Eyes On Me
A/N: Guys, girls, and non-binary pearls, I apologize if my author's notes have seemed a little dry. I've been running on empty for a while, but luckily, I have fall break for school coming up. I've also reorganized the the WIP a small bit, so feel free to look at the upcoming fics for the spooky season and beyond. I hope you all are well, in all seriousness. (I've got two small requests to work on before the requests open back up, so look forward to that in the upcoming future.)
TW: Paparazzi
Summary: The media tries to ruin your night-out with Hwasa, but you won't let them ruin your relationship or your mood.
♡ Masterlist ♡
The bright, flashing lights of the cameras blind you as Hwasa takes your hand and leads you through the mob of reporters and photographers.
“Excuse me, let us through!” She calls through with a gentle warning, and you know that if the sea of people don’t part, Hwasa isn’t afraid to get a bit more forward with her response.
Luckily, the reporters and photographers move, but that doesn’t stop the questions from flying or pictures from being taken.
“Hwasa, when did you and them start dating?”
“How does it feel to be dating one of the most popular and famous idols in Korea?”
“Do you think you’re worthy of the admiration of Hwasa, or will she quickly be rid of you like-”
Hwasa cusses them out under her breath as she lets you get into the limousine first. You thank the stars that the windows are tinted out when Hwasa slams the door shut behind them.
Once the car pulls away from the sidewalk, Hwasa shoots you an apologetic look.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry about this. I didn’t think they would follow us to the restaurant, and then wait for us to come out.”
You sigh before shaking your head and looking her in the eye.
“It’s not your fault, Hwasa, it’s just like they said: you’re one of the most popular idols out there.”
Her eyes widen as she reaches over and grabs your hand.
“You don’t really believe everything they say, right?”
“No, I do not.”
She sighs in relief, but does not let go of your hand.
“You’re one of the most important people to me, and I don’t want to see you hurt because of something that’s supposed to be about me. Let me know if they make you uncomfortable, and I’ll make them back off, alright?”
You gently squeeze her hand.
“Most of them are just innocent people trying to do their jobs, so don’t be too hard on them, alright?”
“I won’t, I promise.”
