P.S. Now the main attention of the mass media is on the Middle East, but we must not forget that the Russian imperialists continue to commit war crimes in Ukraine
The An-225 Mryia is currently the world’s largest aircraft. It is also the heaviest and longest fixed-wing aircraft ever built. The design is based on the Soviet Union’s strategic bomber Antonov An-22, which entered service in the mid-1980s.
The Antonov An-225 was designed to transport oversized cargo that cannot be moved by other aircraft. The first prototype took its maiden flight in 1988, and production started in 1993. Between 1994 and 2004, six AN-225s were built, with another five planned. However, only one AN-225 has been completed so far: a first flight aircraft delivered in December 2008.
