— throughout his busy days of quidditch practices and school, sometimes he struggles without saying anything. school can be a challenge for him with balancing his busy schedule, so helping him study or with homework means more to him thank you think.

he’s literally so so so clingy, he has some separation anxiety sometimes :(. he’s always sure to tell you he loves you before one of you leaves. when you come back, his hands are instantly all over you and tightly wrapped around you.

— homemade gifts or even random ones that you say reminded you of him are his favorite ones. he adores the fact that you think of him even randomly.

-- once he eventually realizes you know where his scars are coming from and why he goes away once a month, he opens up to you so much more. he slowly lets you care and pamper him after some time. he's not open to everyone about this-hardly even sirius, but to you he shows a different side of himself where he isn't always ashamed.

— same with sirius, growing up hearing his mother and fathers disgracing words, and hearing your soft words of reassurance.

— even if it's spending time in the silence, reg loves every second of it. he specifically loves when he lays his head in your lap and you play with his messy curls. spending time with him or even clearing your schedule for him makes him feel truly important to you.

How They Hug You

Harry Potter

With Harry, the hugs were always long overdue. Each time you feel the need to wrap your arms around him, he was all too eager. You always wrapped your arms around his neck, pressing your cheek to his, and pressing yourself tight against him, because most of the time, the little love it provided was so much needed.

Ron Weasley

Often, you and Ron stood and held each other on the norm. You loved to wrap your arms around his torso and bringing your arms up to grip his shoulders. You rested your head on his chest as he stroked your hair, peppering your face and head with kisses.

Draco Malfoy

Draco wasn’t typically a hugger. He was more physical when you were alone, but if you ever needed a hug and he knew this, he’d allow you to wrap your arms tight around him. He holds your head in place, pressing a small kiss to the side of your head. But, it didn’t last for long, as he’d pull away before too long.

Fred Weasley

Fred was always, always hugging you. Whether you were cleaning your broom, making yourself some tea, or working on homework, Fred would always come behind you with a hug meant solely for you. Although sometimes this was a pain for what you were doing, you would still smile lightly.

George Weasley

George loves hugs. A lot of the time, as you walk by him in the common room, class, or in the Great Hall, he usually grabbed you and pulled you to him so he could wrap his arms around your tightly. You’d just laugh, resting your arms around his shoulders or on his hands, waiting for him to get his hugs out of his system.

Cedric Diggory

Every single time you’d try to walk away from Cedric, he’d grab you by the hand and yank you back to him. He always needed to get one last hug from you, and you were so grateful for this. When his death came, all you could think about was the last hug you had form him.

Neville Longbottom

It was fact that Neville gave the best hugs. You wouldn’t hear else wise from anyone else, no matter what. Neville wasn’t particularly social or bold, but when it came to you, he was a new person. He’d always pull you against him, sometimes a little rough, just to feel your body tight against his. You adored him for this, and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

The Marauders:

James Potter

No matter the occasion, you always threw yourself upon James. You had made it a game for yourself to try to knock him off balance, causing you both to crash to the ground, but he was too good. He’d always catch you, wrapping his arms right around your waist and holding you in the air as you giggled wildly. It was a tradition you wouldn’t forfeit.

Sirius Black

It was Sirius’ personal favorite to hug you from behind. He’d take his strong arms and wrap them around your body, arms and all, and rest his head on your shoulder, having casual conversation with you. You didn’t mind one bit because you adored the warmth and secure feeling Sirius brought when he wrapped his arms around you.

Remus Lupin

Your beloved Remus gave the sweetest hugs. You always initiated them,m by wrapping your arms right around his torso, invading his personal space and resting your head on his chest. He’d comply with you and wrap his arms around you, gentle as ever, just as you loved.

notes: i have not written anything in so long, 6 freaking months and i am so proud of this. i hope you all enjoy this <3

You were sat quietly with Remus at your side as Dumbledore paced around his study, keeping you both in the dark and not giving you a chance to ask questions. You were quickly becoming irritated at his lack of words because of the fact that he owled you and asked you to come into Hogwarts immediately because there was important matters to be discussed.

You weren’t oblivious to the rumors circulating the Wizarding world, and you silently wished they were true, “Is it true? What people are whispering about?”

Remus stilled in his seat and Dumbledore haltered his steps, taking a few moments to calculate his thoughts before speaking. “It is, Sirius is no longer held in Azkaban, he escaped some months ago.”

The words died in your throat but Remus piped in rather quickly, “Months ago? Why are they just now telling you?”

Dumbledore chuckled lightly and finally sat himself in his seat across the two of you, “I was informed the minute they knew, Remus. The reason I am letting the two of you know is because people are also beginning to think that he is coming after Harry.”

There was a sharp pain that flittered through your chest as they spoke of him as a criminal, “He isn’t a criminal, and he would never hurt Harry.”

“He was our best friend and he did what he did to James and Lily. I know you loved him but he wasn’t who we thought.”

You could feel the anger bubbling up inside of you as Remus easily talked about his distrust to his former best friend. The words left your lips practically in a growl, “How many times do I have to tell you he wasn’t the bloody secret keeper, Lupin? He had given the task to Peter! He knew that if Voldemort were to come look for them he’d be the first one to go after. Peter was the one to betray the Potter’s and you’ve spent all these year wronging an innocent man.”

The room grew silent and your chest felt as if it was being pushed down and you were finding it quite hard not to start crying. You missed how things used to be, how things were before you had all left Hogwarts. Dumbledore clearly sensing the tension elevating quickly in the room spoke up, “Even if he is an innocent man he now looks guilty for fleeing.”

You slumped in your seat and tried drowning out the conversation but you couldn’t, not when it was something as important as this. “Remus, I am offering you a position here to keep a better eye on the boy.”

“I do not know if it would be safe for me to be here-to be around the students.”

“We had accommodations for you when you attended here, I am sure they will fit just as well now.”

“What will I be doing?”

Dumbledore cleared his throat before speaking, “Just keep an eye out for Mr. Black, any information must be brought back to me.”

You remained quiet as you contemplated what he wanted, “You want me to turn him in if he finds me?”

“If you wish to prove his innocence he must stand before the Wizengamot, we can not give him a trial if he is not here.”

You eyed him and wrung your hands nervously, “How do I know he will not be thrown back in there? Like the first time, without a trail, with no one listening to him. How do I know this won’t be any different?”

“You have my word.”

Dumbledore’s words weighed heavily on your mind and after a few moments you had come to the conclusion that you believed what he was telling you, that you could trust him. “Fine, if I hear anything, if I see him, I will inform you.”

You were pulling him back as the tears threatened to spill from your eyes, barely keeping the sobs as he kept trying to leave. “Sirius, just stay home! There’s nothing you can do about it and it isn’t safe for you to leave!”

He was sobbing angrily and shakes were running all through his body, “I should’ve just stayed their secret keeper! This wouldn’t have happened because I would’ve died before I let him find them!”

You were holding him close to you as he fought against you and you both cried, mourned the loss of your closest friends. After awhile he stopped fighting and his knees gave in, both of you falling onto the floor and holding onto each other, “I have to go after him, I have to bring Harry home.”

“It isn’t safe, I can’t lose you too.”

A quite whimper left his lips but he stood up, walking quickly towards the door, “I’ll be back, I can’t have him out there, knowing he is the reason my best friends are dead.”

You could see the anger growing inside of him again and before you could say anything else, he was gone.

You woke up quickly, gasping for air and trying the calm your rapidly beating heart. It had been over twelve years since your last night with Sirius and it still haunted you. Your hand reached out for the cup of water you normally had on your nightstand but sighed quietly when you weren’t met with anything.

You got out of bed and sluggishly made your way towards your kitchen, stilling when a black figure ran through your kitchen and out to your living room. The panic began to settle into you as you searched for your wand and couldn’t find it.

You grabbed the closest thing to you, which was a cutting board, and quickly tried making your way back to the stairs to run back to your bedroom.

There was a low growl, which was quickly followed by a whimper, your whole body stilled and the cutting board fell from your fingertips, “Padfoot? Sirius is that you!”

Your legs quickly carried you towards your living room and you were met with a large black dog with glowing grey eyes. Another whimper left his mouth and he made his way towards you, his face rubbing against your legs. The tears rapidly fell from your eyes and he whimpered louder.

You could see Sirius transforming in front of you, and your knees gave in on you and you engulfed him in a hug, his arms quickly wrapping around you as well. He still felt so familiar and both of you couldn’t seem to be close enough as you clung onto each other.

“I’ve missed you.”

His voice was strained and horse but he was there, right in front of you after all these years, “I’ve missed you too, Pads. You have no idea.”

Your body was shaking and you pressed your lips to his temple, running your fingers through his long hair and slowly trying to untangle the knots as he nuzzled closer to you. “I’m tired.”

You laughed quietly and pulled him up with you, “You need to shower first, then we can get you into bed, yeah?”

He weakly nodded and let you pull him up the stairs, turning the water on and letting the tub fill. Your eyes stayed on his figure as he let his clothes fall, his eyes closed as he sleepily sunk himself into the tub. A very content smile on his face as the warm water engulfed his body. “Come in with me.”

Your cheeks burned deeply but quickly undressed and sat in the tub with him, moving closer and cupping water in your hands to pour over his head, helping him wash his hair thoroughly.

His head fell onto your shoulder just as you finished helping him clean up, “Lets get you to bed.”

He waited for you to get out and wrap a towel around yourself before he got up and did the same to himself. You slipped on the clothes you had on before you went to bed and left to your bedroom to find him something to change into. When you entered the bathroom he was trying not to fall asleep as he waited for you, “Change into these, Pads.”

He moved quickly and as he was walking out to the bedroom he grabbed your hand and pulled you along with him, laying on the bed and groaning quietly. “I don’t remember the last time I slept on a bed.”

You could feel a frown settling onto your face as you laid with him, pulling him towards you so his head was resting on your chest. Your fingers rubbed his scalp and his voice began to slur as he began to feel asleep, “We’re never getting up from here.”

For those few minutes before you fell asleep you let yourself believe that it was true, that the two of you were going to be able to stay in bed and in the comfort of each other forever.

You woke up to someone’s head tucked into your neck and you had to blink a few times before all of the memories from last night flooded into your mind. A smile made its way onto your lips and you pushed his long hair from his face, letting your finger trace over the tiny scars that littered his face and admiring his long dark lashes.

Just as your eyes closed again there was a knock from your front door and you stilled. Quickly moving from Sirius’ grasp and fixing the blankets so they looked bunched up and hid him from immediate view. You quickly walked down and opened the door to find Remus staring at you sheepishly.

It had been months since you had last seen him, not since the two of you were in Dumbledore’s office. The two of you had too much tension built up between the two of you after that and just stayed away. “Rem-hi, what are you doing here?”

He blew a raspberry and shuffled on his feet, “I’ve been meaning to come and see you, you’re the last one I have, my last form of family and I just miss you.”

You pulled him into a hug and nodded, “I’ve missed you too Remus, come in.”

As he made his way towards your couch you hoped for Sirius to remain asleep, but as soon as the two of you got comfortable there was continuous movement that were obviously footsteps heard above the two of you. “Is someone here?”

“Yeah, um-I’m just letting a friend stay over for a few days while he gets something’s sorted.”

He gave you a swift nod and smiled as he played with the throw pillows on your couch, “Do you really think he’s innocent?”

You could hear Sirius moving towards the stairs before his steps faltered and they quieted down, “I do, I know he is Remus. He wasn’t the secret keeper, but I know he’s regretted everyday not being it. He thought they would be safer, Peter was our friend, his brother.”

“I believe you, I mean I believe he didn’t do it. I think I just decided to blame him because I felt bad for even doubting him and it was just easier. The only thing I can’t excuse was Peters death, he betrayed them, but Sirius murdered all those muggles and all he left was Wormtail’s finger.”

The last words came out as a whisper and you stilled, his quite footsteps were heard slowly down the stairs, “I don’t have an explanation for that, I just know he didn’t do it, he doesn’t have it in him.”

“You still speak about him as if he were around.”

“Well he never really left, not for me.”

As you finished speaking, Sirius walked into the living room, his long hair neatly placed in a bun and wearing his old clothes that looked odd on his body. Remus stood up quickly and you were scared at both of their reactions but before you could stand up they were both embracing each other, smiling and both trying their best not to cry. Once the two of them pulled away there were permanent smiles on all three of your faces. “How-when did you get back, Pads?”

Sirius’ sat besides you and took your hand in his, “Last night. I had been circling the neighborhood for a few weeks but I was too scared to come in.”

His thumb rubbed the back of your hand and as much as things felt right, you could tell he had changed quite a lot. His eyes never met yours, his voice was low and timid, he was afraid.

“I hate to burst this bubble, but we need to get Dumbledore here.”

And Remus’ words did burst the bubble the three of you were in, shattering it like glass and you could feel the tension growing inside of you just like you could see it in Sirius. “He promised to help you, to form a proper case for you this time.”

You could see the fear in his eyes as they formed into tears, not trusting the words that left your lips. “He gave me his word.”

His eyes locked on yours and a few stray tears left his eyes but he rubbed them away quickly, “I didn’t kill them, all those muggles or Peter. He killed them and disappeared and before I knew it I was surrounded by Auror’s with a wand pointed at everyone who was on the floor.”

The tension was felt all throughout the room before he cleared his throat, “I don’t want to go back, but if you trust him, the both of you, to help me then let him know I’m here.”

“I do, Pads. He’ll help you.”

He gave you a small smile and pressed his forehead to yours, “I’m not leaving you again.”

You pressed your lips to his cheek and rubbed the tear stains that were left on them, “Never.”

The Yule Ball is on in a few days and he hasn’t asked you yet. You’d thought Sirius would’ve asked you by now but no, he hasn’t. Actually, he’s been ignoring you since he caught you flirting with a guy from Slytherin. But you weren’t together so it wasn’t right for him to get mad. But you saw him flirting with some blonde girl from Ravenclaw and boy it got underneath your skin.

He caught you and just gave you a wink making you snap your quill in half, Marlene noticed with a slight frown. “That’s the fifth time you broke a quill, and it’s not even a full week yet.” She says making you roll your eyes.

“She’s angry due to Sirius choosing a Ravenclaw girl to the Yule Ball-”

“hE cHOsE tHE RaVEnCLaW gIRl?!” You snapped with a high pitch squeal making Lily taken back. You snap your head away from her as you look back down at the parchment as you pull out another quill and began writing down hastily, writing out Slughorn’s potion homework.

“Y/N, Slughorn’s not going to be able to read that. Uh, can I do it?” Lily ask, worried that the sixth quill will snap any second now. You huffed as you didn’t budge.

“Oh my Merlin! He’s kissing her!” Marlene whispers making you snap your head up seeing that it’s true, you felt your heart shatter as you dropped your quill and look down at the parchment. Lily and Marlene look at each other then decided to help you pack up and work somewhere else.

“Honestly what a dick.” Lily states as she walks down the hall entering outside. “You deserve so much better.” She says as Marlene nods in agreement.

“Well he is James’s friend.” Marlene says making Lily show a slight blush as they continue walking down to the lake.

You sigh as you look at them. “I don’t think I’m going to the stupid ball.” You say making the two turn to face you, eyes widen.

“Oh no! There’s no way you’re not gonna have fun due to Sirius being a prick! You’re going to show him what he’s missing out on.” Lily says sternly making Marlene smirk with her.

You bite your lip thinking.

“He’s playing a cruel game, Y/N. Like cat and mouse. He’s making you feel worse so you can come back and apologise for flirting with him. But the thing is, you’re gonna make him come back begging you to forgive him.” Marlene smiles, sitting next to you around around your shoulder.

“Exactly, make that boy sorry for treating you like he is.” Lily smirk, sitting next to you.

You then smirk looking at them as you show a sinister look in your eyes. “I think it’s time for my turn for some fun.”

Lily and Marlene had helped you with your makeup and Merlin you look gorgeous. Dark eye makeup with winged eyeliner and dark red lipstick. The dress was a short black dress with a lace top and sleeveless, this was showing off your legs with black ribbon heels. Your hair was done in a messy bun with a braid but it looked stunning as.

You walk your way down with the two stunning girls, Lily and Marlene. You see your date Aiden Thornheart and walked over towards him whilst Lily and Marlene found their dates and wondered off.

You walk down an aisle showing off your dress. You see Sirius with the blonde Ravenclaw girl, she was wearing a simple blue dress as Sirius looked heavenly handsome, but you couldn’t tell him that. You hold Aiden’s arm as you both walk down. You saw Sirius’s jaw clench as the blonde was talking but clearly he wasn’t paying attention.

“Is that Y/N? Damn she’s hot-OW!” Lily had elbowed James making Peter giggle.

“She’s very stunning.” Remus mumbles turning a slight shade of red making James smirk.

“Too bad Sirius missed out-HEY!” Peter squeals looking down at his ruined white suit, covered in butterbeer. Sirius growled as he pulls the Ravenclaw girl away from them.

“Someone’s jelly.” Marlene smirks, taking a drink from her butterbeer.

“He ruined my suit!” Peter exclaims angrily.

“This is gonna turn out either horrible or fantastic.”

You and Aiden danced along the floor, smiling into each other. You then feel a hand on your shoulder, you look at Aiden who is frowning as you then turn around to face Sirius, who looks like he’s going to explode.

“I need to talk to Y/N for a minute.” Sirius says sternly making Aiden frown as he cross his arms. But before getting an approval he drags you away from Aiden as he takes you outside the ball room and into a broom closet.

He pushes you in as he closes the door. You frown as you cross your arms above your chest, watching him.

“What the hell are you doing, Sirius? Aren’t you meant to be with that Ravenclaw girl?” You ask making him frown.

“What am I doing?! What the hell are you doing?! Dancing with Aiden Thornheart! Hell you were about to kiss him-”

“Why should you care Sirius? We’re not dating.” You state, a small smirk on your lips. This stopped him, he looked down as his jaw clenched. “Now if you don’t mind, I’m going back to my date.” You say as you push by him as you open the door but this stops you.

“I’m sorry...”

You stop dead in your tracks as you turn to face him, but his back was facing yours.

“Sirius-”

“I’m sorry! Okay! I’m sorry for making you jealous, making you cry, for everything! I’m a dick for it, and I honestly hate seeing you with someone else. Sure we’re not dating but Merlin I wish you were mine. This game we’re playing, it’s cruel and I’m sorry for playing. I was jealous for seeing you and Aiden talking, and something sparked in me making me so furious and I wanted to teach you a lesson. Which ended in cruelty. I broke that Ravenclaw girl’s heart and I broke yours. I know you probably wouldn’t forgive me and I understand that.”

This... This was a new side of Sirius you’ve never seen before. You bite down your lip as you close the door and turned to face him. You grab his cheek as you lift it to face him, eyes meeting eyes.

“That’s all I needed to hear.” You say making him frown in confusion as you smash your lips against his as he immediately reacts to your touch. His lips pressed against yours as he slightly pushes you against the wall.

“So, will you be my girlfriend?” He asked as he starts kissing down your neck as you moan slightly.

“Of course.”

You sit down in Potions class next to Marlene and Lily who are both smirking. You pull out your parchment and quill as you set up.

“So the plan worked I see.” Lily says giggling making you smirk. You raise your scarf higher.

“You’re welcome by the way.” Marlene winks making you roll your eyes.

You look up seeing Sirius staring at you as he winks, admiring his handywork on your neck. You blush as you shake your head looking down.

Finally this cruel game between you and him is over.
