martina: love at first bite (mini bachelorette challenge) 🌹

new york city’s lower east side vampire clan is famous for their annual holiday party. each december, the clan puts on one of the most anticipated events across the supernatural community at the goulding hotel, their refurbished headquarters. as the clan leader, ronnie’s name is on the invitation, but it’s the clan’s matriarch martina who’s particularly enthusiastic about the celebration and works tirelessly to make it flawless.

martina pacheo is happy nurturing and mentoring fledglings who find their way to the clan and working downtown at a fashion house. her true age is a mystery, but she’s got at least two centuries under her belt. martina was married to her mortal true love until his death a long, long time ago and hasn’t been in a relationship since. she’s a hopeless romantic at heart even if she’s given up on finding love for herself ever again. her clan decided to mark their hundredth holiday party by trying to turn martina’s head!

graceful, charming, and elegant, martina has an old-world glamour about her that draws people in. she’s broken plenty of hearts unintentionally without lifting a finger. thoroughly goodhearted, she loves her family fiercely & they adore her back, hence the clan’s little scheme to invite special guests in the hopes that someone will sweep her off her feet!

martina’s traits are good, creative, and art lover.

the rules:

- entrees don’t have to be vampires, but after the heartbreak of losing her mortal husband, martina won’t consider a relationship with a non-immortal. any immortal being is fair game, though, so feel free to be creative!

- must be okay with sims undergoing minor tweaks to “match” my game (just stuff like my eye and teeth presets)

- any amount of cc is ok, just gimme 1 formal outfit

- romance-oriented traits or aspirations are ok! story will most likely override game mechanics for me, though i’ll rely on that for the tough decisions :)

- will be accepting 7 entries of any gender

- backstories encouraged! ramble! lemme read! pick one of martina’s friends and explain why they invited your sim if you want!

Lucien Cox sends her love and warmest regards to the gorgeous Martina Pacheo and the Vampires of the Manhattan Lower East Side. @wildmelon

Lucien is a transwoman, she/her ● lesbian ● traits: ambitious, jealous, loyal

Most nights have Lucien busy, both as a vampire and a jazz singer at The Pearlescent— a lounge tucked away deep in the shadows of Brooklyn, New York. The Pearl has been a safe haven for New York’s supernatural population since the late nineteenth century. Lucien has earned a bit of a reputation since she’s started singing there, became something of a mother to the young performers that seek The Pearl for refuge. She isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty for them.

Lucien received an invitation from the lovely Dove because what is a party without Lucien? Dove and Lucien haven’t always had the best relationship the past few decades or so—chalk it up to petty squabbles and that damn velvet coat Dovey borrowed during the prohibition and still hasn’t returned… but everyone knows it’s hard to stay mad at Dove for long.

Lucien couldn't attend last year's event, it coincided with the lounge's Sexy Santa Show. She can't wait to mingle this year!

Facts:

At The Pearlescent, Lucien performs under a stage name: Adonis, after Aphrodite’s lover.

Lucien loves pet names. Some of the sweeter ones are reserved for the people she cherishes. For the most part, “doll” or “love” are usually attached to the ends of her sentences.

Lucien made her start at The Pearl doing drag performances—it’s actually where her stage name comes from. She still does drag a few nights a week, although she’s changed her drag persona a lot in the last decade.

Lucien owns a bit of The Pearl. A deal was written up between her and the current owner sometime during their fleeting romantic relationship. Only recently did they realize Lucien conned them into it.

Lucien hasn’t belonged to a vampire clan for a long time. Most of her allegiances align with The Pearl and the city’s forgotten souls that find their way there. She does miss the deep connection that comes with being a part of a clan.

The necklace she wears with the sword pendant belonged to friend that was turned with her way back when. Unfortunately, he was killed when they were still fledglings, so she wears his necklace to remember him.

She has a secret interest in cooking, despite not needing to eat in the same way humans do. She’s absolutely terrible at it. But it’s fun, even romantic.

You can't even bribe Lucien to sleep in a coffin. Nothing compares to her plush mattress and goose down pillows. No way in hell is she putting on her sexy chemise just to tuck into a wooden box.

also thank you for letting us include Martina's friends in our character bios!! I love to think she adores Dove like she would a sibling. She may say she doesn't like them, but she's given them an affectionate nickname anyway. I feel like they would have a love-hate relationship that's solely based on being petty, but they have each other's back when it comes to it.

you’d be hard-pressed to find out how long martina, ronnie, and dominik have been together. it’s clearly been a while, though. the de facto mother of the lower east side clan, martina has a certain grace about her. she works part time as a fashion archivist downtown where the employees don’t ask too many questions.
