You don't choose whom you fall in love with...

Or so they say

I think they couldn't be more mistaken

Love is a choice to stay

no matter the outcome

Deciding to love unconditionally

both flaws and virtues

Acceptance devoid of judgement

A compromise of courage and tenderness

But having the determination to love someone

Is not a common occurrence

For to love

is to have faith and conviction

scarce qualities

even more so today

Saying I love you

is not a short lived amusement

A sport to play

or a competition to win

When I say I love you

I mean I've decided

I have two setting when it comes to making choices:

A) Act immediately without little forethought or planning.

B) Agonize over my choices, debate pros/cons, put off thinking about it for weeks, get severely anxious about it, and either miss my chance or wonder if I did make the right choice after the fact.

(if you're in the eclipse path/planning on viewing). please don't stare directly at the sun tomorrow. i am begging you - do not stare at it. if you got eclipse glasses off of amazon/other, please put them on in your house and make sure you can't see anything; if you can still see like regular sun glasses, they are not safe for eclipse viewing, you will burn your retinas, and we cannot fix that. eclipse glasses should be iso/ce certified, and aas (american astronomical society) approved. please make smart choices and protect your eyes. please.
