And if you're not happy, you know whose fault it is. Good Morning.

Reminder: if things make you happy, you don’t have to explain it to anyone.

growing up is letting go of the part of you that longed to be cool and accepted to finally let yourself enjoy all the songs your younger self would have deemed cringy and "guilty pleasures" because guess what, guilty pleasures are still pleasures, listen to that shit, get your serotonin who the fuck cares where it came from?

Self-care doesn't have to be expensive. It's about treating yourself and caring for yourself. It doesn't have to be aesthetic or fancy. You could nap, sleep a little longer, go to bed earlier, turn off your devices, drink water, make yourself a snack, watch your favorite show, journal, draw, listen to music, or just go outside if the weather is nice! You don't need to spend your money to take care of yourself, all that matters is that you're happy and healthy.

Lately I been feeling so loved. Its been a very long while since i felt like this. I love the progress i been making on myself. Love how I speak my mind so at ease. I love how I control better of my positive feeling to make them more. I though it would be more difficult to overcome the pain, but the help did help. 🌞
Ill never ever stop putting my mental health first.🫶🏽

Draw what you want. Don't let people push you around.
I had a Homestuck/anime fan tell me yesterday my art would be better if I drew humans instead of furries/animals. I do want to mention that you can like what you want, including anime (which is such a broad label) and Homestuck, but don't act like you're better than people because they have different interests that you see as worse. Especially don't tell someone their art is bad because it isn't what you draw or what you see as good.
💖 You don't need to "fix your art" for anyone 💖 as long as what your drawing is harmless (which, most people's art is) and it makes you happy, then do it! 💖

What's important to you is ultimately up to you! You shouldn't let other people's opinions take precedent over your own priorities. 🙌 People are going to give you unsolicited advice all of the time, but that doesn't mean that you have to live up to it. You are allowed to take control of your life and to live it in a way that makes you happy, regardless of what anyone else says. 😁
What is important to you is going to be different than what is important to someone else. What matters is that you have your priorities straight. 🤨 Taking care of your needs—physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, financial—all of these things should be on the top of your list, and everything else will naturally fall into place behind them. 😌

I'm not great at drawing anything other than stick figures, but my son still thinks I can teach him a thing or two.
I don't know much about paintings and sculptures, but I love it when I'm moved by a beautiful image someone else made, just so the world could see something pretty.
I can't make music or sing any bit better than false, but I love to listen to what others do, and I appreciate how it makes me feel all kinds of things that I need to feel.
I can't knit, crochet or sew anything, but since I was a kid, I've always worn the clothes my mum and grandma made with pride.
I'm a lousy actor, but I love a good movie that makes me forget about my own issues for a few hours. Bonus points for catharsis of any kind.
I'm not witty by nature, but I love stand-up comedy or even your regular Joe who has a smart answer to anything.
I'm not a technician, but I love to see people who get enthusiastic of inventing, creating or improving things, or who take two things and make them into something entirely new.
I'm an awful dancer, but I love seeing other people do all kinds of moves on the dance floor and dream of being able to move so gracious myself.
All of those things, I can only do at a very basic level or not at all. And all those things make my world prettier, my life easier, distract me from my own problems or give me time to just relax and do what is important to me. Art helps me to stay happy. You don't need to be able to do something yourself to truly appreciate what others did.
I love reading books, diving in someone else's world, and thinking about it between chapters or while doing other daily things. Writing is one artsy thing I can do, be it on the level of an experienced hobbyist. I only share it in my home, but the ones I do share it with feel privileged that they're important enough for me to trust them that much.
What I often see is that people start a hobby, become enthusiastic, dream of doing it professionally, and when it doesn't happen, they just abandon it. Why would you do that? Even if it only costs you time and money, if it makes you happy doing it, isn't that worth doing it? And if you show your work to people around you, do you think no one would appreciate it? Your creativity, in whichever way, makes you a prettier, wholesome person. Spread your love ❤️

Fun fact: There was a time people piled on me for wearing a cosplay to see the Mario Movie.
Like oh no I'm wearing a costume to see a movie? I'm sorry you didn't like me having fun bro. I don't like to use the term cancel culture as it is a means to deflect criticism, but I call it how it is bullying. And "cringe culture"? Boy just call it how it is as well, bullying. People really do be up and arms over wearing FABRICS to be like a fictional character.

Can't wait to see the Barbie movie in my Wednesday cosplay. And that one other movie as Princess Peach.
