Sybel (The Forgotten Beasts of Eld)
Manga/Anime:
Jack Vessalius, Vincent Nightray, Rufus Barma (Pandora Hearts)
Vanitas and Jeanne (The Case Study of Vanitas)
Wolfgang Grimmer (Monster)
Count D (Petshop of Horrors)
Kurapika (Hunter x Hunter)
Tv Shows:
Villanelle (Killing Eve)
Max (Black Sails)
Mike Ehrmantraut and Kim Wexler (Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad)
Michael (The Good Place)
Movies:
Evelyn Carnahan O’Connell (The Mummy)
Ripley (Alien)
Hideko (The Handmaiden)
Mulan
I decided to check if there were similarities between my favorite characters and there were some surprising results. Apparently I seem to like the mentioned bellow character tropes the most. There were some that I found irrelevant like eating a lot, others were related to the plot and not necessarily the personality of the character and I also might have missed some (there are so many). In the end, these are the tropes I can see why I like them and I can think of multiple characters that fit them even if they are not in the list of absolute favorites. The tropes are in alphabetical order.
Anti-Hero: Vanitas, Count D. Gollum, Granny
Badass Bookworm: Kurapika, Evelyn, Fitz
Berserk Button: Mike, Kim, Grimmer, Jack, Vanitas, Jeanne, Kurapika, Sophie, Howl, Death, Vincent
Beware the Nice Ones: Sophie, Grimmer, Jeanne, Kurapika, Ripley, Death
Big Sister/Big Brother Instinct: Villanelle, Vanitas, Kurapika, Orso
Bitch in Sheep’s Clothing: Jack, Michael, Gollum, Savine
Consumate Liar: Vanitas, Michael, Vick
Deadpan Snarker: Ripley, Evie, Michael, Hideko, Death, Ardee, Orso
Defrosting Ice Queen: Jeanne, Sybel, Hideko
Determinator: Sophie, Grimmer, Jeanne, Kurapika, Ripley, Death, Evelyn, Gollum, Fitz
Hero with bad publicity: Vanitas, Kurapika, Orso, Fitz (in contrast Savine is Villain with good publicity :D)
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Vanitas, Ripley, Michael, Howl, Granny, Jezal
Living Lie Detector: Kim, Jack, Kurapika
Manipulative Bastard: Jack, Vanitas, Michael, Death, Savine, Vincent, Barma
Nerves of Steel: Mike, Jeanne, Michael, Orso
Stepford Smiler: Grimmer, Jack, Vincent, Vanitas (I admit I like this in manga/anime characters...)
The Ace: Mike, Kurapika, Fitz, Bee
The Chessmaster: Jack, Michael, Savine, Vincent
Troll: Villanelle, Vanitas, Michael
Some of my favorites don’t even show up in these tropes, but that is also because the Realm of the Elderlings series is really empty in that site. Anyways,
MAJOR TROPES I LIKE (More than 4 characters):
Berserk Button, Beware the Nice Ones, Deadpan Snarker, Determinator, Jerk with a Heart of Gold and Manipulative Bastard.
Makes sense tbh XD I will keep updating this list ahah
Major Plot Tropes I like (in order):
Foreshadowing, Bittersweet Ending, Abusive Parents (for some reason my fav books have a lot of that...), First-Person Perspective, Earn Your Happy Ending, Deal with the Devil, Checkhov's Gun, Unreliable Narrator, Functional Magic, Decadent Court, Even Evil Has Loved Ones, Gothic Horror, Gray and Grey Morality, Hero of Another Story, I want my Beloved to be Happy, I just want to have friends

Rules: name your top 10 favorite characters from 10 different canons and then tag 10 people.
I was tagged by @kawree! This is going to be really hard, because I keep forgetting about fandoms I’ve formerly been in.
1. Riku (Kingdom Hearts)
What a good redemption arc. What a (sometimes) good child. What good angst. What good friendships.
2. Yuna (Final Fantasy X)
I’m going to level with you, my original FFX fave was Auron, but over the years I haven’t...fallen out of love with him, exactly, but I’ve fallen more in love with Yuna. I love her strength of will, her occasional poor choices, and her immense capacity for love.
3. Sam Gamgee (The Lord of the Rings/does all the Tolkien Legendarium count as one?)
Sam is the best character, better even than Faramir and Eowyn who are both really high up there and have been higher in my past as well. But for who I am now, the smallest, least destined, least “noble” character, who nevertheless accomplishes and is so much, is the favorite.
4. Libertus Ostium (Final Fantasy XV/Kingsglaive)
He’s a character I identify with a lot, and he gets a great character arc/development in accordance with events. He will fight you if you fuck with his family, he gives them constant shit, but he’s also very open about how much he loves them. Doesn’t get enough love from the fandom by a long shot.
5. Equius Zahhak (Homestuck)
Look. Look. We can’t control what we identify with, ok??? As much as I’d love to be a Rose Person or a Roxy Person, I’m an Equius Person. A sweaty, socially incapable, Designated Joke of an Equius Person. Also he has the best moirail, so jot that down.
6. Digger-of-unnecessarily-convoluted-tunnels (Digger)
Guys, if you haven’t read this webcomic by comedic and fantastic leading light Ursula Vernon, do so. It’s hilarious, it’s touching, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and Digger herself is simply amazing. Common sense can take you a long way, where destiny is concerned.
7. Gertrude “Arsenic” Yorkes (Runaways/Marvel)
Speaking of characters with whom I identify, have you ever seen a fat girl as a main character in a comic before, where it wasn’t about her weight? Neither have I. She’s the bitchy teenage girl I wish I’d had the confidence to be, and I hear she’s alive again in the reboot/new issues, which is great! Bizarrely heterosexual.
8. Trisana Chandler (Circle of Magic)
Speaking of fat girls, Tris was incredibly formative for me because she was the first time in fiction there was a girl like me, a fat redhead with glasses and a lot of anger, and she was allowed to do magic and make a family and be a badass protagonist! Also bizarrely heterosexual, or at least that’s what her writer thinks. Fool. I have assimilated Tris into myself. My city now.
9. Edmund Pevensie (Chronicles of Narnia)
Another redemption-arc buddy. I was a Lucy child, but I’ve grown into Edmund, or vice versa. I’m really into the idea that you don’t have to stay a bad person, which now that I say it says something uncomfortable about the kind of person I believe myself to be. Gotta work on that self-image.
10. Maia Drazhar, Edrehasivar VII (The Goblin Emperor)
I am hesitant about this because there are so many other great characters in this book, but Maia is a delight to live inside the head of, even though the inside of his head is often far from delightful. I appreciate his gentleness, his will to be soft even when there is no benefit to it.
Oh gosh, now I’m supposed to tag other people? Uh uh uh... I tag ~all of you~! Go forth, my minions, and tell me about your problematic faves!

Law
Laws must be clear, precise, and uniform for all citizens.
-Marquis de Lafayette
General
This is a roleplay blog for Female!Lafayette from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical and Female!Sauron from JRR Tolkien’s Legendarium.
This blog is independent, selective and private.
This blog is established on March 2017, redid on July 2017. Formerly known as dcvoue None of the GIFS or Icons are mine (I am far too lazy). As I said above, I am selective. Please do not take it personally if I choose not to roleplay with you. If I do follow you, a reminder is necessary: This is a sideblog, my main blog is: amlugnis I am tracking #loyalservents
I also accept AUs but crossovers only happen if I am familiar with one’s fandom. I do multiple threads with others but it should have limitations since I got other roleplay partners to reply to. And if you roleplay a Lafayette, too, don’t worry! I love to roleplay with my character’s duplicates, I just need to discuss things with the mun first regarding their relationship.
You can remind me about our threads but do not force me to reply as it will only cause me to drop our threads. I require respect and patience when you roleplay with me as I can be extremely slow.
Please, please, PLEASE specify which muse you want to send a meme to, I do not read minds nor do I like guessing games.
Writing
I write semi-paragraphs but multi-paragraphs and novella are my most preferred methods. I use British English in my roleplay but American English would be seen as well. My formatting is in smaller texts and icons will be inserted somewhere in the response (unless my partner does not use any). For Mairon, her dialogues are written in (an attempted) iambic pentameter.
It’s fine if you do not match my length but please reply more than just a one liner and something for me to work with. I value the content of the reply rather than the formatting in your reply. If there is anything that makes me drop a thread, it is constant reminder to reply to your thread.
Anxiety is triggered when you keep silent for a while. If you drop a thread, tell me. I never hold a grudge and I respect everyone and I understand people do not always have a muse for some plot or muse.
Triggers
Please tag violence and please refrain from using brutal icons, the mun is hemophobic. I dislike incest (the closest is between cousins when I roleplay Lafayette) as well as beastiality, animal abuse and suicide. Other dark themes will be tagged in every thread I post.
I am not interested to write smut. Please do not force me to write it with you. I’m just not comfortable with it.
Muses
I have two mains that mostly appear in this blog. They’re the only ones with different verses (although I may make exceptions because I’m a little shit with no self-control).
Female!Lafayette, based off the musical, ‘Hamilton: An American Muiscal’ by Lin Manuel Miranda with a hint of historical influences.
Female!Sauron, based off the books written by JRR Tolkien.
The following three are picky muses to write.
Heather Chandler, based off the movie and musical 'Heathers’.
Jim Moriarty, based off the BBC series 'Sherlock’.
Lady Macbeth, based off the play 'Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare.
Ships
Chemistry is required when shipping with me. I literally ship everything within the Hamilton fandom. From Washette to Mullette to Lafferson to even Lafayette x Burr which I never knew the ship name of, et cetera. If you roleplay Adrienne, kindly come into my IM and let us discuss about our precious babus.
This does not mean I would neglect platonic, friendly and even rivalry shippings, I love these! SO SHOVE THEM DOWN MY THROAT!
By default, I will place an undefined marital status tag in roleplays with Lafayette unless we/I established Marie’s status, whether or not she is married. It helps if you decide to tell me.
Portrayal
Lafayette is heavily influenced by the musical, not historically but there will be a little bit of those bits. She is genderbent, therefore I will putting a lot of headcanons on her. Lafayette is referred to as 'Marie’ from Gilbert’s title (because I avoid changing names when genderbending). Sometimes it depends how Marie joined the revolution but I remain standing by her being persuasive and intelligent enough to join the revolutions. I am not exactly familiar with this part of history, I never really studied about Lafayette.
I also gave Marie two faceclaims: Yaya Dacosta & Liza Soberano (Liza is only used when my rp partner and I agree as I am aware not many are fond of this faceclaim).
Mairon is genderbent, yes, but she preferred being called ‘Lord’ or 'King’. She believes 'Queen’ and 'Lady’ are feeble titles. So she would probably be very much offended if you call her those. She is also a Maia– one of the strongest, probably, so it’s only natural Mairon might be overpowering (unless you’re Vala then… rip).
Mairon’s faceclaim is Natalie Dormer.
In short, they’re canon divergent.
While Heather Chandler is based off the musical and the movie, Jim Moriarty is based on the TV series and Lady Macbeth is based off the play.
Mun
The name is Panther, a she/her, demisexual panromantic, I am studying. I am passionate about theatre, literature and music. I write stories, proses and poetry. I come from the Philippines but I currently live in Brunei (i know you had to Google that, don’t fucking lie)

Every Baby Name We Could Possibly Think Of
Naming your baby is a big decision, and with endless options, it can also be a difficult one. Whether you're going the traditional route or want something more unique (if so, read this first!) it's helpful to have a little, or a lot, of inspiration. Ahead, you'll find nearly every baby name we could think of (close to 1,000!). These aren't just random names we found in a book or concocted ourselves - they're almost all monikers we've heard being used, or we actually know someone who goes by the name. Urban independent cinema arrives at the BT Tower this September as festival director Addie Akinrinade announced this year’s selections and schedule for 2017, sponsored by BT.
Akinrinade confirmed that the London premiere of Free In Deed will open this year’s film festival at the BT Tower on Wednesday the 6th of September and will feature a live Q&A with actor David Harewood who stars in the lead role as a pastor with healing powers set in an American black church.

Also to be screened at the world famous venue will be the London premiere of Chapter and Verse on Friday the 8th of September. The movie centres around a reformed gang leader from Harlem, played by Daniel Beaty, and also stars Omari Hardwick and Emmy award-winning actress Loretta Devine. Akinrinade also announced that the 5th annual renewal of the Live Script Readings is to take place on Thursday the 7th of September. The readings will be hosted by actor Wil Johnson.
The festival programme will also feature the London premieres of Blue Hollywood (directed by Francesco Gabriele), hair documentary Back to Natural, and Stay Woke (a documentary from B.E.T about the Black Lives Matter movement).
On Saturday 9 September, Africa features heavily in the line-up with the documentary Black Stars of Highlife and African rom-com Potato Potahto (starring O.C Ukeje & Joselyn Dumas).
