seems to be an immutable fact of their existence. Finding a way to suffocate a ghost is one of my husband's pet projects, I'm sure he'd be willing to enlighten you, if you asked."
"That's quite alright, thank you," Dr. M refuses. "I have more questions for you at the current time."
"Ask away!"
"Do you believe it is possible for a human to somehow gain some of the abilities of a ghost?" Maddie lights up at the question.
"Not only is it possible, my husband and I have seen it happen before!" Running to the computer, she enters her password and searches for the appropriate files, certain that Dr. M will find value in them. "A while ago, in Amity Park, there was an outbreak of ghost flu at the local high school, spread by disease carrying ecto-mosquitoes. Now, ghost flu is utterly amazing as a condition because one of the unique symptoms of ghost flu is exhibiting ghost-like abilities."
"Elaborate," Dr. M requests, as if Maddie wouldn't expound unprompted, though she is already planning to before Dr. M asks.
"Victims of ghost flu were able to use at least one ghostly power, intangibility, gravity resistance, duplication, spectral body manipulation—it's unlike anything I've ever seen, even among ghost related afflictions like ecto-acne."
"Do you think it's possible to synthesize a compound that would elicit that kind of reaction without the illness?" Dr. M asks. "A serum of sorts, or perhaps some kind of device, which could give humans ghostly powers?"
"My husband and I have been working on a few theories about that, using controlled ectoplasm exposure in lab rats. Slowly introducing purified ectoplasm—free of the impurities which cause illnesses like ghost flu and ecto-acne—into their bloodstreams, and analyzing the results.
"I can give you the experimentation logs, but so far we've had limited success. Our working theory is that it has something to do with the rate of ectoplasm exposure. Introducing it slowly, the rats' bodies fight the ecto-infection too quickly for it to take effect. The next stage of our experiments is to increase the dosage. We've tried a few times, but found that too high of a dose kills the rats instantaneously. Although it does create ghost rats, it does not create living rats with ghost powers.
"We put the experiments on hold when we came to work in this facility, but now that I'm on the subject, I'm curious to see if we can further this experiment with the information gleaned from the new specimen's blood samples."
"I encourage you to further these experiments posthaste, and report your findings," Dr. M says stiffly. "The G.I.W. is most interested in such experiments. If you require anything to effectively conduct these experiments, do not hesitate to ask."
"Of course!" As with every other question and request, Maddie is more than happy to carry out Dr. M's suggestion, and when she brings it up to her husband later, he enthusiastically agrees. If Dr. M's intentions are worrying, the Fentons don't concern themselves with them.
"Excellent," Dr. M says, and starts to leave.
"Wait!" Maddie stops her. "I know it's not really your department, but do you know if the investigators have made any progress in finding our son?"
"That's not my department," Dr. M says. "If you wish, I can request that the appropriate staff member be directed your way to answer any questions you may have about the investigation."
"Yes please, that would be wonderful," Maddie agrees. "My husband and I will resume the experiments we were talking about right away!"
"Affirmative." With that, Dr. M leaves the lab and Maddie walks over to the workbench they've designated for anti-ghost weaponry to talk to her husband about the experiments to give living creatures ghostly abilities. Just as she suspected, her husband is thrilled at the prospect of returning to those particular experiments with the full support and financial backing of the government.
They waste no time in procuring rats to use as test subjects and working on a way to combine pure ectoplasm with the contaminated blood sample. With the both of them working full time on the compound they synthesize a test dose by the end of the day, and inject the first rat to see the results the next morning.
The following day they're excited to see that the rat's once-brown coat is pure white, and its eyes glow yellow, though there is no corpse in the cage. When the agent comes into the lab to report to the Fentons about the investigation regarding their son, Jack is testing the Rat's reaction to the ghost proof cage and Maddie has just taken the first blood sample and is diluting it in a test tube.
"Agent Q!" Jack's booming voice announces when the man walks through the door. "Any news about our boy?"
"Yes," Agent Q reports, stone-faced and emotionless as always. "It is with regret that I have come to inform you that your son's body was found dead on the shores of Lake Eerie." His monotone voice cuts through the air in the lab like a scalpel and the Fenton parents can only stare in shocked silence. "There was evidence of him being attacked by wild animals, before reaching the lake, but the coroner has determined the cause of death to be drowning. There is no evidence of foul play. It appears the incident was a... tragic accident. Your daughter has agreed to go to the morgue to confirm the identity of the body so as not to take you away from your work, but we are quite sure it is your son. He has the same birthmark."
The silence of the lab is broken by a distant scream in the direction of Lab '05-∆Φ, where the new specimen is undergoing experiments. It sounds like Phantom's ghostly wail, like the screams of a dying child. They can't help but wonder if their boy—if Danny screamed like that before he died. And if the story is unlikely, the parents are too distraught to question it.
A teardrop drips from Maddie's face into the test tube she's holding, and the solution bubbles over. With a gasp, she lets it go, and it plunges toward the ground.
When she drops it... it shatters.

Dragging Frankenstein - prologue
Well, fuck it; I miss posting more various stuff of my own instead of just reblogging, so I'll post the snark I have bestowed on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Don't be misled; it's a hell of an interesting read if one can get over the Regency prose, but the protagonist pisses me off to unholy degrees, so I shan't be too respectful. I'll do it my way, with only arbitrary regards to the lingual differences between Now and Then (rule of Funny goes, folks) and with my silly little counters. Don't take to seriously. Onward to the prologue, and one Captain Robert Walton, who is not our protagonist!
“in a country of eternal light” – wtf, Walton? Does he mean polar days? Bc those are not eternal, but then he does spout a lot of purple prose (and so does the entire book).
And more weird fantasizing – “passage at the pole”, what’s that supposed to be good for? “secret of the magnet”???
“my education was much neglected” – yeah, stop marveling at your self-taught brilliance already; I swear, Walton and Victor both are so egotistical it’s no miracle they can take an interest only in one another.
Also, Walton had an emo poet phase. And his Chemical Romance didn’t take off. LOL.
“worked harder than the common sailors” – sure you did, you spoiled little rich kid. “preferred glory to luxury” – I’m getting distinct Stede Bonnet vibes here, and in a very Privileged White Guy way. And he keeps exotizing Russia. I SO PRIVILEGED: 1
“longing for a friend” calls in the Gay™, and after bashing his so-beneath-him sailors for a bit, it settles in with “I desire the company of a man […] whose eyes would reply to mine. You may deem me romantic…” Counter starts now. DAS GAY: 2
“shall certainly find no friend on the ocean” – yeah, chill out, we saw your subtle foreshadowing. Why does he keep telling his SISTER how his early life went??
His “best years spent under your gentle and feminine fosterage” leading to a distaste of brutality is ever so slightly sexist in several directions, but it also rings in the theme of every goddamn female character being cast in the light of a maternal figure – even when that is not the relation in which she stands to the character in question. EVERY WOMAN IS A MOM: 1
Whyyyyy does the gossip about his ship master’s failed love story take up so much space? I dunno this guy???
“as silent as a Turk”, “ignorant” and “savage inhabitant of some island” – oh, hai, racism!
Is one single dog really strong enough to pull a sledge with a person plus luggage on it?
Funny how Walton describes Victor as all emaciated and shit, and yet goes insta-thirsty like “must have been a noble creature in his better days, being even now in wreck so attractive and amiable” – and Victor is “uneasy when anyone except myself enters his cabin”, gotcha. DAS GAY: 4
And five minutes after knowing him, Walton declares him the “brother of my heart”, and his “affection for my guest increases every day”. DAS GAY: 6
The unfounded praises of Victor being “wise, noble, gentle” get on my nerves, but imagine my eyebrows at the lines “a groan burst from his heaving breast” and “my thirst for a more intimate sympathy”. Because… huh. DAS GAY: 7
Bitch, where do you get off calling your sister fastidious? She probably had the same education you did! Get your ego out here.
Walton’s crush on Frankenstein is already getting old; does he need to gush about him like he’s the bees’ knees? He doesn’t know this asshole at all! “his lustrous eyes with their melancholy sweetness” – ok, Walton needs to get laid. DAS GAY: 8
What a queer intro, and no, I don't plan to stop making fun of this kind of language. It's the only redeeming grace of these characters.

I watched Antman And The Wasp: Quantumania last night and I have some thoughts!
If you haven’t seen the movie and don’t want to be spoiled, I’d suggest you don’t push the ‘read more’ button. If you have watched it or are nosy (like me) go ahead! And if you're currently not the biggest MCU fan, just letting you know that it's a good review, so do with it as you will.
Okay, let’s get into it.
I watched the movie in 3D and English, thank God, so I got the full experience.
I want to start off by saying that I had both low and high expectations, the former coming from a fear of Marvel screwing up Phase 5 and making me not enjoy their movies as much as I used to, and the latter because of the same reason because I don't want Marvel to screw it up and I hoped Antman would be as good as the trailer promised. I also hoped for Marvel to do their best at starting off Phase 5 after so much talk about how exciting it was going to be and that the future of the MCU was looking up again. I hoped for that.
In the end, Antman wasn't as good as it was promised in the trailer and the many reviews of the first screening I've read before.
It was better. Much, much better. And that comes from a personal place, of course, and how I viewed it, but let me just say, the entire room was burning (in a good way) and I wasn't the only one blown away.
Now that I've said it, I have to explain why I think that way. Or, I want to because I'm annoying and I like to share my opinion on things that no one asked for. (And most of you voted for more Daredevil thoughts no one asked for in the poll I made - this may not be Daredevil or Matt Murdock related, but in the end DD: Born Again will be part of Phase 5 so Antman actually plays an important part. It just set an example for what's about to come.)
1) I went into this movie with the fear that Marvel rushed the CGI again and completely missed the point (I liked Thor: Love And Thunder but the special effects and world building could have been better) so I kind of went into it with the fear that they ruined it. It, however, did not disappoint. Marvel did not disappoint with the CGI or world building. They did an incredible fucking job with it. And whoever is leaving terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes... have you watched the movie? Because from what I've read, we've seen two entirely different versions. And I'm not saying this because I'm prejudiced (okay, maybe I'm holding onto too much hope, but whatever, I've viewed this movie entirely objectively because I was not convinced that Marvel would actually pull it off). The movie did exactly that. They pulled it off. Which brings me to…
2) They outdid themselves with the world building. I watched it in 3D, as previously stated, and I felt as if I was actually there. The Quantum Realm was so well-made, I can't really describe it. It partly looked like I was staring at the corals under the sea, then there were obviously some of the elements that we saw in Multiverse of Madness when they, like, entered the broken Multiverse. It was a lot, but it was well-made. Anyway! Watching it, I found myself thinking back to when Endgame came out and I watched the big battle scene. You know, when Marvel didn’t rush their projects? They did amazing and I bow down to the team. It was great, it gave me many different vibes and I just felt so enchanted at certain points because they created something magical with this. I might be exaggerating, everyone is going to have a different opinion on this movie, and that’s okay, but in my opinion, this was an amazing start and I hope Marvel continues doing what they did with Antman in their future projects.
3) The details. Let's talk about the details. The Quantum-People (I will call them that now) weren't overdone. They looked as real as something that actually doesn't exist can look real, and I was in love with the creature without holes (I have no idea what else to call him). The detail with the "ooze" that made them understand the language of the Quantum-People was also an amazing addition and of course, a necessity; I would not have sat through two hours of gibberish. And when it came to the Quantum Realm and the core, I could have sworn I saw hints at the mirror dimension. It looked like mirrors floating around anyway. And the probabilities that split Hope and Scott into several parts of themselves? Yeah, it really looked like I was staring at a million Paul Rudd's. I'm not kidding, if Marvel had done it like She-Hulk, I would not have been convinced because it would not have looked as real as it did. There are other details that I can't quite remember, I would have to watch it again to go deeper, but who knows, maybe I will. I loved it and I would so watch it again.
4) The balance between comedy, darkness and drama was perfect. We know Scott Lang is a funny guy and Paul Rudd was born for that role, but they incorporated jokes at just the right moments, and they weren’t overdone. It made the entire cinema laugh, and didn’t feel forced. Not to speak of the battle scene at the end, it had me at the edge of my seat. I thought Cassie was going to die, then I thought Scott was going to die, then I thought Hope was going to die... I had a lot of thoughts all the time. They really made it so that you wouldn't suspect anything. I thought the villagers would lose; they didn't. I thought something might happen to our protagonists; nothing happened. Or, something did happen, but no one died. And then I thought Kang would still win, especially when he pulled Scott away from the portal and beat him senseless. I was almost crying because I thought Marvel killed another Avenger, but then Hope came and she saved the day. And they still managed to make me laugh throughout even the parts that had me scared for everyone's lives, and then I cried when the portal disappeared and I was like: NO GOD PLEASE NO. But they’re safe (for now). They came back. They made it out. That's all that matters for now. We are not looking into the future because God forbid, I am scared for every single MCU character - no one is safe!
5) I really loved Cassie. That’s it. I don’t have more to say. She was perfectly badass while sharing her father’s humor and attitude (which I completely support) so they did a great job with her too.
6) The Ants. They did the movie title justice. It wasn't just some timeline slash multiversal mess, they actually incorporated the ants and Hank's connection to the ants. And the way they started building their own technology? We need to appreciate the intelligence of ants because they're not just smart in the movie, they're also pretty smart insects in real life!
When they came to save everyone’s asses in the end? I was like, ‘You go ants!’ And I liked Hank in this movie too. Jane not so much, but with that I mean her character and not the acting performance. They did all remarkably well.
I’m not a movie critic, so I don't have a professional view of things or whatever, but it was really great and they exceeded my expectations with how the characters were portrayed, what they did and when they appeared. And the casting of Kang is *chef's kiss* honestly. I thought it when watching Loki and I'm even more convinced now that he is going to absolutely kill it in Phase 5. Amazing villain, amazing actor, well done! (Now I sound like one of those critics, but I promise, I'm not. I'm just an obsessed fangirl who doesn't know much, she just likes to watch movies, and now also reads comics, and who's just chronically obsessed with Marvel and everything relating to it.)
6) The foreshadowing at the end, at first, made me think, I knew this would come; the fear of Kang and what he said about everyone dying and Scott worrying about it. I expected that much, but then the mid-credit scene came on and I was like ‘hold up a minute, WHAT?’ When all of Kang’s variants got together to conjure up some evil plan. I did not expect that.
7) AND THEN LOKI IN THE POST-CREDIT SCENE? I thought to myself, maybe we’ll get the trailer for season 2 (and I’m really not that excited for it because of the last season, but I’m still gonna watch the shit out of it), and then the scene came on and I saw Loki AND Mobius together, sniffing out Kang, and I gasped. I audibly gasped. ‘Cause it was an entirely different timeline and I’m not sure if those were our Loki and Mobius or variants, but I guess we’ll find out in the show. And Kang will return, so he IS gonna be the villain of Phase 5 (which we all already knew) and I think that’s awesome.
Maybe I’ll talk some more when I’ve processed what I watched. But for now, that’s what struck me the most.

People who complain about the “quality” of Marvel movies going down are weak. Like, no I will not admit Phase 4 is worse than the other phases! I refuse!
Sure, the streak of “Black Panther,” “Thor Ragnarok” and “Infinity War” was the height.
But, phase 1 had “Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” and “Thor” one right after another. TIH came out in 2008 and Thor in 2011. That was a YEARS LONG low we have not replicated.
They have always been hit or miss. And they always shall be. The last hit was Spider-man and that was mere months ago. You memory is very short, sweet summer child.
If you want to complain about a specific arc or story, fine, that is what tumblr is for. But don’t try to lie to me and say it used to be better. I had to pay extra to see Thor in 3D (a format I do not enjoy and heightens flaws in films, IMO) So like, at least I paid regular admission for MoM.
(I don’t mean to slam Thor because it is the best of those three films but I remember having to put on those dumb glasses on OVER my regular glasses and just being like, “crap.”)

Marvel in Phase 1
You know the small details you miss the first time you watch a movie. Yeah, me too. I always get excited when I learn something new about a movie. Recently I rewatched the first phase of the Avengers movies. Normally I would’ve just rewatched the movies, but this time I tried to discover the things I might have missed.
Rewatching these films on my phone was a lot different from watching them on the TV or at the Cinema. For instance, the little details are a lot harder to notice on the TV or on the screen at a movie theater. I also find it more comfortable on my bed than it would be if I were to go to the theater. Which is great, however, it’s more exciting to see the movies in theater. For my family going to the cinema is a very rare occurrence and we only tend to go for a special occasion, but the overall experience is worth it. Besides the fact that you can’t pause the movie, the cinema prevents you from getting distracted from the movie by sucking you in with its massive screen and insanely loud speakers.
I also learned new things about the movies themselves. Tony Stark's genius has always amazed me. To start off Tony was able to build a miniaturized arc reactor from scrap metal during his capture at the hands of the Ten Rings. Towards the end of the movie, it is revealed that this is an amazing feat as even the best of Stark Industries engineers could recreat the design, even though they have the best equipment they could find. Although only seen briefly the engine for one of Tony’s cars is quite advanced for something built in 2008, which fans can assume was built by Tony himself.  In Iron Man 2, Tony uses a phone that has a holographic screen, which I assume he made. He was also able to hack into the TV screens at this conference in a matter of seconds, which is a pretty difficult feat.

Along with this cell phone, Tony makes constant use of his holograms to help him design new technology. Not to mention his creation of J.A.R.V.I.S. an Artificial Intelligence that controls his house and helps him with the creation of Iron Man.

I'm not a huge fan of the Captain America Movies so I didn't really pay attention to the First Avenger the first time I watched it. It wasn't until I rewatched it that I realized Howard Stark was working on the technology to create flying cars. I completely forgot about the scene at the end of the film where Steve wakes up in 2010 in a room that makes it appear as though it's still the 1940s.
Did you know that Thanos was first introduced in the Avengers? This small fact had slipped from my memory.  Though his name is never mentioned there is a brief moment at the end of the film where his face can be seen on the screen. He was also a darker shade of purple than he is in the later Avengers movies.
These movies are the foundations that later became one of the most dominating forces in modern television.
