One day Malleus pops up at Ramshackle Dorm while you are doing laundry.

He sees you struggling to do it while Grim is little to no help, so he offers to help you.

You would think he’s excited from the slight skip in his steps and his fanged smile.

It turns out he is, he’s very excited.

He helps you wash the bedsheets by hand. All the while telling you how he did the same when Silver used to pee his bed, but was too ashamed to tell Lilia, so Malleus would take the sheets and wash them secretly.

Malleus helped you separate the clothes into multiple piles before expertly turning on the laundry machine. From the way he talked, you wondered if he read the entire manual.

You two hung the damp laundry on the lines outside, while Malleus spoke about little Silver and Sebek helping him back in the day.

The two carrying piles of cloths in their hands, some dragging on the ground. The littles ones competing on who can be the biggest help. The wide smile spoke of nostalgia.

As you two folded the laundry, he mentioned how at the end, they all would lay on warm sheets. The little ones falling asleep on him after a long day, with crumbs on their cheeks from the snacks they ate.

Lilia would come home after his trip, would pat each of them and remark how amazing they were.

Malleus spoke, how even he, was included in these affectionate gestures even though he was older than the young ones. You could tell though, he adores the affection he received back then, as he still does now.

As Malleus spoke, you couldn’t help but observe him fondly.

He wasn’t Malleus Draconia, the Future King of Briar Valley, but just himself.

He was simply, Malleus Draconia.

The Fae who loves his family.

(also i apologise if malleus is ooc in any way i'm still in the early books of the game😭)

"Hello." You heard a voice behind you as you exited the classroom. You turned around to find... uh, Hornton, was it? You still can't get over the stupid nickname that Grim picked, but he seems completely okay with you calling him that, so you keep doing it.

What could he possibly want with you?

"Uhh, hi...!" you greeted him back awkwardly.

"I have a somewhat trivial yet important matter I need help with." He opened and you tilted your head slightly. Now your interest is piqued.

"Let's go somewhere more... private." he suggested at your confused expression. You nodded slowly. Though this whole conversation is strange so far, he looks anything but malicious. And knowing him, he never is.

The two of you went to a more secluded part of the school and as soon as you got there, he pulled something out from his pocket, handing it to you. It looked to be a brand new phone.

"Could you help me with this object? I have no idea how to use it and you are the only one I can approach about this." he looked a little worried.

"Sure, what do you need help with?" you offered and his expression softened slightly.

"Turning it on, for starters."

A silence fills the room.

"Ahahahaha, oh jeez... I'm- I'm sorry- hahahaha...!" You couldn't help but laugh. He didn't even know how to turn it on?

Needless to say, he was not amused by your laughter. "If you will laugh at me, I will not be needing your help anymore." He crossed his arms.

"No- No- I'm sorry, I really am." You had to hold back a few giggles. "I'll help- I'll help you, you just shocked me with how little you know about a.. p-phone." He suddenly seemed like a 90 year old grandpa who bought a phone to talk to his grandkids and didn't know the first thing about it. What a funny mental image.

"You're talking strangely." He commented, and you quickly turned the phone in his direction before he could question your attempts at stifling a laugh.

"Here, see this button? You press it and the phone turns on, like this." You demonstrated, and his face lit up.

"I see. But, the salesperson informed me that this phone is unlockable by something called 'Face ID' as well. Do you know what that is by any chance?" The genuine interest in his voice was actually kind of cute.

"Don't worry about all that. Actually, why are you buying a phone only now?" You thought it was strange. If he was this clueless about technology, why buy a modern cellphone all of a sudden?

"During class, some of my classmates were discussing about these so called phones. They talked about something called a 'magicam'. And I... became curious." the little pause at the third sentence made you think that might just not be the full truth. But you have no reason to be suspicious or question him on it, so you just told yourself to forget about it.

"Magicam might be a little too... advanced for you right now. Here, let's start by exchanging contacts." You showed him the 'contacts' app, opening it and inputting your number and your name.

You handed the phone back to him. "Here, now press this green button on the bottom left and you'll call me." he did as you instructed and your phone started vibrating in your pocket. You pulled it out, answering the call.

"Hello!" you said cheerfully.

"I can... hear you twice. Is there magic imbued within a phone?" his eyes were widened slightly, even more so when he heard his own voice from your phone.

"You silly goose, we only hear eachother twice because we're standing right next to eachother. Stay here and place the phone next to your ear, okay?" you smiled at him, walking away.

"I am not silly and I am certainly not a goose. I thought it was obvious enough by taking once glance at me."

"It's not an insult, Hornton. It's like a silly little thing you say to someone when they say something, well, silly." you smile, now completely out of his line of sight and standing in a different room.

After a few moments of silence, he spoke again "I can still hear your voice."

"Yup, that's what a phone is, in essence. Nowadays we use it for a lot of things, but basically, you can call people on it and you'll hear their voice and talk to them, no matter how far away from you they are. Isn't that cool?"

"How very fascinating." you could hear his amusement through the phone.

"Oh, I just have one more thing to do! I'll come back in a moment!" you ended the call, running back to where you were before.

"I got suprised for a moment. The phone made a strange noise and I couldn't hear you anymore." he cleared his throat. He must have panicked a bit when you hung up. How cute. "Calling someone is definitely much more convenient than sending them a letter."

You just realised that he's probably been sending physical, handwritten letters to everyone up until this point which makes him even more charmingly old-timey in your eyes. How funny is that?

"Give the phone here for a moment." you requested and when he did so, you opened the camera app and turned it towards the two of you to take a selfie. You could see him inspect himself through the phone.

"I see, so it functions as a mirror, too. What a marvel."

"Well, do I have news for you. This is the camera app, and we're going to take a photo together. Now smile!" you nudged him slightly and he smiled very awkwardly and unnaturally. Oh well, you'll take it.

You snapped the photo, setting it as his lockscreen.

"Here, now you have a photo of me and you as your background!" he took the phone back, staring at your face on the screen.

"I actually have something I have to be doing right now, so I'll continue teaching you about phones later! Call me if you need anything! Oh, and I'll save your number too, don't worry!" You waved to him, running down the hallway.

"Goodbye." he said back, immediately looking back down at your picture with him. Your face is truly precious in it. He is very glad to be in possession of a photo of you.

He knew you were the right person to ask.

The reason he decided to buy a phone was that he felt sad because he couldn't talk to anyone without a disconnect. Ignoring the fact that most of his classmates are afraid of him, they wouldn't be able to find common ground in hobbies and conversation topics regardless.

So he thought that maybe he could start by getting a phone upon hearing students discuss phone cases and the like. Surely, understanding what the masses currently enjoy would make him more approachable.

He is eternally thankful to you for helping him out.

You're very welcoming to him and that makes him indescribably happy. One day he'll repay you with all the things you could ever want. He has the abilities to do that, after all.

Maybe he should give you something as a thank you next time you meet, actually. What did you say you enjoyed again?

That's what he thought about as he looked at his lockscreen on his bed that night. If only you saw the way he smiled at your photo.

You were completely shocked by this, you knew about his fanbase and you knew they could be a lot but you were just sitting there. waiting for lilia to pack up his guitar and stuff so you could be on your way and now your getting called a tramp by this fan. Sadly this wasn't your first time having to deal with people like this from his fanbase, you were about to say something

But before you could say anything Lilia pop up from behind you and wrapped his arms around you a kissed you behind your ear "is something the matter?" Lilia heard everything, even if he was not in the room, he had good hearing despite his age. He looked at the fan member giving them a small smile trying not to laugh "I Don't think that kind of laugh was need do you?~ fu fu fu" he let out a small chuckle. Amused by the student

The fan member was a bit in shock and apologized before speeding out of there as you were a bit flustered "it quite amusing seeing people still use those words fufufu" he said with another chuckle "we should get going, I still have your high score to beat as the best racer in your dorm~" at that you snap out of the flustered state "oh no you don't!" Lilia was already running out the door as you chased after him (he could have easily teleported but he wanted to make it fun)

Malleus would be walking threw the halls with sliver, sebek and Lilia as they spotted the scene as the student grab you by the wrist, making Malleus angry as he march over. Thunder could be heard from the back ground as he glared at the student making them freeze "I would kindly ask if you let them go" he said his voice dark as sliver was trying to hold Sebek back from attacking

The student gulped "I'm sorry I didn't know th-" Malleus stop them "leave" it was rare for Malleus to be like this so this made you a bit shocked but smiled a bit seeing the student run with there tail in between there legs (if they had a tail)

After that he would try to keep you with him for the whole day but you, Lilia and silver had to convince him otherwise

Ok, ok, it wasn’t like you were the bigger person in the relationship but you two needed to get to class!

It was sweet that he spared a few minutes just to talk to you in the morning near the emptier area of the busy hallway

He could after all teleport away

But he needed to get back to class asap! You knew his class times by heart and currently, he had a minute left!

You told him to go to class five minutes ago…but he gave you those eyes and you couldn’t refuse

“Tsuntaro, you need to go!!”

Damn those pretty emerald eyes of his!

While he’s talking with you, you take some time to just put a layer of your favorite lipstick on, rolling it smoothly on your lips

When you finished putting it away, he’s still talking and you know he’s about to get in trouble with Trein soon!

“Silver was ecstatic when he saw the red dragon, almost fell back if not for Seb-“

You kissed him on the cheek, imprinting a kiss mark on his cheek

He blinks for a second speechless as he sees your smudged lips. His cheeks grow a soft pink. Connecting the dots, he warmly laughs

Before he teleports, he wraps a hand around your waist and kisses you. When he pulls back, he whispers

In the afternoon, during both your free times, you two went near the forest to have a picnic

He wakes up when you kiss his lips, a smile gracing your face. You take your phone out and tapped on the camera app to show him

“I feel like an art piece. I guess so since you’re the artist behind this after all.”

He’s surprisingly a soft and gentle lover, very sweet but still having his usual loud and boisterous personality

He’s like those strict knights, following every rule by the book to please his master!

So! One day, you’re invited to the Diasomnia dinner and you dress yourself up for the occasion like the students in the dorm

Before you meet at the entrance with Silver and Sebek though, you carefully line your lips with lipstick and walk nonchalantly to Sebek

He’s a bit blushy at your more elegant appearance but his face turns apple red when you kiss his cheek

“Wha-what?!”

You can hear a small muffle laugh from Silver but then Sebek whispers, stuttering

“…N-not here! But…c-could I have more later when..when we’re f-finished with dinner..?”

It was almost like a dream coming true, albeit a bit too early. Malleus was still courting his beloved, slowly expressing his interest through his gestures and words, but he loved his beloved so much that his feelings simply gave life to a whole new being. And as soon as he wakes up in the morning, his eyes water when he sees the egg, when he holds it and feels life pulsing inside. Malleus doesn't usually cry but he cries a waterfall while he holds his unborn child. He is just that happy.

His and his darling's child. Your child. He already imagine they would look. Would they look more like you or more like him? Would they smile so sweetly like you? Would they be sassy and funny like you? Gods, he already wished to meet them. Alas, dragon faes take a while to hatch.

Thunder rolls across the dark skies as a sea of feelings passes through him. And while he holds the egg against his chest, Malleus sets out to find you and tell you the news. He knows where you are, he can feel it and in a shower of green fireflies he appears in front of you. Eyes still shining with tears and a light blush over his face.

"Meet our child." He says softly. Softer than anything he's ever said, so happy that he hands you the egg to hold while he explains to you how dragon fae are conceived.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Now, how Malleus act depends on how you react to the news. He could be a doting boyfriend (and someday in the future a husband) to you and an amazing father for the child. If you are happy with the news, he's going to be delighted, already planning your marriage and life in his mind, discussing names for your child and the color palette for their room. Overall the next days he's spending each and every minute by your side.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Though the moment the child is born, all of you are going home. A school is no place for a baby to grow up, if you still want to pursue your education then Malleus is going to hire the best professors to give you private lessons in the castle. And also to help you adapt to fae society if you are human.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ But if you are to reject him or deny being the other parent, Malleus will not take this lightly. The child is yours, no amount of denying will work. You may just be scared but this is no excuse to sprout lies, a new life was born for his love for you and dragon fae needs love from both parents to exist, or so he says. He'll guilt trip into becoming the other parent and to stay with him. He didn't have his parents growing up and he was so so lonely, his child will have both parents present, even if he has to use his magic on you for you to cooperate.

note! I finally did the part 2! although the last part would be Kalim and Jamil.. This was stuck in my drafts and I just noticed now. part 1

idia.

idia is the type of dad to spoil his child since he doesn't really know what else to do, he isn't used to saying affectionate words but he does make it up by spending time with the child and spoiling them.

I believe that idia has some experience in handling kids because of ortho so he wouldn't technically be completely clueless about fatherhood. (also there's a chance that he watched those family animes)

when he first saw his child, he froze. he froze like an ice statue because he's in shock like wow?? is that really his baby?? (the baby literally has his fire hair.)

he's awestruck because of how adorable the baby looks and not to mention how cute it is... idia promises that he'd do anything to make his child smile

he spends his free time bonding with his child by watching numerous animes and playing games that's child friendly of course, even though the child could barely talk... but it is quite endearing to hear the nonsensical babble of your child and idia nodding along with whatever they just said as id he understands them.

“I probably won't be able to buy that much merch anymore... unless I make my child enjoy gaming and anime >:) ”

malleus.

he would isolate his child without knowing he's isolating his child inside his castle. it was how he was raised but his child won't be completely isolated just protected. malleus wants his child to not have the same childhood like the one he had.

malleus would be king by the time he had a child but that doesn't mean his child would rarely see him, no. malleus grew up without experiencing his mother and father’s presence in his childhood that's why he makes sure his child always sees him. malleus's child would practically be in the throne room playing with toys and malleus's tail and also talking gibberish nonsense with the guards that's stationed in the throne room mostly silver and sebek. the scenario goes like this: malleus on his throne listening to silver and sebek's reports while his eyes sometimes stray to his child and his mouth would twitch and turn upwards- the reason was because his child is now currently munching on silver's long cloak while their hand was occupied with grasping sebek's pants. it was an eandering sight.

the first time he saw his child, he cried. the fearsome dragon fae king was shedding tears like a newborn baby and it was because of the mere sight of his child. when the child first opened their eyes- malleus saw his own striking electric green eyes staring right back at him and that was what made him have a wide smile on his face as his child reaches for his horns with their small closed fists.

lilia sometimes makes sure to visit just so he could spend some time with his precious grandchild, yes, his bangs got burned again by a similar green fire that came out of the mouth of the baby he's holding. malleus saw this happen and his reaction was to chuckle while sebek fretted over lilia's now smoking bangs but lilia only waved him off saying that he's used to it by now, and silver is just standing there with a soft smile on his face.

malleus takes you and his child out every night to walk with him in a forest that malleus used to go to back when he was a child whenever he feels overwhelmed with his feelings. the forest is a beauty with it's thorned vines that seems to wrap around trees, there were also some glowing fairies lingering and lighting the beautiful forest. the forest was the meaning of peace and beauty.

malleus hums a familiar lullaby that he used to sing for you back when you both were still at nrc, his hands caressing you and your child's hair as he wraps his arms around the both of you protectively as if the both of you would disappear out of his arms.

Coming off of the Masquerade event & the implication from lot of his voice lines that Malleus & MC spend much more time together than what we see in the game.....

Their friendship means so much to me?

And I feel like MC just makes Malleus less scary by association?

It's giving cheetah in captivity & its emotional support dog like at first it was "sure it's cute but it's also something that could definitely kill me if I got too close" and now it's "okay that's definitely still something that could kill me if I got too close but look at him play with his little puppy wuppy friend🥺"

Beauty and the Beast energy except the Beast is just some traumatized architecture/history/anthropology nerd and the Beauty once yelled at Kalim while he was already crying

Friendship recognised and found between the odd ones out except they're both on the two extreme ends of the "odd ones out" spectrum

Anyway if I spent my whole incredibly long life being so alone that it actually traumatised me, with the only friends I have being people who are also technically my family, unable to make any friends or even get invited to anything because everyone was just so scared of me before they even spoke with me and it was obviously hurting me deeply but I could never really show that because the hurt of that would probably level a city, only for some clueless idiot who, being completely powerless, should have even more right to fear me than everybody else just looks at me and immediately decides I'm their friend and then continues to act on that by giving me a silly nickname and inviting me to things and studying with me and talking with me about my interests and casually touching me because we're friends and that's what friends do I'd lose my fucking shit

I took out a few of the 3rd years bc its too many people for 1 fic but i might make a part 2 where i add the missing 3rd years at some point

He doesn't exactly get why, but he feels kinda annoyed just laying next to you while you hug a big ol plushie

This doesn't feel right🫤

But then again, you look rlly happy and satisfied so he stays quiet since if you're happy, he's happy (he desperately wants to be in the plushy's place)

When you playfully kiss the plush though, that rule no longer applies. After all, his rightful spot is in your arms🫠

He nudges you. "Put the stuffed animal away."

"You sound angry." You smirk and kiss the plush again, knowing he's probably annoyed about that

without another word, he pulls the plushy out of your hands and settles down in its place

"I am a much better than that object. Just so you know." he smiled smugly, expecting a kiss on the cheek just like you gave to the plushie earlier

you kissed him on the lips instead just to see his eyes widen and his face go red ofc 😏

he groaned in annoyance, begrudgingly getting up and finally picking up the sock, then leaving the room to put it in the wash

you smirked victoriously, placing the plushie away as promised and letting him hug you instead

"The things you make me do, smh." he sighed, relaxing into you 😒

"Picking up a singular sock?" you teased him, hugging him back

He didn't reply so that means it's your victory 😝

"I still stand by my opinion too, just worded less harshly." he gently puts an arm around you, stroking your back

it was only a matter of time until you gave up with your stubborn pettiness, soon you'll forgive him too, he'll make sure of that 😌

"A little." he hugged you from the back, getting comfy

"Okay fine, maybe my ex is the better one after all." you let go of the plushie and turned around to hug him back 💗

Rollo: The impure corruption of magic has taken another soul. Obi you've been bewitched! Seduced!

Obi: What took you so long to figure that out?

Sebek: Waka-sammmaaaaaa

(Do I need to explain myself? No I won't. This was supposed to be a low effort sketch comic. But I am apparently unable to leave anything as unfinished. So... I did a thing. NGL this has somehow been the most difficult and easiest comic I've made so far. There were many points where I thought this looked way too ugly. But i stuck it out and Im very satisfied with the result. (Especially the hatching on Malleus and Obi's shoes)

Once again I learned a lot from this. I think that I want to focus more on finding a workflow that is faster moving forward. I want to be able to short hand the complex designs of the twst characters better. I will also be looking into type setting and speech bubbles. I tried to do some more creative stuff with them but idk if it's noticeable. I included the comic without the speech bubbles below. Little brownie points if anyone can figure it out (LOL JK don't look its not that impressive))
