Imagine Lily being the fun mom while James is the protective dad. Sirius would find the change absolutely hilarious, mocking him every time he visits but doing it with unbelievable fondness. Sirius would fall even more in platonic love with Lily, tossing Harry up and laughing together at James' attempts to whisk him away despite Lily casting cushioning and protective charms. Sirius would be so surprised by James yet so proud of him, telling Remus all about it.

It would be great at first but terribly bitter later, when he would at last think that maybe James was so protective of Harry because he somehow knew how little time they had.

I feel like James Potter isn't really a reader, but if he meets someone who is then he could become one. Like I feel like James is the type of person to read the book he sees his crush/significant other reading just to impress them.

Regulus is a really picky eater. Once he finds a dish he likes at a restaurant he'll just order that every time. He rarely tries out new foods. Regulus also won't let his food touch each other on the plate and eats one thing at a time.

Longbottom Headcanon:

While Alice was a Hufflepuff, Frank was a Gryffindor who was bullied by James Potter until 1977. That year, James was making a turnaround and wanted to make amends with Frank by being nicer to him, being the main one to stand up to Augusta and even getting the shy Frank to ask the clumsy Alice out.

being remus's adopted!sibling would include

constant bickering because you-swear-the-chocolate-wrappings-were-not-present-in-your-room-earlier-that-day or please-stop-stealing-my-sweater-you-have-literal-fur-i-have-nothing-and-its-fucking-cold

having a sibling would totally change his story in small but significant ways; he would love himself more if he knew there was someone to be responsible for. he would love himself more if he knew he had a sibling who won't hesitate to bite if he tries self-negative talks.

he'll be protective over you for sure; and he'd constantly make sure Sirius or James isn't flirting with you.

if you did have a relationship with either of them, it's obviously a secret. Remus would easily figure it out but that's another story.

bonding times are usually accompanied by fewer words. most common ones are reading in the same room or preparing cookies for events.

you force him to go shopping every month with you because everything he had looked the same and to be honest, sirius was the only one with proper fashion sense in his friend group.

he likes baking a lot. he'd show his appreciation for you with beautiful cupcakes (mostly right after fights 'cause that's his way of apologizing to you).

your school had dance and drama showcases etc and he's always in the front row seat with a camera. (even if it's the kind of thing teachers have to force you to participate.)

there are no secrets between you. it was one of the only promises he asked you to make — to tell him everything that's going on in your life.

this has helped you out a ton because whenever you fuck up, you call your brother first 'cause he'd never judge or scold.

lemme rephrase that, he will scold later yes but first he'd know what to do to unfuck the situation. he's the smart sibling fr.

the earliest happy memory you have is him holding you up to the sky when you were 9 or 10, pointing to the stars and promising you magic.

after the war, the stars became achingly beautiful. the worst was over, but a big part of you had gone.

you'd go to his headstone every week to talk, making sure he doesn't miss out anything in your life - just like he had made you promise.

sirius was regulus at birth and vice versa, but sirius is non-binary, and they think sirius fits them better than regulus.

sirius can be a female name and their parents wanted a boy, so they named regulus sirius, but when he transitions from ftm, he realized regulus fit him better.

Headcanon:

While the Marauders are serving detentions because of their pranks, Barty is serving detentions for the sht he's pulled around the school just to annoy his father (the only reason he's read the school handbook back and front).

Every once in a while, they find themselves serving detentions together and all of their friends were suprised the first time they strolled into the Great Hall for breakfast, laughing and talking after spending the entire night polishing cauldrons.

They are now "detention friends" and Regulus wants to jump off the Astronomy Tower because his best friend, brother, and boyfriend are now amicable thus would sometimes gang up to annoy him.
